Despite the heat going on around Marida, Things has been quite good for me lately, especially in the rom-nce side, My relationsh¡p with Jasmine had taken off smoothly… At first, I never knew things would work out like this but I’m glad it did.
Before, Jasmine in my view was nothing but a stubborn and disrespectful lady but I was wrong appearances are deceiving.. She’s a sweet and understanding girl, unlike most ladies I know she’s quite literate and sure knows all about herbs, plants and medicine.
The people of Nishkapur are known because of their medicine, which is very effective and helpful…. Sometimes she would teach me about some plants and their uses, I wasn’t really paying attention though cause I was just staring at her.
But as we got more bonded and closer I began to realize some things especially her traits and manners, it was like she was bought up by some rich family in Nishkapur cause it was similar to those wealthy women of high social class, everything about her showed that she was from a place of higher standards , I began to think about what she told me earlier about her being a princess… I couldn’t risk letting her go not because I want to keep her but for the dangers along the way, like those monsters we encountered..
So I decided to send some messengers to Nishkapur to confirm, if there was any missing princess with the name of Jasmine.
Frahan my closest friend, I noticed my moods as of late and decided to ask what was going on with me.. I didn’t hesistate to tell him everything about Jasmine… He was excited that I am in a relationsh¡p.

As Frahan and I were talking, Some royal guards came towards us with shields and swords in hand, Frahan was frightened, He quickly moved behind me, I however waited to see what would happen. As the royal guards approached us, They surrounded us pointing the swords at us. The head of the royal guards came forward and stated his mission.

Sadiq ➡ Yes… What is it?

Head RG ➡ Your presence is required immediately at the palace..

Here in,side the palace of Marida, there’s an intense argument going on between Sadiq and the council about the murder of Sufyan, Both Queen Saudat and Aisha and their sons are present at the scene watching as Sadiq tries to talks his way of the unfortunate predicament… The Sultan, sits on his on chair, listening and watching with close attention.

Sadiq ➡ For the last time, I told you, I am innocent! Why would I kill Sufyan? I have no quarrel with him.

Abdul ➡ Liar! We have witnesses who claim to have see you at the scene when Sufyan was murdered. They’ve even told us some interesting stuffs as well.

Sadiq ➡ Well, let’s see them! Let’s see the witnesses.

Abdul ➡ By all means…… Send them in…

Everyone waits patiently to see who these witnesses are, to Sadiq’s surprise, he sees the servants of Sufyan, standing before everyone, Sadness is written all over their places.

Abdul ➡ Do you know these slaves My prince?

Abdul ➡ Everyone you’ve heard what the witnesses said…. This is what I call *concrete evidence * this slaves would have no other reason to lie…

Sadiq ➡ I disagree…. Sufyan and I only talked about how we’re going to help the masses of Marida… Everyone knows I don’t want the throne… That’s why I joined the army… This slaves might have been bribed or forced to say this… Sufyan isn’t the kind of man you meet to seize a throne.. He’s nothing but a debt collector, a man like that had no place among the rich and powerful.

Some guards are sent to go and bring Jasmine and shortly later, she was bought before everyone. The young lady stares at everyone especially Sadiq wondering what was going on.. She stands before everyone as she’s being interrogated by Abdul.

Abdul slumps back to his seat anger, as he sees Sadiq smirking 😏 at him. After the Sultan spoke his mind about the case.

Sul. Mustapha ➡ Well, this was quite shocking, from what I can say Sufyan’s murderer is yet to be found but nevertheless the case presented haven’t shown any thing that my son is the killer of Sufyan, a bunch of witness and a cloak doesn’t prove anything… The witnesses could have been forced, after all they’re slaves… And as for the cloak it could have been stolen by the killer to make Sadiq take the fall… And as the young ladies statement… I can attest to that, I saw both of them leave on a horse back last night… They couldn’t have possibly gone to Sufyan’s house together unless the slaves want to tell me that they saw Jasmine as well….. Well does anyone have anything to say about this?

The slaves kept quiet, Abdul sat transfixed in his seat, he knew that with the testimony that the Sultan, this case was closed, objections would be totally useless at this point, so he and his fellow council men kept their mouths shut.

Sul. Mustapha ➡ Well, since there is no objections about this, I believe this case is over..

Later in,side Queen Aisha’s room, Abdul curses and rants on and on about the case.

Abdul ➡ D–n! We had him… We did… gods… Why? This wasn’t supposed to happen.

In that moment, Karim and Saudat walk in the room, they too are displeased with how things turned out.
