“Ian, why is Mom here? Why did you arrest her?” Javier asked his brother.

He is very surprised to see their mother sitting on the floor, with cuffs in her hands.

“That’s what we are about to find out, son” Mr Morg-n replied him.

Everyone’s gaze fell on Nancy, she look around and her eyes land on Mr Morg-n, she looked at him apologetically.

“My only crime is having an affair with Jeremy,,,”

Jeremy cut her off with a scoff.

“An affair? You were supposed to marry me, we were lovers! Have you forgotten how you got married to Morg-n?”

Ian, Javier and Mr Morg-n turn to Nancy. Ian narrowed his eyes at her.

“What is he talking about, Mom?!” He asked her, but Nancy couldn’t speak.

She shake her head and tears flowed down her cheeks.

“I-i can’t say,,, it’s too shameful”

“If you can’t say it, I’ll help. I will say everything according to how it happened!” Jeremy pipes.

Flashback

28 years ago…..

|| Jeremy ||

I can’t believe at the result I’m holding,, how can this be? I’m not one of the Morg-ns?

“Jer, what does the results say?” Nancy asked.

She’s laying on my bed, we just had a passionate moment before my assistant brought the results of my DNA test.

“I’m not their son! It’s true, what Nanny Lola said is true!”

“What did she say?”

“She once told me, that I was adopted by the Morg-ns. She said I was abandoned by their gate and they found me, they didn’t want me to suffer so they adopted me”

She sigh and faced me with a smile.

“Well, it’s a good thing you were adopted by them, at least now you’ll have a bright future!”

I sat down on the bed next to her.

“Nancy, you don’t understand,,,you don’t understand what this means!”

“What does it mean?”

“It means I’m not gonna get any of this,,,this mansion, the Morg-n’s enterprise, nothing would be mine! It’ll all go to Smith!”

She gasp and stare at me.

“That’s bad,,,then what will become of us! I can’t imagine you losing everything to Smith, if that happens we’ll have nowhere to go! We’ll be living in the streets! We’ll become beggars! No, no, I can’t live like that!” She panicked.

I kept quiet and lay back on the bed, I can’t let my beloved woman suffer. After much thought, an idea pop in my head and I sat up abruptly.

“I have the perfect idea!”

“Really?!”

“Yeah, but you gotta help me!”

“Me? How?”

“I want you to approach Smith, he doesn’t associate with women too much. But if you can befriend him, then he must surely fall for you”

“What will happen after he falls for me?”

“Marry him and we’ll slowly transfer the properties to your name. Then we’ll go far away and enjoy our lives”

Nancy thinks about it and smiled at my plan, she hug me and shower me with k-sses.

One month later,,,,,,,

Nancy stomp into my room angrily and sat on my bed, I shut my laptop and rushed to her.

“What happened? Why do you look so upset?”

“Bad news!”

I frown.

“What do you mean by that? Did he find out about us?”

She shake her head.

“Then what happened? Talk to me”

“I’m,,, I’m pregnant!”

I stilled and stare at her with mouth wide open… Pregnant? When we haven’t even started our mission?

“Wait,,, have you successfully make him fall for you?”

“Yes,, and,,,, we have done it too”

“Done what? s€×?”

“Yes”

A smile suddenly find it’s way to my face.

“That’s good! Very good! We can just tell him he’s the father of the baby”

“What? We can’t do that,,, what if he doesn’t agree?”

I scoff.

“I know him, he’ll take responsibility without second thoughts. Just tell him you are carrying his baby!”

Nancy stays silent for a few minutes, I look at her trying to figure out what she is thinking but I couldn’t.

“Ok, I will tell him” I smile and placed a lingering k-ss on her forehead.

End of flashback.

After listening attentively to Jeremy, Ian turned to his mother and asked.

“Mom, is he telling the truth?”

Nancy couldn’t say a word, she keeps crying and avoiding to make eye contact with anyone.

Smith (Mr Morg-n) steps forward and stops in front of Ian.

“He’s telling the truth, son!”

“What?!”

“I started suspecting them after you had an accident and you needed blood transfusion, my blood didn’t match but my brother’s blood match.

I was confused, because my brother and I suppose to have the same blood group. So I had my assistant, Joseph, keep an eye on Nancy. She later overheard them talking about how their plans are gonna be successful soon.

When he told me, I was forced to conduct a DNA test for both you and Jeremy, that’s when I found out that you’re my biological son, but my nephew.

I was so angry, I felt betrayed. I asked Nancy about it but she didn’t give me a good explanation. It was later that Joseph, found a doc-ment in Jeremy’s study, it’s a file that contained his own DNA results. Joseph snapped it and email it to me, though he picked the file and that was the biggest mistake he made.

Jeremy found out about it and sent him warning notes to stay away from our mansion and that’s what Joseph did. He resigned and steer clear of our mansion.

One thing lead to the other, Jeremy came into my bedroom and we had an argument. I threatened to arrest him, I didn’t know he has made friends with some bad guys,,,,in fact he was their boss. He had me at gun point and called his boys to kill everyone in mansion.

He aimed at my heart and pulled the trigger, I was fast to shake my body and the bullet narrowedly missed my heart. I played dead in hopes that he’ll leave, but he surprisingly hanged me. I was too weak to save myself, I thought I’d died and I begin to feel sorry for you, I thought he’d be the one to raise you”

Ian’s fisted hands starts shaking as he is trying hærd to digest the information he’s getting.

*So, Jeremy’s my dad’s murderer!* Aurora thought to herself, she looked at him with so much hate.

“Jeremy, you bastard!! How can you be my dad!!!” Ian growled.

“Everything I did is for you, my son!” Jeremy said.

“So, you mean you killed innocent people for me? Did I asked for that?!!”

“Ian, I killed them to make sure you inherit the Morg-n’s enterprise,,,,I did it to make you the master of this mansion”

“You. Are. A. Beast!!” He roared, he reached for his gun and aims it at Jeremy. “You know what? I want to kill you do badly, I want to take your life to compensate those lives that you wasted!!!”

Jeremy scoffed.

“I’m your father, do you think you can hurt me? Can you kill your own, biological father?”

“You are not my father!! My father can’t be a monster like you!!” He shoots Jeremy’s right leg trice and Jeremy gro-n loudly. “Why did you f-cking do this?!!”

“I did it to make you have a bright future! I want people to shiver in fear at the mention of your name,,,,, that’s what every father would want for his son”

Ian laughs hysterically and claps his hands.

“Good, I’ll show you just how heartless I’ve become, I’ll show you how people shiver in fear when they see me!”

He rushes out of the dungeon. Javier walk towards their Mom and knelt in front of her.

He wipes her tears, he stares at her not knowing what to say.

“Mom, why? So, you never did love dad? Everything I grew up to meet is a lie,,,a very big lie! Why did you do this to us?! All these years, you’ve been pretending to have dad in your heart!”

She sob loudly and shake her head.

“No,,, it’s not,,,,,”

“What do you mean no??!!” Javier cut her off with a glare. “You married my dad because of his money! You cheated on him multiple times and lied to him! Does his feelings mean nothing to you?!”

“I,,I love your dad,,,”

“Really?!”

“Yes,,,after I gave birth to Ian, I noticed I have fallen in love with your father. I tried to end things with Jeremy but he keeps on blackmailing me,,,I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to lie” she cries.

Javier stands up and shake his head in disagreement.

“Mom, you’ve disappointed me!” Nancy grab his leg and cry more.

“I’m sorry,,son,,, please forgive me,,,beg your brother, tell him to forgive me”

“My brother? You mean Ian?” He scoffed. “I don’t think I can forgive you, how do you expect Ian to forgive you. Don’t you know he’s the most hurt one among us?!” He pushed her away and walked towards Brittany, he rest his head on her shoulder and sob.

Smith faced Nancy, he looked at her heartbroken, pity in his eyes.

“Nancy, I loved you with all my heart, why did you have to do this?”

“I’m sorry,,I’m so, sor,,,,,,,,”

“Shut up, Mom!!” Ian interrupted her.

He’s back, he’s holding a large box in his hands. He puts it down and glared at Nancy with great anger.

“There were many chances for you to speak why didn’t you say anything?! I’m ashamed to call you my mother!!” Nancy looked at Ian’s red eyes.

She can see how hærd Ian is fighting to stay strong, she knows Ian is very heartbroken but he’s putting on a tough front.

She knows there’s nothing she can do or say to correct the mistakes she has made.

Aurora observe the situation and realized how angry Ian is, she is also angry but she needs to divert his attention from his mother for now or he’ll do something regretful.

“Who is that lady? How come she looks like me?” Aurora asked, luckily this caught Ian’s attention.

Ian turned to her.

“She’s Jeremy’s accomplise. She was posing as you to fool me, so that Jeremy can kill you. It’s your call, what should we do to her?”

Aurora take a closer look at the imposter, she’s crying and shaking her head. She saw how Ian shot Jeremy without second thoughts, she don’t want the same fate to befall her.

“Ma’am, please have mercy,,,I was forced to do this,,,,,I have a 5years old daughter to cater for,,, please don’t kill me” she lamented.

Aurora stays silent and look at her,,,she knew this lady did wrong but she have to let her go for the sake of her daughter.

She knew how hærd it was for her without a mother, she doesn’t want any other kid to experience that.

She smiled.

“Dean, let her go!”

Everyone paused and stared at her in disbelief.

“Let her go?!” Ian exclaimed.

“Yes,,,I don’t want her daughter to suffer”

“But,,,,”

“Please, Dean, let her go!”

Ian hesitate for a while but signal Brandon to esc-rt the imposter out.

“Thank you, ma’am,,,thank you very much, ma’am” the imposter said, Rora simply smiles.

Ian turn back to Jeremy who is still gro-ning because of the pains in his leg.

“I’ll show you just how cruel I am today!” He growled.

Aurora glared at Jeremy from where she is sitting, her mother too is glaring at Jeremy, in fact she feels like killing Jeremy herself.

*I’ll watch how Dean gives this monster a slow painful death!*

Ian takes a very sharp knife and step closer to Jeremy, he tear off his shirt and smirk.

“What are you doing, Ian. Are you trying to kill your father?!” Jeremy asked in fear.

” No, my dear father. I just want to show you how people shiver in fear when they see me!”

He raised the knife higher and sliced a very large part of Jeremy’s skin on his stomach, Jeremy open his mouth wide as a piercing sound leaves his mouth.

This scene seems to bring back memories, so Aurora close her eyes.

*I can’t bear to watch, but I can enjoy his scre-ms*

Javier closes Britt’s eyes as Ian continue his work. He continues slicing each part of Jeremy’s skin until there’s no skin left on Jeremy’s upper body, only fresh wounds.

Not minding his agonizing scre-ms, he picks a dagger and waved it in front of Jeremy.

“I was practicing target, but I couldn’t finish, how about I continue with you?!”

Jeremy shake his head desperately, he can’t even utter a word, the pain he is in is too much for him to speak.

Ian threw the dagger and it lands on Jeremy’s peeled body which increases his cries but Ian doesn’t care. He continues throwing his daggers until all 350 are perfectly pierced into his body.

“Ian,,, t-that,,, that’s enough,,, all I,,,, did was for you”

Ian sighs.

” And this my way of saying thank you!”

He takes out a small box of ashes and poured it all over Jeremy’s body.

“Ian, that’s enough, just end him”

“Dad, I’m not done having fun yet”

“He’s not worth our time, he’s an ungrateful bastard, just kill him already” Smith said.

Ian nods reluctantly and takes out his gun. He aimed at Jeremy and starts shooting from his manh-od up to his head.

He throws his gun in the ground when he’s done and dust his hand. He glared at his mother.

“I’ll talk about you later!”

He turned away from her.

“Brandon!”

“Yes, General!”

“Take my Phoebe to our room to rest, help aunt to a guest room, I’m going for a drive I don’t know when I’ll get back” he commands and head towards the exit.

Aurora wanted to call him back but Javier stop her.

“He needs to cool off, let him go” he said.

She nods and let Brandon push her away. Javier look at Jeremy’s body and his mother, he shakes his head and leaves with Brittany.

Smith looked at Nancy one last time and left without saying a word to her.

Nancy continue crying, regretting what she has done to herself.
