Dianna’s POV
“…..Lullaby and good night,
Those blue eyes close tight
Bright angels are near,

With fair dreamland’s sweet charm” I sang Bella to sleep slowly rocking her in her crib
“Is she asleep?” I heard Eric ask as he walked in
“Yeah she is” I said as I stood up
“That song, I remember it, it’s same as the one mother used to sing for us thousand years ago when we were kids” Eric said and I nodded
“Yeah and strangely it always calms her down and send her to sleep” I said and Eric smiled
“Well it’s good she’s asleep cause Eva just found out Ivan’s location and he’s at the Mansion, our Mansion” Eric stated
“Good, stay here and take care of Bella” I said as I packed my hair into a ponytail and wore my shoe
“What? Eva can take care of Bella, I am coming with you” Eric said
“You saw what happened this morning, both Ivan and Gia are aiming for my child and rather than having only Eva look out for her safety, I’d prefer to have my immortal brother here protecting her too” I said
“But going to meet Ivan alone, it’s dangerous Dianna and Gia could be there too” Eric said
“Dangerous as it may be, they still have no weapon to kill me so I’ll be fine perhaps, I still remain the eldest Hammington and I am no weakling” I said and I grabbed a dagger from my shelf
“Fine but be careful Dianna, Bella and I will be waiting for your return” Eric said and I smiled
“I’ll be back” I said and walked out
Ivan’s POV
“Did it work?” I asked immediately Layla and Ethan stopped chanting the spells
“Have I ever carried out any spell that didn’t work?” Layla asked
“It worked, we deflected their locator spell to the Hammington Mansion” Ethan said
“Good, I’m off then” I said as I made to leave but Gia stopped me
“Where are you going?” she asked
“Isn’t it obvious? To the Mansion just like Dianna would be right now”
“I’m going with you” she said
“No Gia, this is strictly between Dianna and I” I said
“And how sure are you that she’ll be coming alone, what if she brings Eva and Eric along with her?” Gia asked
“Then I’ll know that Dianna Hammington has transformed into a coward, either way I’ll deal with whatever the outcome turns out to be” I said but Gia blocked my path
“There’s no way I am letting you go out there alone to meet Dianna, it’s too dangerous, I am definitely coming with you Ivan” she said
“What the hell is wrong with you Gia?! Step aside now!!” I yelled
“We are a team Ivan, you aren’t going anywhere without me” Gia said and I sighed
“Fine” I said as I moved closer to her, grabbed her head and twisted her neck
She fell down unconscious and Layla and Ethan looked at me surprised
“When she wakes up, tell her I said sorry, I work better alone” I said and walked out…
I stood in front of the Mansion I once called home, it still looked exactly the same
I walked in and everything was exactly how we left it that day, plates on the table and the remnant of a spell all over the floor
“Hello brother” I heard Dianna’s voice and I turned back to see her standing right in front of me
“Dianna” I called
“You are here alone” she said
“Did you expect to see Gia too?” I asked and she smiled
“How is she doing?” she asked
“Why ask like you care? You didn’t see her for six months and you never once tried to look for her”
“I didn’t have the time, I was nursing my baby perhaps I knew she was safe” she said and I scoffed
“You were nursing your baby? The same baby you neglected and destroyed your family for?”
“I didn’t destroy the family, that day, I had to do what was necessary, it wasn’t easy for me either but the Gates were open and the demons were escaping, what I did was the only way to close The Hell Gates and stop the rest of the demons from escaping into the City” she said
“And how safe is this City from the demons you sacrificed her just to keep at bay, are we not still fighting the same demons now?!!” I yelled
“Ivan….”
“If the only way to close The Hell Gates back then was by sacrificing your baby, would you have still made the same choice?” I asked and she was quiet
“Would you have still made the same choice Dianna?!! Would you have thrown your baby inside The Hell Gates just to stop the demons from escaping?!!” I yelled
“Of course not!!” she yelled back “I suffered to give birth to that baby and there was no way I was ever going to let anything happen to her!”
“Did you forget Dianna? You didn’t suffer alone, we all fought to protect the baby and we birthed her together, did you forget? Aria had linked us all together and as she ripped the baby from your tummy, we felt every little bit of the pain you felt, did you forget?!!!” I yelled and I heard her sigh
“I know Ivan, I did not forget, I remember how you all fought ferociously just to make sure nothing happened to my baby, she was our hope Ivan and we were all happy about her coming and she’s here now so why are we still on opposite sides Ivan, why are we against each other? I…. I named her Bellatrix, that is your little niece’s name Ivan, her name is Bellatrix Hammington” Dianna said
“I do not care about her name” I said
“Ivan please! Please stop all this! We’ve lived a thousand years and we’ve had disagreement and we’ve fought but not to the point of wanting each other dead? We’ve always placed family above all and we’ve always fought for each other no matter what, I know Sophie’s death hurt…..”
“Do not mention her name!!!” I yelled
“You know absolutely nothing Dianna, just because Sophie’s life wasn’t important to you, you sacrificed her life when we could have found another way out, you sacrificed her life to stop some damn demons from escaping! I would’ve killed each and every demon trapped in the Hell Gates just to make sure she lives but you didn’t even wait to here another alternative, why wait for another solution when you could just sacrificed the only lady I have come to love in a thousand years because hell, who cares about Ivan’s feelings?!”
“I am sorry Ivan” she said
“Your apology solves nothing! Your apology doesn’t bring her back from the trenches of hell that you condemned her to! Your apology doesn’t change the fact she’s dead and is suffering in hell each passing moment!! You condemned her to such a terrible fate and I will do the same for you Dianna” I said
“Come on Ivan, stop all this, please” she said
“Did you say I should stop all this? I have not even started Dianna, you absolutely do not know what I have in store for you”
“What else are you gonna do? Kill me? I expected that” she said and I shook my head
“Killing you just like that will be me showing you a mercy you do not deserve, I will conjure the weapon strong enough to kill an immortal and I will make you go through the pain of loosing everyone you care about, I’ll start with Eva, then Eric and then your little girl, what did you say her name was? Oh yeah, Bellatrix, I will kill her too”
“You wouldn’t dare!!!” she yelled
“Well watch and see Dianna, you know I don’t say things that I do not mean, I will make you feel the exact pain I felt if not more and then unlike you, I’ll finally decide to be merciful and kill you off”…..

Gia’s POV
I opened my eyes to see Layla staring at me with a smile plastered on her face
“What the bloody hell happened? And where is Ivan?” I asked as I sat up
“He left and he said to tell you that he’s sorry but he works better alone” Layla said and I stood up
“What?! I must go meet them” I said but Layla grabbed my arm
“Why are you so keen on going to meet them, Ivan said he’ll handle Dianna alone so you should let him” she said
“You do not know my brother more than I do Layla, as much as everyone sees him to be this wild beast, he cares alot about those he calls family, when it comes to family the beastly Ivan Hammington is softhearted, that’s why I have to be there to prevent Dianna from brainwashing him and to remind him of why we are doing this” I said and Layla looked at me puzzled
“You are afraid” she said “But I don’t understand, why are you afraid of Ivan giving up on this revenge? Why are you so hellbent on getting revenge for Sophie and killing your own siblings? What’s in it for you Gia?”
“Think whatever you want Layla, I’m out” I said as I jerked her hand off and walked out
Ivan’s POV
“I do not want to fight you but you are living me no choice Ivan” Dianna said
“I don’t mind fighting you Dianna, come on, let’s see if you still have that fiery beast within you” I said and Dianna clenched her fist and her whole body began to exude flames
“Well come on Ivan Hammington, what are you waiting for?” she said and I smiled and removed both my gloves revealing both my flaming and lightening hand
We ran towards each other and Dianna immediately grabbed my throat with her flaming hand and I punched her in the stomach with my hand exuding lightening and she was sent sprawling on the floor
“You’ve lost your touch Dianna, where is the powerful fiery beast I used to know?” I asked as she stood back up
“I was just warming up Ivan and since you’ve prove to have no emotional sentiment left towards your family, I won’t be going easy on you too” Dianna said as she walked towards me
Eva’s POV
I walked upstairs to Dianna’s room and I met Bella asleep and Eric staring through the window that overlooked the street of Arcane City
“The City isn’t what it used to be again huh?” I asked and he turned back and looked at me
“Well I remember it to be such a booming City with the streets full of people going about their own business but now it’s just empty street where you barely see anyone” Eric said.
“And it’s going to remain this way, until we’ve killed each and everyone of those demons” I said and Eric nodded
“Is something wrong?” I asked
“What?”
“You look like something’s on your mind” I said
“Well no, I am….. I am just worried about Dianna” he said
“Do you know what it means to channel someone Eric? It means I’ll be connecting to you to use you as a power source to drive my spell and for that to happen, there should be no kind of barriers between us including memory barrier, what I mean is when I channelled you this morning, I saw a glimpse of your memory, I saw the moment you saw Gia this morning and I could sense the worry coming from you when I saw that memory, what is it Eric? Do you still have a really soft spot in you for Gia? Do you think she’s going to be posing a threat to you?” I asked
“No Eva you got it wrong, I am worried but not worried about myself or whatever kind of emotions I harbour for Gia, I am worried about Gia herself, I feel she’s not the Gia I used to know, I feel she’s changed” Eric uttered
“Of course she’s changed Eric, she’s against us and wants to kill us, she’s with Ivan and anyone with Ivan is our enemy!” I reminded
“You all think the main character in this fight is Ivan but I do not think so” Eric said
“What do you mean?”
“The demons roaming around, the empty and dark street of the City and even Gia’s appearance, her new short hair and the Viper tattoo on her shoulder, all this situation, they look all too familiar Eva, everything happening now shares a lot of similarities with what happened when I was in Gia’s death slumber, only difference is I am not dead yet because I according to the death slumber, Gia killed me, along with Dianna’s baby” Eric said
“So you think Gia is really living her worst nightmare right now?” I asked
“I don’t think so Eva I know so”
“Well I think you are wrong Eric, I don’t think Gia is living her worst nightmare because no one is forcing her to do anything, if she was uncomfortable being with Ivan and against her family then she could have easily switched over and come to you guys” I said
“Even in her nightmare Eva, Gia was a fighter, one that kills people mercilessly not because she enjoys it but because she had put herself at the mercy of Micheal, the one who controls her” Eric stated
“So you think just like in her nightmare, someone in the shadows is pulling her strings and making her do the things she’s doing?”
“I really hope not but that is what I suspect Eva” Eric said
Ivan’s POV
Dianna and I stood back up from the ground and we were both really angry, we were just wearing each other out because none of us could win the other
She had made a big slash on my arm with her danger and I had broken her arm bone, then I broke the wood of a chair and plunged it into heart but she managed to remove it, plunging it back into my stomach
But neither of that stopped us, we were both going to heal anyway
“Don’t tell me you already are tired” I said
“Not even in your dreams” she said and I suddenly saw two black smoky figures fly into the Mansion and towards Dianna
“Out of the way!!” I yelled as I caught one of the demons with my fiery hand and their was a loud shriek as the demon dissipated and by the time I was done with the first demon, the second had entered Dianna’s body and she fell on the floor unconscious
It was then I knew, the second demon wasn’t as weak as the first one I just killed, the second demon was a potentes, a powerful demon capable of possession, Dianna has been possessed……
