Susan Revenge

Susan Revenge episode 7

SUSAN’S REVENGE 😡
💥 Episode 7 💥

I couldn’t explain how excited I was when I received my first salary. Oh my goodness! I was on top of the world. I had survived one month in Queens high school and Mr George never knew I existed. It was awesome.

Thank God for the spiritual mask. It was really doing alot in hiding me. Who am I kidding? Someday Mr George would definitely come for me and the best thing I could do was to prepare myself.

Truth be told, I was confused on what God was doing. First, I thought I was on a mission and the next thing. I’m simply making money. Yeah! Cool money.

Four months had gone and yet, Mr George was yet to approach me. Sometimes we saw each other. He wasn’t interested in me one bit. He had a flock of girls around him.

Thank God for that.

I went shopping and bought some beautiful gowns and skirts. When I appeared in school, my female collegues were all over me.

“Suzy! You look so breath taking!”

“Baby girl! I’m falling in love with you already!”

“Where did you get that dress?”

I was on top of the world. I remembered how I was a beauty queen during high school. I was so happy I still am.

“Susan! I’ve got to admit, you look so beautiful in this blue gown”, Sophia said to me.

“You haven’t seen anything yet. Wait and see the gown I would put on tomorrow”, I replied.

“You need to show me the place where you got all these pretty gowns. They’re so colourful!”

“Thank you!” I chuckled.

I didn’t know Holy Ghost was looking at me from a distance. I was feeling unrest within, but I comforted myself with the fact that I pray for Mr George everyday.

Baba, I have really tried. I pray for my enemies. It’s not easy, at least congratulate me for that one first.

The inner voice was silent and the stupid me waved him off. I knew what he wanted. But I was not ready to walk into trouble. He was telling me it’s time to share God’s word with Mr George. No be me oh.

I’m still enjoying my salary. I have more fancy dresses on my achievement list to buy. If I start a war with Mr George, my salary and other yummy privileges may go AWOL.

The next day, God proved to me he was smarter. I dressed to finish everybody that day. I wore the gown I promised Sophia and cat walked into the staffs office.

Unluckily for me, Mr George was there. See me see trouble. He don see me ooooo! I’m in soup! I’ve been hiding myself all these while, but my fashion sense had given me away.

“He was having a word with Mr Wilson in the hallway, when I walked in. My dress was so beautiful and colourful that you needed to look a second time.

“Wow! Who’s this beauty?” He said grinning.

The Devil is smiling at me. Na me do myself. It won’t be long before he comes looking for me.

“Susan, get ready to lose your job!” I said inwardly as I bent my knees slightly in greeting.

“Good morning sir!”

“Hello beautiful! How are you doing?” George smiled.

“Fine!” I said with eyes facing the ground.

“Please look up so I can see your face!” Came his reply.

“Please, can someone tell this guy I’m here to teach? Which one is look up so I can see your face? Am I Television?” I did inwardly.

Slowly, I lifted my head to face him.

“Wow!” He grinned.

“Please come over! What’s your name beauty?” He asked stretching out his hand for a hand shake.

All through the intro, Mr Wilson was silent. He was frowning at Mr George, but the guy was not bordered by it.

As I got close, I reached out to shake his hand, but Mr Wilson stopped me, grabbing my wrist.

“George, this girl is not one of your side chicks. She’s a special one. A Christian! A real one! Leave her alone!” He said.

I could hear George’s laughter filling the hallway. What was amusing in what Mr Wilson said? I felt like giving this man a slap across his face, but that would be the end of my job.

“I’m so glad you said a real Christian, because a bunch of you are fake. Infact, all of you are fake!” He said and continued laughing.

Mr Wilson and I watched in silence until he regained himself.

“Mr George! She is not one of those girls you use for pleasure. She’s….

“Enough of this nonsense!” He interrupted.

We both flinched and looked at him. His eyes were burning with hatred and anger.

“Let her prove it herself. I’ve see too many crooks. If she’s real, nobody needs an intro”, He said and walked away.

I don enter trouble oh! Lord, I’m tendering my resignation letter”.

“SUSAN, RESIST THE DEVIL.
I HAVE NOT GIVEN YOU A SPIRIT OF FEAR, BUT OF BOLDNESS, OF LOVE AND OF A SOUND MIND”, came the gentle whisper.

Those words were like fuel. They stirred up a boldness within me. I smiled and turned to Mr Wilson who had a worried expression.

“Chioma!” The name escaped his l-ips.

“What about her?” I asked resisting the my sadness.

“She stood! She resisted him, but gave in when the pressure was too much. I thought she was going to prove Jesus to that man. I thought she was going to make him see we are not a bunch of pretenders. I thought she was going to pull him to Jesus, but she lost the battle”.

I looked at him with shock written on my face. It dawned on me that God sent me to finish a battle Chioma started.

“I started praying to God to send one more. Lord send one more to shut the enemies that mock you day and night. Lord send one more to put an end to this shame and disgrace”.

He blinked his eyes and tears cascaded down his checks. He turned and faced me. Taking my hand, he looked into my eyes.

“And then, you came”, He said and walked out leaving me in the hallway.

I was surprised beyond words. I came into a battlefield. A war where God and the Holy Angels were watching every move. But I came and started thinking it was a fashion show. I came to represent the constitution of heaven and bring glory to the name of God, but I was wasting precious time.

To be continued…….
