Have you ever heard of M&M academy in Washington DC?

It’s a school for the rich, A school which is well equip and furnished with every student needs, A school whose reputation alone can give you easy tickets at things once you graduate, A school which to the poor is hard to get into but to the rich a piece of cake.

Our female lead, Chloe Winter falls into the poor category.

Studying at M&M academy have always been her dream, At least if she gets to study there then she won’t be look down on as a poor orphan who will never make it in life.

But all her attempts to get into the school have been fruitless until luck decided to shine upon her in a crazy way and that’s due to her first visit to M&M academy.

Chloe was mistaken for one of the students in the school.

Apparently the student had had a fight with her parent which led to her leaving home and disappearing for two months and on seeing Chloe, they mistook her for the missing girl.

And although Chloe tried to tell them the truth, she wasn’t given the chance and so she decided to pretend to be their missing daughter and thanks to that, she was able to get into the school of her dreams.

But what Chloe didn’t expect is to get entangled with the two most popular boys in M&M Academy.

One turns out to be crazy while the other is a cold jerk.

How will Chloe handle this two guys whom barged their way into her life or is it the reversal.

Mistake In Identity

PLANE

Chloe Winters sat in between an elderly man and a bulky man in his mid thirties and while the men felt uncomfortable sharing a tight seat in the commercial class of the plane, Chloe sat with ease silently counting the moment when they will get to Washington DC.

And maybe it’s due to her cheerful personality at that moment that led to the bulky man talking to her.

“First time in DC right?” He asked and she nodded.

“A new life or some thing?” He enquired again.

“You could say a new life, have you heard of M&M academy?” She asked.

“Have heard of that school all my life, it’s the most wealthiest school here in DC and….are you perhaps getting into it?” The man asked starring at her doubtfully.

After all M&M academy is known to being a school for the rich and if she is rich, she wouldn’t be in a commercial lounge but rather in the VIP Lounge.

“Yes, well no. Am still working on it but I came here to make it a reality” Chloe said brightfully while the man shook his head slightly.

“Must it really be M&M academy? ” The man asked.

“It must! It’s the school of my dreams after all” Chloe declared.

“I hope you get accepted then” he replied sighing slowly.

“I know what you are thinking and I know that there’s a probability that I might never get to study there but there’s no harm in trying” she stated while he nodded with out saying a word.

People she knew always react like that whenever she told them about studying in M&M academy.

Cause apart from M&M being the best school in the whole of Washington DC, it’s also a school for the rich which is what Chloe isn’t but there’s some thing they call a scholarship and that’s what she’s been working on for the past few weeks now but it keeps on getting rejected.

And that’s why she has decided to come to DC to write the scholarship exam again and see how it goes.

The thought of being a student there was running through Chloe head even as she left Washington airport and straight to the bus station.

Wanting to take a sneak peek at her dream school, Chloe chose to go to M&M academy instead of going to look for a place to stay.

A while later with her back pack on, she stood in front of M&M academy starring at the big black gate.

All she’s ever seen about her dream school is the pamphlets and seeing it face to face got her feeling giddy and excited.

“Am I really here?” She murmured in disbelief and excitement.

Not being able to control her happiness, she began spinning around while laughing like a maniac, it caught the attention of some passerby but they ignored her while she did the same to them.

“Thank God I came” she murmured again.

“Yes, thank God you came!” A male voice suddenly said behind her which got her turning immediately.

She saw three men dressed in black glaring at her.

“Who are….” She didn’t get to complete her sentence cause the two other guards grabbed her.

“Oh! What are you doing!” She yelled.

“Taking you home of course, you’ve been gone for two months, playing hide and seek and it’s time you go back home” The guard who had spoken earlier said again which got her feeling confused.

“I think you’ve mistaken me for some one else cause…..am not getting into the car!” She yelled suddenly when they push her towards the black range rover which they had alighted from.

“You have no choice, we’ve been given strict orders to bring you home” the Guard said even as they push the stubborn Chloe into the car.

“This is kidnapping! You wait until I get out of here, I will report you and this lackey of yours to the cops!” She threatened.

“You are free to” he replied not feeling scared at all which got Chloe wondering if this is the end for her.

She has often heard of women trafficking but have never thought it would happen to her and that is happening right now.

Silently she began saying the Lord’s prayer hoping she would be spared and let go.

Her eyes were shut while she said her prayer but when the car stopped, she open an eye and saw that they were in a mansion instead of a dirt poor room where she’s often watch the traffick women being kept in the movies.

“Where are we?” She asked as they pulled her out of the car and for a while Chloe was lost in the beauty of the surrounding.

“Where else? If it’s isn’t your home” the guard replied and that got her starring at him.

“My home? This is all a mistake and……”

“Take her in” the man ordered even as one of the guard hoisted her into his arms.

She could hear voices coming from a room even as the guard carried her up the stairs.

He got into a room and deposited her on the bed before walking out shutting the door before Chloe could follow.

What the hell is happening? She thought starring around her just as she heard a knock.

A middle age looking lady came into the room carrying a cup of coffee.

“We are so glad you are back Miss” the lady said even as she set the tray down.

“Look I think there….Arrrgh!” She yelled suddenly which startled the woman.

“What is it?”

“Th…tha….that!” Chloe stuttered even as she stared at a large portrait which is on the wall.

A portrait which had the picture of a girl, a girl who looks exactly just like her.

“Who is she?” Chloe asked pointing at the picture.

“Who else if it isn’t you!” The lady replied which got Chloe starring at her.

“I….I think you’ve misunderstood things, am not the girl in the picture, I am…..” She stop talking when the door open and another middle age lady who looked frail and pale in complexion walk into the room.

On seeing her the lady who had brought the coffee move away, bowing slightly.

“Leave us Carmen” the frail looking lady ordered which got Carmen leaving the room.

“You sure are one wicked girl” the lady said glaring at her making Chole gulp down an imaginary spit.

“I…I….don’t….” Once again she was cut off from completing her sentence cause the frail lady walk towards her, pulling Chole into her arms.

“You wicked child! How could you leave your mother alone? How could you have left for two months without even trying to contact me? How could you?” The lady said crying in Chloe arms.

Though it was hard for Chloe to comprehend what was happening, she found herself comforting the woman who claim to be her mom.

A while later when she stopped crying, they both sat on the bed while she fussed over Chloe.

“You look a bit thinner, haven’t you been eating? ”

“I have” Chloe replied forcing a fake smile.

“You have no idea how scared and hurt I felt when I read your letter and all my attempt to find you were useless,it’s like you disappeared from the face of earth, I was even tempted into visiting some of the hospital morgue” she confided wiping her tears.

Chloe felt sad seeing the lady cry, she’s got a weak spot for people who cry no matter what gender they are.

It made her think of the lady’s daughter as an ingrate, how could she leave her mom in this state? Chloe thought.

Well, she’s comforted the lady enough and so it’s time for her to drop the bomb and then leave.

“You see” she began slowly even as the lady stared at her.

“Am not your daughter, am Chloe Winters and this is my first time in Washington DC” she admitted.

“Really? You are Chloe and not my daughter?” The lady asked while Chloe nodded in reply.

“My God! ” The lady exclaimed even as she got off the bed.

“If you aren’t my daughter then where is she?” The lady asked.

“That’s for you to find out cause am definitely not your child” Chloe said again.

“So you are not my child?” The lady gasp out in shock while Chole nodded again.

“You are not my child and you expect me to believe that!” She yelled suddenly frightening Chloe.

“Anyone out there!” She barked and immediately a maid came into the room.

“Call doctor Larry, I think my daughter has lose a screw” she said glaring at Chloe who couldn’t help but to think that she’s in one hell of soup.

A WHILE LATER

“Do you think it’s Amnesia?” Brenda Willow asked doctor Larry who kept starring at Chloe.

“Probably. If she’s claiming not to be your daughter then she must be suffering from memory loss, do you remember being hospitalized some where?” Doctor Larry asked her.

“I don’t remember being hospitalized cause I was never in an hospital” Chloe stated already getting fed up of explaining to them.

“I will prescribe some drugs to her cause just like you think, she must be suffering from Amnesia” the doctor told Brenda.

“Do what you can, I don’t care about the cost just help my daughter regain her memory” Brenda said even as she escort Larry out of the room.

Chloe sat still on the bed letting out a sigh while wondering how things got this far.

Due to her trying to get them to believe that she’s not who they claim her to be, she’s been having a headache and all she wants is to sleep which is why when Carmen brought her a drug to use, she used it immediately and doze off.

NEXT DAY

Chloe woke up with a start when she heard some one foot step in the room and for a while she thought she was back in Kentucky and in her old room in the hostel where she used to live but Carmen voice made her aware that she’s still In Washington DC.

“If you are up Miss, I suggest you go and get ready for school” Carmen told her and it was on Chloe lips to tell her that she isn’t going when she notice the purple and black uniform on the sofa.

“Is that really a M&M uniform?” Chloe asked even as she went towards it.

“It is, your uniform to be precise. Your mom made some altercation but I do believe that it will be a perfect size for you” Carmen informed.

Feeling too excited by the prospect of going to M&M, Chloe dashed off to the bathroom where she quickly got ready for school.

Fully dressed in her purple and black attire, she stood in front of the huge mirror starring at herself, when the thought of the real daughter of the house came to haunt her.

What exactly happened to her? Why would she leave her mom when it’s obvious that her mom cares about her, Chloe thought remembering last night.

She had woken during the night to see Brenda sleeping on the sofa in her room obviously wanting to take care of the girl who she believes to be her daughter.

“Am not you, though I wonder why we both have the same face” Chloe murmured, picking up another frame which had the girl picture in it.

It was then she noticed a book behind some pile of other books.

She pulled it out and read what was written on the first page.

Valerie, that’s the name of their daughter, Chloe thought wanting to turn to another page but Carmen chose that moment to come in and quickly, she put the book into her bag and left the room with her.

A while later the guard who had drove her to school halted in the parking lot where other students were alighting from their car.

“Thank you ” Chloe said cheerfully to the driver who stared at her In surprise since the real Valerie never thanked him each time he brought her to school.

She was so caught up with starring at M&M surrounding that she didn’t notice some of the students watching her and when she finally did, she stared back at them not for once flinching at the look they gave her.

She took the stairs that led to the building which had everyone classes in it.

If she goes in there pretending to be Valerie then it would be hard for her getting her life back, is she really doing the right thing?

She might be so much tempted now because of her dream school but it’s wrong for her to live as someone else.

So instead of going in, Chloe turn to leave only for her to stop when she heard some girls screaming.

And it was all due to the arrival of a male student who Chloe couldn’t deny looks hot.

He had a mischievous smirk on his face even as he chew a gum but as soon as his gaze landed on her amidst the crowd. Recognition dawn in his eyes and slowly he made his way to her.

“Can’t believe you are back” he said still chewing on the gum and to Chloe surprise he spilled out the gum while some of the female students fought on who to throw it away.

Chloe was still starring at the female students who were going crazy over his gum when he said.

“Are you perhaps back to pay me what you owe?” He asked.

“What I owe….” The confused Chloe let her sentence trail off expecting him to fill it which he did.

“Have you forgotten the kiss you stole from me two months ago” he said which got her eyes widening in shock.

She was saved from giving a reply when a white Lamborghini drove in and once again the female students rush over to the car screaming their lungs out.

A male student got out of the car and no one had to tell Chloe that he is also someone important just as the guy standing beside her is.

“There he goes big again” she heard the gum guy say beside her before her gaze went back to the student who just arrived and to Chloe surprise, he was heading towards them.

“I was surprise when I saw your pictures trending on the school platform and it turns out that you’ve really come back” he said now standing beside her.

“It’s a good thing you are back cause you and I have got a lot of things to talk about” he said taking hold of Chloe’s hand intent on pulling her away but the gum guy held her other hand preventing her from leaving.

“You can’t take her away, I got here first and I was talking to her before you arrived, Leo” the gum guy said calling the other guy by his name.

“Oh really! Sorry, though I can’t comply with that cause after all am her fiance and have got more right over her, Bryan” Leo said tightening his hold on Chloe hand just as Bryan did the same.

And Chloe whose hand was being pulled couldn’t feel the pain cause her mind was on some thing else entirely.

On her right stood the guy who claimed to have shared a kiss with her while on her left stood the guy who is claiming to be her fiance.

Just what did she get herself into…….
