OH MY HEART (ROSEANNA)

Chapter 22

Continuation from the last episode:
Diana holds the gift box as they walk inside.
“You shouldn’t have taken it…” Roseanna kept on complaining.
“Well, let us just see what’s inside” Kalila suggested.
They lay the box as they unwrap the present. Taking some time they finally opened it.
“W..o..w!” Diana exclaims. Roseanna who didn’t follow them and stood, looked at her then to the present Diana brought out.
A sheath red off-shoulder mid high-low gown, a blue floral asymmetrical top and a plain flared white pants together with a white sneakers.
“Wow… who sent these?” Diana exclaims loudly.
“Wait…!” Kalila picks up a written note down from the box, it reads ‘Meeting you at 4:00 pm’.
Roseanna’s brows snapped together as her eyes glinted. A flush crept up her face, not knowing what to do she bit her lip, looking at her friends with no word coming out of her lips.
Diana rolls her eyes and smirks, she had just guessed who did it. “Well Rosie, you might have to get prepared!”
“I still don’t get it” Roseanna managed to say.

Jason’s House
🕓🕓🕓
Jason kept on staring at his watch and hoping for time to pass on rapidly.
He is dressed in a well fitted button up white collar shirt untucked with a blue jeans, leaving two buttons on his shirt open. He looks at his watch for the upteenth time and sighs.
“Oh dude… you’ve been here lately doing nothing… planning on a date with Starlet?” Nicole asked as he serves himself a glass of red wine from the lounge.
“No!” Jason replies finally standing up from the sofa in which he sat.
“Then who? First of all, you purchased some goodies online certainly not for you…, then you are all dressed up and you say you are not on a date with Starlet? Com’on man, you’re really good at surprises” Nicole utters rather confused.
Jason sits back and rest his hands on his jaw trying to think. What had actually become of him lately. He definitely has some feelings for Roseanna but how? He hasn’t met and known her fully. Most instances led him meeting her several times.
Nicole shrugs his shoulder seeing Jason wouldn’t even reply him. He takes his glass of wine and goes up the stairs.

At Roseanna Room
Roseanna is dressed in the blue floral asymmetrical top and a plain flared white pants together with the white sneakers. Diana packs her hair into a ponytail.
Roseanna is absent the whole while until Diana taps her and she jerks off the space.
Truth be told, Roseanna looked totally alluring as the clothes fit her body perfectly exposing her shape and curves in the right places. Her face shone brightly though just a nude makeup.

Lea drives into Jason’s house to see Nicole. Just then, Jason comes out of the house and walks hurriedly to his car.
“Where is he going?” Lea asks turning to his direction before gazing back to the door. She shakes her head and walks towards the door.
“Nicole!” Lea almost screamed as she runs to hug him.
Nicole walks down the stairs still holding the glass in his hands, soon someone run towards him with great speed and the glass in his hands smashed to the floor.
“What is wrong with you!” Nicole yelled, pulling Lea away.
As shocked as Lea was, she looked at the broken glass and back to Nicole. She mumbles for words but his red eyes gaze kept her mute and stares at him.
“I…”
Nicole releases some breathe and cut her short. “Spare me that Lea, just save me that thrash”
“I love you Nicole… I love you” Tears well up in Lea’s eyes and streaks down her cheeks, she tries to go closer to Nicole.
“And I don’t love you!” Nicole lashes angrily at her. “Why don’t you want to understand…, we can never be in a relationship! Get that into your head and stop being a pest!” Nick barges out and walks out on her.
Lea falls to the floor, letting the tears roll down. ” Surely, you will learn to love me, Nicole!” she swore under her breathe.

Chapter 23

Jason drives into the school hostel where Roseanna and her friends stay.
He glances at his wrist watch ‘3:38’ and thankfully there was still more time.

********
Roseanna through with everything, looks at Diana who smiles widely.
“You look stunning, Rosie” Diana complemented.
“Thank you” Roseanna says as she places a silver sparkling bracelet on her hand.
Kalila gasps ‘3:54’. She looks at Roseanna who blank stares at her. “You need to get going!”
“Seems like you and Diana wants to sell me off!!” Roseanna exclaims.

**Few minutes later**
Roseanna together with Diana and Kalila walks out of their room and out of the hostel.
Jason stands beside his car and sees Roseanna from afar. He becomes slack jawed as he stands in awe. She looks perfect!
Diana sights Jason, she looks at Roseanna. Pretending like she knew nothing, she paused.
“What’s wrong?” Roseanna asks.
“Nothing really… and… it’s your birthday and I certainly have a surprise for you!”
“What?”
“Just watch” Diana covers Roseanna eyes and walks her to where Jason was.
“Surprise!!!” Kalila screams as Diana releases her hand from Roseanna face.
Jason gazed at her who looks at him in surprise.
“You?” Roseanna raises her brows as her eyes glittered. Jason seeing her surprised look, curled his lips into a smile.

“Happy birthday Roseanna” Jason managed to say.
” What?… How did you…” she looks at Diana who grins.
” So this is the surprise uh? and you pretended like you knew nothing about it”.
“Yeah and that is why it is a surprise Rosie” Kalila uttered. ” So happy birthday!!!” she chuckles.
Roseanna and Jason exchanged some interlocking eye contact without saying anything to each other.
“I think, we will leave now” Kalila suggested to Diana who nods. “Bye!!”
“I don’t understand?” Roseanna asks rather confused.
“It’s your birthday so enjoy yourself dear” Diana waves at her as they turn to leave.
Roseanna watched them leave back to the hostel and looks at Jason, she frowns.
“If I knew it was you, I wouldn’t have come out nor wore the clothes, you made me think…”
“I understand, sorry” Jason replies still looking at her.
Roseanna smiles “Apologies accepted, anyways I love the clothes, thank you”.
Jason smiles back, grateful that she did, the clothes fitted her perfectly.
“So can we..?” Jason asked, opening the back door of the car for her which she enters.

Jason drives for a while and arrives at the park and packed his car at the packing space. He turns off his ignition switch and alighted the car.
He opens the back door of the car for Roseanna who gracefully alighted the car too.
He brought out his hand but feeling so shy, Roseanna laughed it off.
They walk down and into the building. They sat and ordered for what they want, sitting opposite each other.
Roseanna was being served chocolate sundaee and chips and Jason with something simpler.
Both of them ate with Jason ste*aling glances at her in between meals.
Roseanna looks up and sees him and smiles gently. Jason lowers his cutlery and curled his lips into a smile.
“Happy birthday Roseanna!”

Chapter 24

Continuation from the last episode;
Roseanna was being served chocolate sundaee and chips and Jason with something simpler.

Both of them ate with Jason ste*aling glances at her in between meals.

Roseanna looks up and sees him and smiles gently. Jason lowers his cutlery and curled his lips into a smile.

“Happy birthday Roseanna!”.

Kinda shy about the whole thing, she just looked at him, “Thank you” she managed to say.

“So how old are you now?”

Roseanna smiles and looks up, staring at nothing.

“I’m 20 years now, you?

“24” Jason replied.

“So…”

JASON’S HOUSE
Charles comes into the house and sees Lea still seated on the floor though the broken glass wasn’t there again, seems she had cleaned it up.

He sighs, knowing why she was here… Nicole. Soon his phone rang.

“Hello?” He said picking up the call while walking over to his room not minding Lea’s presence.

“Charles, can you help me over with something?” Diana sounded through the phone.

“Sure.. What’s it?”

“Well… it Roseanna birthday and we are planning some surprises for her… can you please come over to assist?”

“There is no problem, I will be there before an hour time” Charles replied.

Entering his room, He quickly changes his clothing, grabbing his car key and tucking his phone into his pocket, he leaves his room.

“I guess I will have to lock the house and I won’t leave you here, you know?…” Charles said talking to Lea though not looking in her direction.

“Where are you all going?” Lea asks confused, first of all Jason wasn’t in the house, then Nicole left, now Charles is leaving too?

“How did our life become a business of yours?”. He paused and turns to her, “Now I am politely asking you to leave… This way…” He pointed his hands over the door leading to outside.

Lea looks at him, she stands up and dust herself, she wipe out her tears up and slowly walk out of the house.

*********
PARK
Jason and Roseanna strolls along the park, talking about several things.

“Since semester is over what did you plan on doing this holiday?” Jason asks.

Roseanna breathes in, “Actually, I want to go home and see my grandparents, it is almost a year I haven’t set my eyes on them, I wonder how they are coping alone”

“Ohh, really, what about your parents, aren’t you going to see them too?” Jason asks surprised she didn’t mention about visiting her parents.

Yeah, they may have discussed about somethings, but Roseanna never mentioned anything about her parents.

Hearing what Jason had just asked, Roseanna’s countenance changed. She first becomes silent and stares at nothing in particular.

Tears filled her eye, f*ghting to hold the tears back, she couldn’t. Squeezing her eyes shut, she pressed her lips together as tears ran down her cheeks.

She sniffs, “I wish I could go home…, run into the embrace of my father, kiss my mom…, narrates to them how I coped in school. Laugh with them, play pranks on them but… but…”

Jason knew where this was leading to, he shouldn’t have asked such a question. He cleans her tears and hugs her gently, trying to soothe her. “It’s okay, I understand and I am sorry” He said gently stroking her back but she pour more tears.

“Sorry for making you remember”.

Roseanna looks at him, she sniffs again. “There is no problem, it was a long while ago though but emotions still have a bigger part whenever I am reminded of such”. She takes a very deep breathe, ” You?”

“My dad passed away since I was four and since then I had been with my Mom. Anyways, it’s twenty years now and I still miss him”.

Sharing almost same experience brought the duo even more closer than anyone would imagine.

Jason and Roseanna returns back to the car after everything, Jason drives out of the park going back to drop Roseanna off at the Hostel.
