NORMANI POV
I woke up to an empty bed with Sin out
of sight, I stretched out my limbs.I definitely wasn’t feeling better this morning, I sat up only to feel the familiar feeling of nauseous sitting in. Ugh, I hate morni ng sickness. I got up quickly from the bed, with a hand placed on my mouth, racing to the bathroom.
I spent two minutes in the bathroom, pouring out my guts as I vomited every content in my stomach. I flushed the toilet,
standing up to brush my teeth. I didn’t have much energy to shower so I opted for a bath.
After we both let out our heart yesterday, I feel we have grown even more closer. I was madly and utterly in love with him and even though he hadn’t said it yet, I hope he feels the same.
I wanted to tell him how much I loved him but it was hærd to fight within me not
to spill out the L word yet not to forget
about the baby.
Any time I build up the courage to tell him that I was pregnant, it all goes down
the drain when I stand in front of him. My mouth ends up being glued shut and I find it difficult to say anything. I took off my clothes, stepping into the jacuzzi. I laid down, relaxing my back at the edge as the warm water helped sooth my body. After spending a reasonable amount of time in the bathtub. I stood up with a towel wrapped around my body walking back to the room. I got dressed back in my old clothes since I didn’t have any spare ones.I leave the room I’m search for Sin.
“Good morning amore.” He spoke in his
groggy morning voice.
“Good morning” I whispered, wrapping
my arms around his wa-ist. My cheek pressed to his back while he made us breakfast. The smell of freshly made waffles with bacon Mix along with Sin’s scent of cologne.
I reluctantly let go of him to take a seat
at the stool waiting for him to place the
food on the counter. ” This looks delicious.” I smiled when he placed a plate of waffles and bacon in front me.
” Let’s have breakfast then we leave.” He stated., taking a seat beside me. I nodded my head in response and we were in silence.
We finished our breakfast and I offered
to do the dishes while he bathed. Sin refused at first but later agreed and went back to the room to freshen up. I did the
dishes and tidied up, placing everything
back in their rightful place.
I didn’t have to wait long before Sin walked out, all dressed and ready to go. We walked hand in hand, going outside. I took a few pictures of us as we walked own the part to where the car was parked, getting in and he drove off.
” Samantha and I are going out later” I stated, we both agreed to go to the hospital today to confirm my pregnancy.
He sighed and I thought he was going to refuse but instead he did the opposite. “Okay, I don’t want you copped up being in,side but I don’t plan on letting go alone anytime you want to go out.” He says
sternly but instead I just smiled like a maniac.
The drive to the house wasn’t as long as
when we were going. When we got home, I hurried up the stairs to change out of my yesterday’s clothes into something fresh and clean. I left the room with my phone and bag, texting Samantha to meet me outside.
“Hey Mani.” Samantha said, coming to
stand beside me. She was wearing black jeans with a whit top and a black jacket.
“Hey Sam.”
” How was your one day adventure?” She asks c*ckily.
“It was great. We went Snowboarding before going to a Cabin owned by Sin’s family” I replied, smiling cheekily.
” Looks like someone had fun.” She teased, laughing out loud and I playfully rolled my eyes
“Mateo would be coming with us, how
are we going to convince him not to tell
Sin” I spoke, worried.
“Don’t worry, I already thought of something” I let out a sigh of relief, Sin’s men were loyal to him so they wouldn’t keep a secret. Even how close Mateo and I were, he would never betray Sin. So there
was no doubt that if I go to a gynaecologist Sin would be informed. I really hoped whatever plan Samantha had worked.
“Come on, let’s go, so that we can get there before your appointment time.” Samantha says as the both of us walked to the car. “I already called yesterday to
set an appointment.”
“Thanks Sam, I owe you one.”
“What are friends for?”
I got into the car first and Samantha followed afterwards, she gave our destination and Mateo drove out of the premises to the direction of the mall. The ride wasn’t long because of how free the road was.
We both got down from the car, walking
in,side the mall with Mateo a few steps
away from us. We kept going round the
mall not really buying much, till we got to the baby section and I cast Samantha a look and said what the hell were we doing here. She let out a sheepish smile, discreetly looking behind us to see what Mateo was doing.
“Hey Mani, can we go to the hospital before we go home.” Samantha stated out
loud for Mateo to hear and I got a wing of what she was playing at.
“Why? Are you sick.” I made sure my voice sounded worried
” No, I just need to visit a gynaecologist
for my birth control shot.”
” Oh, okay”
We gathered all the things we bought then went back outside to where the car
was, getting in. Samantha gave the direction of the hospital to Mateo and he drove off. The distance between the mall
and the hospital wasn’t much so we got
there on time
“Can you wait for us in the car, we will be back before you know it” I requested from Mateo when Samantha and I got out of the table.
“I have been ordered to follow you everywhere Mani” He said sternly, not battling eye.
“What could possibly happen to me in a
hospital. Samantha just wants to get her birth control shot.” I said again, giving him my best puppy eyes.
He was reluctant to let us go in alone but later agreed when we promised to caII if something happened or if we found something suspicious.
We walked into the hospital and asked the nurse for an assistant to the gynecologist office and she was kind enough to direct us since the hospital was a big one. We got into the elevator, pressing the third floor as it took us up.
When we got to our designated floor, we met another nurse and she asked us to wait at the sitting area while she confirmed our appointment.
“Dr. Alyse is ready to see you.” The nurse directed us into a cozy office. In front of us stood a mid age woman in a white
doctor’s coat and a reading glass at the
top of her nose.
“Hi I’m Dr Alyse. It’s nice to meet you”
She pulled her hand forward for a hand shake and we gladly accepted it. She waved us to a seat before taking hers opposite from us.
“So, what seems to be the problem.” She asks, my gaze shifted from Samantha
to her.
“Have been feeling quite nauseated recently, constantly vomiting every morning and my body feels weak. I took a pregnancy test and I confirmed I was pregnant. I just want to get confirmation from a doctor.
“Have you and your spouse been using
protection?” She looks straight at me a
nd I blush, shaking my head. ” What you
stated are obvious signs of pregnancy and let’s not forget the result from the test kit. but to be sure, let’s run an urinary test to see if that isn’t the issue.”
She gave me a cup, directing me to the
bathroom. After finishing, I close the lid.
Wash my hands and head back to the doctor’s office.
Dr Alyse and Samantha were still there,
she took the cup from my hand.
“I will be back” Dr Alyse says, excusing
herself for a minute as she walks out of her office. I let out a breath and Samantha held my hand giving me a light squeeze as a source of support. Ensuring me that everything would be okay.
The door opened and Dr Alyse Stepped
In with a file in her hands. She walked in
the opposite direction from us, taking a
seat. She placed the file on the table, adjusting her glasses before picking up the file from the table. She glanced through it then put it back down for the second time.
” Well, it seems the test kit was correct.
Congratulations Miss Mani, from the result it shows that you are eight weeks pregnant.” I gasp asI feel tears run down my eyes, eight weeks. Which meant I was two months pregnant.
“Thank you doctor.” I breathlessly say. Samantha squeezed my hand, she had the biggest grin on her face, just like the day I took the pregnancy test.
“Would you like to go for an ultrasound
to see how the baby is doing?” Dr Alyse
questioned, her hands clapped together
I shook my head refusing her offer and
Samantha sent me a questionable look.
“Don’t you want to know if the baby is okay”
“Of course I want to, but I want to do it
with Sin beside me. I think I’m going to tell him tomorrow” I say smiling at her.
“Good, that’s a nice call. I’m sure he will
be over the moon.” She chuckles.
” Thank you doctor” I say to doctor Alyse
“It’s my job.” She smiles. ” I have given the nurse the required vitamin you need, so take it from her on the way out.”
We stood up, shaking each other’s hand
one last time before Samantha and I left the doctor’s office. We walked to where the nurse was, taking the pills then left the hospital.
Mateo was resting at the hood of the car when we got outside. He opened the back door for us to get, then got into the driver’s seat before driving off.
We made it to the house safely and I was about to get in when Mateo called me
back.
“Mani, can I speak to you for a sec” He
said, stopping me ony track. I gave Samantha the go ahead and turnedd to look at him, ” Yeah”
“You do know you and Samantha are shitty liars. Right.” He raised a brow. ” You guys made it so obvious in the mall”
“Why didn’t you say anything then?” I asked.
“You are like a little sis to me but I don’t
know why you need to lie about your location from Sin when you know he is going to find out eventually” He took a pause. “Why did you need to go to the doctor’s office today?”
I let out a sigh. “I wanted to tell Sin first
before anyone else finds out. I guess there’s no harm knowing “I took out the file, giving it a look.
He looked at me unsure but took it from
my hand, he read through it and his stonic face transformed into a full blown smile
“Congratulations Mani.”
” Thank you.”
“When are you telling Sin?”
“Tomorrow, I want to plan something special for the two of us. But remember
you need to keep it a secret till tomorrow” I warned.
“I will, only on one condition.” He says
with a sly smile.
“What is it?”
“You make me the godfather.” I shaked my head, laughing. Him and Samantha are truly the same.
Finally she want to tell Sin, Hallelujah
