Chapter 15
XERIS
Literally, boredom can only affect those who let it affect them, what I’m trying to say is that I rolled on my bed scre-ming for no reason. I was bored and couldn’t sleep so I thought “hey, why not make some noise and behave like a fool.” It was the perfect idea, although I did lock the door just in case Xerra or mom decided to chop off my head.
Dizziness couldn’t stop the fun I was having
‘Xeris be quiet!!!!!!!’ Everyone thundered. Why didn’t I even live in my own house….oh yeah, bothering Mr Father was my doctor’s prescription, too bad he was sick.
‘I’m so bored!!!!!’ I shouted back.
‘Xeris!!!! Don’t make me up there!!!!’ Mom shouted angrily.
‘Fine,’ I murmured in defeat. I sighed and itched my head, that moment with Lyra flooding my head, the main reason I couldn’t sleep and the only reason I was scre-ming to occupying my thoughts. ‘I couldn’t even k-ss her.’ I whined. I smiled, pestering her would make me very happy. I stood up, jogged to my door and unlocked it.
Only one person will have her number.
I opened her door without knocking and hopped in.
‘Did you take weed again?’ She asked uninterestedly, not even sparing me a glance. She wore nothing but a black p-nts as she laid on her bed typing on her phone, why do girls like sleeping unclad.
‘I thought I told you I didn’t take it intentionally, your stupid boyfriend and brother tricked me into taking it.’
‘Again, Tan is not my boyfriend.’
‘Again, I don’t care.’
‘What do you want Mr X Junior?’
‘Why are you half unclad Xena grandmother?’
‘If you’d knocked, I wouldn’t be.’
‘What you doing?’ I asked swaying slowly.
‘Leave my room Xeris, I don’t have time to tolerate y….oomph,’ I jumped on her, making sure my weight compress her. ‘Xeris! Your scre-ming madness didn’t satisfy you and now pestering me will?!!!’
‘Should I do that?’ I asked smirkingly.
‘Do what?’
‘Pester you like accused because this is just me playing.’
‘Since when have you played and not trouble?….Xeris please get off me before you flatten my b-obs.’
‘Do have have any to be flattened? Both you and Xerra are walls even though mom is perfect in that angle or rather was perfect before dad s-cked it dry.’
‘Like you didn’t have your share, get off me or I’ll tell Xerra you said she’s as flat as a wall and that’s why her boyfriend don’t like touching her.’
‘Can anyone even touch her without losing their teeth,’ I scoffed. ‘What does Tan even see in you? Anyways, you’re not as flat as Xerra.’
‘I don’t know what you’re talking about but get off me or I’ll scre-m until mom gets here.’ I scre-med into her ear just to annoy her more and got off her laughing. She scre-med and slapped me twice but that didn’t hurt a bit, she wore her shirt back while cursing under her breath.
‘What are you saying?’ I asked poking her.
‘I hate you.’
‘Are you in love with Tan?’
‘What kind of stupid question is that? Tan is my very best friend, not….why am I even answering you!’ Poor Tan, loving a stone. ‘Can you tell me what you want this time so I can get rid of you?’
‘Why would you think I want anything from you?’ I asked innocently.
‘Do you want Lyra’s phone number or not?’ She snapped.
‘Give it to me and I won’t pester you for a month.’
‘Really?!’ She squealed excitedly, I snorted.
‘A month is too long, one week.’ She sighed sadly.
‘I guess one week of peace is okay is what I would say if Xeron didn’t exist. Why won’t you both just leave me alone!’
‘Why do you like Lyra’s dad instead of a boy your age?’
‘Why do I need a boy my age? I’m good as it is.’
‘He’s old.’
‘He’s just a good version of smoking hot dad and you know I will never go for him, he’s my best friend’s dad.’
‘You know you have a problem, always crushing on old dudes.’
‘No I don’t,’ she said calmly going through her contact.
‘Oh yeah? You’re crushing on dad, his best friend who happens to be your boyfriend’s father, dad’s frenemy….what’s that his name again? Xerra’s boyfriend’s father…yes! Sebastian. That Mr Raj dude, your science teacher back in high school, Mr Hawkins…..’
‘Okay I get it, just go to your room and I’ll send you her number, please.’ She pleaded.
‘Fall in love with Tan, isn’t he handsome?’
‘What’s with you and love Tan? I said get lost!’
‘Suit yourself but he would have been better in bed than all your exes…..you don’t even have any, just sleep with random stars, have anyone ever told you not dating any guy but sleeping with them is bad and slutty?’
‘Speak for yourself birdbrain.’ I stood up and walked to the door. ‘And for the millionth time! Elvis is the only guy I’ve slept with and that was because I was drunk. Do you see me as someone who cares about boys and s€×?!’
‘Yet you let that idiot be your first, why not T…..’
‘Don’t you dare say it, leave.’ I chuckled and walked out of her room. She’ll pour something that would make me stool in my breakfast beverage. I’ll switch it with Xeron.
I so much appreciate my generosity and willingness to share.
‘Xerra, what are you doing on my room?’ I asked frowningly after walking into my room and unfortunately seeing her there.
‘I couldn’t sleep because you were scre-ming so I came here to break your head with that hammer,’ she pointed to the hammer on my bed. ‘But when I came, you weren’t here so I decided to ruin your life by uploading pics of you unclad online with your own phone.’
‘Really?’
‘Do you want mom to kill me? Of course not. Just using your data to download songs.’ Suspicious, Xerra is not nice. I sat on the bed beside her and stroke her hair.
‘Wanna tell me what’s wrong?’ I asked softly.
‘I’m fine, why do you think anything is wrong with me?’
‘Easy, you’re not yelling or trying to kill me and you’re nice.’
‘What niceness have I shown?’
‘Not actually smashing my head with that hammer, that’s so unxerra like.’ I said jokingly, she laughed and sat up.
‘Fine, you’ve got me,’ she bit her lip sadly. ‘Sean broke up with me this morning.’
‘Why?’
‘Because I’m Xerra,’ she fell flat on the bed. ‘I don’t know how to show emotions, I don’t even know how to act like a real girlfriend. When we were just friends, things weren’t that complicated but now we’re dating, he just expects me to improve, to make him happy and do things girlfriends do…isn’t that ridiculous!’
‘Well, you got dumped, how ridiculous does it sound now?’ She sniffed.
‘It’s not my fault I’m like this, what am I suppose to do now, I don’t want to let him go.’ She buried her face in the sheet.
‘Are you crying?’
‘I don’t cry, remember?’
‘Xerra, the one thing I learnt even as me is that I might be hærdcore but I’m still human, I still have a heart. You don’t always have to act strong to prove you’re strong, even the strongest man has a weak period. Sean loves you a lot, despite your bad attitude and coldness but you’re getting worst. What guy will date a girl for three years, barely k-ss her, can’t touch her either nor can he cheat or stand the cost of losing his life. The dude’s not a log of wood like you or Xena, you ruined things yourself.’
‘Are you suppose to be making me feel better or increasing everything? You’re worst than mom, she said the same thing but without the insult. What am I suppose to do? k-ssing is hærd let alone s€×….’
‘Then why did you accept to date him when he confessed his feelings to you?’ Because you liked him and didn’t want to hurt his feelings, you just did.’
‘Xeris, you’re a guy, help me out here.’
‘You know what you have to do Xerra, try to be a girl who is in love with the guy who loves her and will do anything to keep him and not be Xerra Xander.’
‘Whatever, I’ll think about it.’ She stood up. ‘Pretend I didn’t tell you anything, it makes me feel like I love you.’ I smirked, she smiled and left my room.
We’ll go back to arguing at dawn.
I took my phone and checked the message Xena sent, I quickly saved her number and fortunately, she was on WhatsApp and online. Her dad coming out of a swimming pool shirtless was her profile picture, was she trying to pop someone’s eye out?
Me: big head.
I sent her immediately. I hit my head for ten minutes before she replied.
Her: how did you get my number?
Me: wouldn’t it be weird if I don’t have my girlfriend’s number?
Her: that’s not the answer to the question I asked but never mind, you just ruined my night.
Me: oh come on, you know my s€×y face will only make you sleep well.
Her: ever heard of nightmares?
Me: no, is that something you made up?
Her: so funny I forgot to laugh.
Me: what are you doing?
Her: how is it your business?
Me: babe, I’m bored.
Her: and how is that my business?
Me: truth or dare?
Her: Xeris go to bed, please.
Me: what’s your favorite s€× position? I need to know for future use.
Her: you will never give up.
Me: not until I get an answer.
Her: you on the bed, my foot pinning you down and a hammer smashing your skull.
Me: that’s sound sweet, should we try it?
Her: oh brother.
Me: what’s your favorite k-ss style? Colour? Favorite everything? Do you love music? Where have you always wish to go? Are you cuter than me? Where do you want us to have our first s€×? Why is the sky blue?
Her: I knew it! I knew you forgot your brain somewhere or you weren’t even born with one.
Me: pleaseeeeeee, I’m your boyfriend.
Her: you irritate me.
Me: I will send you a record of Xena singing with mom if you don’t reply and I will also send you my nude pictures and…..er….I’ll tell Xeron to hug you.
Her: do I care?
Me: let me rephrase that, I’ll tell sweaty Xeron to hug you.
Her: not a reasonable threat but whatever. The answers to your questions are; none of your business, none of your business, go to hell, f-ck a wall, die and get lost.
Me: tch, lame.
Her: you wanna know what’s lamer? Hold on.
She went off line for seven minutes and sent me some photos.
Her: have a wonderful night.
I curiously tapped all the pictures only for me to the greeted by different nude pictures that would keep me up all night.
‘Curse you Lyra!’
