☔Episode 6☔
Bryce’s POV:
I walk out of the meeting room, my eyes fixed on my phone typing a reply back to my mom.
“Mr King, your next meeting starts in ten minutes.” My secretary said and I sigh.
“Cancel it.” I told her and made my way back to my office.
Getting to my office, I open my laptop and continue with my leftover works.
After working on two different files, I sigh heavily rubbing my hand on my temple.
I closed my laptop and grab my wallets.
Walking out of the office, I dial the number of my driver.
“Daniel, get the car ready.” I said to the phone then hang up.
“Mr King are you off for the day?”Katie my secretary asked.
“Yes, cancel every other appointment.” I said calmly and walk in,side my private elevator.
I pressed the first floor and watch as the numbers go down one after the other. I squint my eyes and closed it.
The elevator stopped and I walk out of it, heading for the door. The car was park close so that i can get in without stressing much.
“Mr King.” Daniel opened the door for me but I opened my palm instead.
“Hand over the key.” I said coldly.
He nods and hand over the key to me.
“You can take the day off.” I told him and walk around to unlock the car and get in then drove off.
I just felt like having a lone time to myself.
I drove towards the park and stopped the car there.
I stepped down from the car and removed my sunglasses.
Staring at the children running around the park my eyes wavered from there normal cold self.
I may be a cold in the outside but I’m very much close to young children. They gives me joy.
“Mama, when are we going home?” I heard a voice said behind.
I turned around and my eyes met that of a woman with a young boy. Her eyes w¡dened when she see me, it feelslike though we’ve met before.
I furrowed my eyebrows and try to recollect where we met. Then I did after so many thinking.
Penny.
“Mom?” The young boy called.
Is she married? I inquisitively glanced at her fingers but there was no ring.
“We will be leaving soon baby.” She said and smiled down at the little boy then walked towards me.
“Good day Mr King, I’m Penelope James. You might have forgot but you saved me sometimes last week.” She said, her cheek tinted in a shade of pink.
Is she blushing?
“Uhmmm,” I mumbled and watch as she fidget with her fingers.
Penny’s POV:
On monday after picking up Chris from school, I decided to take him for an ice cream at the park.
I never expect to see him there.
He clearly didn’t recognize me, why would he? He is the third richest man on earth but I’m just Penny.
I mustered some courage and walk towards him.

He stare at me coldly after introducing myself, his eyes fixed on me. It looks as though he was thinking about something.
“He is your son?” He asked, I was slightly taken aback by his question but I nodded anyway.
“Hum.” He hummed watching me keenly while I squirm because of his uncomfortable gaze.
He wore his sunglasses, shedding his eyes from me.
“Nice meeting you again Mrs James…..”
“It is Miss sir.” I cut him off. I blushed furiously, I fixed my eyes on the ground after causing myself such embarrassment.
Not like I’m interested in him or anything, he just have this intimidating persona.
Yes he is hot and s€×y, rich and cold but, I’m not interested in a man right now.
At least not any man.
“Goodbye.” He said and I nods, he passed me by, his scent rushing through my nose and I found the urge to sniff it in.
“Shall we go now mom?” Chris asked, I cursed under my breath and nods. I momentarily forgot that he us here with me.
“Let’s go.”
We got in,side my car and I fixed his seat belt and drove off.
“What would you like to have tonight baby?” I asked him dropping my bag on the table.
“Just cereal mama.” He said and I nods.
“Go in,side your room and take your bath, I’ll make you a glass of cereal.” I said and he walk off.
I walk in,side the kitchen and wash my hand in,side the washing basin and open the cabinet. Bringing out a white glass cup and the golden morn I hit up a warm water and the condense milk then start preparing cereal for both of us.
“He is your son?”
Does he think different of me now? Maybe he see’s me as a wh-re.
Who cares what he thinks though, I might never see him again.

☔Episode 7☔
Bryce’s POV:
I bend down to her level and engulf her in a tight hug.
“Hey baby.” I greeted. She grin and k-ssed my cheek.
“I miss you daddy.” She said and I smile. “I spoke with mommy earlier daddy, she said she’ll soon be back.”
I smiled heartly and peck her cheek as well.
“Okay baby, go and meet Sarah now, take your bath and let’s have dinner together.” I said and she laughed loudly.
“Sarah, come bath me I’d wanna miss dinner with dad.” She yelled for her nanny, running up the staircase.
“Stop running sweetheart, you’ll get a cut.” I cautioned.
“I’m sorry dad.” She said and I gave her a thumb up.
I was about to go upstairs as well and have my bath then come back for dinner, but a paper caught my attention.
I walk closer to it and open it, lo and behold it was Selena’s facial drawing. I pursed my lip into a thin line and closed my eyes then walk upstairs calmly.
I pushed open my room door and walked in, walking straight in,side my closet I started pilling off my clothes.
Penny’s POV:
“Ana we are short of strawberries.” I yelled from the kitchen
“Maggie will get it soon.”
I clean my floured hands with towel, my eyes scanning the kitchen.
I bring out the toppings from the cabinet and drop it on the kitchen island.
Getting out of the kitchen I saw alot of people lined up in front of the counter and Maggie serving them.
“Maggie, go to the nearby grocery store and get some strawberries for the cake.” I told her, “I’ll fill in for you.”
She smiled and removed the apron.
“I’ll be back soon.” She said and walk out.
I look at the roll and saw a teenage girl carrying a young girl on her shoulder.
“Hey sweetie, what would you love to order?” I asked the young girl.
“I want apple pie and strawberry shortcake.” She said and giggled.
“Apple pie and strawberry shortcake coming right up.” I told her and she nodded happily.
I walk in,side the kitchen and took two pieces of strawberry shortcake and apple pie then added some peanut butter, I walk back to the counter and saw the girl already impatient.
“Here is your order baby girl.” I said handing over her order. “It is $50 baby girl.”
“Thank you aunt,here.” Her nanny I guess gave me the money and they left.
While leaving the young girl keep staring at me, I couldn’t take my eyes off her as well.
She is just too beautiful and familiar.
I keep taking orders from the others customers.
“Here is the strawberry Penny, do you need anything else?” Maggie asked.
“Thank you Maggie, I’ll just round up everything soon.” I said and sigh.
I walk back to the kitchen and continue with what I asked doing.
I took the strawberry and wash it then continue with what I was doing.

“Penny you remember what I told you the other day?” Maggie asked and I shook my head.
“I can’t remember, is it about the night club thing?” I asked.
“Hum, let’s go clubbing.” I smiled and shook my head.
“I have Chris to take care of, I can’t go to the nightclub with you dummy.” I said and she laughed loudly.
“Penny when last did you went to a club? When last did you go on a date with someone? Why haven’t you been with anyone since him?” She asked. I closed my eyes and shook my head.
“None.” I said dryly.
“Why? Are you…..don’t tell me that you’re still in love with him.”
“I……I…..he is the father of my child Maggie, I love him.” I said and her eyes w¡dened.
Have I said something wrong?
“You’re still in love with him? Oh my goodness!”
Tears sprung out of my eyes as the flashback of my sophomore year in college came back into my head.
The reason why I still can’t let him go.
Where are you Alexander?
Why ain’t you back yet?
I miss you.
