♦️ Richærd’s POV

My eyes got w-t and I blinked it rapidly to push the tears back.

I was really drained as I watched the poor girl staring at nothing.

” She is your daughter you were talking about right? ” I asked in a whisper with my gaze still fixed on the girl.

The more our eyes kept locking together, the more I feels like shedding tears, the more my heart bleeds.

She was looking at me but I was sure she isn’t seeing me because her eyeball were stable, not moving.

” The person that come to see me.. Is it a boy or girl ? ” She asked and I felt my heart becoming more heavy.

She was really blind.

I took a deep breath and walked closer to her squatting in front of her.

I held her palm and squeezed it softly making her grimaced.

” I’m a man, my name is Richærd..so sorry for your plights, I’m so pained to see a beautiful lady in this condition ” I breathed feeling so disturbed wishing she would just tell me that she can see me.

“Thank you for your concern but..I’m surprised hearing you say I’m beautiful, is that some word of hope?..you are just trying to make me feel less pained right? ” She sighed and I shook my head.

” I have always told her she is really beautiful but she wouldn’t want to believe that, just wish she would one day get to see her reflection ” I heard her mother say.

I inhaled and exhaled heavily glancing at both mother and daughter.

The room was snug and had nothing in it, only a small sized bed and their bags.

” You must be hungry… I have some snacks, you would take it for now, I would still go and get something more edible for you” I cooed and she smiled.

Wow!

She looked more beautiful with that smile on her face.

” Did I just smiled ? ” She asked expressing shock with the smile vanishing again.

” Yes..what about it? ” I asked..

” It has been very long she smiled.” Her mother ch¡pped in.

“Really? ” I said and she shrugged

” Why should I even smile when I’m useless..your name is Richærd right? ” She queried

” Yes dear ” I replied looking at her eyes which were on me.

” Try closing your eyes for one hour and tell me how it is..tell me how it was having darkness all around you for many years ” She sobbed making me moved with pity.

” I’m so sorry ” I said not knowing what to say to this pained girl.

There was no doubt she had no hope for the future.

” Please help me to see, even if it is for a minute please ” She cried and my heart was pierced.

Tears fell from my eyes. I felt really moved that I nearly cried out loudly.

” You have to eat something..What is your name? ” I asked with my l-ips quivering..

Oh yeah, I’m an emotional type of person, I find it hærd controlling my emotions…

” Don’t you think it is useless feeding me?” She said and took a deep breath.

” Well, you have to stay alive… Who knows one day, you would see ” I said breathing heavily.

” Okay, bring the snacks ” She said and I jumped to my feet, with the speed of lightening, I ran to my car and took all the crunches there.

Her mother was just watching me with a confused look..

I guess she is finding it hærd to understand why I was this concerned..

I don’t really know why..but I think it is pity.

Yes, I am just feeling pity for her.

I brought the snacks and sat down on the bench beside her.

” Let me feed her..you are doing way too much ” Her mum said but I just smiled.

” Allow me do it myself please ” I said not knowing the reason why I even wants to feed her, not like I had known her before.

” Are you the one feeding me? ” She asked and I smiled.

” Open your mouth ” I said and she arched her brow before opening it reluctantly.

I put it in and she smiled.

” You are acting like a boyfriend” she said amidst smiles.

” I don’t mind, your condition is really hurting me ” I said and she giggled.

” You are making me happy, I don’t know why, the way you are sitting closely with me is really funny, don’t you think you are doing a mistake??” She said and I shrugged.

” Stop talking and open your mouth ” I coaxed and she breathed.

I put another piece and made to bring out another one when my phone rang.

I checked it and flinched seeing it was my girlfriend.

” Ohh, I need to go now ” I said with a smile.

” Thanks you so much ” they both said in unison.

” It is a pleasure,, as for you keep smiling…it makes you look more stunning ” I said to the blind girl.

” I can only smile if you are around ” she said and I felt myself being happy for what she said.

” What is your name? ” I asked.

” Sophia ” She replied..

” Okay… I’ll come over some other time, take this and manage till I come again ” I said giving her mother a bundle of money before dashing out.

It has been long my girlfriend was calling up to three missed call now.

📱 Hello ” I said as I accepted the call.

📱Where are you?, don’t miss road or enter into the hand of hoodlums, let me come and pick you” she said

📱 Okay come to ” I looked around.

Gosh!

I don’t even know where I am exactly.

📱I’ll call you back, let me ask of my current location ” I said and hung the call

I made to rush back to the blind girl, at least to ask her mum of the very name of where I am but I later shook my head in disapproval.

I won’t be able to leave there If I should dare to go back and see her.

I looked around and saw a little boy who had only a short on.

” Hey, where is this place called? ” I asked and he stared at me with a surprised look.

” You don’t look like someone who lived in this place, it seem like you are a foreigner ” He said and I smiled.

“My name is pri… Richærd ”

Oh gosh!

I nearly told him my little secret.

I am the Prince here but I want it to be kept as a secret, I don’t just need everyone respecting me like I am god.

Let me make a little introduction about myself..

I’m Richærdthe only son of my father, I had lived almost all my life in the state, I just came here to stay for some period with my girlfriend before travelling back with her.

I don’t want people to even know I am the prince till I come to rule the land..

” Where are you going to? I can direct you there ” the little boy says but I shook my head

“Just tell me where this place is called ” I said and he told me .

I gave him a token of money before calling my girlfriend.

I told her the location and she flinched at it.

📱 How could you be in such a place, that part of the village are for the misfortune and poverty stricken people. Gosh! I hope none of them ever touched you? ” she scoffed and I smiled remembering that I did not only touched someone here, I also fed her.

📱 Just come and pick me, I’m very tired ” I said and she huffed..

” I had wanted to come and pick you, but I can’t go to that place, they all disgusts me. I will send the guard to come and pick you ” she said and hung the call..

I took a deep breath and glanced at that old house once more, the house where Sophia lives, the house of the blind girl who had really affect me.

I felt like taking her home, I felt like being with her every second, I don’t want to leave, it seems like I wouldn’t get the chance to come back here again.

I sat on my bonnet with my gaze still on that building.

There is no doubt Sophia needs someone to love her, she needed someone to make her feel happy and that person is me but I can’t be with her now..

Not long after, the guard came and I was driven home.

🎤Sophia’s POV

The smile on my face vanished the moment he left, he was leaving and I felt my heart getting back to its former condition, the condition of pain and anguish, wishing to die.

” Why is your face growing pale? ” My mum asked and I sighed and lay on the bed.

” Do you know who that man is?” I asked

” No, he is a stranger who took interest in my pathetic condition and decided to help the little way he can ” She replied and I breathed.

” Would he come again?” I asked

“I don’t know, he said he would come but I don’t think so, he would later get to know about us and would definitely stay away from us like other people” she answered and sat on the bed

Her word made me drained me

I just wish he doesn’t leave us, I can’t wait to hear his voice, I want him to seat beside me like he just did today, I want him to feed me again.

I can’t tell why I want him, but I just feel good with him around me.

” Start eating ” My mother said as she fed me with the snacks

I just wished it was him feeding me again.

Richærd.

I can never forget that name, even if he doesn’t come again, the name would never leave my memory, even his voice would also be in my memory.

♦️ Richærd’s POV

I had just finished meeting my parent and was going back to my own house with Claire my girlfriend who wouldn’t just stop talking, she is never tired of talking but less did she knew that my mind was very far away from anything she was saying.

I was thinking about the blind girl, it pains me that I couldn’t stay with her.

” You seem to be thinking about something else why I talk to myself ” I heard Claire’s voice.

” I wasn’t thinking about anything, keep talking ” I said with a stupid smile making her gawp at me.

“Just make sure you aren’t thinking of another woman” she said and I laughed

She just said it right..

I’m thinking about another woman and the woman is Sophia the blind girl I just met.

” Do you know of any blind girl in this place ? ” I asked and she sneered at me..

” What do you have to do with the blind ” She asked suspiciously

” There is a girl named Sophia I met her on my way here, she is a blind girl, I really felt pity for her ” I said not knowing I was making a great mistake, a mistake that would cost a lot.

She stared at me for some moment and suddenly went silent.

I shrugged and kept on riding.

We finally reached and she alighted..

” You don’t seem okay? ” I asked

” I need to use the restroom, I would be back ” She said and dashed in.

🖤Claire’s POV

” He met her ” I said to the person I just called on phone.

📱 What!!!!!.. how? ”

📱 He told me he met her while coming down here, what are we gonna do now? ” I asked confusedly.

📱Leave it for me…the blind girl and her mother would experience the greatest pain from tomorrow and just make sure he doesn’t go near that slum ” The voice said

📱Okay ma,, he doesn’t even know the route, I would make sure he doesn’t find his way there ” I said with a sigh.

📱Okay, I will inform you on any new development ” I said

📱 Thank you ” I breathed and hung the call.

He must not meet that blind girl again.

🏵️Stella’s POV

How did prince Richærd see that blind girl, what had made him go to that slub. I can’t let him see that girl again, thanks for that information Claire gave me, I will now have to plan very well on how to stop them from meeting again.

🖤Claire’s POV

I came back and sat back on my chair opposite Richærd who was on call with his friend. I had to put a fake smile on my face, I was glad I called the King’s sister and told her.

I can’t really tell if I love Richærd but he’s has been my childhood friend and lover before he left for USA.

Am feeling jealous deep in,side my heart cause its looks Like he likes her at first sight with the way he’s talking.

Prince Richærd finished making the call and he cleared his throat.

” What took you so long? ” victor asked me and I felt like slapping him for asking such nonentity question.

How could he ask me such a question? I titled my eyes

Elsewhere, he’s expecting me to be alright when its seems he likes another lady.

” Claire I am talking to you, what’s wrong with you? ” Richærd asked obviously getting upset at her behavior.

He just prayed he would be able to cope with her when he get married to her, she’s becoming so…….he didn’t even know a perfect name to give her.

” What do you want me to say, must you get every hint of what I do, please don’t bother me ” I said hissing loudly.

” Really are you the one saying this ” Richærd said obviously upset at her stupid behavior.

He tolerated the behavior before going to the states but he’s not so sure he could tolerate such behavior of hers again.

” Nope am not talking to you but your twin shadow, I don’t know what am still doing here talking to you ” I said angrily, walking out on him.

I could hear him shout my name but I don’t come back once I walk out on someone whether it’s my parent or anyone.

I expected him to run and beg me like he always does but he did none of this.

♦️Richærd’s POV

How dare she walk out on me while I’m still talking to her beside I didn’t ask a bad question that could make her react this way.

I walked out angrily as I entered my car slamming my car door, she just succeeded in getting me upset.

I would never come back here to see her again cause I don’t think I would love to be embarrassed again like this.

I had to just control my anger so I can Concentrate while driving, I was still driving when that blind beauty smile came into my memory.

She’s such a beautiful girl despite she’s blind, her beauty is so stunning and her eyes posses a special charms even if she can’t see.

Her l-ips were one in town and I felt pity in my heart again.

I just couldn’t understand why such a great beauty could be blind, she’s just too beautiful to be blind. I could remember the sorrows in her voice and that made my heart bleed so badly.

I wish to see her again everyday and I love the way she talks.

She talks with such great wisdom that am sure listening to her would be better than listening to that my chatterbox proud girlfriend of mine.

Comparing both of them together shows that the blind girl is better than Claire in everything both knowledge and wisdom.
Am sure I’m gonna help her, I need to help her.
