The next day,I woke up before jerry,I stared at him as he slept and the incident last night rushed back to me,I can’t believe I made love with him,I made love to my boss’s son and he is also the first I thought and stared at d blood
I looked back at him when I heard him gro-n and he opened his eyelid,he rubbed it and looked at me carefully
“Jade” he called while I just smiled
“Don’t apologize, don’t make me regret it” I said while he used his back hand to rub my cheeks carefully
“If anything comes of this I swear I will take responsibility” he said while I nodded
“I love u jerry” I said while he just smiled but didn’t reply, y is it so hærd for him to tell me he loves me back
We went back to the mansion and by then, Jerry’s mum was in the living took while my mum was kneeling at her front
“Where did ur stupid daughter take my son to” she shouted at my mother while jerry ran past me and went to my mum side and helped her up
“Jerry wat are u doing and where are u coming from with this b—h!!!” She fired while jerry ignored her
“Are u alryt ma’am” he asked my mum and she nodded
“U are the boss u are not supposed to be calling her ma’am,wat has gotten Into u” she berated
“Mum let d woman be am back now and nobody took me away in fact I was d one that took her out” jerry defended
“Jerry are u sick?”his mum asked
” no am not and I will love it if u stay away from jade’s mum and stop troubling her”jerry said and turned to my me
“Jade take ur mum in,side” he said and I nodded and left with my mum leaving jerry and his mum alone
“U are not my son” she said
“Think whatever u want,am going in I don’t have ur time mum” jerry said and walked away while she slumped on the chair

Jerry’s mum POV
Jerry hasn’t talked to me like this,that jade is the cause and am sure she has bewitched my son,so those films I watch on TV is true about young girls bewitching a man into marrying them, she is really a snake
“Hey sally come here” I called my hnadmaid that was standing beside me
“Yes ma’am” she answered
“I want u to keep an eye on jade,just tell me anything u notice about her” I said and she nodded

Jade’s pov
After our rom-ntic night in the cave,I would go to Jerry’s room and we would talk and laugh together but wat happened before never repeated itself,I would always put my head on his laps and we would talk till midnight and I grew so find of him that if I don’t see him for a day I go crazy

The next day when I was doing clean up in the room with my room,I quickly ran to the restroom and vomited, this is the third time I am vomiting today,wat is wrong with me
I went back to continue and I met mum’s piercing gaze
“Wat is really wrong with u jade” my mum asked and I shrugged
“Nothing may….” I was about to say when I felt the wall turning and I Almost fainted but mum held me and led me to the bed
“Jade tell me the truth” she asked
“I have told u d truth mum there is nothing wro…..” I quickly ran to the restroom again and later came back
“I want to trust u jade,so don’t disappoint me” she said and continued cleaning
Oh shit!! I have disappointed u already mum coz pregnant my mind shouted and I closed my eyes tight to stop the tears that threatened to fall
She is really gonna hate me I thought ad I watched her

I went to Jerry’s room at usual but for a different reason, when I entered without knocking I met him sitting on the floor looking dejected and I rushed to his side
“Jerry are u alryt” I asked and he shakes his head negatively
“Wat is it?” I asked
“My dad has died” he said and I covered my mouth in shock
“When?how?” I asked
“In a plane crash just few minutes ago” he answered and I cursed
“Wat will u do now” I asked
“I don’t know how to tell u this jade but I just have to tell u” he started with a sorry face
“Wat are u talking about?” I asked already afraid
“I am leaving for London tomorrow” he said and my eyes w¡dened in shock
“Wha…what did u say” I asked
“Jade I am the heir to the Antonio’s wealth so I need to go back and learn how to run the business from my uncle who is my dad assistant and since my dad isn’t alive anymore…..pls understand jade,even if I hate the company and my dad, I still need to take care of all he worked hærd for and I promised to come back….to and we will go to London together and get married and…….”
“When are u leaving?” I interrupted calmly,he looked at me and sighed
“Tomorrow, I promise I will come back” he said while I just nodded
“I will wait then,so till when” I asked
“After 3years” he replied
“Ok I will wait then ” I forced a smile but within me I feel like telling him that I am pregnant so that he won’t go but if I do it I am being selfish so I won’t do it I will just wait for him
“So did u have anything to say before I leave ?” He asked
“No…no I don’t have any” I lied still feigning a smile
“Ok then let’s take one last pics together before I. Leave” he said and we both posed for a picture

Jerry’s mum POV
I was reading a book after jerry departure because I was so unhappy so I wanna take my mind of it when I heard a knock on the door….it must be one of those stupid Maid I asked not to disturb me they will get it from me this time
“Come in” I shouted and sally my handmaid entered
“Wat is it sally do u have any news for me?” I asked sarcastically still looking at the book
“Yes ma’am” she said
“Go on spit it out” I said
“Jade is pregnant”she said and the book dropped from my hand and I turned to her
“Wat did u say?” I asked
“Jade is pregnant with ur son’s child” she said and I stood up in rage and scattered the books that were on my table in the study and ran out like a mad woman to jade’s room
“U b—h!!!!” I shouted immediately I got there and drew her by the hair to the living room by then the maid have all assembled when they heard my voice and her stupid mother was following us and begging me
When I got to the living room I threw her carelessly on the floor hoping she will lose her baby
“Ma’am wat did I do this time?” She asked while kneeling down and her mother was beside her,like two bitches
“U are happy now aren’t u…ughh,answer me u stupid witch” I said and slapped her and she held her cheeks and looked up to me and when she was about to talk her mother came to my front and looked at me defiantly
“Ma’am we are sick and tired of ur maltreatment in this house we can’t take it anymore!!!!” She berated and I laughed
“Why wouldn’t u stand up to me now when u know that ur daughter is carrying my son’s child” I said and she looked at me in shock
“Wat do u mean” she asked
“And wat of stupid question is that!!” I fired while she turned to her daughter
“Jade wat is she talking about?” She asked and jade started sobbing
“Mum pls I can explain, let me……”she didn’t allow her to finish before she fainted and the stupid jade was crying and calling for help while I stared at them in disgust and called the security guard to take them out of the mansion and left angrily while the maids dispersed no one daring to help them

Jade’s POV
The security guard helped me out by calking the ambulance and 15minutes later it came and he bade me goodbye after tucking 5000naira into my hands with pity in his eyes wish to do more

I walked to and fro in the hospital agitated of the worst that will happen to my mum,when I turned I saw the doctor coming out of the ICU and I quickly to meet him
” doc is she alryt”I asked while he just shaked his head negatively
“U have to calm down ok” he said while I stared at him in shock
“Wat do u mean doctor?” I asked
“She didn’t make it” he dropped the bombshell and I stared at him with wide eye
“We tried all our best and she had a past of high blood pressure and now she was just too shocked to overcome it,am so…..” The doctor voice trailed as I stood and looked at him,watched his moving l-ips without understanding a word,until he left and I entered the room, I saw my mum lifeless body,my sweet mum,I can’t believe I won’t see her again…. The shock is unbearable,I caused it….I really caused I wish I has not gotten pregnant or even meet jerry in the first place, I sat down on the bed and broke down in tears

Later my mum was buried and a new chapter of my life started,a hærd one to be precised….when I left the hospital, I left with only my Ghana must go which was filled with my clothes,I looked around I don’t even know wat to do,I just walked and walked and walked until I entered a market and I saw some people sleeping under the bridge and I went there and looked for a portion to lay my head,maybe Tomorrow I will look for a job,though the place stinks with ammonia and the piercing gaze of the people around the bridge overwhelmed me but I still stayed,I sprayed a cloth and lied down there and tried to sleep because it was dark already….good night sweedie I whispered to my baby before closing my eyes and praying silently to God for protection
