EXCLUSIVELY ON DREAME

Kylie dropped her hands and turned to stare at the men. They stood up and ran away quickly without waiting any second.

“Why did you stop me? Who are you?” She asked the man.

He walked towards Kylie and wore a jacket over her shoulder.
“You must be cold” he said.

She held the jacket tight to herself, breathing hærd. She stared at her hands again and recollected everything that happened.
“I really have my powers now” she murmured.

“Who are you young girl?” The man asked as they both sat together on a fallen tree that was filled with snow.

“I’m not sure I can talk to you. How am I sure if you’re not one of those vampires” she said and rolled her eyes.

“If I’m a wicked vampire, I would have drained your blood because your scent is so appealing but I don’t know why I can’t” he said.

Kylie raised her head and stared at him. She knew he was telling the truth with the look in his eyes.

“But you are a vampire” she said.

“Yes, I am. Enough of me, now tell me. What are you doing here alone in the forest?” He asked.

“I ran away from the witches. Seem like I’m not welcomed there”

“I know the coven very well. They seem nice to me, you just have to know them better and blend in. Listening to you, you must be a witch”

Kylie gave a wry laugh and stared at the man.
“No I’m not. Trust me, I don’t even know what I am” she said.

The man smirked.
“The snow is getting worse. We are going to freeze out here if we stay too long” he stood up and walked away from Kylie.

“Where are you headed to?”

“I don’t know. Anywhere warm” he replied, gnashing his teeth.

“You know this forest more than I do. Take me to the coven. You can also stay there too”

“I won’t be welcomed in. I’m a vampire”

“You were the one that said they were nice to you. So come on!” Kylie said, almost yelling.

The man smiled and went with Kylie. He helped her find her way to the coven.

As they walked together, the talked about random things.
“So, do you live alone?” She asked.

“Yes” he replied.

“No wife, no brother not sister?” She asked again.

“Still no. Well, I once had a family till my cousin scattered everything. He killed my parents and my younger brother got missing. I also left my wife so that she can protect my child” he explained.

“That’s sad. What do you plan on doing next?”

“Nothing. My cousin controls the vampires now instead of me. There’s nothing I can do” he replied with a sad tone.

Kylie lowered her gaze, looking sad and also cold.

“What about you? What about your parents?”

“My mom’s dead. So as my granny. They were killed by the vampires because they needed me”

“That’s strange. Why are they after you? Did you hurt them or what?” He asked.

Kylie shot him a hærd glare. She couldn’t trust anyone especially this stranger who was a vampire.

The man noticed the look and smiled.
“It’s okay if you can’t tell me. You should be careful around them” he said.

“I feel it was my fault that they died” she continued.

“What makes you think so?” He asked.

“I left my house, the city and my family to search for my father. My mom told me that he left when I was a baby and also named me. He was trying to… Protect us but I don’t get, from what?” She said.

The man suddenly stopped and stared at Kylie.
“Are you… Kylie?” He asked.

“I never told you my name. How did you know it?”

He chuckled silently.
“Oh my world, I’ve been with my daughter for the past one hour and I never noticed”

“Dad?” Kylie called out.

“Yes. It’s me, your father. I’m Robby” he said.

“Dad!” Kylie said again and hugged him tight.
“I thought I would never see you”

“I can’t believe Sarah did it. She protected you from them and you’ve passed the death age. Oh Sarah” he said and freed Kylie from his grip.

“Come on, let’s go dad” she said and pulled his arm.

They walked towards the rock but there was no way she could get in.
“Shit! I don’t know how to open this rock”

“You are Kylie. Use your powers” he said.

Kylie smiled and nodded.
She stepped back and closed her eyes tight. She saw an image of her dividing her hands like she was trying to open an invisible door.

She shot her eyes wide open and joined her palms together.
The breeze was getting stronger and windier.

She divided her arms like she was opening an invisible door. She saw the rock separating till it was fully opened.

She stared at Robby and cheered.
“Come on, let’s go in” she said and pulled his hand.

They both got into the coven and saw everyone staring at them.

Elina quickly came out from her chamber, so as Jasper.

“Kylie!” He said and ran downstairs.

Elina slowly walked towards Kylie.
“Do you know how worried we were?” She said and hugged Kylie.

Jasper stepped back a little.
“Why is there a vampire here?” He asked.

Elina sighted Robby and stared back at Kylie.
“Why did you bring in a vampire? How did you even open the door?”

“Long story cut short. Elina, meet Robby. Dad, meet Elina” she said.

Jasper gasped and walked towards Robby.
“You are one of the oldest vampire. I know you” he said.

Robby smiled.

Elina turned and faced the other witches.
“It’s okay everyone. We are safe. You can all go back to your chambers” she announced.

They all murmured as they went back to their chambers.
Elina smiled at Robby.
“This way Robby. We have a lot to discuss” he said.

“Bye Dad, I’ll see you around” Kylie said smiling.

Jasper walked towards her.
“I’ve not seen you smile like this. I’m glad you found your father”

“Yeah, me too. I’m cold, I need something hot” she said and went away.

He smiled, watching her leave.

Bob sat on his huge chair playing with his staff as he was deep in thought.

His new assistant, Freddie walked towards him.
“My lord, you have a message” he said.

“I hope it’s a very important message or else, I’ll strike both you and the person dead” he said.

Freddie nodded and left.

A young man walked in and bowed.
“Greetings my lord, I’ve brought news for you from the North” he said.

“Spill it” he said.

“Your enemy is still alive” he said.

Bob quickly turn to face him. Everyone knew who his enemy is.
It was his cousin, Robby.

“Robby is alive. That’s impossible!” He said.

“We saw him coming out from a cave hours ago and it seem like he has been living there all these years. When he left, we inspected the cave and saw that, that was his home” he said.

Bob tightened his fist angrily.
He hit his hand on the handle of his chair and sprung up.

“Summon all vampires here at midnight. There’s a meeting” he said to Freddie.

They both left the hall quickly.

Bob sat slowly, thinking about a way to get Robby.
“Where would he have gone? Why is he still alive? I thought he was dead since all this years” he murmured.

Years ago….
Eve and Nicky, Robby’s parents. The king and queen of all vampires.

Bob overheard them when they were talking about making Robby the next king.

He got angry and killed them with a deadly poison.
He made them thumbprint with their blood on the will on who’s going to be the next king.

He showed it to everyone and they couldn’t deny since they were dead.
Some of the vampires weren’t supportive of this. He killed them and made some of them kill Robby and his brother, Henry.

Henry got into the hands of the witch while Robby found a place to hide but that couldn’t stop him from seeing Sarah.

He knew that is he was seen with her and the baby, they would all be killed.

So he left them alone throughout the whole years.

*Reality*
Bob sighed after that thought.
“I should do something very fast. Robby can’t be alive. He mustn’t be alive. Never!” He yelled.

Robby went into Kylie’s chamber and saw that she was about to sleep.

“Hope I’m not disturbing” he said before entering.

Kylie turned and smiled at her father.
“No father, come in” he said and walked towards her.

Kylie sat on the bed with her two legs on the bed.
Robby also sat on the bed, close to her and touch her face.

“I still can’t believe that you are my daughter” he said.

“I also can’t believe that you are my father. You look so young and… Good”

Robby chuckled.
“Well, I’m close to two thousand years”

“What?!” Kylie yelled as her mouth fell open.

“It’s surprising huh?”

She nodded.

“You should get some sleep. We talk better in the morning” Robby said and k××sed her forehead.

Kylie laid on the bed and held her father’s hand.
“Promise me that you won’t leave me” she said.

He stared at her without uttering a word.
“I can’t promise that yet”

“But why? Are you planning on leaving again?” Kylie quickly sat up.

“No I’m not. But… You won’t understand Kylie. We’ll talk tomorrow. Goodnight” he said and left the room.

Kylie sighed deeply and laid on the bed.
She has lost her mother, now her father whom she just found wants to leave her again.

She wished things weren’t like this. She wished everyone was normal like human.
Tears rolled down her eyes as she shut them slowly, trying to sleep.

As Robby walked towards his chamber, he bumped into Elina.

“You shouldn’t be walking around here. Some of the witches are scared that you are around”

“It’s okay. I’ll leave tomorrow”he said and turned to leave.

Elina felt bad. She knew that Robby was the only one that was making Kylie happy.
“Wait, you can stay just because of Kylie. But please, don’t wander around” she said and left.

Robby brushed his fingers into his hair and walked into his chamber.
He had a very long and nice bath. Something he hasn’t had more than twenty years ago.

He changed into the clothes that was brought for him and threw himself on the bed.

“Ah! Life’s good” he murmured.

Bob stood in front of all the vampires that were before him.

They were murmuring, wondering why Bob called them here.
Madison was even frustrated. She got the message while in a very hot club.
Jackson wasn’t even interested in coming here.
He came to drive his mind away from Kylie.

“Welcome vampires, I’ve summoned you all here because hell has broken loose. My enemy is out there wandering like a free cat. I need everyone of you to group yourself and find him. Bring him to me alive but if he tries to be stubborn, kill him!”

“And who are we talking about here?”

“The witches or… Your cousin?” Someone asked.

Bob gr0-ned.
“My cousin, Robby. I want him dead!” He yelled.

They all started to murmur again.

“Bring him to me, there’s a reward for you” he said.

They all started grouping themselves. Jackson walked out of the mansion. He wasn’t interested in it at all. He doesn’t need the reward.

He used that opportunity to go hunt even if it was still snowing.

Kylie woke up very happy that morning. She came out from her chamber and saw Jasper.

“There you are, mom want to see you” she said.

“Oh, of course” she said and walked downstairs where she was talking to the witches.

She stood behind her, waiting for her to talk to them.

Elina turned and saw Kylie, standing silently behind her.
“Here she is, she’s part of us now. Treat her nice and be friendly”

They all nodded and left.

Elina faced Kylie with a smile on her face.
“Good morning Kylie” she said.

“Good morning mom” she replied.

“I’ll be in my chamber if you need anything” she said and left.

Immediately she left, two girls walked towards Kylie.
“Hi, I’m Miley”

“Hi, I’m Hailey. We are a twin”

Kylie gasped.
“Awwn, I love twins a lot” she said to them.

They both giggled.
“Thanks” they chorused.

“It’s nice to meet you. I’m Kylie though”

They nodded.
“We already know that. If you want any help, feel free to ask us”

Kylie nodded and left them.

She looked up and saw her father and Robby getting ready for something.

She watched as they walked towards her.
“Where are you heading to?” She asked.

“We are going for a hunt. Don’t you want to eat some delicious meat for dinner?” Robby asked.

“Sure. Can I come with you?” She asked.

“No, it’s dangerous. You just stay here and read does spell books”

Kylie nodded.
“Don’t take too much time”

“Sure” Robby k××sed her forehead.
“I’ll be back” he said and left.

Jasper ruffled her hair.
“Go!” He said and left.

Kylie chuckled.
“Naughty boy” she murmured and went to the spell room.

She picked some books and started to read it. She tried to perform the spell but it didn’t work.
She continued trying.

Robby and Jasper walked into the forest looking for an animal to hunt.
But they ended up in a conversation.

“So Jasper..”

“Huh!” Jasper replied.

“You like Kylie huh?” She asked.

Jasper lowered his gaze and blushed.
“I… I don’t really know about that”

“I’ve seen it in your eyes. The way you look at her and I can even hear your heartbeat from here” Robby said slowly.

Jasper touched his chest and heard his heartbeat. Robby was right. At the mention of Kylie’s name, his heart always skip a beat and start to beat fast.

“Stop thinking about it Jasper. If you like her, just tell her before someone takes over her” he said.

“But how would…”

“Shhh” Robby said and quickly bend.
Jasper also bend with him.

“What?”

“There’s an antelope there. I just have to get it” he replied.

Jasper smirked and watched as Robby slowly crawled towards it.
He jumped on the animal and bit it.

It fell dead.
Robby sat up and cleaned the blood that was dripping from his mouth.

Jasper walked towards him and clapped.
“Wow, that was excellent. I thought we were going to spend the whole day looking for a catch” he said.

Robby laughed and stood up.
He picked up the antelope and placed it on his neck.

“Wait… We are not alone” he said.

Jasper looked round if he could see anyone but there was no sign.

Suddenly, an arrow from nowhere flew and pierced through Robby’s skin.

He gr0-ned and held his arm, letting the dead animal fall to the floor.
He pulled out the arrow and that s₱0t healed quickly.

Jasper shot his eyes wide open.

“They’ve found me. Grab the animal, I’ll take care of them” he said and swiftly ran into the woods.

He caught them spying on him and also the one who shot him.

He snapped the first on neck and dug his hand into the second one’s body and brought out his heart.

The third one wanted to escape but Robby swiftly ran and caught him by his head.
He pushed him and a branch of a tree pierced through his heart.

He turned and stared at the one who shot him.
“I know it’s Bob that sent you to kill me but I won’t kill him. You have to send a message to him. Tell him, Game on!”

The young vampire nodded and quickly left.

Robby turned and saw Jasper standing there, watching him.

“That was cool” he said.

“Let’s leave here immediately!” He said.

Robby took the animal and held Jasper. He swiftly ran to the hangout and stopped by the door.

Jasper opened the door and they entered quickly.

Robby dropped the dead animal and sat on the floor.
Same with Jasper, he was panting hærd.
That was the fastest ride he has ever witnessed.

Elina and Kylie heard about their arrival and went downstairs.

“Wow, what a nice catch dad” she said and slowly touched the dead meat.

“Take this to the kitchen and prepare it” Elina ordered.

Someone took it and left with it.

Jasper turned to face Robby.
“How’s you hand?”

“All healed” he replied.

“What happened?” Elina asked.

“Robby is wanted Dead!” Jasper muttered.

Kylie stepped back a little and closed her mouth.
Tears started rolling down her eyes.

“By who?” Elina asked.

“My cousin wants to kill me” Robby finally opened up.

“No! No! I can’t let that happen” Kylie cried out.

“I understand Kylie. Nothing will happen to me. I promise. I just have to leave here immediately. I don’t know if they noticed Jasper as a witch if not, they would come here”

“You can’t leave dad. I won’t let you go. Take me with you!” She cried out.

Robby stood up and walked towards Kylie.
“Kylie, they want you badly because they are scared of you. They know you are my daughter and I’m your father. Please stay here where you’ll be protected. Jasper will take good care of you”

“But dad…”

“I have to do this Kylie. I promise, I’ll come back for you” he said and walked away.

Kylie burst into tears, she never imagined her father would leave her again just to protect her and the coven.

Jasper opened the door for Robby.
He hugged Robby tight.
“Thanks Robby for trusting me with your daughter” he said.

Robby touched his face and left.
He remembered the same way he left when Sarah have birth to Kylie.
Everything is just for protection.

“I’m sorry Kylie. I have to do this”
