Meryl POV 🤪

I reached for a pink strapless 5inches heels to match with my dress. After putting it on,I went over to my dressing mirror and adjusted my dress.A pink bodycon dress,that stopped above my knee.

I made use of my silver earrings,silver rings and a silver bracelet. My phone started to ring and I reached for it. No one else except Cyril.

“Hello”

“Hey Merrily”.

I rolled my eyes. “I can change my mind,you know”.

” No one turns Mr handsome down. Do you know how many ladies are dying to be in the position,you are right now?”.

” Oh please… Am not one of them. So kindly save your story. Got it?”.

” Be ready to Paparazzi”

” That’s the problem,Cyril. I don’t like paparazzi. I mean it”.

” Okay but you can’t avoid it”.

” Maybe we should just forget it”.

” Why?’.

“I don’t like that kinda stuffs”.

“I’ll try to avoid it,I promise”.

I sighed. ” Okay”.

” So are you dressed?”.

” Yeah. Just finished with that. You?”.

” Not yet. Just finish bathing”.

” What?! And you’ve been disturbing me with calls”.

“Just kidding,I’ll be with you shortly”.

” Okay be fast. I give you ten minutes, once you’re a minute late. Just forget it”.

” What?”.

” Your time start now,Cereals”. I aborted the call and reached for a white mini bag,threw my phone in,side and headed downstairs.

My parents were in the living room.

“Wow,see who is going on a date”. My mom winked.

“It not a date,Mom”.

“So what is it?”.

“We’re just going out , that’s all”. I replied as I settled in the sofa.

” Tell us princess,is there something we’re missing?”.

” Something like what,Dad?”.

He shrugged. ” You and Cyril seem close this days”.

” Oh that… We’re just friends”.

” And the jerk aspect?”.

” He turn out not to be a jerk”.

” That’s the point”. My Mom ch¡pped in.

” What point?”.

” Before you said,he was a jerk,a spoilt brat,you called him all sort of names but now,it different”.

” What exactly,are you driving at,Mom?”.

” Well…. Am just saying,you’ll soon discover you love each other and that’s if you guys haven’t started dating already”. Mom said and immediately,avoided my eyes and sip from her wine.

Wait… You and Dad are actually thinking, there’s something going on between Cyril and I? And am hiding it?”.

” Isn’t it obvious. You’ve been calling each other,this days”.

” Listen,Cyril and I are just friends. Nothing more less”.

” But Meryl,why do you keep saying this friendsh¡p of a thing?”.

” Because friendsh¡p is what we share”.

” But that’s not what we want. Try and consider marriage between the two of you”.

” Oh please ,Dad. I already told you,Cyril and I can’t marry”.

” Why?”.

” Nothing,we just can’t”.

” You do say because you can’t stand him and now,you can’t even find any excuse again. For Christ sake,the boy is handsome and fool”.

” Am not disputing that fact,Mom. But I don’t like Cyril to the extent of thinking about marriage. Common guys”.

” Meryl, what’s the problem with you? Why are you playing hærd to get? You know it aust for you to marry him”.

” It not a must,we can’t marry and that’s it”.

” Yeah,good. Then Cyril should own the company to himself. What will now be my profit? If Cyril Marty’s someone else,it not an advantage to me”.

” That’s the point,it all because of the company. Cyril is the rightful owner of Maross. Ross has the largest share. That’s why you’re so desperate,Martin”.

” I f–king worked hærd to make life easier for you. I never enjoyed this type of luxury while growing up.Your mom knows that,and that’s why I promised to make you live a life of a princess. Yes,Ross has the largest share but Maross was my idea and plan,he just has the highest money because of his background,I worked hærd for mine”.

” Martin, If Cyril becomes the CEO,i’ll also get a position too. So please”.

” You can’t just give up like that”.

” Wait.. I don’t understand you anymore. Whether I marry Cyril or not. He’s definitely gonna be the CEO. So what’s the difference?”.

” Alot, Princess. Lots of difference. If you marry him ,you’ll both own the company but of you don’t, you’re just gonna lose out”.

” Am done with this conversation”. I pick my bag and made my way out of the living room.

Just immediately,Cyril drove in a yellow Lamborghini. This boy is freaking rich. He came out of the Car and I found myself admiring him.

Putting on a white shirt ,three buttons off , revealing his chest ,he had black earrings,a long silver chain and Rolex watch with a charm bracelet and not without black sunshades which he removed.

As he approached me,I notice his pink shorts,His long legs were expose and if I haven’t say this,am saying it now that he’s a god. Can’t deny that.

Cyril POV 😜

I couldn’t get my eyes off the angel sitting beside me. Why haven’t I notice how beautiful this goddess is? She’s more than beautiful.

I kept stealing glances at her. Can’t believe am admiring my old enemy. She’s not an enemy anymore but a friend. Not just a friend but more than a friend. Okay,… I don’t know.

“Where are we going anyways?”.

“Cinema, amusement park, shopping mall and restaurant “.

“All that places today?”. She ask with those beautiful green eyes of hers,which grew big.

“Yeah”. I answered as I look back on the road.

“I don’t just like this idea. We should have just go somewhere else,not this public. All this paparazzi stuffs. Geez…”.

” No worries,Meryl. I gat it under control and that’s why I brought enough guards.

“I hope so”.

Soon we got to the cinema,the doors opened after I’ve pressed it button. Meryl and I came out of the car.

👤 “Wow, that’s Mr handsome”.

👤 “What’s he doing with Meryl Martin?”.

👤” They use to be enemies”

👤 ” Does that mean, they’re dating now?”.

👤 ” Oh my God!”.

The gossips continued and Meryl stare at me.

“C’mon, let’s go in,side”. I urge her.

We entered the cinema.

🗣️ ” It Mr Handsome!!!”. Someone s¢ræm ,just then people start to clutter in pack , trying to come close but thanks to the tight security.

👥 “We love you ,Mr Handsome”

🗣️ “I love you!”.

“Now you’ll be feeling ontop of the world”. Meryl said as she rolled her eyes.

” You know,am the city’s sweetheart. So it expected”.

We got to the reception. The guards already made people there to leave. Only the receptionists were there.

“Mr Handsome”. One of the receptionists beamed.

Just then,two of the receptionists passed out,others rush them out. It not a new thing to me though.

“We want to see a movie”. Meryl spoke up to the two guys remaining by the reception.

“Okay,do you have any in mind?”.

“No”. I turñ to Meryl. “You”. She shook her head negatively. ” Get us the list of the available ones”.

“I’ll get it”. The other guy said and hand the book to me but I have it to Meryl.

👥 ” Mr Handsome,we love you!!!’.
The cries continued.

” We’ll go for skeleton”. I heard Meryl say and turn y
to her.

” Sounds like horror film”.

” It a comedy”.

” Okay”. I booked our tickets and turn to go.

” Please,help me with an autograph. My friends won’t believe I met you face to face”. One of the receptionists said.

I collected the book and signed.

” Me too”. The other said with pleading eyes.

I collected his and signed.

“Thank you”. They beamed k!$sing the books.

We left the reception, heading to the food section.

“You have the ugliest signature,have ever seen”. Meryl said.

I chuckled. “Are you jealous? I can give you one,if you want”.

“Leave me alone,Jerk”.

” Now,you’ve started again”.

👥🗣️👤 ” Mr Handsome!!!”. People start to s¢ræm, trying to break free from the securities.

” You know what? I’ll just tell one of the guards to get us,what we need. Am not ready for your fans again”. Meryl whined.

” Okay”.

I called one of my guards and gave him some dollar bills to get us,what we need and he left.

Meryl POV 🤪

Immediately,we entered the movie room. s¢ræms filled the air.

👥🗣️👤 “It MR HANDSOME!!!.
Everyone turn to him.

I rolled my eyes.
Not like he’s an artist or something.whats so special in him?

I scoffed.
The same guy,I do lash at.

The guards were not able to control the crowds,and Cyril decide to give them autographs.
He continued for almost 30minutes , getting me pissed off.

For Christ sake!
We’re here to see a movie.
I turn to him,and he was still doing it.

“Let’s go Carl”. I said to my personal bodyguard,we both stood up leaving the room

” Meryl.. wait!”. Cyril called after me.

I ignored and till we got out outside. Lo and behold… Paparazzi filled everywhere.They started flashing camera lights .
Unbelievable!

Cyril use the opportunity and caught up with me.

“Am sorry, let’s go the amusement park”.

“Okay”

Despite,how the paparazzi followed him,he ignored ,we got into his car and he zoom off to the amusement park.

We step out of the car and the paparazzi were waiting for us .

“Let’s go to the shopping mall”.

“And what difference does it make?”. I snapped at him ” Just answer any goddamn questions once and for all”.

“Okay”. He muttered and with the help of his guards ,I got into his car.

🗣️ “Mr Handsome,is it true, you’re now going out with Miss Meryl Martin?”.

🗣️ ” Is it true,you guys are engaged and planning to marry soon?”.

🗣️ ” Is it true, she’s carrying your first child?”.

What?
Are they crazy?

🗣️” Mr Handsome,you’ve never been seen with a lady. So are you now dating Miss Meryl? Have you changed your relationsh¡p status from single to engaged?

🗣️ “Is it true, you’re planning to get married soon?”.

🗣️ ” Is it because of the company, that you’re getting married to her?”.

🗣️ “Is it true that your parents are forcing you two to marry ?”.

🗣️ ” Are you not enemies again?”.

They kept flinging questions at Cyril. They gave him,no time to answer. Then,quite sudden,their words dried up.

“Evening to you all. I want you to disregard any information,that says Meryl is carrying my baby. She isn’t pregnant”. Cyril spoke up.

🗣️” Is there something going on between you two?”.

“No,we’re just friends……”. He turn to me and stare at me for a while. ” At least for now”.

🗣️ “For now? Does that mean,you might still reconsider on that?”.

Cyril licked his lower lip, making it glow pink. “I don’t know”.

🗣️ “What do you have to say about the marriage? Are your parents forcing you two?”.

” Disregard such informations. It aren’t true”.

🗣️ ” We’re you indoor with Miss Meryl throughout a week,that why nobody heard from you two?”.

” That will be all for now,thank you”. He turn away from them but they kept flinging questions at him.Once he got to me,he dip his hands in his short pocket. “Did I do well?”.

I let out a smile. “Yeah”.

He got in the car. “Should we go to the restaurant now? I already….

” No no… Please… Just take me home”. I cut him off.

” I know you’re mad at me right now. Am sorry”.

” No am not. I just wanna go rest”.

” Does that mean we can see some other time? So I can make it up to you?”.

” Am not sure,Cyril. I’ll be busy with cooking class”.

” Am sorry about today. I really am. I promise you,next time wouldn’t be like this. Even,if I have to wear a hood”.

I chuckled. ” It fine,Okay. I’ll come over to your house instead. I don’t know your little guy, though”.

He laughed briefly. ” I bet you’ll take back those words when you see my house”

“I don’t know the location”.

” You don’t worry. Whenever you’re ready. I’ll come pick you up . Okay?”.

” Yeah”.
