“And where do you think you’re coming from?” I heard mum say as I walked into the living room.
I first settled down on the nearest couch before replying her.
“I went out” I said
“Does that answers my question?” She asked in rage
“That only depends on you mum” I replied
“I’m your mother and I deserve every right to know your where about”she said
” Mum, I’m grown up now, you don’t have to worry about where I go to, as far as I’m back home safely, you don’t have to be scared? ” I replied
” Scared? Jeremy what have you done? ” She asked totally confusing
” Done? Like I don’t understand mum, explain better” I replied
” Don’t pretend you’re not aware of what’s going on” she said
“Seriously mum, I have no idea” I replied
” Fine, you were with that Stella of a brat today, weren’t you? ” She asked and I chuckled
” Mum, she’s human, and deserve some respect from you, calling her names won’t help a bit” I said
” That doesn’t answer my question” she replied
” Well mum, as you can see, it’s late already, and I’m really really sleepy, need a full rest” I said
” What the hell are you saying Jeremy, you even skipped school today. All because of a nobody” she said
” Mum seriously, I don’t appreciate you calling Stella names, she’s like part of me, calling her names means you’re also referring to me” I said and mum stood up furiously.
” What the hell Jeremy. I’m. 99.9% sure that you’re out of your senses” she said
” I’m glad it’s not up to a hundred” I replied
“Suddenly you’ve become sarcastic. Clearly you’ve been Bewitched Jeremy” she said and I bursted into another round of laughter.
“Bewitched, you say. I don’t know why that word is so common among mums who don’t want their son with a particular girl” she said
” Tha…..
“It’s okay mum, good night” I said cutting her In climbing the stairs to the direction of my bedroom
” Jeremy how dare you, I’m not done talking” she yelled from downstairs
” Sorry mum, I’m really tired” I replied entering my room and locking the door to avoid disturbance. Just before she comes shouting again. I put on my headset to the highest volume knowing it’s dangerous. Music is better than hearing mum yelling at the top of her voice.
Well I don’t really mean to disrespect her, but things are already getting out of hand. She really think he could just control me, I’m already off the teen age. Yh, I know she has been through a lot, that’s the particular reason I’m doing my best not to hurt her, because of the love I have for her. But she’s taking it too far. Besides I decided not to have anything doing with love because of what the man she claimed to love did to her after realising she was pregnant for me. I can’t even open my mouth to say if I have a father. I wonder if he even thinks or remember he has a son somewhere or remember he abandoned a teenager with a pregnancy 19-20 year ago. Well, I don’t give a damn, I’m used to living like that. But Stella changed a part of me. And I can’t let mum just spoil a everything in a blink of an eye. I’ll fight for what I want even if it means giving up what has motivated me all through my life, music.

Next Morning
It was the continuous knock on the door that jerked me out of sleep.
I didn’t want to answer, but mum was scre-ming on top of her voice, and I just can’t afford a new dose of head ache.
“Jeremy I won’t talk again, the next thing you’ll see me doing is breaking down your door” she said
” I’m coming mum, please chill, you woke me out of my sleep” I said walking to door finally opening and she rushed in angrily. I really don’t know what is going on but she’s really angry and I’m so sure it’s not about last night.
“I thought you were never going to open up” she said
“No mum you don’t understand, I was asleep” I replied.
” Asleep? It’s past 8am and you’re meant to be on your way to school if not there already” she said.
” Mum, I see no reason for that, I’ll be in school when needed. I got the skills from birth, what the heck I’m I going to do in the school filled with freaks” I replied.
” I know this is about Stella, and I promise you, she’s gonna pay for it” mum said angrily
” Speaking of that, what the hell did you do to Amaya” mum said ragging in anger.
” Me? Amaya? Definitely nothing mum” I replied
” Don’t play games with me Jeremy, you know what I’m talking about” she said.
” Swears mum, I’m lost here. And I don’t read minds” I replied
” Tell me why Amaya left rock and roll? Her dad just emailed her letter to me this morning” she said showing me her phone.
” To be sincere mum, I don’t know anything about this” I defended
“Jeremy, why are you doing this to me? ” She asked in a tone that actually hurt me, it made me feel kind of guilty. But I’m not gonna fall for that this time.
“Mum, I’m sorry if I’ve hurt you in anyway, but the truth is that, Amaya was in that school for her own interests. If you’re worried about me and her? I have to assure you we are on good terms, we even talked yesterday” I explained
” Aren’t you guys meant to be together. That girl likes you Jeremy” mum said.
” I’m sorry mum, but I never thought you could trade me happiness just for your interest. I’m your son mum, the only one you have” I replied
” And what does that have to do with these? ” She asked
” Mum, we both know the only reason you want me to be with Amaya is because she’s the daughter to the president. Mum, that’s totally out of shade. What you think Amaya is feeling is obviously infatuation. Considering all the things she has done in that school. She broke thousands of rules. And you did nothing. The most shocking part is you cooperating with her to expell an innocent student. The fact is that you can force me to be with Amaya but my heart would never be with that” I replied heartily.
” You are so ungrateful Jeremy and I promise you’ll pay for all what you’re doing” she said and I must admit, those words were like a bomb to me.
” Mum, did you just say that. I mean is should be the one hating on you, you gave birth to me without a father. I was on your side. I understood every reason you told me. Because of you mum I hated the man I’ve never met. Nobody beside me except you mum. Even though you forced me to do a lot of stuff, without caring for my own feelings if I’m happy or not. I still made sure your happiness was my priority. I did a lot of things against my will, I became a loner, what ever I did you found wrong. I mean look at me mum. You had me when you were still a teenager. I’m sure your parents didn’t force you to do that, I’m sorry mum if you don’t find me in this house again, good bye” I said picking my car key rushing out, not even caring if I’ve taken my bath or not, I just wanted to be far away from mum. She’s my problem now. Don’t quote me wrong, this is not because of Stella,it involves me now. And I’m leaving. She didn’t even look remorseful through out my speech, I guess she do give a damn about me. I’ll jus make that easier for her.

🍍 Stella’s pov 💛
I was still in my bedroom parking in preparation, cause we will be leaving this house finally to the official house given to Jason on his new job. Well I had to take a lot of things with me, I’ve lived in this house for so many years. I guess it will be best for us to leave since it houses a lot of memories of how we were never shown great parental care. How my dad lied to us about our mother and lot more. Leaving here will be a big relief to me psychologically. But I’m glad Jason decided against selling this house, since it’s the only possession left with us by our dad. One may not know, he may come back claiming we sold his house, that’s if he still remember he has kids.
Still in preparation, I heard voices outside, really loud voices outside so I decided to peep thorough the window and fortunately I could see.
Jeez!! It’s Jeremy’s mum, and my mum is with her. Jeez!! This is gonna get messy, mum works in rock n roll.
I quickly went outside to intervene, but my presence wasn’t noticed quickly.
“What the hell are you doing here Karen, this is Stella John’s house if I’m not mistaken, I did my research well” she yelled but mum didn’t reply her.
” I’m talking to you Karen, don’t you have ears?” She yell again but still got no reply, and I must admit it was pissing me the way she yelled at my mum, jeez!! And Jason left for work so early.
“Are you crazy, I’m talking to you or you wanna loose your job huh?” Jeremy mum said and I had to intervene, she can’t just be calling my mum names and go that way.
” I’m sorry Mrs Joan you can’t come here because you’re rich or poor to yell at someone like you please” I defended, I have to admit, I really don’t know where the boldness was coming from.
“Wow! Stella, I guess this is your house which shows my research wasn’t wrong, what are you Karen, doing here?” She asked aggressively.
” Show some respect okay. She’s my mum and she has the right to stay with her kids. So coming here to yell isn’t helping you” I replied
” Bravo! I see Stella has gotten some ego” she said laughing over it.
“So Karen, you’re the mother of this fool, you never told me you have a child” she said sarcastically
” I’m sorry ma’am you never asked” mum replied politely and that made me boil the more.
” Wow!! That’s fantastic. I guess you’re to resume work on Monday next week. Well , as from today, you seize to be the staff of Rock and Roll Cause I can’t have anything related to a pig work with me. ” She said, I wanted to reply but mum stopped me.
” I’m sorry, but non of my kids can be called a pig. Well, thanks for the opportunity you of firing me, cause I was looking for an excuse to resign. After what you did to my daughter, and what I heard you did. I’ve decided not to ever have anything to do with you. Calling my daughter names is what I won’t tolerate, so I advise you turn towards the direction of your car and leave” mum replied her. Jeez! Mum said all those and she still sounded polite.
“Wow!!” Jeremy’s mum exclaimed clapping
” I see wings. Like mother like daughter, be glad I’m not in a really bad mood today or else, You wouldn’t be the same anymore. But trust me, your life won’t be the same way anymore as far as I’m concerned. And tell your gold digging daughter to release my son wherever he is and tell him to come back home, or else next, I’ll be coming with the police next. It’s been two days now, I promise next, she won’t be a free person” she said catwalking. I wanted to follow her and give her a piece of my mind but mum held me back.
“It’s okay swiii, people like her, are best ignored” mum said and I decided against my decision.
Jeez! So Jeremy has not been home and he has been coming here daily, even helping us packing. Maybe I have to talk to him. But this mum of his, really needs to find her way to the asylum.

Five days later ❣️
Wow!! I’m so so happy we finally moved away from that house it wasn’t that easy, but Jeremy and Olivia were of great help to us and I’m glad to have them as a friend. Well today we will be hosting a dinner party at my place to celebrate. It’s been really fun and exciting leaving here. I can’t believe we are this comfortable with all Thanks to Jason. A big thank you to those guys who beat him up , it really made him come back to his senses.
And mum invited Olivia who is coming with Jace and Amaya, of course Jeremy is invited. Well Olivia finally settled her differences with Jace, and they’re really good together. Olivia who finds it difficult to smile, laughs at the stupidest of Jace’s joke, even the one which isn’t funny. I wonder what they had a fight in the first place. Well I’m still gonna find out.
As for Jeremy, his mum really doesn’t seem that care about his feelings, so he’s with Jace in the beach house they both purchased. No one really knows about it, except I, Olivia and Jace. Well he told me about his story with his mum, and I felt really sad for him, it’s like she doesn’t even care. She just keep reminding me of my dad. Well, mum is there and she has been the best I could ever ask her, it was really wicked of dad lying to us about her preventing us from knowing what a nice soul we have as a mum.
Well I’m really glad Amaya is now part of our coup. She’s now aspiring as a model, and would be contesting in the country next peagant show. Well she got the qualities we need.
Smith moved out of the country, he wanted what he could never get from me, not that he isn’t changed or cool, just that I don’t feel anything for him. I only feel for.. we let me leave that sliding. Cause I don’t think it’s gonna work.
As for Alexa, she’s the only one not wanting to change, I can’t believe she tried a stupid funny plan of using a portion on Jeremy. Funnily enough, it didn’t work, she was duped by the portion seller. I hope she just realize feelings can’t be forced on someone, it isn’t something you can control, it just rise, not minding things or condition around.
Mum, Jason and I were preparing the table for dinner. Jason isn’t inviting his friends cause it’s mostly for I and my friends. Mum is finally leaving with us and she’s insisting on getting another job, but Jason and I disagreed with her. I’m also thinking of getting a job at a music publishing center, even though I can help them write lyrics without my name attached to it, as long as I get paid. Since I’m not really destined to make it in music.
Accurately, we finished preparing the table before we heard a honk at the gate.
“Don’t worry Stella, go get ready I’ll get the door” Jason said
” Thanks Jay” I replied rushing to my room to put on something better. At least I got a closet of my own and the room is much more bigger than my former

“Aww..I’m so happy to see you guys, I said hugging each of them happily
“Definitely best, at least I got to see your annoying face again” Olivia said and I bursted into laughter
” Well I’m happy to see her beautiful cheerful face again” Jeremy said and I blushed, Olivia just rolled her eyes, while Amaya and Jace laughed it off.
“Jeez! Jeremy, don’t be so dumb, you saw her earlier today” Olivia Said laughing.
” It isn’t your business swii, focus on Jace” Jeremy replied
” That’s me babe” Jace said dragging her to him but she kicked him off.
“Ouch that hurt” Jace exclaimed and Olivia chuckled
“Serves you right jerky” Amaya replied teasingly. I’m so happy she’s happy.
“You’re all welcome sweeties ” mum said walking to the dining area.
” Thanks ma’am Karen”they said in unison.
“Okay we’ll have dinner now, just some minutes for Jason” I sold and we all had fun talking waiting for Jason to arrive.

“Thanks ma’am Karen, you’re a great cook” Jeremy said smiling
“I totally agree with that” Jace said smirking. Jeez! Weirdo…… Wonder the need for smirking.
” You guys should thank me too, I helped” I argued
“Helped disturbing” Olivia said laughing
“Olivia! You are meant to have my back” i
Yelled.
” Thanks all, I’m so happy you enjoyed it” mum replied.
” Mum tell them I helped” I said pouting and mum laughed
“Of course you did sweetie” she replied and I smiled.
“Thanks ma’am Karen it’s wonderful” Amaya said.
” thanks sweetie, glad you enjoyed it,I’ll leave you guys to enjoy yourself as Jason did” mum said leaving.
” Jeez! You’re as nice as your mum” Amaya said.
” Awwn thanks” I replied
We talked about a lot of things, and then laughed over it.
” Well Stella I have a good news” Olivia said
“Really? What?” I asked anxiously.
” I told miss Natalie about happened and he told me she’s ready to empower us and trust me. No offers taken Jeremy, you’re gonna make it without rock and roll” Olivia replied
” OMG!! And I was thinking of applying for a job” I replied
“No need for that anymore” Olivia said
“Wow Olivia thanks alot” I said
” I got your back best, but the most to Miss Natalie” she said
” Awww thank you” I said moving to hug her
” Anytime” she replied
We talked at length, joked, played games and had a lot of fun time together and time was already against us, Olivia and Amaya’s parents were already calling them so they left. Jace volunteered to drop them home. So it’s only I and Jeremy left.
We were outside enjoying the breeze if the night and also the beauty of the sky. We weren’t really talking. I wanted to bring up the case of him not seeing his mum days but changed my mind against it, I didn’t want to ruin his mood. Suddenly his grip on my hands tightened.
“Are you okay?” I asked filled with concern
“Something is really bothering me” he said
” And what could that be?” I asked
” I’ve had this in mind for so long, I don’t think I can keep it anymore” he replied
” Okay, I’m all ears ” I said
