Episode 21.

I got home and met mum at the sitting room.
She stood up immediately she sighted me.
I got to her front.
She $lapped me.
I looked at her shocked.
Mum had never raised her hand to slap me.
But today she did.
” Mum” I called.
” If you call me mum, I will slap you once more” she said angrily.
” What’s wrong? I asked.
” Where is rose? She asked.
” Mum, i already told you, she left” i said.
” Liar” she shouted.
” She left? Or you send her away? She asked.
” Mum, I didn’t sent her away” i said.
” Really? The girls told me what happened, how you said hurtful things to her, and how you made her cry and she left because of all what you did to her,she left because of you Nathan” she yelled.
I sighed.
” Am sorry mum”
” Sorry? She arched her brow.
” Will sorry bring rose back into this house? She asked.
” What’s is wrong with you Nathan, has Sara death blinded you that you don’t even care about people’s feeling anymore? It’s been three years since Sara’s death And i told you to forget about her but you wouldn’t listen to me. I brought rose here for the kids but you sent her away with your arrogant attitude” she said.
” Mum i will bring her back” i said.
” You better do because your kids are very angry and sad and it is all because of you” she said.
I sighed.
” Nathan am giving you 72hours, just 72hours to bring rose back into this house” she said.
” Mum..I..
” Grandma, grandma” i heard the kids voice running down the stairs.
They got to the sitting room.
They both looked at me then looked away.
They stood beside mum.
” Angel I..
” Dad I don’t want to talk to you ” she said.
” We will only talk to you when you bring mum back” Mabel said.
Mum looked at me.
I sighed.
I climbed up the stairs.
I got into my room.
Rose disappearance has really affected my family.
But how do I bring her back?
I got out of the room to the sitting room
No one is there.
Maybe grandma went out with the kids.
I poured wine into the glass cup.
I sat down.
Where could rose be?
I held the glass tightly that it broke.
The glass pierced my hand.
I don’t even care about it.
The pain am feeling now is not up the pain I caused rose.
Am really sorry rose.
” Nathan” mum called.
She gasped when she saw my bl.eeding hand.
” What happened? She asked
I just stared at her blankly.
” You are bleeding so much” she said.
” Don’t worry about it mum” i said
She walked away and came back with first aid.
She attended to hand and wrapped it up with bandage.
” I know you felt bad Nathan but you can’t stay here looking for her” she said sitting down beside me.
I placed my head on her shoulder.
” But where will I find her mum? I don’t even know anything about her” I said.
Tears welled up in my eyes
” It’s okay Nathan, you will surely find her” she said.

It’s been three days since rose disappearance.
I have no clue about where she is.
I have tried my best in looking for her but I won’t give up till I find her.
” Boss” Sam called.
I looked at him.
” Mr Alex will be arriving tommorow” he said.
Alex is my business partner.
We have business deals together.
” Okay, book a room for me in an hotel” I said.
” Yes boss” he nodded and went out
I picked my phone and called mum.
” Mum, I won’t be coming home today” i said.
” Why? She asked
” I have a very important meeting to attend” I said.
” Okay, take care of yourself” she said.
” My regards to the kids”
I hung up.
Sam came in.
” Boss, it is done” he said
” Okay” I said.
He nodded his head and left
I got out of my office.
I got into the car with my Personal assistant.
We drive off to the hotel.
We got Into the hotel.
I got into the room Sam booked for me.
I got in and sat on the bed.
Am still worried about rose.
Rose please where are you?
I pressed the intercom and order for a drink.
I need some wine.
Few minutes later.
I heard the door bell.
” Come in” i said without looking up.
The door opened,
I didn’t even bother to see who came in.
” Sir here is your….
I looked up
Our eyes met.
We looked at each other shocked.
The drinks in her fell.
She looked at me shocked
I stood up
” Rose..” i called.
Tears welled up In her eyes.
” Rose” i called moving to her.
She looked at me and ran out of the room.
” Rose” I called and ran after her.
She got outside.
I ran after her.
I held her hand.
She didn’t turn to look at me
” Rose” i called and moved to her front
She looked away.
Tears rolled down her cheeks
I held her cheeks and cleaned her tears.
” Rose am sorry” I said and hugged her tightly.
She cried on my shoulder.

I was able to get a job in an hotel.
We got an order and I decided to go deliver the order.
It is wine.
I got to the door and knocked
” Come in”
I entered.
” Sir, here is your..
I couldn’t finish my statement.
Our eyes met.
I looked at him at him shocked.
The drinks fell from my hands.
He looked at me shocked.
Nathaniel?
He stood up.
” Rose” he called shocked.
Tears welled up in my eyes.
” Rose” he called moving towards me.
I looked at him and ran out of the room.
” Rose” i heard him called running after me.
I got outside.
He held my hand from behind.
I didn’t turn to look at him.
” Rose” he called.
Tears rolled down my cheeks.
He came to my front but I looked away.
He held my cheeks and cleaned my tears.
I looked at him.
” Rose, am sorry” he said and hugged me tightly
I cried on his shoulder.
We disengaged from the hug.
We stare at each other.
” Am sorry please forgive me” he said cleaning my tears.
” Will you please forgive me? He asked.
I smiled and nodded my head.
” I know I have hurt you a lot but I have realized my mistakes” he said holding my cheek.
I looked at him.
” I.. I ..have forgiven you” i said.
” Please rose, will you come home with me now? He asked.
” I..i..I
” Don’t say no please, mum is very angry with me, even the kids refuse to speak to me, until I bring you back home” he said.
I looked at him.
” Please rose” he pleaded.
I smiled.
” I will go home with you” i said.
” Really? He beamed
I nodded my head
He held my hand.
” Please rose, promise me you won’t ever leave me and the kids ever again” he said looking into my eyes.
I smiled.
” I promise” i said.
He kssed my hand.
I looked at him surprised.
” Nath..
” I missed you rose” he said and hugged me.
People are watching.
I tried to free from the hug but he held me tightly.

” I know people are watching but I don’t care” he said kssing my hair.
I smiled.
I hugged him back tightly
” I missed you too” i said.
We broke the hug.
He smiled.
I also smiled back at him.
” Isn’t that Nathaniel Raymond? We heard.
I turned.
People are gathered.
I gasped.
” Who is she?
” Isn’t she the same woman at the kids school?
” What are they doing?
” Are they really married?
People took their phone taking pictures.
I hide my face in his chest.
He laughed.
” Come on let’s go” he said holding my hand.
I looked at him.
He winked.
I smiled.
We got to the car.
The driver opened the door.
We got in.
He brought out his phone from his pocket.
” Sam, cancel the meeting, i won’t be available anymore” he said.
” And also go to my room and bring my things, am heading back home” he said and hung up.
I looked at him.
” You are here for a meeting? I asked.
” Yes”
” Then why did you cancelled it? I asked.
” Because I found you. You are more important than any meeting” he said with a smile.
” Nathan.. I need to get my things” I said.
” You don’t need to worry about it” he said.
” Take us home” he said.
The driver drove off.
He placed my head on his shoulder.
I smiled.
He laughed.
We finally got home.
We got out from the car.
I looked at the Mansion.
I really missed it.
I really missed the kids.

I got In and met the kids in the sitting room.
” Angel” i called.
She looked at me then looked away.
I smiled.
” Where is mum? Mabel asked.
” Unless you bring mum home before we can talk to you” Mabel said.
” Where is mum? Angel yelled.
” Am here” rose said walking in.
I turned and smile.
” Mum? Mabel called and ran to her.
She squat to her level and hugged her tightly.
Angel only stood staring at them.
Tear dropped from rose eyes.
” Am sorry princess” rose said.
She broke the hug.
And kssed her forehead.
” I missed you mum” Mabel said.
” I missed you too princess” she said
She stood up and walked towards Angel.
” Angel” she called.
She looked away.
Tears welled in her eyes.
” Am sorry Angel” she said squatting to her level.
She looked at her rose.
And hugged her tightly.
” I missed you mum” she said tear rolled down her cheeks.
” I missed you too Angel” she said.
Angel broke the hug.
” Mum i know dad made you leave ” she said.
Rose looked at me
Angel cleaned rose cheeks.
I smiled.
” promise me mum that you won’t ever leave us again” Angel said.
Rose took her hand.
” I promise, I won’t ever leave you again” she said.
Angel smiled.
She moved to me.
” Dad, now I will talk to you” she said.
I laughed.
” I missed you dad” Angel said.
” I missed you too” I said .
” We have forgiven you dad” Mabel said.
” Thank you for bringing mum back” Angel said.
I looked at rose and winked.
She smiled.
” Rose? Mum called coming down the stairs.
Rose looked at her and walked to mum.
They hugged each other.
I smiled.
They broke the hug.
” Don’t you ever leave again my dear” mum said.
She nodded her head.
” Yes mum”.
Mum smiled.
” Now I think I have to leave” mum said.
” Why? Rose asked.
” Am only here for the kids but since you are here.. I have to leave” mum said.
” Why don’t you stay for a while mum? Rose asked.
” No my dear” she said.
Mum kssed her cheeks.
And climbed the stairs.
” Now we are complete” Angel yelled smiling.
I laughed.
” Now let’s go have some fun” Mabel yelled smiling.
Rose laughed.
Mum came down with her bag.
” we will miss you Grandma” angel said.
Mum smiled.
” I will miss you more” mum said kssing their cheeks.
She looked at me.
I hugged her.
” Thank you mum” i said.
” Don’t let her go” mum whispered into my ear.
I smiled and winked at rose.
Her cheeks flushed.
We broke the hug.

Mum hugged me.
” Make sure you take proper care of my grandchildren” she said.
I smiled.
” And also look after my son” she whispered.
I broke the hug.
I looked at her.
” You should know what am talking about” she winked.
I laughed.
” Mum?
” Bye” she said walking out.
I smiled.
” Now let’s go have so much fun” Mabel yelled climbing up the stairs.
Angel followed.
” Where are you girls going? I asked.
” To change our dressed” Angel yelled.
I smiled.
” Nathan.
” Rose..” we called simultaneously.
He smiled.
” You go ahead” he said.
” No.. you should talk” i said.
” No..ladies first” he smiled.
” Uhnmm..the thing is I don’t have what to wear” I said.
He smiled.
” Don’t worry, go into your room” he said.
” Why? I arched my brow.
” Just go in” he said.
” Okay”
I climbed the stairs and got into my room.
I saw a beautiful package on the bed.
I opened it and gasped.
It is a beautiful gown coupled with a heel.
I looked up and saw Nathaniel standing by the door.
He smiled coming in,side.
” You got this? I asked.
” Yes I did”
” But when and how? I arched my brow.
” Don’t worry about it” he winked.
I smiled.
” But how sure are you that it is my size? I asked.
” Am very sure, why don’t you put in on” he said.
I looked at him.
” Just put it on.. I will be waiting for you outside” he said walking out.
I smiled.
