🍕 DIANA 🍕

“So when are you going home? You watching over me is quite akward.” I said and he smiled.

“I will leave when you are discharged. And you have to get used to me being around. I mean no harm, I just want to be friends.” He said and I narrowed my eyes.

“Friends with Isaac and I, or just me?” I asked.

“C’mon Diana. I mean the both of you.” He said and I nodded reluctantly.

“Have you forgotten he is that one time street boy?” I asked and he smiled.

“I can never forget that. But I can deal with that.” He said Smiling and I smiled.

“If you say so.” I said and he smiled holding my hand staring at me.

“I know I have been a jerk, but I promise you that, we would catch whosoever did this to you.” He said and I smiled.

“Thank you Enoch.” I said and the door opened and Isaac walked in. He quickly let go of my hand, and I withdrew it.
“Isaac.” I called as he approached us.

“How are you doing?” He asked ignoring Enoch.

“I am fine. Enoch has been keeping me company.” I said and he looked at Enoch.

“Thanks.” He replied and Enoch nodded.

“Anything for a friend.” He said and I saw anger on Isaac’s face.

“I am finding it ha-rd to trust him Diana.” He said looking at me and I looked at Enoch sighing.

“I know, and it isn’t easy for me too. But at least let’s give him a chance. He is trying to be good to us.” I said and Enoch stood up.

“I should excuse you now.” He said tapping my hand before walking outside.

“Diana you shouldn’t be decieved by his calm face. I just don’t like him around you.” He said and I smiled.

“Don’t tell me you are jealous.” I said and he looked away.

“Isaac come on. You know how much I love you, I can never love Enoch. He is just a friend, and so will it remain.” I said holding his hand and he nodded looking at me.

“Let’s just embr@ce him. He wants to be your friend too. Who knows, we could change his annoying character.” I said.

“If you say so.” He said and I nodded.

“ki-ss me.” I said and he smiled lowering his head to ki-ss me.

“I love you Diana. I love you so much, and nothing can stop me from Loving you.” He said and I smiled holding his head.

“I love you more.” I replied.

“So the doctor said you would be discharged tomorrow.” He said and I felt happy.

“Wow. That’s great news. At least I can leave this boring place, and start delivering pizza.” I said and he shook his head.

“Not so fast. You have to rest for like two days more before going to the shop. And I will help mom at the shop, so don’t worry.” He said and I shook my head.

“No. I can’t stay at home for two more days. I feel like I would grow grey hair soon.” I said pouting my mouth.

“Don’t argue. Mom and I already discussed this. You are staying home for two days.” He said and I made a puppy face.

“You can’t bribe me now. It’s for your own good.” He said ki-ssing my li-ps again. He wanted to withdraw and I pulled him back ki-ssing him dee-ply.

🤩 ENOCH 🤩

I stood at the door and watched them ki-ss. I felt this great jealously in me but I kept it un-der control.

“You nee-d to forget about Diana. She is in love with her soulmate already.” Mother said close to me and I turned to look at her.

“Mother what are you thinking. We are just friends.” I denied walking away.

“You can’t decieve me Enoch. You told me you are in love with her.” Mother said and I sighed.

“I know and I am. But I can’t stop both of them from Loving each other.” I said feeling hurt.

“Enoch, don’t cause any trouble. They are happy. Let it be like that.” She said and I shrugged my shoulders.

“Okay. If you say so.” I said and she shook her head and was about walking away when I stopped her.

“Mother have you found out who is behind the poison?” I asked and she nodded.

“Yes. It’s Klaus. Elijah’s brother.” She said and I furrowed my brows.

“Why would he try to kill Diana?” I asked in confusion.

“I don’t know Enoch. Caroline has the answers.” She said and I smiled.

“Then I will ask her.” I said walking away.

“Isaac is already on it.” She said and I paused.

“If I am the first to find out it’s not bad. At least she is my friend now.” I said and she sighed.

“Enoch.” She called and I walked away quickly before she could say anything again.

💗 CAROLINE 💗

I sat in the hallway all alone. I couldn’t think straight. I nee-ded to find Klaus as soon as possible. Why would he do this to Diana. My only daughter.

“Ma’am Caroline.” I heard someone call and I looked up to see Enoch.

“Hey Enoch.” I said as he sat next to me smiling.

“Ma’am can I ask you something?” He asked and I narrowed my eyes in suspicion.

“Go on.” I said.

“Why is Klaus after Diana’s life?” He asked and I smiled knowing that was what he would want to ask.

“You can tell your mother that I am not ready to have this chat.” I said standing up.

“She didn’t se-nd me Ma’am Caroline. I came here because I cared for Diana.” He said and I smriked.

“You and I know that you have never cared for anyone before.” I said walking away.

I walked back to ward to look at Diana, and I saw Isaac walk out.

Immediately he saw me, I saw his contenance change from the initial one.

“Mrs Caroline, can I please talk to you?” He asked and I sighed knowing he wanted to ask about Klaus.

“Are you here for Klaus too?” I asked.

“Too? Who has come to you before?” He asked with his gaze narrowed.

“Enoch came to ask me about him, but I told him nothing. I don’t trust him.” I said and he sighed.

“That Bastard. Ma’am Caroline please tell me what really happened between you and Klaus. I nee-d to know so as to keep Diana safe. We nee-d to know what to tell the cops.” He said and I nodded.

“I trust you. I will tell you and I hope you get to him on time.” I said and he nodded smiling.

“Sit.” I said and he sat. I sat next to him and then stared into space recalling everything again.

“When Jacob and I had issues, I got married to Elisha. Before we got married, I had the problem of choosing one of the brothers.”

“I knew I loved Elisha, but when he wasn’t around, or we had issues. Klaus was always there to make me happy and by mistake we had a moment.”

“I told him that it was just a mistake, but he never took it that way. He claimed to love me more than his brother Elisha.”

“I opened up to Elisha because I couldn’t afford keeping any secrets from him. Elisha had a fight with his brother Klaus and se-nt him packing.”

“Klaus became angry with the both of us and he promised me one thing. That he was going to take the most precious thing I have in my life away from me.”

“When I and Elisha had a fight, I had always told Klaus how much I loved Diana. Though she wasn’t with me, nor I with Jacob, but I still loved her so much.”

“Do from this, Klaus knew that the most precious thing In my life is Diana.” I narrated before looking at Isaac.

“So if he wants to take Diana from you, why now? I believe that was a long time ago.” He said and I nodded.

“We met recently. He still kept telling me how much he loved me, he didn’t get married because of me. I made him un-derstand that I didn’t feel anything for him anymore. It was then, and I was just naive.”

“He just hurt again, and then made that same statement of taking the most precious thing in my life. I got so scared that I didn’t even invite him to my pa-rty.”

“So he came without invitation?” He asked.

“I don’t know Isaac. I didn’t see him at the pa-rty at all but he is the only one I can think of.” I said and he sighed.

“When was the last time you saw?” He asked

“A day before my birthday. He flew into the town and then I was on my way to work when he saw me.” I said and he nodded.

“Thank you Ma’am Caroline.” He said standing up.

“Hold on Isaac. You can’t use the cops against him.” I said and he arced his brows.

“Why?” He asked.

“You have no evidence. All these are just Stories. They believe they can be said anytime, anywhere.” I said and he nodded.

“Yes that’s true. Do you know where he is now?” He asked and I shook my head.

“No I don’t. But Elisha should know. They are on good terms now.” I said.

“Perfect. Please ask him. I will come back for the feedback.” He said and walked away.

I picked up my phone and dialed Elisha’s number. He picked up on the third ring.

📲Hey baby

📲Hi, how are you?

📲I am good. Still at the hospital though.

📲How is Diana?

📲Good. She would be discharged today.

📲That’s great news.

📲Yes. Elisha I nee-d ask you something.

📲What’s wrong?

📲Nothing. I just nee-d to know if you have seen Klaus anywhere.

📲Klaus? Klaus has been out of the country a day before your birthday.

📲What? He didn’t attend the pa-rty?

📲Not at all. He told me he saw you in your way to work before flying out.

📲Wow. I thought he was at the pa-rty.

📲Of course not. If he was there we would have seen him. What’s going on?

📲Nothing Baby. Just wanted to be sure. I will call you later.
I hung up staring at the screen of my phone.

“If Klaus wasn’t there, then who could have thought of poisoning Diana?” I thought in confusion.
