✍️ CHAPTER TITLE ✍️: Seeking For Revenge…. Part 1
Two days had gone by since Caleb told to have met with Crystal. Submit ting Caleb’s claims and Damien’s suspicion, their doubt was finally proved right when the monitoring cameras were checked at the mall, and they could see all that happened clearly from there.
The man who attacked Caleb had passed his side when he was trailing after Crystal’s voice, but as his mind wasn’t there he never noticed him..
Crystal’s man walked distance away from Caleb in the narrow passage until later whenn he strangely started trailingg alowly after him before he attacked Caleb from behind.
When the part where Caleb was being thrown across the wall by the man was shown, Damien’s palm formed a fist and he became angrier that Crystal had the mind to hurt one of them once again.
“Her face was not fully covered,” John pointed out, as he put some words down on a note which Damien didn’t know where he brought it out from.
“Only doctors takes report, you’re the first detective I’m seeing doing something similar,” Damien rolled his eyes in displeased after saying.
“It’s not your job, Damien. And, always control your anger whenever you want to speak with me.” John answered rudely. He was not in the mood to throw tantrums, else he knows how best to deal with Damien’s sneaky remarks.
For all the years of hard work and bringing the truth out of the dark, he has dealt with many difficult tasks, but Damien’s case gives him a lot of problems whenever he’s thinking about it.
If only he was the one who ran into her as Caleb did, there would have been a different story to tell. The woman’s ability to plot out her plans and bring out success from it surprises him.
“I don’t think she wanted to hurt Caleb,” John stated, imploring for the lady who was showing them the camera to replay a particular scene for Damien to see with his hand gesture.
“Her guard wanted to attack Caleb again, but see, she stopped him. You could see that with her demonstration,” John explained as he pointed at the video footage. There was no sound for them to listen to the conversation, but he wasn’t a detective just for the name, it’s who he was and what he’s good at doing.
“I must be right to say that she came there for something else, but Caleb ruined her plan and she had to leave before you haunt her down,” he completed with a sigh.
Damien had a frown on his face, which wouldn’t drop any moment from now, as his nerves were being tampered with over and over again.
“What else can be done? We need to find her before she attacks again. Your excuse was her not being in the country, now she’s back do something,” Damien expressed in full words, stepping away from them and from the receptionist that has been staring at him all along with him been aware and it annoys him.
The latter must have been blushing over her closeness to him or fantasizing about his presence. Either way, Damien only allowed her to be close to him because he needed her help. After all, what it took to get to see the footage was just a fake smile from him to her and she agreed.
“Go and keep your sister safe. Also, there’s a high probability that she has a spy living with you,” John after raising his body from the desk shared.
A wave at the lady who was still staring at Damien from the corner of her eyes, the both of them started heading out of the mall, with Damien who had put his nose mask back, and didn’t even bother to say a word to the lady.
“You were saying something?” Damien asked, wanting him to elaborate on his doubt for him to believe.
“Caleb told me that only your workers would know that you stepped out, since it doesn’t happen often. I can’t say much of how your location got exposed, but if ermm– what’s her name again?” His words trailed off as he tried to remember her name.
“Crystal?” Damien reminded in a deep voice.
“If Crystal came to the plaza with a bad motive, it must have been that her informant who lives with you told her that you’rere there,” John shared.
Damien lost himself in a wild thought. Could it have been possible? Aside from his office, Crystal also managed to have a spy in his mansion. How!?
“Don’t give me fake reasons to waste people’s lives, John. I won’t mind ending all of their lives if indeed there’s a spy in my mansion,” angry Damien uttered and his grey eyes narrowed at John in threat.
“I shared what occurred to me. It may be true or not, but if you think with the reasons I stated, you’ll realize what I’m trying to say. Get in the car and let me drop you at home,” The both of them hopped in the car after he was done replying.
“Do you have any shoot coming up soon?” He asked and got a nod from him.

“Stay safe and alert then. I’ve gotten the plate number of the car that drove them away. That should be useful in finding her,” he stated as he drove the car out of the mall.
“If Crystal has a spy in my mansion, how can I identify who it is? All of them act like a loyal servants,” Damien recollected how they’ve all maintained their place around him and wouldn’t dare to cross his part anyhow.
“Sometimes, we become fond of having our enemies around us and they take advantage of that to attack when we don’t expect. It’s not about how far it takes, it’s about how long it would last,” he answered his question with parable.
“Don’t put the safety of your sister in any of their hands. If possible, let her stay away from them and monitor them with a keen eye without suspicion. My instinct maybe right because I’ve had a similar case before,” John completed, but the cold-hearted man didn’t say anything afterward.
When they got to Damien’s mansion, Damien alerted from the car. Thanking him for the drop and they had few discussions afterward, before John eventually left.
Damien had to go see Caleb, so as to explain everything to him, and Caleb himself found it difficult to believe that Crystal possibly had a spy in the mansion. But according to John, it’s possible that one or many of the workers there is involved in Crystal dirty work.
They’ve been leaving on alert for two days and treading carefully until the culprit is found. Annabel spends most of her time with Damien as he’s mostly around her, while Caleb manages things in Damien’s absence.
They are hunting for Crystal but that shouldn’t stop them from maintaining the good legacy attached to the business’s hard work. Either Damien or Caleb needs to do that, and Caleb took it upon himself to ensure that everything is handled well.
Unlike before when Annabel always spent the night in her room alone, Damien had asked her to always stay with him, in his room.
She still misses Vera a lot, but Damien has promised to allow her speak with Vera soon and she believes him just fine.
Damien himself misses the Princess often and sometimes wishes that she was still there with them. If not for anything, but for the fact that he can always trust Annabel’s safety with her.
Their good life has been tampered with since Crystal entered their lives. First, he lost his parents because of her, and Annabel was in a coma for years.
Annabel is fully back to him but he can’t give her the best life because Crystal is out in the crazy world.
Everything needs to be sorted out soon so he will have the peace of mind that he always want for them.
Whosoever the spy in his mansion is should probably be counting his days before death comes very soon. Damien would end the traitor’s life once he finds him.

“If you consume half of the pillow, there would be no reason to crave his presence anymore. So, go ahead and finish it,” Andromeda raised her brows at Vera who was acting stupidly in her presence and wouldn’t stop pecking the pillow as if her life depended on it.
“I miss Damien. I miss him a lot. You know, I would have been massaging his head by now, or spending time with Annabel. I doubt if she misses me as much as I do,” Vera recited crazily, and sincerely her reaction was crazy in Andromeda’s eyes.
“I told you all this could be achieved easily. It won’t be difficult for Father to betrothed you to Damien,” she shrugged her shoulder tiredly after saying.
“That won’t be needed. Damien promised to come for me and I believe him,” Vera rejected her idea immediately.
“Indeed. Who knows if all those happened in your dreams,” Andromeda peeked a look outside the building before turning around to meet Vera’s hard glare.
“I called Caleb, he told me they have a lot of things to sort out. Damien isn’t coming around soon, so rest and don’t eat the pillow,” She yelled to her face and marched out of the room. Maybe Vera doesn’t know, but she looks irritating whenever she’s acting like that in her presence.
“Did you study psychology at the university? You are so poor when it comes to studying human character,” said Vera to her angry twin sister.
“That… I should probably go tell father where his eldest daughter went for three months,” Meda threatened and immediately left the room.
Vera knew that she wouldn’t do anything to hurt her purposely and she must have dropped an empty threat just to get back at her, so she didn’t bother standing up from the bed or going after her.
‘I hope your problems get solved soon, so we’ll be together, Damien’ she thought in her mind before dropping the pillow that had been in her arms.

Sarah appeared tattered and broken as she walked on the empty road. She’s none other than Smith’s wife. The man whom Crystal used to carry out many of her evil plans while keeping both her and her children hostage, and blackmailing Smith with his family’s safety.
Each time Smith failed to carry out what she wanted, she would make him pay the price by killing one of his children, right before Sarah’s eyes. Sometimes she gets beaten to a stupor and she has to beg for mercy, even when she didn’t do anything wrong.
They were blessed with three kids but none of them is alive. Crystal killed all three of them in her presence and she was made to watch their bodies decay to nothing but a pungent smell which gave her trauma afterwards.
Her husband’s eyes were plucked out by Crystal who used her index finger to turn Smith blind. Smith isn’t useful for her anymore so she ordered for the couple to be dropped at nowhere.
Sarah was beaten up by Crystal’s men and they were left to either die or survive if they wanted.
The pain was too much for Smith to bear as she couldn’t get any help for him, so he died.
Smith died but he didn’t go with Crystal’s secret. Smith confessed everything that had taken place to her, everything entirely before he eventually gave up his life.
Mourning both her husband and children at her early age, while realizing that her life has been ruined and she’s alone. The main reason for the misfortune is Crystal.
Smith and her were living happily before God blessed them with their own kids. Everything was going well until when Crystal kidnapped Sarah and the kids when they were returning back from a house party which they went for.
Smith had searched for his family for two days until he got an anonymous message which directed him to where Crystal held them hostage.
He was threatened to either become a devil or remain an angel while he watches his family die in his presence. Having been helpless Smith accepted.
Crystal promised to spare them later but instead of letting them go, she killed all of their children before going for Smith himself.
Sarah could not have made a better decisions to avenge her husband and children’s death aside the one she has made, and that’s to go after Crystal’s destruction.
It wouldn’t be a bad idea to pay the evil woman with a portion of her doom. Once she’s able to get help, and she travels down to the country where Damien is, she would reveal all the truth about Crystal to him.
The doom of the woman who caused her a lot of pain is near and she wouldn’t mind paying with her own life to make it possible.
A heartless woman like that doesn’t deserve to leave while she suffers for doing nothing. Crystal is going to go down soon.
