Eric’s POV
“No!!!”
“Gia!!!”
“I am going to kill you!!”
” I will rip out your heart!!”

I screamed as the thunder rumbled
My whole body exuded lightening at the ice wall and it began to break down

“Gia!!!” I screamed more as my lightening intensified and the center of the ice wall broke down

I quickly ran through the broken ice wall but Gia was no longer there and I had no idea which direction she took from the crossroad

“No, no, Ahhhhh!!!!!” I screamed as I went on my knees
The rumbling of the thunder intensified and clouds went dark, then it suddenly started raining heavily with the rain covering up the tears that ran down my face

Ivan’s POV
It suddenly began to rain as I drove to our hideout with Dianna

It was raining so heavily I could barely see where I was driving to so I had to stop the car

“This doesn’t seem like an ordinary rain, this is Eric happening” Dianna said

“He probably lost Gia for him to be this angry” I said

“He is not just angry, he’s sad and depressed too, he did love Eva and now, she is dead killed by his own twin sister” Dianna said and I nodded

“I guess you and Gia do have that in common now, you two have a knack for killing your brother’s lovers and leaving them utterly alone and depressed” I said and Dianna sighed

“I’m sorry Ivan, I know you will never forgive me but I am going to keep apologizing” Dianna said

“Eric should better stand his ass up and let the rain stop, it’s suffocating being in this car with someone I want to kill” I said

The rain soon lessened a bit and I started the car and drove to our hideout

I walked in with Dianna and met Layla and Eric seated on the couch and they both stood up immediately we walked in

“I thought you went to kill Dianna, so what the bloody hell is she doing here?” Ethan asked

“Is that…..”

“Sophie’s younger brother Ethan, he’s the current Guardian of The Hell Gates and yes, if you want to work with us to get Gia and your daughter, it is him you have to convince, you killed his sister after all” I said

“Work with us? Why the bloody hell will she be working with us?! She’s our enemy, she’s supposed to be dead!!” Ethan yelled

“A lot has happened since I went out to kill her Ethan” I said

“Oh no” Layla said as she stared at me

“Why….why is she staring at you like that?” Dianna asked

“That’s Layla and she’s reading my mind” I said

“I knew it Ivan, I knew it, I told you Gia is not to be trusted, when I couldn’t read her mind, I know she had something up her sleeves, she must told her witches cast some kind of mind blocking spell so I couldn’t decipher what exactly she was thinking” Layla said

“What are you talking about? Where is Gia?” Ethan asked

“Gia is never coming back here Ethan” I said

“What do you mean by she’s never coming back here?” Ethan asked

“She betrayed us” I said “She was never working with us instead she was working with Adrian Hunter against us, they wanted to be the King and Queen of the city so they used us to get all what was needed to conjure the golden dagger, the night you lost consciousness Ethan it wasn’t because of your powers, it was due to a spell Gia asked her witches to cast on you so she could take a few drops from the blood we obtained for the spell and now there are two golden daggers, one is with her and the other, the one we made, it’s with Eric” I said

“Eric?! Why will our golden dagger be with your immortal brother?!” Ethan asked

“Gia killed Eva, the head of the witches who happens to have occupied a space in Eric’s heart and as Gia ran away with Dianna’s baby, Eric took the dagger from me and went after Gia and right now, we do not know where either of them is that’s why Dianna suggested we work together to get them” I said

“I am all for killing Gia and punishing her for deceiving us all but working with Dianna, never Ivan, not when she kill my sister!!” Ethan yelled

“Ethan…..”

“Do not utter my name with your bloody mouth!!” Ethan yelled at Dianna

“Calm down Ethan, you should know Ivan wants revenge for Sophie’s death as much as you do, they’ve made a deal, one which you will get the revenge you so much want in the end” Layla said

“What….. what deal is that?” Ethan asked

“Obviously, I am the one that’s desperate for your help right now as it will take a longer time to find my baby alone and I cannot let Gia harm my baby, so I made a promise to Ivan, if he helps me find my little girl and allow me see her one more time, I won’t fight against you anymore, I will let you kill me and have your revenge” Dianna said

“You expect me to believe that, you conniving liar!!” Ethan yelled

“She is not lying Ethan!!” Layla yelled at Ethan
“I can read her mind and she’s totally being truthful, she’s not deceiving any of you, she just wants her child to be alive and safe even if that means she has to die, she will gladly lay her life for her daughter, that is how strong the love of a mother for her child is” Layla explained

“Please Ethan, Ivan said I have to convince you before he agrees to my deal, I know this will probably make no difference to you as it meant nothing to Ivan too but I am sorry for sacrificing your sister, I made a……”

“Do not mention my sister!!!” Ethan yelled
“You want us to work with you and help you bring back your daughter and in return you lay your life to us? Fine, we’ll accept your deal but I still do not trust you and I don’t think I ever will so I’ll be taking a precaution” Ethan said as he moved closer to Dianna and grabbed her hand

“No Ethan don’t!!” Layla said as Ethan began to cast a spell on Dianna and Dianna screamed and fell on the floor

“What did you do Ethan?” I asked

“I just took a little precaution in case she plans on going against her words” Ethan said as Dianna stood back up

A figure began to appear on Dianna’s arm and she looked at Ethan
“What did you to me?”

“He put you under a hex, the raging hex” Layla stated

“What?! The raging hex?! Same hex that Aria casted on Eric that made him become a bloodthirsty beast and almost made him go mad?!” Dianna asked

“Don’t worry, I made some modification to your hex so you won’t be going mad just yet but you will the day you set your eyes on your daughter again so even if you plan on running away after we save your daughter, you will become a bloodthirsty monster that has no control over her powers and you will end up killing your daughter yourself” Ethan said with a smile…….

Gia’s POV
I didn’t know where Adrian is and I knew my supposed siblings were all going to be on my tail so I needed to cover my tracks quickly
I drove to the outskirts of the City to a powerful witch Adrian had once introduced me to, Maya

It suddenly began to rain heavily but I drove on, I must get to Maya

I stopped the car in front of Maya’s little cottage and I carried Dianna’s baby and walked in

“Hey Maya” I said as I walked in

“It’s the icy Hammington, what are you doing here with a baby? Did Adrian finally knock you up?” Maya joked as I sat in front of her

“Not funny Maya, you know I am immortal and thus, unable to procreate” I said and she nodded

“Of course, of course, what brought you here without Adrian?” she asked

“Things happened Maya, I have no idea where Adrian is and this baby, this is Dianna Hammington’s baby” I said

“You mean your sister as in the eldest of the Hammingtons? The one with the power of the phoenix flame? She really did give birth?! I’ve heard rumors of her being impregnated by an innate one but I thought it was just rumors, so is this the legendary baby Hammington that is a born immortal?” Maya asked

“Right, yeah she is but I didn’t come here for you to fantasize about the Hammingtons baby, I came because I need your help” I said

“If this involves you and your siblings then I want no part of it Gia as I am well aware of what happens to people that participate in the Hammingtons sibling feud” Maya stated

“I am not asking you to participate in any bloody feud Maya, I just need you to cast some kind of locator blocking spell that will destroy any kind of locator spell casted to find me” I said

“I’m sure your siblings have powerful witches at their disposal, I am no match for their witches Gia, even if I do cast the blocking spell, they’ll be able to break through it” Maya said and I nodded

“I guess you are right” I muttered and Dianna’s baby suddenly began to cry

“Ohh, is she hungry? Or does she misses her Mommy?” Maya asked

“I do not care Maya, I…..” I stopped talking as I suddenly realized something

“The rumors you heard, how strong is this immortal baby supposed to be?” I asked

“Very strong apparently, she’s the last living innate one and those specie have an insurmountable amount of power, she’s an immortal and probably inherited her mother’s phoenix flame too so she’s going to be very powerful Gia, she’s going to be the most powerful witch to ever live” Maya said

“If her blood contains all the magic you mentioned then take her blood, take it and use it to power the locator blocking spell, if this baby is really as powerful as you say then they’ll never be able to find me” I said

“That’s an amazing idea Gia and it could probably work” Maya said looking excited

“Well then, get to work” I said to Maya who quickly ran around to get the stuffs she needed for the spell

Maya pricked the crying baby’s hand with a pin and she cried louder

“Shhhh, baby girl, shhh” I said as a few drops of her blood dripped down on the spell ingredients Maya had already prepared

“The spell is for you so I’ll need your blood too” Maya said

I dropped the baby on her crib and I cut my palm with a dagger letting my blood drip on Maya’s spell ingredients

She began to chant her spells and all the drops of blood began to combine and then it suddenly disappeared into the thin air

“Did it work?” I asked

“It definitely did” she smiled

“Great, I need you to perform one more spell for me, I need you to help me find out Adrian, I need to know where he is” I said

“I’ll need something that belongs to him to perform a locator spell on him” Maya said and I removed the necklace Adrian had once given me as a gift and gave it to Maya

“This will do right? He gave me this necklace” I said

“Of course, give me a minute” Maya began to perform the locator spell and soon she was done

“He’s here” Maya pointed at the place he is on the map and I nodded

“Thanks Maya, you’ve really been helpful” I said as I turned the baby’s crib to face the opposite direction so she won’t witness what is about to happen

I moved closer to Maya with the golden dagger
“Do you know what dagger this is?” I asked and Maya shook her head

“I have no idea but it looks quite bright and exquisite though” Maya said

“It’s called the golden dagger, the one that is capable of killing an immortal, I conjured it to kill my siblings so I can be the most powerful in Arcane City but I guess unlike my plan, you are going to be it’s first victim” I said as I immediately grabbed Maya and slashed her throat with the dagger

“I’m sorry Maya but you already know where I’ll be heading to an if my siblings find you and you rat me out, I am going to be dead meat and I can’t risk that”

I grabbed the baby’s crib and placed her in the backseat of the car, then I drove off to find Adrian

Dianna’s POV
I stared at the figure in my arm and sighed

“You didn’t have to go this far Ethan, I was going to keep to my words, dying means nothing to me as long as I know my baby girl will live but you are still a child and I don’t expect you to understand that so I’ll let you off for this” I said and looked at Ivan

“So does this mean we have a deal now?” I asked Ivan and he nodded

“Yes we do have a deal, we’ll work together to find Eric, Gia and your baby and then I’ll kill you myself” Ivan said

“Sounds like a plan” I nodded

“Can you perform a locator spell on Gia for me?” Ivan asked Layla

“What about her tracking map?” Layla asked

“Bloody hell, how did I forget it?!” Ivan exclaimed as he brought out the map but it was surprisingly blank

“Why is it like this?” Ivan asked and Layla collected the blank map from him

She closed her eyes and muttered some spell over the blank piece of paper

“Oh no, she’s blocked her location that’s why her tracking map cleared out” I said

“If we combine our powers, we can restore the map back can’t we?” Ethan asked Layla

“I doubt that Ethan, I do not know what witch casted this spell for Gia or what the witch used but I am sensing a very strong magic from this, stronger than any magic I’ve ever come across” Layla said

“I do not believe there’s a magical power that is more than mine, I’ll restore the map” Ethan said as he collected the blank map from Layla and began to mutter his spell
But the map suddenly caught fire and he had to let it go

“What the hell….”

“I told you it’s a very powerful magic Ethan, to counter a spell that’s this powerful you’ll need the combined powers of at least five covens of witches” Layla said and I got an idea

“I think I know a way we can get that many covens of witches to work for us” I said

“Unless you plan on controlling all the witches in the City and making them work for you, I see no way that’s happening but…..but that’s exactly what you are planning to do aren’t you?” Layla asked and I shrugged

“The head of the humans is on the run, the head of the witches, Eva Jones, she is dead, Arcane City is now left without a leader, we could use that to our advantage and get more people to work for us” I said and I turned to Ivan
“What do you say about us claiming the leadership and becoming the King and Queen of Arcane City?”……
