Getting home, Dominic made sure Chantel ate before going to her room.

Dominic turn to leave but she held his sleeve. He looked at her wondering what she wanted.

Dominic held her hand then caress it gently. “Of course” he said.

Laying beside him, Chantel draw herself close to him. His scent and warthm calm her emotion. He placed his hand on her waist drawing her close.

“You said you wanted to tell me something” Chantel muttered with her eyes slowly closing.

“That will be tomorrow, sleep now wife” Dominic whisper kissing her head.

With this, she felt her eyes closing itself. All she needed was warmth.

After a while, her breath become steady, Dominic look down at the sleeping woman before him. Seeing her hurtful face made his blood boils

While the Galaxy show was around the corner, Henry finally return back to school. Though, he still have a bandage on his head but can still manage.

Henry ignored him and made to leave but Ryan stopped him placing his hand on his chest.

“The fuck!” Quill snapped behind him and walk closer to hit Henry too.

“Don’t you dare” Henry warned and Quill stopped.

“August 8, 5pm. At the school janitor’s room. Does that sound familiar to you?” Henry asked.

Ryan frowned at the date. How the fuck does he know? Henry walk closer and draw his lips to Ryan’s ear.

“Did you enjoy sexually abusing that poor girl?” Henry asked and Ryan’s face turn paled.

“Stay the fuck away from me, or your dad will find out” Henry smirked before walking pass him. He knowingly hit Rayn’s shoulder using his.

“What did he say?” Quill asked.

“Nevermind, let’s go” Ryan face turn cold before leaving.

Chantel and Laila rushed in. The worried look on their faces was replaced with relief when they spot her.

“What happened?” Laila asked.

Matilda sighed before explaining everything to them. How she fell for a gangster. The grudge Gabriel had against Dominic’s. How she let him have his way with her even when she knows Gabriel might hurt Chantel and finally, she told them how Dominic adopt her.

“I’m so sorry, I should have told you your life is in danger. The accident was caused by Gabriel. He was actually using it against Mr Winfrey. I’m so sorry I let myself get carried away by his sinful touch” Matilda sniffed once.

Chantel face went down completely. Gabriel, Dominic, and everything she heard was still digesting in her.

“Dominic said he’ll pardon me if I tell you everything.. I’m sorry Chant” Matilda said.

Chantel stood up, “I have to go”

“Chantel!” Laila called after her but she left already.

Dominic was busy going through some files when his office door opened. Just with one look, he knew Chantel found out.

She walk towards him and stopped before him. “Why didn’t you tell me?” She asked.

“I thought hearing it from her will be better” Dominic replied calmly.

“You didn’t tell me the accident could have been me. Why would you keep quiet about such a thing?”

Dominic stood and walk to stand before her. “I’m sorry” he said those words again.

She raised her brow. “You’re acting weird these days, you’re beginning to creep me out”

Dominic closed his eyes at her words. This woman!

“How do you want me to act then?” He asked.

“Act like the most ruthless billionaire, just like how everyone think of you. You acting like this is beginning to get alarming. Did you do something behind my back?” She asked.

Chantel walked closer, her face inches from him. Dominic blinked repeatedly, the woman’s aura just changed.

“Why do you always aim there?” He couldn’t help but asked.

“Because no man who wanna lose it” she replied.

“Okay, I was just teasing yoy? But why are you so riled up? You don’t want me and yet you don’t want me to be with another girl”

“That’s because you’re married to me. People outside will get wrong idea about it” she said quickly.

“Hmm, I can be careful and let no one find out” he smirked enjoying the way he is teasing her.

He lead her into his personal elevator without replying.

“I’m not hungry, I had lunch already so I’m heading home” Chantel said as she watch him press the ground button.

“Exactly” Dominic grin handsomely.

Before she could refuse, Dominic drag her close and crash his lips on hers. He couldn’t help but do it since her lips had been calling for his attention. She didn’t push him away, she wrapped her arm around his neck responding to it.

Dominic held her waist close, he slid his tongue in tasting what he missed so much.

The elevator opened revealing a female worker who was just passing by. She saw the scene and the file drop down from her hand.

Her boss is kissing a woman?.. that’s a once in a lifetime scene.

Chantel was the one break the kiss when she noticed the door was opened. She blushed hard spoting the worker.

Dominic also look at the worker and gave her a look as if asking why she is still there?

The female worker quickly composed herself and walk away.

Dominic return his gaze to Chantel then her out while holding her hand.

Workers in the company couldn’t help both stare at them here and there. Though they recognized Chantel but never thought their cold boss will be holding her this way.

Getting into the car, Dominic gave a nose mask to her and wore one himself then drive off to a close by restaurant.

“We’ve seen the picture of the woman who visited your wife” Marcus men informed over the phone.

The picture of the person was sent to him, he recognized the person instantly. Chantel.

“How dare she” Marcus clinching his jaw hard. His surely going to make her pay for it.

Meanwhile Chantel was with Dominic watching him eat as he had said.

‘Most he be handsome in whatever he does?’ she couldn’t help but admire his beauty.

Dominic raised his gaze to her. “I guess I’m so handsome, you can’t look away” he commented.

“Tssk.. keep your pride to yourself. They are more handsome men out the there” she scoffed.

“But I’m the only one who stole your heart” he said.

“What made you think you steal my heart? You’re just too proud of yourself really?” She shook her head lightly.

The waitress come again and place fried chicken steaks before her. Her favorite!

“You should eat too, even if it’s just a little” he said.

“I told you I’m not hungry” she said but then look at the food calling her attention. How the hell did he know her favorite?

“I heard it from Katerina” he answered her unspoken question.

“My mom told you? When did you guys get close?” She asked.

“Recently, she’s such a nice woman” Dominic said eating from food. “Eat” he said after swallowing.

“I’m not hungry” She said.

“Okay” he shrugged then stretch his hand to take the chicken but the woman slapped his hand away.

“Argh! What was that for?” He pouted.

“I said I wasn’t hungry but I never said I’m not going to eat it. Beside it look good just to be wasted” she rolled her eyes.

“Who told you I was going to waste it? I was planning to throw them all into my stomach” Dominic said.

“Gosh, you’re not even romantic at all” She shook her head in disbelief.

Dominic chuckled without replying. He watch the Chantel take her first bite.

“OMG!!! I feel like I’m in heaven. This is so good!” She exclaimed.

“Gosh, glutton” Dominic muttered.

“What did you say?” She asked.

“Nothing” he quickly replied.

By the time they were done, it was getting dark already. Chantel have this satisfactory look on her face. She was full making her walk slowly.

“I can’t believe you ordered two more plates. I thought you were not hungry” Dominic scoffed as they walk out into an open place.

“Yeah I wasn’t but I can’t stop eating those steaks. They are so good. I’ll come here everyday for lunch” she said with a smile.

“Sure, it’s mine anyway” He said.

“Yours? You mean you own this restaurant?” She blinked severally.

“Hm” he replied. “I gotta go back to work and finish something. You should head home with my driver. I’ll follow Enzo” He informed.

Chantel noticed Enzo waiting across the street. He greeted her with a light bow and she waved at him.

“Okay bye then” she answered.

Dominic swiftly peck her lips causing her to blush hard.

Unknown to them, there was a paparazzi stalking Chantel. He quickly capture the scene. Chantel’s face was clear while the man who kissed her wasn’t.

“The cheap bitch is even cheating while married” The photographer scoffed before driving off before he could be spotted.

Dominic watch Chantel’s car drive off before he walked towards Enzo who have this crazy smile on his face.

“What are you smiling about?” Dominic asked.

“I’m just glad, this marriage work out” Enzo shrugged opening the door for him.

Before, the car could move, Dominic spot someone familiar but then ignored it.

Chantel couldn’t help the smile on her face. Her moment with Dominic just kept lingering in her mind. She can’t believe they’ve gotten this close.

She bought out her phone and decided to text him.

*HEY DEMON, THANKS FOR THE LUNCH TODAY*

Just after she sent the message, her phone went off.

“Shit!” She cursed forgetting her battery was so low and there was no charger.

A car came in front of them all of a sudden and the driver quickly stopped the car.

The driver cursed under his breath before turning to check Chantel first. “Miss are you okay?” He asked.

“Yeah, I’m fine” Chantel replied staring at the car which appeared all of a sudden.

The driver decided to check on the person, Chantel came down too.

“Hello” The driver knock on the car’s window. He repeated the same action thrice but no reply.

Just then, a guy wearing a black mask appeared and shove a sedative into the driver’s neck.

He turn his slowly turn his head to Chantel. There was a gun on his right hand.

Chantel saw this and turn to run but two gunshots sounded…
