Here in Mr. Williams house… Penelope, Frank talk things out with Gabriel , as he’s busy ranting over his humiliation caused by Monica.

Penelope ➡ Take it easy… Please we need you to do this for us..

Gabriel ➡ No… I can’t put up with this charade… I hate her….

Penelope ➡ I also do.. But remember our plan.. We need to to focus so we can succeed.

Gabriel ➡ No… In fact even if we get married, how am I going to get rid of her… I won’t do the dirty work…

Frank ➡ Penelope has it all figured out..

Gabriel ➡ I want to hear the plan… How are you going to get rid of that b*tch?

Penelope ➡ Okay fine… After you and Monica get married and you happily settled down.. Then one day you leave the house and go to work, and when Monica leaves she won’t return ever..

Penelope ➡ and we all get what we want except for William, who is going to cry over his daughter’s demise. I’ll make sure I piss on her grave after that…

The men laugh at Penelope’s remark, as they were busy laughing, They weren’t aware that Teresa the house maid was behind the curtain listening to their every word..

Today is the day of Monica’s marriage.. She has already been dressed and prepped up for her wedding, she looks so lovely and beautiful as like Disney princesses….. Though this was supposed to be a happy day for her, Monica was feeling sad and unhappy.
Just an hour before the wedding, Monica stays in her room, staring blankly in the mirror, her expression is dry and empty, there was no spark of joy or happiness in her… As she sits down, staring into the mirror, her mind races back to Steven whom she misses dearly.. She picks up her phone and tries to call him but she always gets the usual answer *This number doesn’t exist *
After several attempts, she throws her phone smashing it on the wall and she begins to cry.. As she was crying, Her friend Rita walks into her room, she stands and watches as Monica cries over and over.. She walks over to her sitting next to her..

Rita ➡ Monica.. Please don’t cry.. I know you’re angry at me for putting you in this position but I was just helping out as your Friend.. Whatever it is I did to you, I’m very sorry.. I wish I could fix things… I don’t want our friendsh¡p to end like this..

Monica looks at her with teary eyes.. She stares at Rita for a while and then she grabs her friend’s hand pressing it fondly..

Monica ➡ I should be the one that should be apologizing.. I shouldn’t have ignored you when we met that day and I know it wasn’t your fault, you were just trying to help.. I’m the one to blame, if I had been straight forward this wouldn’t have happened… I’m sorry..

The two ladies settled their biff and hugged each other for while.. Just then Monica broke the embrace and rushed to the toilet, The sound of vomit soon followed next.. Rita followed her friend to see if she was okay.

Rita ➡ Jesus.. Are you alright?

Monica ➡ I’m fine….

Rita ➡ Here, let me help you up..

Rita carries Monica up and helps her back into the room, Monica lies on her bed to catch her breath.. Rita sits next to her touching her head to see if her temperature was high.. In that moment.. Teresa enters the room with a cup of water..

Teresa ➡ Good morning Aunty..

Rita ➡ Thank goodness you came in.. Pass me the water..

Monica ➡ I’m not thirsty..

Rita ➡ Drink it, it’s going to be a long day for you..

Teresa ➡ Aunty?

Teresa tells Monica and Rita everything that Penelope and her accomplice had planned before and now… Monica couldn’t believe what she was hearing, at first she didn’t want to believe Teresa but everything makes sense.. Especially the part when frank came to Steven’s house alone to pick her up…

Rita ➡ Jesus Christ… How can people be so wicked like this?

Teresa ➡ Please don’t tell Aunty Penelope if not, she’s get rid of me as well..

Monica ➡ Don’t worry.. She won’t.. Rita can you tell my dad everything that we just heard now?

Monica runs out of the room and sooner afterwards, Rita and Teresa leaves as well. While Monica drives all the way to Kano to meet Steven, Rita and Teresa goes to Mr. Williams place in the office.
As they arrive minutes later, Mr. Williams is in his office humming a tune as he celebrates his daughter’s wedding day… Rita and Teresa enter his office interrupting him while he was humming…

Mr. Williams ➡ Morning Rita.. Teresa!? Why is she here? She’s supposed to be at home with Monica.

Rita ➡ Sir… There’s no time… There’s something else you need to know…

Mr. Williams ➡ Yes, there’s no time… Monica’s wedding is soon going to start, we should all leave here at once…

Rita ➡ Sir… You have to listen to me.. This marriage is Monica’s direct ticket to the afterlife… They’ve tried twice already to kill her but failed.. But this time they will succeed.. Sir how can you explain Frank appearing at Monica’s place before us.. Did he tell you anything about coming to Kano.

Williams ➡ No… But he said he wanted to surprise me..

Rita ➡ Sir, its a lie.. He was there to kill her and we were lucky to be there in time.. This wedding is a setup to fulfill their goal.. Sir you have to trust me.. This is no joke..
Mr. Williams leans back on his seat and looks at the two ladies… He has doubts and doesn’t want to believe what they said but What if they’re right.. After all, from their expressions, he saw how terrified they were, and Murder wasn’t a thing to joke with… He too begins to reflect on what they ladies told him.. They were right on one point about Frank appearing to Kano before them… Frank always reported to him about his daughter’s whereabouts without any delay except this one. Finally he decides to find out if what these ladies where saying is true..

Mr. Williams ➡ Okay.. But first.. I need to find out myself… Where’s Monica…

Rita ➡ She’s on her way to Kano sir..

Mr. Williams ➡ What? What’s she going to do in… Wait a minute.. Is she going back to that..

Rita ➡ Yes sir..

Williams ➡ You’re right… God what have I done… And I was a fool to listen to Penelope, she tried to trick me into giving my daughter a one way ticket to the afterlife and it almost caused her life……. If I had listened to Monica In the first place all this wouldn’t have happened.

As they were taking, Frank comes into the office to see Mr. Williams… Unaware that his plan and affair with Penelope had been exposed, he sits on the chair comfortably giving Williams a broad smile.

Williams ➡ Yes I agree.. I see you’re having a good time..

Williams dials some numbers in his Smart phone and before long, his security personals pour into the office. He orders them to grab hold of Frank, and they did.. Frank tries hærd to break free but he was no match for the dozen men holding him.. Williams orders them to put him out through the window..

Frank➡ (panics) Sir, do you know what you’re doing? I’m an officer of the law..

Williams ➡ Yes, you’re an officer but I’m a well known business man, this is Nigeria, and you know what money can do in this country and that’s the difference between you and me.. Tell me.. What were you planning with my wife?

Frank ➡ (panics) I swear…. I don’t..

Williams ➡ Throw him out!!!!

Frank ➡ (shouts) WAIT! WAIT! WAIT! I’LL TELL YOU…

Williams ➡ Spill it all out…. Every last word.

Oh what a lovely day… Everything is going according to plan.. Finally I can get rid of that wh*re Monica once and for all.
As I was getting dressed in the room, Emeka bursted into my room, He looked dazed and panicked, seeing him like that made my stomach kick…

Penelope ➡ What is it? Can’t you knock…

Emeka ➡ Mom, we’ve got trouble. Williams just arrived with a convoy of police cars and frank and Gabriel are with them..

Penelope ➡ What? Impossible….

Emeka ➡ We’ve got to leave now.. Williams looks pissed…

Penelope ➡ Leave and go where?

Emeka ➡ You stay.. I won’t.. No police is going to man handle me..

Emeka ran out of the room to God knows where… I couldn’t think straight or do anything.. My mind was shattered and confused… Nobody else knew of our plan… Nobody… Wait.. I just remember, Teresa had once interrupted our conversation… How could be so careless, I should have gotten rid of her in the first place.. Before I could do anything, A group of police men came at me and dragged me away as if I was a thief.. They kept pushing and dragging me with force all the way downstairs to Williams…

Williams ➡ There’s no need, Frank had already told me everything down to the last detail.. B*tches like you deserve to be locked away and I’m going to make sure that happens..

Williams ➡ Officers, take her away with her son… and her accomplice..

As the officers dragged me with Frank and Gabriel, I saw Emeka being thrashed by the police men as he tried to resist.. I begged them not to beat him but my pleads were of no use..
Soon we were thrown in,side the police van and taken away…… Everything I’ve worked for came crashing down right in front of me.

The year was almost over, and it was a month of thanksgiving… Everyone had a great time at the church singing and praising the lord for getting us through this tough year… I also had to thank God for making my business a success.
Later that night after the church session was over, I walked home with some of the church members who lived in our area, as we were walking, We walked passed by the place where I had found Monica..
Despite the fact, she was gone.. I had missed her a lot.. Many a times I wanted to call her but I couldn’t, I brushed the idea immediately, For all I know she’s already married.
Minutes later, I had arrived home but to my surprise, I saw a Jeep parked in front of my house and I saw lights in,side the house.. I couldn’t believe it.. Nobody has keys to my house except me..
So I approached the house with caution, I found a big stick on the ground and took it in..
As I quietly opened the door, I was taken aback and surprised to see who it was…
Monica was in,side my house, sitting on the couch, she had a wedding gown on her except for the veil.. Her hair was stretched beautifully behind her and her skin smelled wonderfully.. There was a sweet fragrance that covered the entire place.. Monica was sure beautiful.
I had forgotten she had a spare key with her, I never knew she still had it all this time. I was happy to see her but I never showed it.. I came and sat next to her but in a safe distance..
We sat nothing to each other, not even to look at each other.. Monica clamped her hands together in between her legs and I just leaned back with my hands on my head.. After a while, Monica made her move..
Monica ➡ Hey..

I didn’t know what to say.. But to be honest, I had already forgiven her a long time ago. As I was thinking of what to say, Monica shifted close to me holding my arm and balancing her head on my shoulders.. God, her hair smelled so great.. All I could do at that time was out my arm around her cuddling her close to me. Monica held me tight as she felt my arm around her and she looked at me.. We didn’t say anything but kept staring at each other.. Before we both knew it.. We were on each others l-ips k-ssing.. How I missed her sweet l-ips.. So delicious…
As we were k-ssing, we were interrupted by Elena… She was surprised to see me and Monica together..
Elena ➡ Wow… This is…. Awkward..

I couldn’t believe it… Monica was pregnant with my child all this time? My mother is going to go crazy with joy… As we were all surprised by Monica’s pregnancy, We heard the horns and beeping of car as they parked in front of the house .. As we came out, We saw Monica’s father and that friend of hers.. It didn’t take me long to realize they were here of Monica, I wanted to scram but Monica held me tight and close.. As her father approached us.. He gave me a stern look before looking at his daughter..

Williams ➡ Monica first of all I want to apologize for what’s happened to you.. I shouldn’t have forced you to wed Gabriel and I’m happy you didn’t.. Thanks to Teresa, your life is safe, Penelope and her accomplice will no longer bother you ever again.. I’ve made sure of that.. And secondly.. No need to bother you with what happened after that… A week later, Monica and I got married.. It wasn’t much of a wedding because Monica and I agreed it should be discreet only friends and family only.. Monica decided to stay in Kano with me but we didn’t stay in my house.. Her father bought a big house foe the both of us.. With his help, he expanded my business and before long I was selling food crops across the country..
I didn’t forget about my friends either, I also put in a good word for Abubakar and Mr. Williams also helped his business but Abubakar used the money to change to another business which was rearing of cattles and his business was successful as ever..
After our marriage, Monica and I lived happily with each other.. Six month later, She had given birth a baby girl.. My mom was so happy that she decided to watch over the child for us.. Monica quit her job after that.. But she also helped and gave me tips about running the business and as always it worked..
I couldn’t ask for a better life than this, as They say God works in mysterious way.. Who would have thought saving Monica would change my life like this.. I never expected anything in return but it seems Fate had something greater in store for me.. And as always being a good Samaritan never fails because the more good you do.. The greater the good will comes your way.
