CHAPTER TWENTY- SIX: EVENING STROLL 2
Jing stared at him, didn’t bother to move her body, just looked at him with pure surprise ” You must be joking”
” Don’t make me talk more than necessary”
” You are serious?” He furrows his brows at that and I nod my head “Alright, I should dress properly and…..” He didn’t let me finish my sentence before grabbing my hands and taking me out of my quarters ” Where are we headed ”
” South”
” South?” I look at him “You mean the old castle?”
” Indeed ” he smiled down at me “It’s been a while since I checked that place, the walk there will be quite long give us enough time to talk”
” Talk?” I repeat his words “What could you possibly want to talk about?”
” A lot of things ” he let go of my hands and place his at his back while he walks ” I give you this opportunity to ask me whatever you wish to know ”
” Is they anything you’re hiding from me?”
” Jing ” he looks at me, ” you think you know everything about me?”
” Not everything” We stopped walking and I look at the sky then mumbled “It is quite strange you wished to leave the throne, I mean, who doesn’t wish to be king ”
” King?” His gaze never left my face “Do you think I am suitable to be king?”
” No ” Stepping close to him, I had to lift my head a little to meet his gaze ” You made the poor pay tax, even when you know they have nothing, absolutely nothing to even feed on ”
” And I should care?”
” Indeed, you are king, you should make your people live easier”
He nod his head ” It is my first time being King Jing ” he replied “You have no idea how difficult it is, you just sit and think, the king should do that and that ”
” Tell me why you wanted to leave and to even kill your mother?” At my question, he continued walking towards the castle ” milord ”
” What is it ?” I tried catching up
” Answer my question ”
” I simply do not wish for things to stress me ” he gave a very simple reply and am not buying it ” I have other places to go and things to do ”
” Like what ”
He stopped, turn back and look at me “You tell me Jing, why did you marry me?”
” Huh”
” I asked a simple question, who forced you to marry me?” He asked and continue walking, what did he mean like force, I was never forced, simply told that if I try running away or even reject it, war will fall on our little village, my father wanted to keep me safe but as their ruler, he had to make a different call
” My parents made me do it, that’s every story of a poor village noble daughter ”
” I see ” he mumble, I can’t help but wonder what was in his head, he just kept moving towards the castle but why? What is it that he wishes to see…..I stop thinking when it hit me, the physician, he should be in there, I never did get to see him, after what Fang said, I just trust her enough to take care of it and head back to my quarters. ” Tell me, Jing, about your mother ”
His questions took me off guard ” My mother?”
He nods “Yes, I wish to hear more about her ”
” Am afraid I have nothing to say concerning her “Clenching my hands, I try my best not to think about her, she is part of my horrible experience, and talking about her only brings back nightmares ” She never existed to me ”
” And that just made me more interested in that “We finally reached the castle, and he turn around and look at me ” Is she dead ”
” No, I mean I don’t know “Looking at him, I notice how interested he seems, his eyes filled with curiosity and this is the second time am seeing his eyes fill with emotion, first anger and now curiosity. ” Don’t look at me like that ” Saying that to him, he withdrew a little, with furrowed brows
” You hate her ”
” I do ”
” If given the chance to kill her, will you?”
” Absolutely ”
He smiles at my response as if that’s what he has been waiting for ” And that’s the same reason I wish to kill my mother ”
” You hate her?” I gasped “You two always seem so close ” he didn’t reply to that, just move closer and lean close ” What?”
” Am tired of talking, I wish not to hear more questions from your lips ”
” Milord ”
” I brought you here for two reasons ” he hold my hand and pull me into the castle” The first is to show you how stupid your work was done “We climbed the stairs, and with each footstep we take, the stairs make a cracking sound, we arrive in the hallway and step into the first room.
I gasp at the sight of the physician, his body tore into pieces, his heart, lungs, and all his internal organs are gone ” Oh my God ” I cover my mouth and step back
” Who do you think is the cause of this?” He look at me, I can’t read his expression, his face look empty of emotions ” You brought something dangerous Jing, I expect you to take care of that”
” You mean Edward?” I look at him and he smiles “You’re smiling ”
” Indeed ”
” How did you know about this?”
” I see everything, Jing,” I notice his eyes going back to black, everything thing turning black, no sign of white “You see, the second reason, I brought you here is to…”
I cut him off ” to kill me?” I step back and he chuckles loudly
” I wish I could Jing ” he covered his mouth ” am just hungry and I need a lot of it ”
” What are you?”
” Human ” he smile ” am human, just like you but I have past Jing, they did something to me “Hearing that, I stop moving back and look at him ” am affected ”
” What do you mean ” he suddenly looks sad, he moves closer and holds my hands
” I just need help Jing and trust me, you’re enough “Looking at his eyes, they are back to being void” And you shouldn’t trust everything I said, I was lying, I just need to touch your hand, now come ”
” Milord ”
” Fear not” we step out of the room “The stroll is over for tonight ” he pulls me into the next empty room, the bed clothed with spider webs, the chairs and ceiling the same
” I do not understand ” I look at him with a frown “Do you plan on suffocating me with spider webs ” My words left him confused “It won’t work ” When he processed what I said, I watch him burst into laughter.
It was the first time, I have ever really seen him laugh like this “Forgive me, my queen, I didn’t have time to prepare this room for you ” he pull me closer, his hands on my waist, I look at him and notice the look in his eyes

” Just one kiss milady ” he lift his right hand from my waist and use his finger to rob my lips ” I would prefer to do this in my chamber ” he mumble gently, his voice suddenly husky, my face must be completely flushed right now ” you look beautiful Jing” he whispered to my ears ” God, I might just do something else” his lips are placed on my neck, he kept on inhaling my scent ” can I bite ?”
” Bite?”
” Yes milady, before I kiss you, let me give you a hickey” he didn’t wait for my response before sinking his teeth into my body, I gasp out of pain, his both hands grab my arse and I gasp out die yo pleasure and the fact that am not putting on any underwear.
It’s weird, I could Muchen drinking my blood, why won’t he stop? ” Muchen?” I try struggling but he hold both hands with just his left, I was starting to feel dizzy by the time, he step back, and I blink at his face.

She moves gently on the bed, while I sit beside her, watching how her eyes lid switches each time her hands move, she does look cute when sleeping, so beautiful when her mouth is closed, and quiet too.
Standing up, I look through the window, at the moon and stars, when last did I feel so full and satisfied, not about the blood but with life, I feel like I have no problems anymore, I have completely forgotten why I wanted to kill that bastard of a woman and step down as king.
They are many reasons but it’s quite simple, I hate the woman’s gut, and killing her will be an easy way for the council to dethrone me, or maybe try to even punish me for touching the queen dowager.
I planned that simple, really simple but then she kissed me, oh she fucking kisses me when I least expected it, making my other sides more dominant.
Why will someone be that hung up on you for fifteen straight years? Oh, I mean five…..but I understand how she felt, it has happened to my brother before, averting my eyes from the sky, I lean on the wall and stare at her, I know how someone can die from being in touch with the one their heart chooses.
” I understand it all ” closing my eyes, hands clench ” I get every single thing” but this doesn’t mean I hate love, oh no, am not that traumatized or something, I don’t see it as a waste of time either.

Those were her last words before I died, I didn’t get the chance to respond to that, I couldn’t even react with my life sweeping away so fast “Hm” Jing made slight noise that brought me back from my past, full moons tend to make me think silly things.
Moving closer, I notice she sit up immediately her eyes open, I watch her look around the room before meeting my gaze ” You’re awake ” I mumble and she frowns a little
“Am in my chamber ”
” Indeed” I give her a confused look ” are you okay?”
” I thought we were in the old castle ”
” Why will I go there?”
” For a stroll, you…
” She stops talking when I sit on the bed, next to her and touch her forehead “Milord”
” You don’t have a fever” I look at her ” I did ask for a stroll but you heat up so much and passed out, I have been waiting for you to wake up”
” Impossible” she lifts her hand and touches her head “It felt so real and the bite, yes the bite “Her hands move to her neck but the ting bites already healed up.
” Bites?” I mumble “Did you have a nightmare, my queen?”
” It wasn’t a nightmare, it seem so real and the physician was killed, he was eaten by a ghoul and then you pull me to another room, draw me close and bite my neck, right here ” she use her hand to demonstrate ” you drank my blood, like….like ”
” A vampire?” I complete her sentence and she nods her head “Don’t be silly Jing, I would never drink of your blood and vampires don’t walk under the sun ”
” You’re right ” she finally calmed down ” must be a dream ”
” Of course ” I watch her lay down back on her bed, eyes closed, I know she is still thinking about it, lifting the bedspread a little, I lay down next to her, she turns around and looks at me
” Why?”
‘” You don’t expect me to go back to my chambers this late” I mumble and she didn’t reply “Wait, you do?”
” No, it’s not that” her voice became a little too calm ” am just confused, what if you become a vampire, what if am seeing a vision of your future self ” Her eyes meet and she move closer ” What will happen to you ”
I frown “What’s so wrong with being a vampire Jing ”
” Vampires drink human blood ” she look so disgusted by it ” I hate it ” her words for so e reasons hurt me badly ” I don’t want you to become a monster, not a ghoul, wizard, vampire, or lycanthrope, I want you to remain humans” I watch the sincerity in her eyes ” let’s grow old together”
” Oh, that’s the reason. ” those were the only words I could force out of my lips, my whole world freeze up, and my heart started beating the moment I fully woke up, stopped for a while.
” Milord ”
I notice her lips moving but I can’t hear them, I don’t want to hear more from her mouth, that only means she will hate me the moment she finds out about my true nature, that shouldn’t bother me but it did and the fact I can only drink of her blood makes the situation horrible” I will go to my chamber ” before I could stand, she holds my hand
” Milord ” looking at her, I watched how scared she looked, her hands dropped and I got up, I have no idea of the facial expression I giving out now. Walking pass her mirror, I stopped but see nothing, I don’t even know what I look like.
Moving towards the door, Jing hold my hand once more, force me to turn, and slap me across the face, it was then my breathing came back, and I became to hear sounds once again.
Blinking my eyes I stare at a scared Jing ” You looked like you wanted to kill me ” I watch tears drop from her eyes “You didn’t look normal, I and I notice you were not breathing, slapping you were only to cool myself ”
” I thought it was the other way around “a frown crept into my face ” You were supposed to slap yourself to calm your emotions”
Realization dawn on her and more tears drop, this isn’t something to cry about ” am sorry, I thought I said something that might have made you hate me, I try to think of all that I said, and I can’t see any fault” she look at me ” what I meant to say was that I hate creatures that aren’t humans, I don’t hate you ”
” Silly girl ” I place my hand on her head and her gaze remains fixed on mine, she has no idea that if she hates creatures that aren’t human, then it’s safe to say that she might hate me too ” am not angry with you ” I smile ” just disappointed at myself”
” Yourself?”
” I couldn’t give you that stroll”
” It’s my fault for passing out ” she chuckles and I lower my hand to her cheek, blink my eyes and look at her lips ” Milord?”
” Am tired today “Leaning close, I inhale her scent “Let’s have a good night’s rest after one kiss ” I didn’t wait for her to respond before I kiss her, it wasn’t my usual deep and rough kiss, it was tender and sweet, I just needed to taste her.
Pulling back, my gaze lowered to her hardened nipples and I frown “What’s wrong?” She must have noticed the change in my facial expression, she reads that too much
” Jing ” I mumble ” you have such a nice body” I pull her close to my body, her breast pressed on my chest while my hands cup her arse, she gasp out and I stare at her without expression, with each massage I give her arse, I watch how she moan.
It was intoxicating to watch her but her words ring in my ear * I hate them * I can’t possibly stop thinking about that, letting go of her I clear my throat ” I lost interest, am sorry…..good night “and with that, I left her chambers, the last look on her face was that of confusion and hurt.
Of course, I know what this looks like, she must think her body doesn’t excite me, it does but am not in the right state of mind to even see her anymore, I don’t care about drinking bitter blood.
I need to clear my head and it might take days.
