I walked into the house and I saw Isaac laughing. I heard everything Diana told him, and I knew if I didn’t tell him myself he would never believe it.

“She is right Issac. You are my son.” I said and they both looked at me.

He laughed and then stopped trying to catch his breath.

“Guys trust me, I know you are trying to cheer me up about my parents. It’s actually working, so let’s stop all these okay? You won, I finally laughed.” He said and I walked closer to him.

“I would never joke about this to you. It’s the truth.” I said and his smile changed to a confused face.

“Diana what’s going on? I said I am okay now, so tell her to back off. You won okay?” He said laughing again and Diana stood up.

“Isaac I know this is ha-rd. But it is what it is.” She said. I wanted to talk but when I saw him raise up his hand I paused.

“Okay, what is this all about again?” He asked looking serious now.

“I am your mother…” I said and he cut me off.

“Don’t Bullshit me!!!!” He yelled and we both shivered in
fear.

“Isaac.” Diana called.

“Don’t! What are you trying to do? Manipulate me? Diana my parents has been dear for 20 years!” He yelled and I shook my head.

“Not your parents, just one of them truly died. I am your mother, and that mark on your bo-dy, I have the same.” I said p-ulling down my blouse to show him.

“Okay I have had enough! Get out!” He said and I was so shocked.

“Isaac please. Why can’t you see she is saying the truth? Why don’t you believe?” Diana asked.

“That the woman that popped out of nowhere is my mother that has been dead to me for more than 20 years? That Enoch, that I have always hated is my brother? That my girlfriend’s mother is the cause of my miserable life on the street! Eating trash, slee-ping in the sun and rain for 20 tears! No I don’t believe!” He yelled with tears in his eyes.

“Isaac I swear I didn’t abandon you. I searched everywhere for you, after Caroline took you away from me, I looked everywhere but I couldn’t find you.” I said in tears.

“So you gave up?” He asked and I shook my head.

“I never did.” I said walking close to him.

“Don’t you dare! I don’t believe any of these. The Paper works or the marks.” He said throwing the paper away.

“If you don’t believe them, what about the connection we felt when we first met?” I asked and he couldn’t say anything.

“Isaac she didn’t mean to.” Diana said in tears.

“She didn’t mean to but your mother did!” He yelled and Diana gasped breaking into more tears. She didn’t see that coming,neither did i.

“Go away. My mother would remain dead to me.” He said turning his back.

“Isaac you said you have never felt the love of a Mother, I am ready to make that happen, to make everything right, if you give me the chance.” I said and he looked at me.

“That would never happen! I have survived 20 miserable years of my life without parents. Thinking they were dead, and then after I am beginning to be who I am and be with who I love you come out of nowhere claiming I am your lost son?? Doesn’t that sound crazy to you?” He asked in tears.

I knew he was angry and full of rage, and I could do nothing about it.

“Go.” He said walking away.

“Issac.” Diana called and he rose up his hand shunning her.

“Go with her too! I don’t want to see anyone! I want be left alone!” He yelled ran to one of the rooms and slammed the door against our faces.

“I knew this would happen, I knew.” Diana said falling into the couch in tears.

“Diana he doesn’t hate you. It’s your mom.” I said and she looked at me.

“Don’t you get it? Anytime he sees me, it will always remind him of my evil mother. I knew this would affect us, we shouldn’t have told him anything.” She said and I shook my head.

“Of course we should have! Diana I have weeping and grieved over my lost son for years! Now he is here and I won’t tell him the truth because of you? That’s selfishness Diana.” I said feeling angry and hurt.

“I am sorry Danielle. I just don’t know what to do. If Isaac breaks up with me, I would die. I won’t survive it.” She said and I nodded.

“I un-derstand, and I think I know what to do.” I said and she looked at me.

“Anything. Anything that would make him not to hate me.” She said standing up.

“We nee-d Caroline to talk to him.” I said.

“What? That’s a disaster.” She said and I shook my head.

“It’s not, it’s a distraction. Isaac can’t hate you if Caroline is there for him to hate. It would make him un-derstand that you know nothing about all this.” I said and she nodded.

“Okay,I will talk to her. She nee-ds to apologise.” She said grabbing her phone.

“No not yet. Isaac nee-ds time to digest the whole story. And I should be the one to talk to Caroline, I am the mother here.” I said.

“But I can’t just stay here and do nothing.” She said and I nodded.

“You are doing something. You are helping me break this news to Enoch. I would take care of your mother and your mom.” I said and she nodded rapidly.

Mrs Danielle took off to Caroline’s house and I stood up from where I sat walking to the room where Issac entered.

“Isaac.” I called placing my ear on the door, and I could hear him sobbing.

“Isaac I nee-d to go out now. Trust me, it’s for the best. I will be back soon, so you have the house to yourself for now. But trust me once I am back and you aren’t out, i would for-ce my entry into this room.” I said and waited for his response but I got nothing.

So I walked out of the house heading to Danielle’s house. I couldn’t stop thinking of how I was going to place it in front of Enoch.

I would just have to say it to him, I just hope he doesn’t flare up.

I kept walking down the street thinking ha-rd and I didn’t know when I got to Danielle’s house.

I pressed the door bell waiting for a response but I got nothing too.

“Did Enoch find out and then leave the house?” I asked myself fearfully.

I was about pressing the door bell again when I noticed the gate wasn’t actually locked. I opened the door slowly peeping in to see if everything was okay.

The place was awkwardly silent, so I wasn’t comfortable.
I decided to walk into the compound to find out what was really going on.

“Enoch.” I called but all I could hear was the sound of the calm breeze blowing.

I walked rapidly to the door and opened it to also see it Wasn’t locked.

“Enoch?” I called walking into the living room, I looked around me briefly but I couldn’t see traces of anyone.

“What is going on?” I asked myself. I sighed and wanted to go back when I heard a gl@$$ crash startling me.

“Enoch?” I called walking to the direction the noise came from. I got closer and I saw Enoch laying on the ground with alcohol next to him.

He recked of Alcohol.

“Enoch.” I called running to him.

“Hey Diana.” I said trying to stand but he fell to the ground again.

“Enoch what happened? Why are you drinking?” I asked kneeling in front of him.

“I overheard.” He said and I sighed hu-gging him.

“You know already.” I said and he nodded against my shoulders.

“The Dna test. Is it true?” He asked and I nodded.

“It’s positive. Issac is your elder brother Enoch.” I said and he began to Shed tears on my cloth.

“I have always wanted a brother Diana. But now what I have always wanted, happens to be the one I have always hated.” He said in tears.

“You don’t have to cry Enoch. It’s shocking to everyone too especially Isaac himself.” I said and he dise-ngaged looking at me.

“Diana I have done many things to hurt him. He would never forgive me.” He said and I shook my head.

“You are wrong Enoch. Isaac is not that kind of person. He always forgives ” I said.

“How is he now?” He asked cleaning his tears.

“Still broken, he locked himself up and has been crying, he doesn’t want to talk to anyone. Not even me, considering the fact that my mother is the cause of all this.” I said and he shook his head.

“It’s not about you Diana. He just nee-ds time to process it, he loves you,I know it cos he has proven that to me. You don’t have to worry.” He said and I was surprised.

“And you?” I asked and he bowed his head.

“I won’t be surprised if he doesn’t accept me. I don’t expect his forgiveness anytime soon.” He said.

“You really want to catch up with him as your brother right?” I asked and he nodded.

“When I overheard you and mother, I sat down and began to think about all the things Isaac has p@$$ed through. I mocked him saying he is nothing whereas he is my brother. He isn’t poor as I thought he was. Life was just unfair to him.” He said and tears rolled down my eyes.

“I am so happy you see it that way.” I said.

“I feel guilty for been a d**k to him, and I am ready to make this right. I would go with you to the house.” He said.

“And what if he turns you down?” I asked.

“Then I will keep trying till he accepts me. You may think I am think mean and wicked, but it’s all a lie. I acted that way because I felt lonely and left out. Mother didn’t have my time since she met with Isaac.” He said and I felt Sorry for him.

“I am sorry Enoch.” I said and he shook his head.

“You shouldn’t be sorry for me, I deserve every bad thing. You should be sorry for Isaac, he is the one that nee-ds it.” He said finally getting to stand right.

“Let’s go then.” I said and he nodded.
