Jewel tried to calm down, breathing heavily as the doctors came in fully

Kingsley kept glaring at her as if to just kill her

“Stop looking at me that way” Jewel said

“You don’t own my eyes so you can’t dictate what I should do or not do with it” he replied

” You’re a jerk and an idiot” she yelled

“You’re a witch and a fool!” he yelled back

“you two!” Doctor Kang shouted again

An intern rushed in

“Doctor Kang, the patient we operated upon earlier woke up too” he said

” Shit, he’s not supposed to wake yet” Dr Kang said and faced Jewel and Kingsley

” See what you’ve caused?” He said

They both calmed down as the doctor followed the intern out of the ward with the other doctors

“I should go home since you’re awake already, I’m outta here” Kingsley said and left the ward immediately

Jewel sat on the bed and inhaled hærd. “That jerky nuthead” she said slowly as she dialled Love’s line but she’s not picking throughout the first and second ring

She tried Pearl’s line too but it’s off and when she called Veera, she’s not picking too

“They must all be fast asleep, does that mean I’ll have to sleep here till tomorrow morning?, Gosh!” She said, pulling the covering over her head

Kingsley got to the parking lot and surprisingly, his car is nowhere to be found

“These guys must be kidding me, they took my car away?” He said, dialling Veera’s line

She picked after some minutes and grunted at first

“Where the hell is my car?” He asked

“It’s here at home, Jasmine told your driver to take it home” she replied

“Now why will he order my driver to take my car home, how am I supposed to drive back home?, Tell my driver to bring my car to the hospital” he replied

” Guess you didn’t check the time, it’s past twelve for the love of fresh apple” Veera replied

” Then am I supposed to stay here with that psycho?” He replied

” Jewel woke up?” Veera asked

” I don’t want to talk about her, just tell the driver to bring my car” he replied

” You know what Kingsley?, I’d have done that but I’m too tired to go downstairs and tell one of them, moreover I need to get to sleep, see you tomorrow morning, I’ll send your car by then” Veera replied and hung up

” Hello… hello…Veera…”

Kingsley realized she has hung up and frustratedly threw his phone away

“Of all the sisters in the world, why do I have to have you as my sis?, Veera I hate you” he said to himself

He started walking back into the hospital reluctantly, not believing he’s going to face the witch again

“Wait,…I can just tell doctor Kang to give me a private ward to sleep in” he thought but throughout his search for doctor Kang, he couldn’t find him and when he asked from one of the interns, he was told he’s in the middle of a surgery

“Then you can give me a private ward to sleep in” he told the intern

” No sir, all the wards are occupied already, yesterday was busy and patients kept rushing in, that’s why everywhere is full, the only available one is the one we gave to your girlfriend” the intern said

” Girlfriend? ”

” Yes, the girl you carried here in your arms yesterday” she replied

” Don’t!, Ever call her that again, I don’t even know her and she’s not even an inch close to me, call her that again and I won’t take it lightly” he replied and walked away

” Girlfriend?, Absurd” he huffed and stopped by the door of the ward

” So the devil decided to push me to my doom this night, Kingsley you’re f*cked up” he thought before entering

Jewel is sleeping on the bed already, occupying everything without leaving out any space by spreading her legs and arms

“Thankfully she’s asleep” he thought and sat on the chair he was sitting on earlier

He looked at her and frowned. “I don’t find her attractive in anyway, I wonder how she came as a human, a tiger would have been better” he thought

Jewel sleepily turned her face to him and pouted sleepily, she took in her lower lip and let it out wetly before pouting again then she went steady and slept off once again

Kingsley shifted uncomfortably on his seat and inhaled. “She’s….a witch” he said silently, deciding to sleep too.

Next morning**

Jewel woke up first and when she saw Kingsley on the chair, she squinted

“So he never left, jerk” she said and sat up before drawing closer to him

“He looks like a responsible guy while asleep, it’d have been better if you came as a sleeping statue” she thought

An idea slipped into her mind and she decided to make use of it, she got her phone and snapped his sleeping face

“He looks so simple and the arrogance left his face while asleep, different from the jerky nuthead” she said and Immediately she finished snapping the third one, he opened his eyes

“What the hell are you doing?” He asked, quickly standing up

” I snapped the simple Kingsley Brown” she said and stick out her tongue before rushing out of the ward

“Snapped…my sleeping face?, Huh?” Kingsley said to himself and realized what it means Immediately

He looks too simple while asleep and the fact that it makes him look weak, he hates it when people see him sleeping

He rushed out of the ward and met up with Jewel at the hallway but Jewel increased her pace and ran farther

He kept chasing and she kept running, making fun of him till they ran out of the hospital together

“Witch, you need to delete that” he said when she finally stopped beside the road, walking backwards

“I own my phone so you have no right to dictate what to do and what not to do with it” she replied

” You really really need to delete that, stop frustrating my life!” He said frustratedly, shouting at the top of his voice

” You’re at the risk of losing your voice if you keep that up, if the great Kingsley Brown goes dumb it’ll be embarrassing right?, Goodbye jerky nuthead” Jewel winked and without looking back at the road, she made to cross

At the same time, a car is coming, Jewel felt it’s too late to try escaping so she just stood there , expecting the car to hit her any second, Kingsley didn’t think of anything else when he saw that

His adrenaline shot massively and he ran just three steps to grab her hand and swiftly pulled her out of the road, her forehead slammed on his chest and they both fell

The car sped off and Kingsley breathed heavily, Jewel opened her eyes and slowly looked up , she’s on top of Kingsley and when their eyes met, a shawl of embarrassment wrapped around her

She quickly stood and looked at her phone on the ground, it’s slightly broken as a result of the fall

Kingsley stood and gave her an hærd look

“You’re annoying, I swear it, and I hate you” he said and left angrily

First time he’ll be speaking and Jewel found it hærd to talk back, she gently bent down and picked her phone which has just a slight crack on the screen

“I’m screwed” she said to herself

A car she recognized as one of the cars she bought with her sisters stopped just beside the road and out of it came Love and Pearl

“What are you doing here?, And where’s King Kong?” Love asked

” He’s gone, I actually came here to wait for you guys” Jewel replied

“Your phone fell?’ Pearl asked, taking it from her

“Yes it fell, mistakenly” Jewel replied

* You can just get another one” Pearl said and Jewel smiled but her smile vanished when she remembered Rosie

“I’m so dead!, Where did you guys tell mum I was?” She asked

” Trust your sisters , we told her you’re at Veera’s place for a group assignment, she was so happy that her daughter is rolling with the daughter of the great Kay and Bianca Brown” Pearl replied

” I’m relieved, I need to go home and prepare for school” Jewel replied and got in the car with them

Throughout the drive home, she won’t stop wondering why he saved her

“My sweet daughters!” Joey scre-med when they all entered the house

” is he drunk again?” Jewel wondered loudly

” I don’t think so, mum just released him from his room this morning” Pearl replied

” Come here you all” Joey said and Jewel led the way to him

Beverly has drove with Rosie to school

“Sit beside me” Joey said and Jewel sat on his left hand side while Love and Pearl sat on his right hand side

He looked at them all and smiled

“I just love you all, and in everything you guys will do, always remember that betrayal is another way of cutting your life span short, do not betray each other because of anything, you were born triplets so you could keep each other’s secrets, don’t ever be the bad egg” Joey said

Delighted that Joey said something reasonable this morning, Jewel hugged him and Love did the same, Pearl hugged him too and Joey smiled, making sure to stroke the hair of all of them

“My precious daughters” he said fondly

“We love your serious side” Love said

“I’ll always love you girls” Joey replied

He later left the house, it’s left for the heavens to decide how he’ll come home that night, maybe drunk or serious

“It was actually Jenna who knocked you out yesterday” Pearl said

” That pr-stitute, I’ll teach her something unforgettable” Jewel replied

” But it was King Kong who sent her” Love added

” Oh, the jerk?, Cool” she said and entered her room, she took her bath fast and dressed up within twenty minutes before coming out

Love and Pearl are already waiting for her, dressed up already too

“Check the school blog” Love said

Curiously, Jewel did and saw an update about the Friday competition

Voting has started but the counts Won’t be revealed till the night of the after party on Friday

“Whatever, I don’t care, if I win, fine….if I don’t, cool” she said and led the way out of the house

Love looked at Pearl, both wondering the cause of her indifference this morning

The Brown’s mansion**

“Don’t touch me” Kingsley said when Veera made to touch his arm

It’s deeply wounded as a result of how he hit it on the ground while saving Jewel earlier and he can’t help but hate himself for doing that

“What happened to your arm?” Veera asked

“It’s all your fault, you made me stay with that witch and I….I….” He said and stopped

“Jewel did this?” Veera asked

“I never said that” he replied , standing up from the couch

” Then?” Veera asked

“I don’t have to tell you everything b*tch” he replied and started walking away

Veera rushed to stay in front of him and he gave her one cold look

“What!” He yelled

“The wound is deep, I’ll disinfect it for you and dress it up” she said at the verge of tears

” I don’t need you” he said and gently pushed her out of the way then started climbing the stairs

She walked to him again and hugged him from behind, she hugged him tightly, not ready to let him go

“Let me go Veera” Kingsley said

She let out her tears and let it w-t his back, crying slowly as she stayed there

“I’m hurt seeing you like this, your wound feels like it’s on me, I love you so much Kingsley and I don’t want to see you hurt, please don’t be mad and just allow me to disinfect it for you, Kingsley you know I love you very much…” She said, crying more

Kingsley felt her warm tears on his back and removed her hand from his tummy then faced her

Her face is full of tears and he can’t help but feel hurt too

“Stop crying” he said, wiping her tears .

“Will you let me treat your wound?” She asked

“Sure, if that will make you stop crying” he said and after wiping all her tears, he k-ssed her forehead

“I love you” Veera said

“I hate you” he replied and hugged her

“Please don’t get hurt again” she said

“Ok boss, I won’t” he smiled.

The Styles mansion**

Jasmine is done preparing for school and is coming downstairs for breakfast when the door opened and Artemis came in

Artemis is his senior brother whom he hates so much

His facial expression changed immediately and as he climbed down the stairs, he won’t stop glaring at him

“No greetings?” Artemis said

Jasmine stopped and without looking back at him, he smiled

“You’re just one f*cking motherf-cker and nothing more!, So stop trying to get on my nerves, you’ve done enough!” Jasmine replied and resumed walking out

” Jasmine you’ve grown wings” Artemis said

“I’m not Jasmine” he replied

” Stop trying to neglect reality, it’s a name you once loved cos she was bearing it too!” Artemis replied

Jasmine folded his fist, walked briskly to Artemis and punched his face, making him bleed blood

“I used to love it but you made me hate it since you showed your real self you selfish bastard!” Jasmine yelled in fury

Artemis wiped his bloody nose and made yo retaliate when their dad came downstairs

“What again?, When are you guys going to behave like brothers” Lewis said

” He’s not…my brother” Jasmine replied and left the house angrily

B-KAY HIGH**

It’s Wednesday so sports activity will be coming up at the gym

Then the voting that is currently taking place in the school blog is making the wh0le school busy

Kingsley didn’t make his entry with the Kings cos he came in last

He entered the class and Jenna waved at him but he ignored her and sat

“Your arm, you’re hurt” Richmond said, observing the bandaged arm

” It’s nothing” Kingsley replied casually

“Seems like everyone except me is sad this morning, Artemis annoyed Jax too” Richmond said

” How was it at the hospital last night?” Jasmine asked

” I don’t want to talk about it” Kingsley replied and stood, leading the way out of the class when it’s time for sports

Jenna held him by the door. “What happened to your arm?, Did that bitch do this to you?” She asked

Kingsley took his hand away from her and gave her a mean look before stepping out of the class.

****

Junior class**

“I did nothing to him, in fact it was more peaceful than I thought except for the patients we woke” Jewel said

Veera squinted lightly. ” Then why is he wounded?, His right arm is greatly wounded”

” Huh?, He’s wounded?” Jewel said

” Yes, a deep wound is on his arm” Veera replied

” Well I’m less concerned, how was it at the hospital with Ronny last night?” Love asked and Veera smiled

“it was great, he treated me like a baby and made sure the doctors gave me special attention apart from the fact that it’s our family hospital* Veera smiled

“How’s your leg doing?” Ronny suddenly asked, coming to their table

Veera smiled and looked back at him. “It’s getting better, thanks for taking me to the hospital” she replied and made to touch his arm but he left before she had the chance

“Only God knows when he’s going to notice my feelings” Veera said

” Soon” Love replied

Veera and Love looked at Jewel and Pearl and wondered the reason for their quietness

“You guys have been quiet” Veera said

“Let’s go do sports” Jewel said, leaving the class with them

They went to the changing room to change to the sports wear first before walking to the gyms together

“I’ll be back, I need to use the restroom” Jewel suddenly said and left the girls

“Is it only me or did anyone else notice she’s behaving strange?” Veera said

” Me too” Love replied

” Maybe mood swings” Pearl said

Instead of going to the restroom, Jewel went to The Kings changing room and stood in front of it, waiting for when Kingsley will come out and luckily he’s the first to come out

He scowled immediately he saw her, he’s already changed into his sports wear and he just looks….hot in everything

“What are you doing here?” He asked

“I’m not happy to be here either but since you got wounded because of me, I just came to check how it’s faring” she replied

” Thanks, but no thanks” Kingsley replied and made to go but she held him and pulled up his right arm sleeves then started loosening the bandage on it

“What are you doing?” Kingsley said when she successfully loosened it and saw the big wound

Her eyes w¡dened. “We should get this treated in the hospital” she said worriedly

He took his arm roughly from her and looked at her hatefully. “I hate when people I hate touch me, don’t ever make the mistake again witch” he said

Jewel smiled before getting serious again

“I hate touching a jerky nuthead too, you got lucky that I’m concerned” she replied, rolling eyes

” You’re just… A public menace” he said

“You’re a complete wipe out” she replied and threw the bandage at him then started leaving but he pulled her back, slammed her back hærdly on the wall then caged her there with his arms, her back hurts as a result

Pearl is just coming into the room but when she saw the scene, she moved back

“Let me go before I do something nasty” Jewel said, shooting Kingsley icy glares but he won’t budge

” What’s happening here?” Richmond said, coming out of the changing room…
