{ His Cinderella }

~ BOUTIQUE ~

“Why are we here Calvin?” Beth asked as they both got out of Calvin car.

“To shop for your dress” he replied heading into the mall but she pulled him back.

“What dress? I don’t need you buying me a dress and besides am not going to Katrina party” she told him hotly.

“Why? Why won’t you go to the party?” He asked.

“Katrina is only up to one of her tricks, she must have invited me to make fun of me just like she did in the past, I don’t want that and…..”

“And you will be going to that party” he said cutting her off.

“Calvin”

“Trust me Beth, no one will make fun of you at tonight’s party. I told you have got a plan right so just do what I say and I will make you a Cinderella tonight” he said which got her chuckling.

“Cinderella is just a fairy tale not reality”

“Really! Then I will make it a reality with you being the Cinderella in it” he said with determination even as he pulled her into the boutique.

~ KATRINA’S HOME ~

“Here I am ” Josephine said breezily even as she walk into the lounge Katrina was.

“Finally, do you know for how long have been waiting?” Katrina asked pulling her towards a table.

“Why did you even ask me to come now when I will be coming for the party in the evening ” Josephine said.

“Stop talking and tell me what you think this is?” Katrina asked showing her a white substance in a white paper bag.

“If am not mistaken, it’s those things people take to get high, why are you with it? Do you intend to use it for some one?” Josephine asked.

“Yes, it’s for Beth” Katrina replied.

“Is she gonna come to the party?” Josephine asked.

“I gave her an invite and so I hope she comes cause tonight party wouldn’t be fun without her” Katrina said.

“So you plan on giving her this drug?”

“Not me, you will be the one doing that” Katrina stated.

“Are you crazy? How do you expect me to give her this drug to use and…..”

“You fool! You aren’t going to give her the drug to use but instead, we pour it in a drink and you give that drink to her. Your job is for you to make sure she drinks it and after then we let the drug do it’s work cause am sure, she will certainly do a lot of crazy things which will make her look stupid in front of every one at tonight’s party. Am counting on you to make this work ” Katrina said to Josephine who nodded in reply.

Dressed in a pink tight fitting gown which clung to her curves perfectly and made her look barbie doll.

Beth got out of the car which brought her from Calvin home.

Standing at the back entrance which led to Katrina home, she read Calvin text again.

★ ONCE YOU GET TO KATRINA’S HOME, TAKE THE BACK ENTRANCE, SINCE YOU WORK THERE IN THE PAST, YOU MUST KNOW WHERE IT IS★

Why would he tell her to take the back entrance and what’s he up to?

Leaving her In the hands of the boutique manager, he had come back home to set his plans to motion.

A plan that she still knows nothing of, she had arrived home only to find out that he left for the party and the chauffeur had arrived to pick her up which got her here.

Letting out a sigh, Beth opened the gate which led to the back entrance and made her way to the party.

~ PARTY ~

“I thought you wouldn’t come” Dexter said to Eric who was sipping his champagne while looking around for some one.

“I didn’t want to come at first but I changed my mind” Eric replied.

He knew Katrina was up to no good and since Beth is invited, she might try to do some thing to harm her.

He needs to be here to protect her this time, Eric thought still watching out for Beth arrival.

“Aren’t you going to join Willow and Josephine?” Dexter asked.

“I can’t be bothered” Eric replied.

“Why? Cause you are waiting for some one and could this some one be Beth?” Dexter said which got Eric starring at him.

“I know you like her, seeing the way you defended her and even left the group because of her, it clearly confirmed my suspicion ” Dexter added sheepishly.

“Have you asked her out?”

“Why do that when she hates me” Eric replied slowly.

“You never bullied her, So why would she hate you?” Dexter asked.

“I never bullied her but I did nothing to help too. So I don’t think I will ever have a chance with her” Eric admitted.

“Don’t give up when you haven’t even tried at all. Go for the girl you love and win her heart before some one else does” Dexter advised and that got Eric starring at Calvin who was talking to some students.

There’s no use cowering behind, he should do what Dexter said and that’s to go for the girl he love.

Josephine was mingling around with the drug drink in hand while searching for Beth when she saw Willow arrive.

Letting out a bright smile at seeing him, she quickly went to him.

“You look dashing tonight” she murmured.

“Did you just notice how dashing I am?” Willow asked in return while he kept looking around for some one.

“If you are looking for Katrina, she’s over there with Jason and…..”

“Am not looking for her, am looking for the girl who will be acting as my fake girlfriend” He replied darkening Josephine mood.

“Did you find some one already?” She asked.

“Yes but I haven’t asked her yet since I didn’t get the chance to but am going to do it…..there she is” Willow said starring at the entrance where Lily was slowly coming in, dressed in a gown Calvin bought for her so she could attend the party.

“See you later” Willow said leaving Josephine to go to Lily.

Josephine watched how he approached Lily and felt heart broken at seeing him choose a different girl when he could have chose her.

Feeling hurt and wanting to get a grip of herself, she put the drugged champagne on the counter and ventured off to the rest room.

The moment Josephine left, Beth arrived stealing the spot light with her barbie doll look.

Cause Beth took the back entrance, she came from the opposite direction which got her in front of every one.

Every one including Calvin stopped what ever thing they were saying to stare at Beth.

“She’s freaking beautiful” Dexter said turning to stare at Eric whose gaze was pinned on Beth.

“Don’t leave her waiting, go to her” Dexter murmured pushing him gently.

Eric took a step towards Beth only to stop when he saw Calvin going to her.

“You look enchanting” Calvin said the moment he got to her.

To be sincere when he had left her at the boutique, he wasn’t expecting this sort of transformation.

She’s very beautiful, he thought still starring at her lovely face.

“Is this the plan you had in mind?” Beth asked shyly starring at the others who were still watching them.

Beth wouldn’t deny that It gave her a feeling of triumph to see Katrina jaw drop at her entrance.

“A grand entrance. Don’t you like it?” Calvin asked.

” I do but I feel……I feel…”

“No one will look down at you, so raise up your chin and make sure you enjoy yourself and if you still feel uneasy, just know that am here for you” Calvin said which got Beth heart doing a flip flop.

If only he knew what chaos his words were doing to her poor heart.

“So can I have this dance miss Cinderella?” Calvin asked making her laugh out loud.

“Stop with the Cinderella thing. Am certainly not a Cinderella” Beth stated.

” But you are and am sure that every other guy here also think the same, so will you have your first dance with me?” He asked bowing gently.

“Sure” Beth replied even as he took her hand and led her to the dance floor where some other guest were already dancing.

“She’s so freaking annoying” Katrina let out softly even as she clung onto Jason arm while glaring at Beth who was having fun dancing with Calvin.

“Am sure Calvin bought her that look” Katrina added expecting Jason to say some thing and when he didn’t say a thing, she stared at him only to see him watching Beth.

“Are you also enchanted by her?” Katrina asked hitting him on the arm while bringing his attention on her.

“Enchanted? Of course not” Jason quickly replied.

“Liar, I know that look. Do you still feel some thing for Beth?” Katrina asked.

“Are we going to start this now” he replied looking frustrated.

“Yes, so tell me if you still feel some thing for…..”

” Just stop it! Have had enough of you and your insecurities. If you can’t trust me then I suggest we end this ” Jason said before pulling away from her

“Jason!” She called but he didn’t come back.

She was still fuming when she saw Beth going to the counter to get some thing to drink.

She and Calvin had ended their dance and feeling flustered by the closeness they shared a while ago, Beth decided to calm her nerve by getting some thing to drink.

She got to the counter to find a glass of champagne there and since there was no server there, she picked it wanting to drink when it was snatched from her.

Katrina took the glass from her and gulp down its content.

“So you did come to my party?” Katrina said acidly.

“Why shouldn’t I? After all you invited me” Beth replied.

“You bitch! You enjoyed stealing the spot light right?”

“I would be lying if I said I didn’t. It was fun” Beth replied annoying Katrina even more.

“I really want to strangle you right now” Katrina said.

“I suggest you don’t do that cause this is your party. You don’t wanna ruin it right? See you later ” Beth said leaving Katrina glaring at her.

“That bitch! Where the hell is Josephine with the drink?” Katrina muttered pulling out her phone to call Josephine.

“Hello” Willow said even as he got to where Lily was seated silently drinking her champagne.

“This is the fifth time you will say that” Lily said starring at him.

“That’s because you didn’t answer me during the four times I greeted you” He replied seating on the empty chair beside her.

“Do I have to?”

“Of course. It will show that you aren’t ignoring me” he replied.

“And what if am really ignoring you?” Lily asked giving him her full attention.

“I would ask you why?”

“You aren’t likeable and I don’t think we will ever be friends since you are my best friend enemy” Lily said.

“If you are talking about Beth then you should know that I have nothing against her and I wasn’t the one who bullied her” he said.

“You didn’t bully her like you said but you never did a thing to help which makes you no different from those who bullied her. Now that you know my opinion of you, I suggest you stay away from me” Lily said getting up to leave but he took hold of her hand.

“That won’t be possible” he replied which got her starring at him.

“What do you mean?”

“I won’t be staying away from you cause I plan on making you my girlfriend” he confessed which got Lily’s jaw opening.

Beth stood alone at the pool side thinking about her encounter with Katrina a while ago.

It felt good putting Katrina in her place, she thought laughing out since there was no one there.

“Having fun?” Jason asked behind her and when she ignored him, he walk the few distance that separate them.

“You look lovely tonight” he said gazing at the pool.

“Thank you and excuse me” Beth replied wanting to leave but he pulled her back.

“What exactly is going on with you and Calvin? Are you sleeping with him?” Jason asked which got her widening her eyes in shock.

“You must be crazy for thinking some thing like that!” She said wanting to pull free but he tightened his hold on her.

“Yes I am crazy cause I wonder why Calvin will spend his money on you if it isn’t that you are sleeping with him” Jason said in anger.

“Not every one is as twisted as you and you should let go of me, you sadist!” She yelled at him.

“Don’t be like the other girls Beth. Don’t sell yourself just to look good in front of everyone, don’t…..” He didn’t get to finish his words because Beth slapped him.

“Am not you Jason, I won’t sell my soul in exchange for money like you did. Stay away from me ” she added and turn to leave only to be stopped by him.

He pulled her to him wanting to kiss her and her attempt to push him away failed, he would have succeeded if Eric hadn’t arrived to pull him away.

“This is none of your….. arrrgh!” Jason yelled when Eric gave him a punch on the face.

“Get lost before I destroy your face!” Eric yelled at him.

“And you should go meet your girlfriend cause she’s causing a scene back at the party” Eric added and that got Jason leaving them alone.

“Are you okay?” Eric asked Beth who nodded in return.

“Thanks for your help” she replied sniffing slowly.

Thank God he had arrived on time to stop that fool from having his way, he thought even as he push back a strand of her hair.

His gesture got Beth starring at him, having her this close made him feel a great urge to hold her in his arms but he couldn’t, She might think he is the same as Jason.

Dexter is right, he is interested in her and so he should do his best in winning her heart.

Seeing her dancing with Calvin a while ago got him feeling jealous, he won’t let Calvin take her away from him.

“How’s Jenny?”

“Great but she asks about you every little chance she gets. You’ve some how become her idol” He replied.

“It feels good to know that some one looks up to me” She said letting out a chuckle which made her face glow some thing which drove Eric crazy.

“Give me your number” he said stretching his phone towards her.

“Uh?” Beth let out with a questioning look on her face.

“Err….Jenny! Jenny told me to get your number so she can talk to you” Eric said quickly thinking of a lie.

“Oh! I don’t have a number”

” Is that a way of saying no?” Eric asked.

“It’s my way of telling you that I don’t have a phone ” Beth replied.

“Really?”

“It’s the truth. I might be attending the same school with rich folks like you but that doesn’t mean am rich. So tell Jenny that I will see her at school ” Beth replied turning to leave when she stop.

“By the way what do you mean by Jason girlfriend causing a scene?” Beth asked.

A while later, Beth stood beside Eric at the party watching Katrina doing crazy things while Jason tried to stop her.

“Is she high on some thing?” Beth asked as a soft smile appeared on her face.

“She definitely is ” Eric replied as they both burst into laughter.
