Cyril POV 😜

“Cyril, what’s going on with you ? Jayden said you haven’t eaten for days now. And since I got here,you just laid like a lifeless body, staring blankly.What happened to you?”.

I ignored my mom and continued staring into space. It been two days since the incident,Meryl don’t wanna see me at all.She refused to come out,when I went to her house.

I feel so horrible. Her eyes was full of pain when she saw me with another girl.Disappointment was written in her face. She must hate me so much right now? Will she ever forgive me?

I thought it was an infatuation but it wasn’t. As crazy as it might sound,am really Inlove with her.I love her so much,I’ve realised it already. I think our parents were right when they said,we’re meant for each other.

I don’t want to spend the rest of my life with anybody,unless it Meryl.
Only her.

My Mom got into the bed and cup my cheeks. “Cyril,Am your mother.I carried you in my womb for nine best month of my life and gave birth to you.You’re my everything. I beg of you,just tell me what happened. Seeing you like this makes my heart ache. Please”.

I burst into tears regretting the shit I’ve done and my Mom pulled me into her arms, soothing my hair.

Can’t remember the last time I cried but I’ve been doing that this past few days,it made me realize how much Meryl means to me.

“It okay,Cyril. Am here for you,Tell Mom everything. Am here for you,trust me.Okay?”

I nodded and she unlock from the hug,she held both of my hands.”Tell Mom”.

“I cheated on Meryl”.

“I don’t understand. You said you were not dating her,so what do you mean by that?”.

” Mom,I love her”. I said sincerely.

” Tell me about the cheat aspect”.

“She….she….” .I gulped.

” C’mon Cyril. It Mummy”.

” She caught me with another girl”.

My Mom withdrew her hands from mine immediately.

” Cyril! What the hell are you saying?!”.

“I never meant to do it I swear,I don’t just know what came over me”.

She sighed. ” That was bad. She really saw you?”.

“She saw Everything. I was right on this bed with another girl and she stood by the doorway watching”.

” So so gross… Nevertheless,all you have to do is apologize”.

” She wouldn’t listen,Mom.I hurt her. I saw pains and disappoint in my eyes”.

” You really went far. Why did you cheat on her? Why?”.

” Am sorry”.

” That’s just it. Sorry. This what happens when you can’t control yourself. You’ve gotten in the mess now.Exactly what happened years back,I was already pregnant of you but then your Dad cheated on me with his P.A but the case was different,he was drunk. But I forgave him, assuming I left him then. I should’ve miss my soulmate and having a beautiful son like you”

” I need your help,Mom”.

” What do you want me to do?”.

” You can talk to Alison,please. I really need to talk to Meryl”.

She sighed.

” Mom,please”.

” Fine,go change and let’s leave together”.

” Mom,she don’t wanna see me”

” Just do what I asked you to”

” Okay, let’s just leave then”.

” You wanna go without bathing?”.

” I can’t”

” You need to bath and dress up.You need to charm her with your look”.

” You think it a nice idea if I dress up like nothing happened?”.

” Of course, you’re a man,anyways. And just like you said, you weren’t dating her or were you?”.

” No,we weren’t”

” Good,go bath and look your best while I go wait downstairs. Be fast,okay?”.

” Yes Mom”.

Alison {Meryl’s Mom} POV 🌻

The maid descended the stairs with the tray,she took to Meryl’s place.Surprisingly,it was still filled up, instead of being empty.

“What happened?”. I asked as I stood up from the sofa and approached the maid.

She bowed.” Ma’am Meryl sent me away. Said,she doesn’t wanna see anyone”.

” What’s wrong with that girl?She has locked herself up and haven’t eaten for days. Give me the tray,I’ll take it to her myself”

” Yes Ma’am”

I received the tray and ascend the stairs,once I got to Meryl’s door,I dropped the tray on the floor and gave her door,a light knock.

“Go away! I don’t wanna see anybody!’. She s¢ræmed.

“Baby,it Mom”

“I don’t want to see you too. All of you should stay away from me.Betrayals!”.

” Meryl,it been two days and you haven’t taste anything. You need to talk to me,please”

” And I f×¢king said,go away!”.

I sighed and carried the tray, proceeding downstairs.
“Here,take this to the kitchen”. I said to a maid ,who came out of the kitchen.

” Yes Ma’am”. She collected the tray and I made my way out of the house,to the pool,where my husband was.

He was in the deck, operating his laptop. The maids and guards bowed as they pass. I got to the deck and beckoned the guards to leave us alone.

“Martin”. I called softly after the guards were gone.

“Yes,Ally”. He responded,not talking his eyes from his laptop.

“There’s something you don’t know about your daughter”.

He took his eyes from the laptop and turn to me.” What is that?”.

” Ummm…mm…”. I gulped.

” Talk,Ally”

” Meryl hasn’t eaten for two days now”

” What?”.

I flinched immediately.

” What do you mean by my daughter hasn’t eaten for two days?”.

” Am sorry for not telling you earlier. You were just too busy”.

He stood up,not saying a word and walk out of the deck while I ran after him,so I can caugh up with him.

“Martin,am sorry”

“Sorry for what? The fact that you did not tell me my daughter hasn’t eaten or the fact that you hide it from me?”.

” Sincerely when you got back from Spain yesterday,you were too tired and ….

“And you don’t wanna disturb me ? That’s not excuse,Alison”. He cut me off as he ascend the stairs while I trail behind.

” Angel,Dad is here. Open the door”.

“Go away,Dad. I don’t wanna see any of you”.

” Meryl,it Dad. Come on, open the door and lets talk. I need to know why you’ve refused to eat”.

” Leave me alone!”.

” Angel…”. He called softly.

A stunning silence step in. Almost six minutes and Meryl did not say a word
Just her sniffs were heard.

“You see…..”.

Martin turned to me. “See what?”

“What you made her to be! I warned you back then but you wouldn’t listen. You spoilt Meryl with everything. How can her parents be standing outside her room and she can’t even open the talk,talk more of talking?! No just tell me! It all your fault! I never do that to my late father ,not even Emily. No!”. I yelled angrily.

” Ally,this not the right time to argue ,please”.

” Whatever! Am out of this place!”. I barked angrily before descending the stairs .

What insolence! Martin spoilt Meryl to the fire. Just because she’s an only child.
Nonsense!

“Alison”. A feminine voice called and I look towards the door to see Nancy and her son,Cyril.

“Hey Nancy”.

We hugged briefly and disengage from it.

” Where is Meryl?” Cyril asked.

” She locked herself up since two days now and haven’t eaten. She refuse to see or even talk to anyone either”.

Cyril ruffled his hair.

” Did something happened between you two?”. I arched a brow.

“No. Nothing happened between them”. Nancy ch¡pped in.

Meryl POV 🤪

” Meryl,open the door for Daddy. Come on,Angel. You can always talk to me,Okay? Wait….Is there something you need? A change of closet? A new car?
You wanna travel to New York to see Ruby? Is there something you saw and can’t afford? Angel,talk to Daddy. Come and have my credit card and buy anything you want”.

My Dad kept talking while I just covered my head with a pillow. Don’t they get it? They should leave me alone. I don’t wanna talk to anybody.

“Hello Martin” .

Wait… That’s Nancy’s voice.
I remove the pillow and sat up on the bed.

“Hi Nancy.Cyril,how you doing?”.

What? Cyril,that jerk! He should leave me alone.

” Angel,Cyril is here. Open up”. My Dad cajoled.

“Go away! I don’t want to see an any ugly face!”. I shouted angrily.

” Meryl,you can talk to me please”. Nancy say.

” Just go. I seriously don’t wanna see or talk to anybody”.

Silence followed….
Soon I heard footsteps as it decend the stairs but then someone knock on my door.

“Leave me!”.

The person knocked again. “I said leave me alone..”.

“Meryl ….please”.

I heard that stupid voice. Even though I was filled with rage,my stupid heart was still fluttering.

“Babe…..

” Don’t babe me”.

” It a mistake I regret. Am sorry”.

” Mistake?”

” Yes,i can explain”

” I hate those words”. I barked angrily.

” Meryl… Hear me out,please”.

“Hear you out for what?”.

“We need to talk. I can explain”

” Stop telling me that. I caught you red handed,Cyril. A girl was ontop of you, riding you like her life depended on it. You were both enjoying it, m0×ning crazily”. I whisper yelled as I burst into tears, recalling that ugly scene.

“Am deeply sorry”.

“Just go,even if I forgive you.The question is,Can I forget? I can’t”.

” Go away. Hearing your voice makes me remember how she was calling you baby and riding you”

” It all a mistake. I regret it”.

” We aren’t settling anything. So go home”

The pendulum necklace,my Mom gave to me. I’ve been using that right from childhood. According to history, Grandpa gave it to Dad and Dad have it to Mom then she gave it to me and am planning to give my first child.

I wipe my tears away , scrambling out of the bed and approached the door. I unlock the door and Cyril came in view. Looking charming as ever and even changed his hair colour to green.

I’ve locked myself up for two days and he still have the time for fashion.

“Meryl”. He called softly.

“My Necklace” . I said as I stuck my hand out.

” Meryl,please”

” Just give me my necklace”.

” I can’t “.

” What?”

” Not untill,we make things right”.

I chuckled. “You really have some guts but the good news is,you can have it to yourself. Now leave my Dad’s house”.

” Meryl….”

Without saying anything,I remove my flip-flops and hit him.

” Meryl…”

” If you dont get out of here now,am gonna hit you again”

” Hit me,all you want but am not leaving”

I grab him by the arm and start pulling him downstairs, hitting him with the flip flops.

“Meryl,what are you doing?”. My mom asked, immediately we got to the living room.

I drop my flip flops and fix my feets in it then turn back, ascending the stairs.

“Meryl…”.

“Nobody should follow me,else am gonna push he or she down the stairs ans I mean those words. Don’t dare me!”

With that I continued,almost at the last two steps when my stomach grumbled.
Am famished.

“Bring my food later when this monster leaves”. I shouted, not turning back.

I got to my door, opened and entered. I reach for my towel and went into the bathroom.
