Chapter 4
Nicholas
I carried her straight to my room. Some maids and guards were staring but that didn’t bother me much
She kept gro-ning softly anytime my hands touches her skin
I got to my room and pushed the door opened. I lay her on my bed and quickly went to get a lotion
I came back and met her eyes still shut. I wondered if she knows I’m the one that carried her. I climbed on the bed and started applying the lotion on her skin
She gro-ned softly again holding the sheet tight but with her eyes still shut . I wanted to stop myself but the feeling was too much
A kind of feeling that I don’t understand
I don’t even know her and yet I feel attracted to her. It’s like a kind of bonding……
Staring at her I knew she was a maid just from the way she dressed
She snores softly bringing me out of my thoughts. I looked at her cute little face as she sighed
Even in her slumber she do sighed
I applied the lotion on the s₱0t remaining and she gro-ned and then snores again

I was through but it’s obvious she was fast asleep
Who could have done this to her
“Mabel! ” my subconscious mind yelled and I heaved
It obvious it was her. I mean Maya can’t do such.
I have never interfered with the way she treats others but I don’t think if I can be able to take it if she hurts her again
“Nicholas why do you care about someone you don’t know ” my sub conscious mind said and I shrugged
“I don’t know and that’s why I’m gonna find out”i replied back to my sub conscious mind
This was strange, so strange and only one person can interpret what was happening to me right now
I needs to go see her. I glared at her and used the duvet to cover her body

THE CONNOR’S RESIDENCE
“Good morning master”

More and more greetings came in as I walked into my parents residence but as usual I ignored it
I opened the door and walked straight to the living room
“what the heck! ” my father yelled
He was on the couch with a little girl obviously making out
I can be dangerous, wicked and heartless but one thing is sure I’m not a player like my father or Louis my best friend
But this old man here is worst than Louis. I mean Louis is not yet married
Even when he is married to my mum he still bring in his slut to his reside
I balled my fist and rushed to the girl who was getting up and covered her half unclad body
I can’t believe even in the present of this maid and guards that I have assigned here to look over mother. He still have the right to do this in their front
I got to the girl and grab her neck. I raised her up and slammed her body on the wall
“have you gone mad ” dad yelled hitting his walking stick on the wall
“shut up old man ” I yelled still choking this girl
“doing this in your home. Show some respect for my mother” I spat out
I tightened my grip on her neck and dipped my other hand into my pocket
I brought out my paring knife and dug it in her left eyes and the same to her right eyes
“shit!” dad cursed looking away as I slide her throat
“you…. You” dad stuttered
“I killed her” I smirked at her dead mother
“you should be grateful mother loves you and I don’t want to hurt her. Trust me making your remaining life miserable will give me joy” I said with gritted teeth
But I can’t
“kill me and watch your mother died along with me” he smirked and I rushed to him holding his top
I gritted my teeth and slowly release his top. I can’t hurt him. Mum will be mad
“if you want to have fun with any of your bitchy slut. Don’t bring them here!! ” I barked and made my way upstairs
“just a year and you will be dethroned by your cousin Nathan and we will rule the people. Immediately Nathan becomes the people master you knows what followed next. I don’t need to remember you about our deal” dad said stopping me on my track
I shut my eyes
The elders has given me just a year and I must get a heir
I won’t give dad the chance to hurt my mother. Never!!!
I got to mum room and met her as usual knitting
“mum” I called softening my anger
She looked up and smile at me
“you can leave ” she said to the maids who bow and left
“you came son” she said faking another smile

“what do you mean son” she frowned
“stop it mum. Your old man doesn’t deserve your love. Let go of this infatuation and let me deal with his miserable life” I spat out
“I forbidden you to do that. He’s your father and you knew he was never like this” she said and I gro-ned
Yes we waited for him to change but he’s getting worst by the day
He’s only jealous that his son was chosen by the elders

“what brought you here son” she asked instead and I signed
I sat on her bed
“mum there’s something happening to me right now that I don’t seems to understand ” I said
“speak to me son” she said
“I felt my self being attracted to a girl, doing stuff that I shouldn’t be thinking of doing . I just met her and yet I feel she has been part of me” i said and the expression from her face was mixed
“do you have this feeling when you first met with Mabel ?” she asked and I shook my head
I never felt this way around Mabel. Even before this strange girl show up I feel attracted to just three people. That’s Louis my mum and……….. I shouldn’t say who the last person is
She’s someone I’m secretly seeing
“this is strange and….. Unbelievable. You never gets too closed to people and always cold to them. You are supposed to feel that way only to your betrothed. That’s what we believe in ” mum said making me confused the more

Maya only came into the picture when Mabel was unable to bear me a heir
“only you and your betrothed is expected to share this bonding. But the question here is…. If you didn’t feel it with Mabel why will you feel it with a total stranger?? ” she asked staring into space
“The people here believe in this bonding stuff especially when the both parents are too closed. The feeling will be there right from when you both will be born. It grows every year of your life and it makes you do the unthinkable” she said and I wondered if she feels the same way with father. Is that why she can’t leave him??
“who’s this girl ” she asked suddenly
“she’s a maid” a said and her eyes w¡dened
“a maid??” she asked shocked
“why a maid? ” she asked again
“I don’t know mum ” I shrugged
“please son promise me you won’t get too attracted. Promise me you will stay away from her. Promise me you will try to control this growing feelings until I figure everything out ” she replied and my jaw dropped
“why mum?” I asked
“she’s a maid for crying out loud and you are the people master. There’s a huge difference” she said
“mum , a maid can be educated and be rich. It’s not a law that a maid will forever remain a low class,I don’t think I can promise you that. Have a blessed day mum” I said and k-ssed her cheeks
I walked out before she could utter any word

Quinn kept pacing in her room. It’s been three hours yet no sign of Brielle
She was worried. Where have he taken her to??

She just gonna allow her enjoyed the rest of today and then tomorrow she will make sure she faces her rod. She’s gonna so much torment her for crossing her path
“Miley?? ” she called again and jumped on her bed
Her cat rushed out of its hidden places and rushed towards her on the bed
“how is my baby doing today” she said to the cat who made a sound
“Miley I wanna do something evil. Something so bad. I want her to die a painful death for crossing my path ” she said stroking her cat hair
“give me an idea will you ” she uttered to the cat
The door banged opened suddenly and she looked up to see Maya who had an angry face
“you cramp why will you banged in my room like that? ” she yelled
“Why will asked the guards to destroy my car. The only car I love using for modelling ” Maya barked and she smirked
“it was constituting nuisance. I wanted more space in the compound “Mabel replied
“you witch!!” Maya rushed towards her but she stood up quickly with her cat on her shoulders
“you know my father is the head of the elders and next in decision after my husband. Touch me and then you will know what capable of doing ” Mabel said immediately Maya got to her
“you are such a witch. Using your father influence on people and yet you can’t even give the husband you claim to love a heir” Maya said and she laughed out loud
“can you hear yourself talk. Like seriously were you able to give him a heir. Look here Maya. This place is not meant for you. Leave already because I will soon give him a heir ” Mabel said
“Trust me you will leave this mansion before me.i will give him the heir and I will be his favorite.so it’s best you leave ” Maya yelled
“do you know you worried too much baby. You are the hired wife baby and I’m his betrothed. His real wife incase you don’t understand the word betrothed. Get yourself busy and stop thinking of fantasy that won’t be ever be real” Mabel said and and her cat made a sound which to her it means he agreed
“have you forgotten I’m a model. you are the one that needs to work and stop manipulating yourself with this evil cat of yours and stop performing like a witch. Stay on your lane Mabel” she warned
“and what if I don’t?” Mabel asked
Maya glared at her and without uttering a word she left. The truth is no one can hurt Mabel. Her parents has influence and that’s why Maya is still acting cool

Her back finally hit the wall and before she knew it, he has gotten to her
He placed his both hands on the wall capturing her in the middle
He stared at her face and his gaze moved to her lip
He felt so weak. The feelings were taking his sense of reasoning and before he knew it he slammed his l-ips on her and almost immediately the door burst opened
