KARAOKE

“I think we should go join the others ” Chloe said pulling away from Bryan who grumbled out loud.

“I wanna keep kissing you” he whispered into her ear making her laugh out.

“No! The others are here and we’ve got to go to them” she replied moving away when he tried to kiss her.

They got back to their booth only to see Pearl yelling at David.

“You shouldn’t have done that!” Pearl said with so much anger.

“It was the only way I could think of and….”

“And you are nothing but a jerk who toys with my feeling” Pearl completed before walking past Chloe and Bryan.

“What’s going on?” Chloe asked worriedly.

“Its nothing” David replied going after Pearl.

Chloe and Bryan shrugged at each other and when they were about to go in, Judy came out having a startled look on her face.

“Are you okay?” Chloe asked on seeing the paleness on Judy face.

“I am, have got to go. See you both at school tomorrow” Judy said rushing off and the door opened revealing Luke who had the same look Judy had on a while ago.

“Did you see Judy?” He asked.

“She just left a while ago” Bryan replied and immediately Luke went after her.

“What’s up with your friends and my friends?” Chloe asked.

“I think that they are also like me” Bryan replied.

“Like you?” Chloe asked in confusion.

“Head over heels” he replied which got her smiling.

“Let me take you home, Karaoke is over” he added while she willingly went with him.

VALERIE’S HOME

As soon as he stop in front of the mansion, Bryan instructed her not to get off.

He got out of the car and went to open her door.

“You didn’t have to” Chloe said blushing a little while trying to unlock the seat belt.

“Let me” Bryan offered as he move towards her swiftly unlocking the belt.

She tried to seat up only to find herself trapped beneath him.

“Bryan” she called when he still won’t move away.

“I love you” he told her softly.

“And I love you too” Chloe replied more shyly.

Enchanted with every thing about her, Bryan couldn’t hold back and kissed her once again.

The kiss kept going for a while until they heard a dog barking a distance away.

“Have got to go now” Chloe murmured her lips still tingling from his kiss.

“I really don’t want you to go, should I just kidnap you?” He suggested naughtily.

“Stop messing around and go home. We will see each other at school tomorrow” She said getting out of the car gently.

“Fine then. I will hold onto that thought until we see each other tomorrow” he said giving her a kiss on the fore head before they both went to their respective home.

TORRES MANSION

Bryan was whistling to himself as he got home, he went in feeling giddy and excited but when he pass by his father study, the happiness he felt turn into one of anger.

Cause there was Leo in the study discussing his engagement Valerie.

“So you want to push forward the engagement party?” Jeremy Torres asked Leo who nodded in reply.

“Yes. I want my ring to be on her finger as soon as possible” Leo replied and on hearing that Bryan tightened his fist in anger.

“Why this sudden rush?” Jeremy asked and Bryan chose that moment to walk in.

“That’s because Leo is a selfish jerk” Bryan replied as he barge into the room startling his father and Leo.

“And who told you to come into my study?” Jeremy yelled at Bryan.

“Am sorry dad but after listening in on your conversation, I couldn’t stand behind close doors with out doing a thing” Bryan replied glaring at Leo who was also glaring at him in return.

“And what do you intend to do? ” Leo asked.

“To stop this engagement from happening. Dad, you shouldn’t proceed with this engagement” Bryan stated.

“Why?”

“Leo doesn’t love her and she doesn’t feel the same way. It isn’t a love match, it’s going to be a disaster ” Bryan gave his reason.

“Not all marriage is base on love, Bryan. Some are base on interest and business and Leo engagement is base on one of those. So your reason to stop this engagement from happening is pointless” Jeremy replied.

“Then how about this…. Valerie and I are both in love and we are dating. Is it still pointless?” Bryan asked starring at his father and brother.

“What?”

“You heard me dad! I love Valerie and she loves me, I won’t sit back and watch you marry her off to Leo who doesn’t feel a thing for her” he confessed.

“You are at it again! Amongst the billions girls in the city, you just had to seduce your brother’s fiancee” Jeremy yelled at him.

“I didn’t seduce her, we simply fell….”

“Get out! Get out of here before I do some thing we will both regret!” He said moving towards Bryan but Leo stopped him.

“Leave Bryan! Don’t make things worse” Leo said holding onto their father.

“I won’t let you marry her off to Leo, I just won’t!” Bryan stated firmly before dashing out of the room.

NEXT DAY ~ VALERIE’S HOME

Chloe was putting on her shoes when the door open to reveal a maid.

“Some one is waiting for you down stairs” the maid said.

“Who?”

“Well it’s Mr Torres, he says he going to take you to school” the maid replied.

Did Bryan miss her so much that he came to take her to school? She thought as she quickly pick up her bag, dashing out of the room in excitement.

Due to the tinted glass, she couldn’t see who was in the car and it wasn’t until she was in the car that she realise that the person who came for her isn’t Bryan.

“What are you doing here?” Chloe asked.

“Start driving” Leo said to the chauffeur who drove off making it impossible for Chloe to get out of the car.

“What are you doing?” Chloe asked.

“So you are dating Bryan ” he said in return and Chloe would swear that she saw a bit of pain in his eyes before he masked it.

“I am and you should be happy. I finally have some one else to give my heart to and so you are free to….” She stop when he hit his hand on the door startling her.

“You are right! I should be happy but am not. You claim you love me and yet you went to my brother, why? To get back at me?” Leo asked.

“Am not as heartless as you, Leo” she said which got him smiling in anger.

“Mind explaining that?”

“You discarded my feelings for you and now that am happy with Bryan, you want me back? That’s some thing a heartless person would do. You’ve hurt me enough and it’s only right that you let me be now that am happy with Bryan” she replied.

“Am not the heartless one, Bryan is the heartless one!” Leo yelled at her.

“Bryan isn’t heartless and he….”

“He is! Bryan is heartless and the reason why I say that is because of Cathy ” Leo replied.

“What does Cathy have to do with this?” Chloe asked.

“The fact that he loves Cathy is the issue here, he still loves her and yet he’s fooling around with you” Leo replied.

“That’s a lie. Bryan loves me and I don’t care about this so called Cathy or…..”

“You should care about her cause she’s coming back and will definitely want her place back in Bryan life. She left him shattering his heart and she has a reason for it, a reason am sure that Bryan would understand and forgive her since he loves her” Leo said cutting her off abruptly.

“I don’t want to listen to this any more, so stop the car” she said trying to open the door.

“The driver will take us to school and it’s best that I tell you this than you to find out later, Bryan isn’t the guy for you. He’s only going to hurt you” Leo said and Chloe didn’t give him a reply in return.

All through the ride to school, she kept thinking about the things he told her.

When the driver finally stop the car, she got out of it, wanting to leave quickly but Leo caught hold of her hand and pulled her towards him.

Chloe staggered straight into his arms and using the opportunity of having her in his arms, He kissed her causing reactions from the students who were around.

Bryan who stood a distant away also saw the scene which made him angry.

“What are you doing?” Chloe ask pushing out of Leo arms.

“Kissing my fiancee ” Leo replied with a mischievous smile on his face.

“You really are a jerk!” She said turning to leave only to see Bryan approaching them.

“Bryan I….”

“Let’s go” Bryan said cutting her off abruptly.

Taking hold of her hand, he pulled her away from the vicinity while Leo stood watching them go with so much anger.

“Bryan, you are hurting me” she said wanting him to let her go but he ignored her, holding onto her hand tightly.

It wasn’t until they got to the roof top that he let her go.

“What was that all about?” Bryan asked still feeling angry.

“It’s nothing, you shouldn’t concern yourself with it” Chloe replied.

“I shouldn’t concern myself with it! For crying out loud, Leo kissed you” Bryan pointed out.

“That’s because he took me off guard. He had pulled me back and I…..it’s all a misunderstanding” She replied letting out a sigh.

“It isn’t a misunderstanding. It’s part of Leo trick. A trick you fell for Like a fool” Bryan said sounding insulting and that got Chloe angry too.

“Am not a fool! I thought you were the one who came to pick me this morning and so I got into the car only to realize that it isn’t you”

“You should have left the car when you knew that it isn’t me! You should have fled instead of him giving you a ride and kissing you. Am trying to look for ways to end the engagement between you two, do I have to also find a way to make you stay away from Leo” he yelled at her.

“You don’t have to! I can take care of myself and….”

“You definitely can’t cause if you can, you wouldn’t let Leo close to you!” Bryan snapped at her.

“That’s enough Bryan! It’s not my doing that Leo came to see me and it’s not my doing that he kissed me either. Your meant to trust me not to doubt me ” Chloe said feeling hurt by his words.

“I just….”

“And what about you? What about Cathy! Do you intend to dump me for her when she comes back?” Chloe yelled at him.

“Why are you suddenly talking about Cathy?” Bryan asked ruffling his hair.

“Why don’t you find that out yourself” she replied hotly turning to leave but he took hold of her hand.

“Where are you going? We are still talking”

“Am done talking to you! Leave me alone” she snap pulling her out of his.

Bryan felt like a jerk for the things he said to her and a part of him wanted to go after her to apologise but another stopped him due to the anger he’s still feeling.

Bryan was finally calming down when he got a call from Leo.

“Meet me at the science Lab” Leo told him before ending the call.

Clenching his fist in anger, Bryan made his way to the science lab.

LATER THAT DAY ~ HOPE HOSPITAL

“Where is her room?” Chloe asked as she and Bryan followed Carmen who led them to the Valerie’s ward.

As soon as the door open to Valerie ward, Chloe found herself starring at her look alike.

“My God! You two are identical” Bryan murmured behind her.

Valerie who couldn’t remember any one of them kept starring most especially at the girl who had the same face as her.

“Come in” Carmen urged and they both walk into the room leaving the door open.

Chloe was about to speak when they all heard a familiar voice at the door way.

“What the hell is going on?” Leo asked starring at Chloe then back to Valerie.

“Why is there two of you?” He asked Chloe who was too shock to say a thing.
