Ethan’s POV
I walked into the Guardian’s Cemetery and I immediately sensed that I was being followed

“Show yourself before I make you!” I said as I looked around

“I said show…..”

“Calm down, I’m right here” Dianna said as she came out from behind a tomb

“Why are you following me?” I asked

“You are looking for Drusilla and I am on the same mission as you” Dianna said

“I am not looking for Drusilla, I am looking for my golden dagger and it just happens to be with Drusilla” I stated

“Either way you need to find Drusilla before you get your dagger and I also need to find Drusilla too as I need to kill her so how about we work together” Dianna suggested

“No thank you, I work better alone” I said as I turned around and began to walk further into the cemetery

“You seem to be learning from Ivan, working alone was always like his life motto” Dianna said as she followed me

“Stop following me” I said to Dianna

“Is that why you two are now secretly working together now and meeting alone in the night? Because you two kind of have the same personality?” Dianna asked

“I said stop following me!!” I yelled as I turned around throwing a spell at her that sent her flying to the ground

“That was a big hit, your powers have really improved” Dianna said as she stood up

“And its seems you have really gotten old and lost most of your reflexes as you could’ve dodged my spell if you wanted to but you couldn’t” I said

“It’s not that I couldn’t dear Ethan, I just didn’t want to” she said and I looked at her surprised

“Why didn’t you want to?” I asked

“Because unfortunately for me, I have unknowingly began to nurture a soft spot for you so do whatever you want, I am saving my fast reflexes for when we find Drusilla” Dianna said

“Why would you have a soft spot for me? Because you killed my sister?”

“Well that’s one of the reasons” she nodded

“Well I do not want your soft spot nor sympathy, do you know why I want to get my golden dagger back so badly?” I asked

“To kill me?” Dianna asked and I nodded

“So get rid of your soft spot for me because when I fight to kill you, I want to do so squarely”

“I guess the five years we spent living together did nothing to your hatred for me” Dianna said

“It didn’t even dent it, my hatred for you still lives” I said

“But what’s the point though, you already hexed me to go crazy the day I set my eyes on my daughter” Dianna reminded

“When I placed that hex on you I thought it wouldn’t take long to find your daughter but it’s really taking longer than I expected and I am running out of patience seeing you alive everyday, what if you never see you daughter, does that mean you’ll get to live forever with me never getting my revenge? Getting the golden dagger now gives me the chance to get my revenge” I said

“You see me alive everyday doesn’t mean I am living Ethan, I lost my purpose the day I lost my daughter but right now, I finally found Eric and I must save him, he is my brother and he has sacrificed a lot for me, that is my purpose right now, to save Eric, I have also begin to lost hope of seeing my daughter after waiting for five years, I began to lose hope the moment the candle linked to her life went off, so if I really can never see my daughter again, then there’s no point in living is there? So you can go ahead and kill me when you get the your golden meanwhile, I must save Eric now” Dianna said

“I…. I was going to kill you whether you agreed to it or not so agreeing now changes nothing” I said and she slowly nodded looking around

“Why are you here by the way?” Dianna asked

“It’s the Guardian’s Cemetery and I am a Guardian” I said

“It’s also the place your sister lost her life” Dianna reminded

“And is it not a big irony that I am here with her killer? But that doesn’t matter to me, I need to track Drusilla and I am most powerful in this grounds, this cemetery is like my forte” I explained

“Yeah I heard that from Aria before, anyway, since you’ll be trying to track Drusilla from here, Layla said you’ll need this” Dianna said handing me a small bottle filled with blood
“It’s Eric’s blood” she said

“Right, I do need this, how did I forget?!”

“Layla said you haven’t been paying attention to her lessons that’s why you forgot, the old woman might be creepy and annoying sometimes especially with her mind reading stuff but she is pretty helpful is she not?” Dianna asked with a smile

“I guess she is a little bit helpful sometimes” I shrugged and continued walking into the cemetery

“Where exactly are you heading to?” Dianna asked as she followed me

“I have spot in this cemetery that’s marked with my magic, we are going there to performing the tracking spell on Drusilla” I replied

“You have a spot in this cemetery? Only dead people have spots in the cemetery Ethan not the living” Dianna reminded

“The living becomes the dead one day do they not?” I asked
“Perhaps, I am able to connect with all the Guardian’s magic from here” I said and Dianna shrugged

“Well suite yourself, as long we are able to find Drusilla in the end, I’m good”

Adrian’s POV
I sat in my room holding the black stone and the golden dagger, contemplating on the best way to escape with Bellatrix from Mordor
Gia doesn’t seem like she’s ever going to change her mind and I’m done trying to make her change my mind, she was a good partner but I won’t stand anyone being in the way of my plan, I will kill them if I have to matter, no matter who they are

I want to rule the world and I cannot do that from here, I will escape with Bellatrix tonight and if Gia tries to stop me, it is definitely not going to end well for her, I must achieve my dream at all cost

I suddenly heard some noises outside and I quickly hid the dagger and black stone and I went outside

“What’s going on here?” I asked on seeing the guards of Mordor along with Gia outside the house

“There he is, he really has a black stone and he is planning on escaping Mordor with my little daughter” Gia said to the guards pointing at me

“What the hell are you talking about Gia?” I asked confused

“You know it is illegal for anyone except the authorities to own the black stone do you not?” the guards asked

“I….I do but I have no black stone” I said

“He lies, search his room, I’m sure you’ll find one” Gia said and the guards stormed into my room

“What the hell are you trying to do Gia?!” I asked angrily

“You should be grateful that I still reserve some soft spot for you, if you were to be someone else I can would have pulled out your heart for threatening my daughter and I, no one threatens me and my daughter without getting a retaliation from me” Gia said and I stared at her, surprise written all over my face

“We found it!”
“Along with a strange looking dagger” the guards said as they walked out of my room with the black stone and golden dagger

“By the sacred laws of Mordor, you are now under arrest” the guards said as they grabbed my arms and pushing me out of the house

“I hope you enjoy your time in prison!” I heard Gia said as the guards bundled me out…..

Dianna’s POV
I stood behind Ethan as he carried out the tracking spell to get Drusilla’s location
It was very quiet in the cemetery as Ethan proceeded with his spell and I couldn’t help but remember the last I was here

I could still remember every single detail related to that day, how could I forget? That was the day that marked the beginning of my family’s doom
No matter how I thought of it, this was all my fault, right from the beginning, I assembled all my siblings in Arcane City, I began the search for The Guardian, I made all of my siblings stay by my side to fight my battles yet I ended the life of the only lady Ivan ever loved yet I didn’t learn my lesson yet, I still made Eric and Eva stick to me, protecting me and my child and Eva ended up dying because of me while Eric got caught in the web of some crazy witch, for all I have done, I do deserve death and I will die, but only after saving Eric

“Found her” Eric said as he stood up

“Where is she?” I asked

“Right here in Arcane City, at the Mansion” Ethan said

“The Mansion? You do not mean our Mansion do you?” I asked

“Which other mansion will I be referring to?” Ethan asked

“But why would she be at the Mansion?” I asked

“More like what has she come to collect at the Mansion?” Ethan said

“Eric’s body!!” I stated as I began to run out of the cemetery
“We must get to Layla quickly!”

“I’ll try calling her” Ethan said as he ran after me

We got to my car and I drove as fast as I could
“Did she pick up?” I asked Ethan

“Seems the old woman isn’t still familiar with modern day gadgets as she isn’t picking up my damn calls! Drive faster Dianna” Ethan said

“I am going as fast as I can!” I replied as I stepped harder on the gas

Gia’s POV
I went to the kitchen to make lunch for Chloe, she had went out to play with her friends and she’s going to be back soon hungry
I began to make Chloe’s lunch and I heard the door open as she suddenly ran to where I was

“What’s wrong Chloe?” I asked as she looked disturbed

“My friends, they told my dad was arrested, is it true Mum?” Chloe asked and I hesitated for a moment

“Unfortunately it is the truth Chloe, your father was arrested, he was planning on escaping Mordor with you and without my approval” I said

“But is it a crime to want leave this place?” Chloe asked

“It is Chloe, this place so nice and peaceful, why would anyone want to leave it?”

“I want to leave this place” Chloe said

“What?!”

“I’ve always felt like there’s more to the world than Mordor, I want to see what’s outside Mordor with you and Dad” Chloe said and I stared at her for a moment

“You are still a kid Chloe, you will grow up to appreciate what we have right here in Mordor” I said

“I appreciate Mordor Mum, but it gets more and more boring for me each day” she said

“Why is it boring for you? You have friends here” I said

“My female friends are very boring Mum, the only thing they want to do is play with dolls like a princess, yesterday I left them to play with the boys in the neighborhood and we went to pick up some fruits from The Williams farm, we were chased out by their farm guard and that was most fun I have ever had, I…..”

“You played with the boys?!” I exclaimed “I’ve warned you severally not to Chloe, those boys always go about doing dangerous stuffs!”

“But that dangerous stuff excites me Mum, my heart was beating so fast when we sneaked into that farm, it was so amazing and that’s why I agree with Dad, let’s leave Mordor Mum, I’m sure there are lot of exciting things for me to do outside this place” she said

“And by exciting things do you mean dangerous things?!”

“Mum I meant….”

“Enough Chloe!!” I yelled
“It seems to me that you are not hungry so go to bed!”

“But Mum it’s afternoon” Chloe protested

“I said go to bed!!” I yelled and she ran off to her room

I sighed as I slumped on the chair
Dangerous stuff excites her? Today was the first time she reminded me of the one person I always tried to forget, Dianna

Layla’s POV
I finished my breakfast and went back to examine Eric’s body

“Poor Eric, he looks so pale” I sighed and I called one of the workers to help me take him to a room upstairs and I went to my room

I sat on my bed and I remembered Ivan, I haven’t seen that stubborn boy in weeks and he is up to something, I knew that when I read Ethan’s mind, he is planning something, I just didn’t look long enough into Ethan eyes to find out what it is he’s planning along with Ethan

There was a sudden thunder rumbling and I assumed it was probably going to rain soon but I sensed something eerie and I stood up

“Eric!”
I ran to the room he was kept but the room was empty, I searched around the house but I couldn’t find anyone, the workers were all on the floor, lifeless

I stopped in middle of the living room and took a deep breath, someone is definitely using an illusion spell here
I closed my eyes and began to mutter a spell to counter the illusion spell and by the time I opened my eyes there was a young woman with white hair standing right in front of me and she looks very familiar, too familiar

“Where is Eric?” I asked going straight to the point

“Don’t bother, he’s with me and he is safe” she said as she stared into my eyes and I quickly closed my eyes

“Do not read my mind, I do that to people and not the other way round” I said and I heard her chuckle

“Dianna said she had a mind reader friend, I guess you are the friend she was referring to, anyway, I’m off” she said and by the time I opened my eyes, she had disappeared

Moments later, Ethan and Dianna ran in
“Where is she?!” Dianna asked

“Drusilla, she came here right?” Ethan asked

“Yeah she did, she left moments ago” I said

“And Eric?” Dianna asked

“He took his body along with her” I said

“How could she succeed in taking a Eric’s body in a Mansion full of witches and while you are right here?!” Dianna asked obviously angry

“She casted a sleeping spell on the witches” I said as I pointed at some of them that were still on the floor
“And I was caught off guard”

“Caught off guard, even if you didn’t expect her to be here, you should have still done something when you noticed her presence, so much for all the lessons you gave me” Ethan said and I scoffed

“When I said I was caught off guard Ethan I didn’t mean that I wasn’t expecting her to be here, I just didn’t expect her to turn out to be my mother”……
