💎Elva’s POV💎

We cried silently in Mig’s ward, mourning Daisy.
Mig is looking gloomy,so is Fleur and i.
I was in the children’s ward telling them story when Fleur and Mig rushed in saying Daisy wants to see us.
I rushed out with them and we headed towards Daisy’s ward.
We entered and the condition we met her was terrible.

I’m glad we forgave her.
She was about saying something to me before she died but i couldn’t actually get what she was saying.
Her body has been sent to her parents.
She had died a very painful death.
I sniffled using the handkerchief to dab my face as more tears kept flowing.

“Let’s go home” Mig said slowly.
“You are yet to be discharged” I said.
“I want to go home,i don’t want to stay here any longer” Mig said.
“Ok you are fit enough to go home,i will go meet Doc Steph and tell him I’ll continue your treatment at home.” Fleur said before walking out.
I felt Mig’s hand on mine and i shifted closer to him,resting my head on his shoulder as i cried.

Fleur walked in some minutes later.

“Let’s start getting ready to leave” She said and started packing up our things. I stood up to help her while Mig pulled off the hospital wear, changing into his house wears.
We finished packing up and walked out of the ward.
We met Doc Steph at the corridor.

“Mig,i was told you wanna go home.. you’re so lucky to have a nurse as a sister” He smiled and Mig only nodded.
“And I’m so sorry about your friend’s death..the police are investigating it already,we’ve provided them the things they need to know and i assure you the killer will be brought to book soon” Doc Steph said in a comforting manner and we managed to smile.

“Thanks Doc, we will leave now” Fleur said.
“You and Miss Wilson can have tomorrow off” He said.
“Really?” We asked.
“Of course..you both deserve it” He said and i gave a little smile.
“Thanks Doc” We said.
“It’s alright Bye” He said.
“Bye Doc” We said before walking away.

Fleur and i bid the nurses at the reception bye even though their gazes was fixed on Mig who didn’t even spare them a glance.
We walked out of the hospital and headed home in silence.

“Wow it’s snowing” I said as soon as we got home.
“Yes..it’s Winter season” Fleur said with a smile while Mig opened the door.
We walked in and Fleur locked the door firmly.
We sat on different couch,staring into space.
It’s obvious Daisy’s death affected everyone,most especially Mig, i’ve never seen him look this sad.

I started dozing off and i soon laid down comfortably on the couch to satisfy nature.

I slept off..

I woke up few hours later with a rumbling stomach.
I sat straight and saw Mig and Fleur already asleep.
I yawned loudly,resting my back on the couch.

Whoa!!..I’m feeling cold.

I gazed blankly for a while before standing up.
I need to prepare lunch..I’m starving,and i know Mig and Fleur will also starve once they wake up.
I stood up and made my way to the kitchen.

I entered the kitchen and thought of what to prepare, i finally settled for Pasta with fried chicken.
I walked to the sink and washed my hands before picking up an apron with hair net.
I placed the ingredients on the kitchen cabinet,lit the gas cooker and started cooking.

I dished out the meal and placed them in a tray, before walking to the dining.
I walked back to the kitchen for three glass cups of water.
I returned to the dining and started arranging the dishes.
I plan to go wake Mig and Fleur as soon as i finish doing this.

“Wow! this aroma is just wow…” I heard Mig said behind me followed by some footsteps.

Mig and Fleur entered the dining and smiled on seeing the meal.
“Elva how did you know i was starving?” Mig asked in his jovial manner and I’m glad he’s better now.
“Of course I knew,have you forgotten my heart is connected to yours” I said playfully and we laughed.
“Gosh I’m starving” Fleur said already sitting down,smiling at the plate of pasta and chicken in front of her.
“Thanks Elva” She said and i smiled.

Mig and i also sat down and we all started eating.
We chatted and laughed during the meal but one could still sense the tension of Daisy’s death.
“This is delicious” Fleur exclaimed after emptying her plate..”is there more?” She asked.
“Yes.. it’s in the food warmer” I said and she jumped up rushing to the kitchen.
Mig and i laughed..
“Geez! Fleur loves food a lot” He said and i nodded in affirmative.

She returned with her plate filled and started eating, giggling happily.
“I want more too but I’m filled right now,and besides i don’t want to be a food monger like Fleur” Mig teased and Fleur sent him a glare before hitting him playfully.
I laughed before gulping my water,I’m also done eating.
I sat down for a little while before rising to my feet.
I started picking up the empty dishes but Fleur stood up and stopped me.
I gave her a questioning look.

“You made lunch,so i will do the dishes” She said.
“Ok then let’s do it together” I said.
“No i will do it alone,go and have a rest” I said.
“I insist” I said and she gro-ned before giving in.
We both walked to the kitchen, while Mig walked back to the living room.

We finished doing the dishes and walked back to join Mig in the living room.
We sat down on the couch.
“Geez..I’m feeling cold” Mig said hugging his body.
“I too” Fleur and i said together.
“Are there still some logs of wood left for the fireplace?” Mig asked Fleur.
“No have you forgotten,they finished the last time” Fleur said.
“Ohh..that’s true,let me go search for some” He said and was about standing up.
“No Mig,you can’t. You are still recovering and going out in the snow might worsen your state” Fleur said.

“So…is this how we are going to remain cold then?” Mig asked and Fleur shook her head.
“Elva and i will go in search for some woods,just stay behind and watch over the house” Fleur said and i nodded.
“Okay..” Mig said.
“Elva come with me,let go put on some thick sweater” She said and i stood up and we both walked to her room.
She selected a pink thick sweater for me while she selected a red one for herself.
We wore it over our clothes before stepping out.

“So Mig,look after the house,we will be back soon” Fleur said when we got to the living room.
“Okay..stay safe” He said and i waved at him before we walked out of the house.

We headed into the woods…

It’s getting dark and yet we keep walking deep and deeper into the woods.
We finally found some,we packed them together and shared it into two equal part.
Fleur carried one part and i carried the other part.
We started heading home back.
We were actually talking when Fleur suddenly scre-med.

“Snow monster” She asked pointing to one direction,i looked there and also scre-med on seeing the snow monster approach us.
We held tightly to each other, scre-ming in tears.

💎Mig’s POV💎

It’s getting dark and Fleur and Elva is yet to be back.
I paced to and fro before going into my room to pick up a thick sweater.
I quickly wore it,walked out of the house and locked the door firmly.

I walked into the woods, where we normally go in search for some logs.
I walked deeper and deeper but couldn’t find them.
I was starting to get worried until i sighted them coming from afar with some logs of woods.
I sighed in relief and walked towards them but suddenly stopped when Fleur shouted;

“Snow monster” pointing in my direction.
The both of them dropped the woods in their hands and held tight to each other in fear,scre-ming. I laughed loud as i walked towards them.
I made a growling sound which made them scre-m louder as i got closer.
I laughed so hærd my chest hurt.

“Oh my God..it’s Mig” Elva shouted.
“What!” Fleur exclaimed.

They both got up with a mean look and i know what I’m up against.
They picked one log of wood each and i started running before they could hit me.
They chased me with the big logs of woods in their hands and i laughed as i ran.

💎Mig’s POV 💎

We arrived home chatting and laughing,we entered the house and i packed the woods to set up the fireplace while Elva and Fleur walked to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
I arranged some logs of woods perfectly in the fireplace before striking the match.

A log fire cracked in the fireplace and instantly added pleasant warmth to the living room.
I stood up and pulled off my sweater before sitting on the couch.
Thanks to the lit fireplace,I’m now feeling warm,i stared into space clicking my tongue.
I remembered Daisy and felt my body shook.
Her death hurt me a lot, she was just like a family and i like her so much. Why did she just have to die like that,I’m very sure she would have turn a new leaf but that’s too late now ..

I brushed off my thoughts and stood up, walking towards the kitchen to meet Fleur and Elva..I’m getting bored alone.
I met them washing the dishes in the sink with their backs to me.
I smiled to myself as a thought crossed my mind .
I mewed like a cat and they scre-med so loud in fear with the dishes dropping out of their hands.
I laughed hærd, holding my stomach.
My chest was hurting but i couldn’t help the laughter..the way Fleur had w¡dened her eyes while scre-ming is enough to make a doll laugh.

They turn to glare at me and i smirked.
“Mig that isn’t funny” Fleur scre-med.
“Mig you scared us!” Elva exclaimed.
“That was how you growled like a snow monster earlier” Fleur said with a frown.
“C’mon girls,you get scared easily” I said.
“Gosh..that was scary,i thought a cat had walked into the kitchen” Fleur said and i chuckled.
Fleur has always been like that since childhood, she gets scared easily and i usually taunt her with it.

“Why haven’t you started preparing as anything?” I asked.
“We are still debating on what to make for dinner so we decided to wash the stained dishes first” Elva said.
“Okay why don’t you make casserole?” I asked and saw excitement written all over their faces.
“Yes!!” They exclaimed.
“But” Fleur said.
“What?” I asked.
“You are gonna prepare it” She said and a frown appeared on my face.
“But you said it yourself that I’m still recovering” I pouted.
“Hmm…yes but that doesn’t stop you from preparing casserole” Fleur said as i felt like knocking down her head.
“Aaaargh” I sighed.

“Okay let all make it together,you will be the main cook. Fleur and i will just be of assistance” Elva said.
“Yeah i agree” I said and smirked when i saw Fleur’s face.

Lazy ass.

We sat round the dining with our meal placed in front of us .
“I can’t wait to start eating” Fleur said.
I shook my head and she sent me a glare.
We started eating.
“Yummy…I’ve missed casserole” I said with a nod.
“So…we will check out the passage tomorrow right?” Fleur said.
“Yeah”
“The door code is still with us right?” I asked.
“Yeah…it’s scribbled on the paper, that’s in the shelf”
“Okay tomorrow then..” I concluded gulping my water.

I was done with my dinner when i noticed Fleur and Elva finished before me .
“I’m going to bed” I said standing up.
“Aw…let’s all go to bed together,wait a little so Elva and i can sort out the dishes” Fleur said and i nodded.
“Okay, I’ll be in the living room” I said with a yawn before walking there.
I sunk into a couch and yawned again… I’m very sure i would have dozed off before they finish washing the dishes.

💎Elva’s POV💎

Fleur and i took the empty dishes to the kitchen sink and started washing.
We talked about a lot of things and ended up spending up to an hour on just few dishes.

We were finally done,we placed it in the drain board and dried our hands before walking to the living room.

We met Mig already asleep on the couch.
“Whoa !! Mig slept quite early today” Fleur said and i nodded.
She gave him a light tap on his shoulder and he opened his eyes, sitting up right on the couch.
“Mig come sleep in your room” She said and he nodded sleepily before standing up.

We entered our various rooms after saying our goodnight.
I jumped right on the bed squealing excitedly.
“Damn I’ve missed this room especially this soft bed” I muttered looking around.
I smiled before getting up from the bed.
I picked my pyjamas from the wardrobe, then headed to the bathroom.

🚿🚿

I walked back to my room after freshening up for the night and then changing into my pyjamas.
I bounced on the bed and turned on the bedside lamp,i slipped the blanket over my body and yawned loudly.
I will finally have a good night rest.
I closed my eyes and before i knew it. I had fallen into a deep sleep.

💮❣️ Next morning💮❣️

I stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my body .
I walked out of the bathroom and headed towards my bed.
My today’s outfit is spread on the bed .

I dried my body before slipping on my undies,picked up the body lotion,pressed it on my palm, rubbed it together before applying it on my body.
I wore my white tank top with blue skirt .
I stood in front of the mirror to adjust it perfectly.

I already received my monthly pay and I’ve told Mig and Fleur about it while we were still at the hospital.
I plan on buying Fleur the black beautiful shoes she always stare admiringly at everyday on our way home and Mig ?… I don’t know yet but i will definitely come up with something.
I brushed through my hair and applied some hair lotion before packing it into a bun,I slipped my feet into my flip flops before jogging out of the room.

I got to the living room and met Mig sitting on the couch with a novel in hand..he’s clad in a cute white top with black jeans.
I pinched his lightly and he flinched, turning back to look at me.
I laughed.
“That’s the pay back of what you did to us yesterday” I said and stuck out my tongue.
He sent me a playful glare and i smiled before sitting beside him.

“Title?” I asked pointing to the novel in his hand.
“The k-ss” He replied.
“Wow!” I exclaimed looking at him with puppy eyes.
He smiled,already knowing what i meant.
“Okay… okay,i will lend you once I’m done with it” He said.
“Yaaay” I squealed excitedly, hugging him.
He k-ssed me in the process and i smiled blushing deeply.
“Where is Fleur?” I asked.
“In the kitchen, making breakfast”
“Uh.. okay, let me go help her” I said” I said and stood up.
I hit him playfully on the shoulder.
“Ouch” He said and i laughed, sticking out my tongue before strolling to the kitchen.

I met Fleur already setting up the table..
“Good morning Fleur”
“Good morning Elva”
“Wow..you already made breakfast” I said and she nodded.
“It’s pancake and tea..and you know what?” She asked.
“What?”
“I’m very good at making pancakes,you are really gonna enjoy you” She boasted playfully and i smiled.
“Help me call Mig to the dinning please” She said walking back to the kitchen to drop the tray.

“Mig” I shouted from the dinning..”breakfast is ready” I said.
“Okay… coming” He said and i heard loud footsteps coming towards the dinning.
Fleur also returned from the kitchen and we all sat down to eat.

We washed the dishes after breakfast and truly i enjoyed Fleur’s pancake.
She’s gonna teach me how to make it some other time.

Mig took the paper containing the code and we all headed to the underground passage.
We opened the door and climbed down the stairs before getting there.
It’s dead silent and i kinda felt scared.
Daisy’s luggage stood by the side of the door and Fleur shook her head sadly before dragging it aside.
Mig’s face had turn sad.
He sighed and shifted closer to the door,he pressed in the code and surprisingly the door opened.

“Wow” We exclaimed at once with our mouth agape.
