“What are his pictures doing here?” I furrowed my brow.

“You mean Dominic?” She asked.

She even know his name! My husband?

“Yes” I replied trying to hide the shock plastered across my face.

“It’s a long story my dear. Let’s go” She said as she finally turn the knob of the door.

“A long story I am willing to hear” I replied with my hands akimbo.

“You sure wanna hear?”

“Yes” I replied.

“I am Margaret Diamond, The wife of the richest tycoon seller in the wh0le of New York.

I was enjoying my life with husband and My two years old son when my ex lover came.

I then realised I was still in love with him. And he still loved me too.

I began to see him secretly and we started our affair again.

He told me he wanted us to go further by getting married.

But i had a son…. and husband!

I decided to think about it well then i came to conclusion.

I left my Two years old Son, Dominic and my husband.

I didn’t care. I wanted to explore my Self with someone i truly love.

I didn’t care about what will happen.

All I cared about was my self and myself only.

I didn’t care about how my son would live without a mother,His mother.

Fifteen years later, My husband left me for another lady. I begged him but he said he could not spend his entire life with someone who would leave him over petty things.

I left my first husband because of him but he didn’t appreciate that.

I came back to New York to search for my Husband and my son that I left fifteen years ago.

But i found no one. Our house was empty and it was like no one had ever lived there.

I stayed around for two weeks and finally heard that my husband died three years after I had left.

I heard no useful news about my son. 😢

I was left with no one.

I needed my family back.

Five years later,which was seven years ago, I saw my Dominic,But it was on Social Media.

That was the name Social media gave my son.

My instinct told me he was my son, His name even gave me high hopes….. “DOMINIC DIAMOND ”

I before did a background research about him before knowing he was my son.

Social Media thought my son is an orphan.

I caused it.

I am a bad Mother.

Early this year, I fell gravely ill.

I then visited the hospital.

I am suffering from Lung cancer.

And I’m in the last stage.

Doctors said…. it can’t be cured.

I stopped visiting hospitals cause their response are the same….. it can’t be cured.

“I only have one wish my daughter,I have just few days to live. I just have one wish” The old woman finally said and I realised I’ve been crying too.

“Tell me ma” I whispered.

“I want to meet my son and make him forgive me. I want to lay my head on his chest.I want to spend my last days with him. I want to tell him I am so sorry. I’m so sorry for being a bad Mother. I am so s…sorry” She cried loudly falling on me and I hugged her so tight.

“Your son will forgive you. He will surely forgive you. He might not be able to put his words into place but he loves you” I cried patting her.

“He won’t. I heard he is cold hearted, I heard he got married recently too. I wished I was present at his wedding. I missed all my chance of being A mother and a Mother in law. I am useless!” She lamented and I cried h-rder.

“Mother…. You’re not useless. He will forgive you. He might be the Cold hearted the Social media had define him but not anymore. He has changed,I can assure you that. I will talk to him and he will listen to me” I said preparing to stand up but she stopped me.

“You’re funny,Who are you to tell him what to do. Just let it slide please” she said and i held her hands in mine.

“I am Nikita Dominic Diamond. I am his lawfully wedded wife” I said showing her my wedding ring.

“Really? Oh my goodness. You’re my daughter in law? You’re gonna be a mother? And I’m gonna be a grandmother? Oh my child. Thank you so much” She cried hugging me again.

“So mum, I’m gonna talk to him. He deserve his mother and you deserve your own Son” I said and I stood up.

“I’ll forever be grateful if you can help me my child. I want my son back” She cried and I hugged her again.

She followed me outside,and i met my car there.

She gave me my car key and I drove out of her compound,thinking on how to make Dominic forgive his mother….

I paced around my compound nervously….. Where is My Wife?

I placed a call across her and this time….. she picked it.

📞I am sorry sweetheart,I’m almost home” She said and ended the call and I heaved a sigh of relief.

“Where is she?” Pius,Jasper and Mirabelle chorused.

” She said she’s almost home” i replied and they smiled.

“Thank Goodness,I thought something bad might have happened.

“No….. not to my wife” I said and we laughed.

Nikita drove in slowly and rushed out of the car.

‘I’m sorry honey,Somthing came up” She said hugging me.

“What came up?” I asked.

“Later,okay?” She asked.

“Okay” I replied and she k-ssed my cheeks.

“Long time guys” Nikita said turning to Jasper,Pius and Mirabelle.

“Long time? We may just recently ” Jasper said and I rolled my eyes.

“Wait….. Nikita,what’s wrong with you?” Pius asked and i furrowed my brow.

“Nothing? What happen to me ” She replied.

“Y..you’ve added a lot of weight! I bet Dominic is feeding you with his sp-rm” Pius said and we laughed.

Nikita moved towards me and rested her head on my chest.

“It’s my husband’s sp**m afterall” Nikita said and I pulled her more closer.

“Ah….. I see” Mirabelle said and we laughed.

I sat on the bed beside Nikita who was so engrossed in her thoughts.

“What are you thinking about baby?”I asked k-ssing her cheeks.

“I’m just happy” she replied facing me fully.

“So…. tell me why you were late” I asked her grabbing her by her wa-ist,while on bed.

“When you left for work….. ” She said slowly,smile plastered across her face.

“Okay babyyyy” I said.

“I started to crave for burnt toast…”

“What! Burst toast?” I interrupted her.

“If you interrupt me again huh. …. I’m not gonna tell you anymore” she said and i winked at her.

“Come on baby” I said k-ssing her l-ips.

“So….. i went to the supermarket to get it. But I don’t know how it happened,I started feeling dizzy. To cut the long story short,I opened my eyes and met my self in an unfamiliar environment…… ”

“What…. but how?” I asked,interrupting her.

“Stop interrupting me, in fact I’m not saying anything anymore ” She said and I smiled at her.

“Please baby,okay….. I’ll get you a burnt toast” I winked at her and she pouted.

“You’re teasing me right now” She furrowed her brow and I laughed .

“Come on,tell me” I said and k-ssed her and she smiled.

“Then an old woman came in and said she’d brought me to her house because I passed out at the supermarket.

I thanked her,though I told her she should have taken me to the hospital.

She said she was sorry and that she had invited the Doctor.

“Hope there is no bad news?” I asked,nervously.

“Sweetheart ” She said softly…… taking my hands in hers.

“You’re making me scared baby” I said.

”Darling…. we’re gonna be parents. I am Pregant” She said and I gasped.

”Really…. wait.. are you for real? Tell me you’re joking baby” I said,hiding my happiness.

“Y…. you don’t …. you don’t want it? You don’t want a baby?” She whispered.

“Want what? Baby i love it. I am a happy,I can’t believe I’m finally gonna be a father!” I shouted and hugged her so tight.

” I’m happy you’re happy” she beamed with smile.

“I want a Girl baby” I smiled.

“But i want a baby boy” I said and she chuckled.

“Don’t worry,I’m satisfied with any gender” I winked at her and she smiled.

She stood up from the bed and went to carry her bag.

“Did you know this woman?” She said bringing out a picture from a bag and she handed it over to me.

“No….. who is she” I asked and she shook her head.

“Are you crying?” I asked.

“No…. this woman, She was the one who took me to her house” she said and i nodded.

“Awww…. I wish to meet her and tell her Thank you” ” I said and she muttered something I didn’t hear.

”you said something?” I asked?

“Dominic? What would be your first reaction of you meet your mother?” She asked and i frowned my face.

“Nothing…… just walk past her like she’s some stranger” I replied and she shook her head.

“This woman…… Saved me….. and she …. is your Biological Mother!” She said and I laughed

“You’re funny. That woman should be dead by now” I laughed.

“Dominic!” She half yelled.

“Yes baby! ” I replied and she smiled.

“Well…… she is not dead. Dominic,your mother needs you ” She said.

“You’re making me mad right now” I said and she shrugged her shoulder.

“Darling,I know she has hurt you but please,forgive her. She really need you now than ever” She said.

“Where was she when I needed her!? She wasn’t with me when I had bone fracture seventeen years ago! When I couldn’t walk for a year! When I needed someone to Help me walk again! She wasn’t there! I couldn’t walk for One Good Year! You know who stood by me? Jasper’s family and Pius’ family including Jasper and Pius. I owe them a lot. Don’t tell me those shit. She is better off dead to me. I don’t have a mother anymore,you get that?” I said and she breathed in….. then out.

“I know she didn’t treat you right. But just give her the Chance to treat you better. Baby,just one hug. …. just give her one hug and your hatred will melt. I swear” She said and I shook my head.

“Sweetheart, to hell with the hug. I don’t even wanna see her! She is the cause of my dad’s death. That man died of heartbreak! So…. why should i care about a woman like her!?” I yelled.

“She Is suffering from Lung cancer…… and she is in her last stage. She want to spend her last days with her son ” She said and I felt sorry .

My mother has cancer?

“W….whatever. I’m out of this discussion” i said walking away.

“Dominic?” She called me and I stopped.

“You will be shock by my next move If you refuse to forgive her ” She said and I shook my head then walk away.
