I was in the kitchen washing the dishes.
” What’s is the meaning of this? I heard Nathaniel cold angry voice
I flinched.
I turned and met his angry face.
He threw a newspaper at me.
I gasped.
It is about me being Nathaniel wife.
With my pictures and kids pictures on it.
” What is the meaning of this? He yelled again pointing at the paper.
I looked at him and threw the paper on the floor.

” Can’t you talk? He yelled.
“I.. I don’t know anything about this” i said.
” You don’t know? How could you tell such a big lie” he yelled.
” I didn’t tell any lies” i half yelled.

I didn’t say anything.
“How could you tell the public that we are married only because my kids call you mum” he yelled.
I sighed.
” I didn’t tell anyone that we are married” i yelled back.
” You are such a big liar and a thief” he yelled.

” Yeah, a thief.. let’s me make something clear to you, no one can take Sara’s place in my heart. I know why you are doing all of this.. you just want me to love you and decided to make you my wife..you came here just because of money to take care of your life but you couldn’t ask me straight.. you need money to look after your poor family.. I didn’t let him finished his statement.
I slapped him hærd.
He looked at me shocked.
” You have said enough now you will listen you me” I said angrily.
Tears welled up in my eyes.
“You have no right say anything about my parents or me”
” I didn’t lie to the public that we are married, even I don’t want to take your wife’s place in your heart neither do I want your money nor do I want you to marry you… I don’t like you.. I hate you Nathaniel Raymond.. I hate you” I yelled.
He looked at me more shocked.
” Am only here to look after the kids.. am here to give them the motherly love and care that you deprived them of” i yelled.
” You are a liar” he said.
” Don’t you have human feelings? Don’t you care about anyone? Don’t you care about someone’s feelings? I asked.
” Yes, i don’t care about anyone the day Sara left me” he yelled.
“Do you think you are the only one who lost someone precious to you? Do you? I yelled.
” Yes, I am the only one” he yelled.
” Even I lost people precious to me, I lost my parents in a ghastly car accident and do you know when? I yelled in tears.

I looked at her shocked.
She already lost her parents?
” I lost my parents at the age of ten, I lost them when I was just ten years old” she yelled and broke down in tears.
I felt sorry for her.
” You lost your Sara three years ago and became ruthless ”
” What about me? do you know when I lost my parents? She yelled more tears gushed out of her eyes.
I was moved.
I really felt bad seeing her like this.
” It’s been fifteen years since I lost my precious mum and dad. Do you know how it feels to lose your parents as a tender age? She asked.
I looked at her speechless.
” Rose.. am..
She cleaned at tears.
” I lived in the orphanage for good five years.. no mother no father and no friends.. I was adopted by a couple who took care of me like their child but do you know what happened next? She said tears rolled down her cheeks.
” My foster mum started maltreating, she just hate me for no reason and what about dad? He tried to rape me” she said fresh tears gushed out of her eyes.
I gasped.
” Do you know the pain of being abuse? She asked.
” I only care about the kids.. i don’t want them to grow up without motherly love. I want to give them the parental love I couldn’t receive.. I don’t want them to feel the pain of losing a mother” she yelled in tears.
” But what did you do? She asked pointing a finger at me.
” You accused me wrongly.. you accused me of stealing and lying.. you don’t believe whatever I told you” she yelled.
” Rose I ..
” You call yourself a father but you don’t care about your own kids, it is all about you.. do you think Sara will be Happy with you? She asked.
“I accept whatever you accused me of.. in as much am here just to care for the kids. I will give them the motherly love they couldn’t receive and I will give them the fatherly love that you neglected them of” she said sternly trying to walk away.
I held her hand.
She looked at me.
” Rose.. I..
” I don’t want to speak to you but I hope one day you will understand me” she said and walked away.
I sighed.
I really felt sorry.

I got into my room and broke into more tears.
I wished I could move away from this house and stay away from Nathaniel’s accusations but what about the kids?
What will happen to them?
I think the best decision to to move away from this mansion.. I will try and get in touch with the kids.
If Nath really love and care about his children.
He will look for me.
I cleaned my tears and began packing my things in a bag.

I got into the room and sat down.
I really felt extremely sad.
I have been a bad person to her even when she was only trying to help me.
She lost her parents at a tender age but yet she still care about others.
She was maltreated and abuse but yet she still care about others.
She is a rare gem.
I tried to apologise to her but she wouldn’t hear me out.
I need to deal with her foster parents.
I picked up my phone and dial my private investigator.
” Jack.. I need you to get some information about rose Gilbert” I said sternly.
,” Yes boss” he said.
I couldn’t stop feeling bad.
I really hurt rose feelings.
If the kids find out they will never be happy with me.
I just hope she forgives me.
How about I go to her to her room?
Suddenly heavy breeze started blowing in my room.
I looked surprised.
I got out of the room but nothing is happening at the sitting room.
I got back to my room.
I saw the picture frame of Sara and i broken on the floor.
The breeze didn’t stop.
The pictures hanged on the wall all fell and shattered on the floor.
I gasped shocked.
The breeze stopped.
I looked around nothing fell down except the picture frames of Sara and I.
My picture frame didn’t break.
The breeze broke all the frame that consist of Sara.
What is happening?.
What did the pictures frame broke?
I stood there looking at the pictures shattered on the floor

🌷 Rose 🌷
I woke up this morning.
I will be leaving this house today. I will really miss the kids.
I looked at my packed bags. I sighed.
I got out of the room and went downstairs to prepare breakfast.
I finished preparing the breakfast.
I went into the kids room.
I met them still sleeping.
Such little beautiful Angels.
I woke them up.
” Good morning mum” Angel greeted.
I smiled. ” Good morning my Angel” i said.
” Good morning princess” I k-ssed Mabel forehead.
I looked at the both of them.
The thought of leaving them make me sad.
I hugged them tightly.
Tears rolled down my cheek.
I disengaged from the hugs and clean my cheek.
” Mum, what’s wrong? Angel asked.
” It’s nothing Angel” i said with a little smile.
” Did dad say something to you? She asked.
” It’s nothing like that my dear, let’s go take our bath and get ready for school” I said.
I got them ready for school.
” Mum, we want to say good morning to dad, please come with us” Angel said.
” No my dear, i need to serve your breakfast” I said.
” Okay mum, let’s go Mabel” she said.
They both walked into Nathaniel’s room.
I stared at his door.
I sighed.
I climbed down the stairs.

I was in my room getting ready for the office.
I haven’t apologize to rose yet for those words I said to her.
She is not even ready to hear me out.
I really felt bad.
There is no Sara’s pictures in my room anymore since the breeze broke the frame I had no choice but to throw them away .
I still can’t believe the breeze broke only Sara’s frame.
But why?
” Good morning Dad” i heard my children’s voice.
I smiled.
” How are you doing ” i asked.
They fully dressed for School.
” Fine dad” Angel said.
” We missed you dad” Mabel said.
I smiled.
” I missed you more” i said pecking their cheeks.
They laughed.
” Dad come let’s have breakfast together” Mabel said.
” Yes Dad.. mum has prepared our delicious breakfast” Angel said smiling.
I laughed.
” Okay, I will come with you” I said.
” Yeaahhh” they yelled happily.
I laughed.
I really missed them.
” Dad please sit down, let’s me brush your hair for you” Mabel said.
I looked at her.
” Yes dad, we will style your hair perfectly just for you” Angel said.
“Can you do it? I asked.
” Yes dad mum taught us” Angel beamed.
I smiled.
Rose really taught the children lots of things.
She gave them love and happiness once more.
My kids lives is filled with so much happiness.

” Please dad” Mabel pouted.
” Okay” i said and sat down.

I served the breakfast but what is keeping the kids from coming down?
They will be late for school.
Should I go check up on them in Nathaniel’s room?
No no.
I will just wait for them.
I sat down at the dinning waiting for them.
Minutes later I saw them walking to the dinning with Nathaniel.
They brought Nathaniel with them.
They got to the dinning and sat down.
” Good morning Rose” Nathaniel greeted.
” Good morning” i mumbled.
” Mum, look at Dad’s hair we styled it for him” Angel said.
I looked at his hair. It is nice though.
” Tell me how is it mum? Angel beamed looking at her dad’s hair.
” It is nice my dear, you really tried” i said.
” Thank you mum” Angel said.
” What kept you so long? I asked
” We are sorry mum” Angel said.
” Okay please have your breakfast” i said.
They started eating.
” Rose, I will also like to have my breakfast” Nathaniel said
I looked at him surprised.
I stood up and served him breakfast.
We all started eating.
I felt Nathaniel gaze on me.
I looked at him.
Our eyes met.
I looked at the kids.
I will really miss them.

She is really beautiful.
She looks like something Is bothering her.
She looked up.

She looked away and stared at the kids.
Tears welled up in her eyes while looking at them.
She smiled and cleaned her eyes.
” Why is she crying? I thought still looking at her.
She didn’t even spare me a glance.
She really hate me now.
They kids finished eating.
She stood up and took the dishes to the kitchen.
She cleared all the dishes to the kitchen.
” Now let’s go girls” she said.
” Mum please don’t worry yourself dad will drop off at school.. Right dad? Angel asked looking at me.
I looked at her.
” Angel..I..
” Dad please” Mabel pout.
” Okay I will” i said.
They smiled.
” Okay then I will drop your lunch in the car” rose said walking away.
I got out of the car.
Rose stood by the car.
We got to her.
She got squat to the kids level and hugged them tightly.
She shut her eyes.
Tears rolled down her cheek.
” What’s wrong with her? I thought.
She disengaged from the hug and cleaned her cheek.
” Take care of yourself okay?
She kids nodded their head.
She kssed their foreheads.
She kids smile.
” I will miss you” she said.
” We will miss you to mum but we will see you when we are back from school” Angel smiled.
She kssed their cheeks.
She opened the car and the kids got into it.
She looked at me.
” Take care of yourself Nathaniel Raymond” she said trying to walk away.
I held her hand and hugged her.
She gasped.
She tried to free from the hug but I hugged her more tightly.
” Am sorry” I said and disengaged from the hug.
She looked at me.
Fresh tears rolled down her cheek.
We stare at each other.
I cleaned the tears with my hands.
” Please don’t cry, am sorry” I said holding her cheeks.
She nodded her head and remove her hand from her cheeks.
” Please take care of yourself and the kids” she said walking away.
I looked at her till she got in,side.
I got into the car, the driver drove off.

I got into the sitting room.
Tears gushed out of my eyes.
I really do not wish to leave but there is nothing I can do.
No one can stopped me.
” Am sorry Angel” i said staring at her frame on the wall.
” Am sorry Mabel”
” I really do not wish to leave but your dad left me with no choice” i said in tears.
I moved to Nathaniel’s picture.
” I wish you will come look for me” i said.
I got into the kitchen and cleaned it up.
I got into Nathaniel’s room.
This will be my last time here.
I looked around but Sara pictures are no where to be found.
Did he threw them away?
I arranged his room neatly.
I got into the kids room and arranged it neatly.
I got into my room.
Took my bath and dressed up.
I still have money with me.
Mrs Raymond has been paying me like she said.
I took my phone I don’t make use of it much.
I ordered for a cab.
I took my bags.
I looked at my room.
Tears rolled down my cheeks.
I got out of the room and look around the house.
I got out of the mansion and stare at it.
” I really hope I will be back here” I said within me.
” Where are you going ma’am” one of guard at me.
” I want to see my parents” i said.
” Don’t worry mark, I won’t be going with car, a cab is waiting for me outside” i said talking to the driver.
I got out of the house
I looked at the gate one more time.
The cab is waiting for me.
I got into the cab.
The cab man drove off.
Tears gushed out of my eyes.
