The teacher stood up called walked towards the students.
“My dear Kylie, would you help me distribute this script to your classmate?” She said.

Kylie dropped her pen and walked towards the teacher.
She collected the scripts and shared them.
She had the chance to see what everyone scored.
Including Chris!

She saw her script and saw that she scored the highest mark. Ninety four over hundred.

“Those who scored below average are to be in detention starting from on Monday. Failure to do so, you’ll be on suspension. Have a nice time. Kylie dear, you did a good job. Keep it up”

Kylie smiled at the teacher and stared at her script.
Immediately the teacher left, everyone gathered to Kylie’s seat.

“Kylie, what’s your score?” Chris asked.

“Why do you want to know about that?” She asked.

“Just tell me. I didn’t score below average so I’m safe from detention” Chris boasted.

“Wow, I’m proud of you. I have to go to the bathroom now. Excuse me” she said and left.

Everyone sighted her script on the table and gasped.

“Ninety four? I’m sure she cheated” Madison said.

“It’s impossible to cheat in English language. So keep quiet. You are just jealous” Lilly said and hissed.

Jackson smiled and stared at his own script.
“I got a ninety” he thought.

He grabbed his bag and left the classroom.
Madison wished to follow him but she was thinking about her detention.

Cindy was lucky to get a fifty while Lilly scored seventy three.

Jackson caught Kylie’s hand as she stepped out of the bathroom and pulled her.

“Where are you taking me to?” She asked as she went after him.

Jackson didn’t reply to her questions. He took her to the storehouse and closed the door.
He leaned Kylie on the door and stood opposite her.

Kylie stared at him and diverted her gaze.
“Why did you bring me her?’ she asked.

“I don’t know. I just want to be close to you now. Let’s practice for tomorrow night” he said and placed her left hand on his shoulder and held her right hand.

He swayed her to the right and to the left.
Kylie left him and wanted to go out but Jackson caught her hand before she left and pulled her to himself.

He held her w–st and drew his closer to hers.
“I wish to k×ss you but I’m sure you’ll tell your mom” he said almost in a whisper.

Kylie frowned.
“What do you mean by that?” She slapped his arm.

“I know you tell your mom everything that happen in school and if I…”

Kylie squeezed her face.
“How do you know that?” She asked.

Jackson diverted his gaze.
“It doesn’t matter. Why do you care or do you want me to k×ss you?” He asked.

Kylie blinked repeatedly.
“I.. just let go of me Jackson” she beat his hands off.

Jackson pulled her again and pushed his l-ips to hers. Kylie shot her eyes wide open as Jackson k×ssed her passionately.

She pushed him away from her and started panting hærd.
“Why did you k×ss me?” She asked almost yelling.

Jackson smirked.
“Why? Is this your first k×ss?” He asked.

“Jerk!” She said and left the store house.

Jackson smiled and s×¢ked his l-ips.
He couldn’t believe he finally k×ssed her.

Kylie walked to her locker and threw her bag into the locker.
As she closed the door, she saw Lilly and Cindy staring at her.

“What happened at the store room?” Lilly asked winking at her.

Kylie folded her arms and stared at them.
“What store room?” She asked.

“Oh, you don’t need to pretend. We saw you both and I think something happened” Cindy added.

Kylie shook her head.
“I’m not sure I understand what you guys are talking about” Kylie tried to deny it but she doesn’t know that Cindy actually heard what they’ve been talking about.

“Fine. It’s okay. I’m leaving school now. I need to get my hair cut. Tomorrow is prom and I don’t want to miss it”

“Yeah, you are supposed to go for your check up today. Why didn’t you go Lilly?” Kylie asked.

“Um, my doctor is sick and I couldn’t go because the doctor that supposed to doctor me is being doctored by another doctor” Lilly explained.

Kylie shook her head.
“Nice one Lilly, nice one. I also need to leave now. I should go fix my hair”

“Nice. Let’s all go together” Lilly suggested.

“Sure, let’s go” Kylie said and they sneaked out of the school.

Kylie spent the whole Friday getting ready for prom. She didn’t know what to do if Blake comes to pick her up or what if Jackson comes.

She threw her gown on the bed and picked her phone. She remembered how Jackson k×ssed her. A smile crept on her face.

“I wondered why he k×ssed me” she murmured.

She got a call from Lilly. She picked it and placed it on her ear.
“Hey Lilly”

“Where are you Kylie?” She asked, it has started already.

“I’ll be there soon. Just dressing up” Kylie lied.

Lilly sighed.
“Fine, but don’t wait up for anyone. Just come here immediately” she said.

“Sure, is Jackson there already?” She asked.

“Oh, look who’s asking of Jackson. Well, he isn’t here. Blake isn’t here either” she replied.

“Sure. Bye!” Kylie said and disconnected the call.

Lilly stared at the phone and saw that Kylie had hung up.
“That’s rude” she frowned.

Kylie quickly wore her gown and stare at her reflection in the mirror.

Sarah entered the room and did the finishing touch.
“That’s my Kylie. You are all done”

“Not yet mom. I can’t wear take off this necklace. I need to wear the one you bought for me” she said.

Sarah stepped back a little. There was no way she could take off the necklace. If she does, Kylie may expose herself in one way or the other.

“Mom?” Kylie snapped Sarah back to reality.

“I don’t think it’s necessary to wear that necklace. This one looks good on you” Sarah said with a weird look on her face.

Kylie stood up from the makeup chair and stared at her mother.
“I’ve been wearing this shit for almost eighteen years. I’m tired of it. Infact, I’m gonna cut it right now”

Kylie grabbed a pair of scissors and tried to cut it but the scissors broke into two and fell on the floor.

Kylie stared at the broken pieces and back at her mother.
“What just happened?” She asked.

Sarah doesn’t know what to say. She just had to do it herself to prevent any questions.

“Fine, I’ll take it off your neck. Have a seat”

Kylie slowly sat still thinking about the scissors.

Sarah unhooked the necklace and kept it in her pocket.

She took the silver necklace and wore it around her neck.
“Now, you look beautiful” Sarah said.

Kylie smiled but she was still thinking about the scissors.

“That’s the doorbell. I’ll go check who” Sarah said as went out of the room.

“Oh my gosh, thank goodness nothing serious happened” she said and went to the door.

Kylie arranged her hair and grabbed her shoulder purse.
She kept on staring at the mirror.

“Kylie, two handsome guys are here to pick you up” she heard her mother’s voice.

“Two? Wait, Jackson and Blake?!” She asked and quickly ran downstairs.

She saw Blake and Jackson standing in her sitting room.

“Wow Kylie, you look beautiful” Blake commented.

Jackson only winked at Kylie. She lowered he gaze and blushed a little.

“I told you I haven’t accepted your date Blake” she said.

“Wait, so did you accept his? I’m a senior” Blake said.

“That’s why I’m going with you to prom” she said to Blake.

She walked towards Jackson and stared at him.
“I’m sorry Jackson”

She wrapped her arms around his neck and whispered into his ears.
“I’ll see you there baby” she said and bite his ear.
Kylie unwrapped her arms around his neck and stared at her mother.

“I’ll be back mom” she said and went with Blake.

Jackson stared at Sarah and waved at her.
“Bye ma’am” he said and left.

“Bye cutie” Sarah said and locked the door.
She couldn’t believe that two cute guys would fight over her daughter.

Kylie got into Blake’s car and drove to school with him.
The car was silent.

Blake stole glances from Kylie countless number of times.
Kylie noticed it and rolled her eyes.

“I think it would be better if you concentrate on the road than for you to stare at me” Kylie said with annoyance in her voice.

“Yes my lady. I just can’t take my eyes off you. You are so beautiful” she said.

“Fine, thanks a lot” Kylie replied.
For some reason, she regretted following him.

She turned back and saw Jackson driving alone.

“I wish the car could just break down so that I could follow Jackson” she wished.

Suddenly, the car stopped moving.
Blake tried starting it but it couldn’t work.

“What happened to the car?” She asked.

“I don’t know. It doesn’t have any fault. I don’t know why it broke down” he replied.

“Whatever” Kylie took her bag and opened the door.

“Wait, where are you heading to?” He asked.

“I need to go already. I can’t wait any longer” she said and alighted from the car.

“But It will start soon” he said before she left.

“Then drive yourself” she said and walked away from him.

Jackson pulled over in front of Kylie.
He alighted from the car and opened the passenger seat for her.

“Get in my lady” he said.

Kylie smiled and entered into the car.
“Thanks Jackson” she said and got in.

Blake stared at them angrily.
Jackson winked at him and shut the door.

He got into the car and drove off.

Kylie stared at Jackson and looked away.

“I wonder what happened to the car” he said.

“Yeah, I wish it work out for him” she said and stared at the empty road.

Blake started the engine and the car started.
