‘We are to kill everyone in the club’

“A..nna…belle?” Mrs Serena stuttered with shock. The girl who walked into the club with a dark aura and killed many men.. is her son’s girlfriend?

Annabelle clinched her jaw when she looked back at her. This is a tight spot for her. Why does Mr Serena have to be the one of all people? Why?!

If it was her former self, she won’t hesitate to kill her not caring if she is innocent or not.

Now, it’s either she kills Ethan’s mother or let Lord Smith hunt Ethan…

Lord Smith is sure cunny, he definitely knows Mrs Serena would be here.. this is another trap.

“I’m not one of them I swear.. I’m just a waitress here. I do this once in a while.. I swear it’s not what you think.. I’m…”

“Shhhh” Annabelle indicated her to stay quiet. She was trying hard to think.. her gaze went back to Ricky.

“What are you doing Annabelle?” Ricky asked in a calm but deadly voice. He is definitely not going to let go of this opportunity. He set his gun and began to step towards them, a devilish smile graced on his lips.

“Go on and kill her. We were asked to kill every living being here since they are persumed to be working for Antonio..”

“She’s innocent.. I know her” Annabelle defended.

“Ethan’s mother. Of course I know her too. The fucking doctor who also work here at night.” He spoke still walking closer to them.

Mrs Serena frowned hearing her son’s name.

“She’s not working for Antonio so she’s cleared” Annabelle stepped forward too, using her small body frame to protect Mrs Serena who was sitting on the floor.

“That’s not my business.. as far she is in this club, she is going to die” Ricky said stopping his track. “What do you think Lord Smith would think of you when he heard you let one of them go?.. you know the consequence already, Ethan’s life is on the line”

Hearing this, Mrs Serena’s eyes widened. “What’s he talking about? What does he mean?”

Ricky shifted his gaze to her. “Oh, I’ll tell what I mean. It’s either Annabelle kills you right now or your son dies”

Mrs Serena gasped. “My son did nothing wrong, please don’t hurt him. He’s all I have left” She sobbed harder. Ricky look back at the girl who had been quiet.

‘Ethan lost himself when his father died. He became paranoid and hurt. His father died because of a debt, in which he used to pay Ethan’s hospital bills. He changed last year because of his mother, though his pain seems to still be there’

Annabelle recalled Patricia’s words.

“Just take me Instead Annabelle” Mrs Serena spoke, Annabelle’s hold on the gun tighten as she slowly lift them to her face. “Take care of my son for me” Mrs Serena whispered and close her eyes.

“What made you think I’ll kill you? Do I look like a monster?” She heard Annabelle asked and she opened her eyes again to look at her. Annabelle shifted the gun to Ricky.

“If you wanna get to her.. you’ll have to go through me first” Annabelle said coldly. If she kill Mrs Serena, they’ll still come for Ethan anyway.

“Is this how it’s going to be Annabelle?” Ricky asked raising his brow. Other mobsters appeared behind Ricky with their guns and blood stains on them. Fighting is definitely not the best thing to do here.. she have to save Mrs Serena first.

She swiftly shot the small bulb in the passage and everywhere turn dark.

“Turn on the light and search for her” Ricky commanded and the mobsters obeyed.

Outside the club, one of the mobsters was busy smoking beside the car. Annabelle grab his neck and twisted it, Mrs Serena eyes widened.

“He’s not dead” Annabelle answered her unspoken question. She grab the car keys in the guy’s pocket and open the door for Mrs Serena. “Get it”

Some gunshots sounded and Annabelle quickly drive the car but she wasn’t too good at it. She hit the things on her way.

“Is this your first time?” Mrs Serena asked with her eyes widened.

“Yes, I’ve never driven a car before” Annabelle replied and hit a trash before her.

“Give it to me.. let me drive” Mrs Serena said and they both exchange positions.

At the club, Ricky asked the men not to chase them.. according to Lord Smith’s order.

“Let go back to the clan” he said to them and all left.

Getting to a safe place, Mrs Serena off the car engine and silence rented to car.

Annabelle made to get down but Mrs Serena’s question stopped her. “Why didn’t you do it?”

“I couldn’t” Annabelle replied short. She reached out for the drugs in her pocket, she didn’t drop it when Lord Smith forced her to use it. “You’re a doctor.. Do you know what this is?”

Mrs Serena eyes widened. “Oh my God.. this drug triggers the brain memories.. where did you find this?”

Annabelle clinched her jaw. That’s why those memories are disturbing her.

“They are going to come for my son.. right?” She asked when she didn’t answer her First question.

“Do me a favour, tell your son about your work and exclude the part of me showing up.. Goodnight” Annabelle said opened the door.. Mrs Serena held her hand.

“Thank you” she muttered and let go. Annabelle got down.

Mrs Serena bite down her lips and began to cry. Everything is just so complicated.

She got home and found Ethan sleeping on the couch with the back of his hand in his face.

“I’m sorry” she muttered.

(DRAGON’S)

Lord Smith stood near his window, Ricky sat around the corner as the door opened revealing Annabelle.

“You failed again Doll” The man spoke, disappointment lacing in his voice.

“She was innocent, we only kill bad men” Annabelle replied and the man’s turn to look at her.

“When did you start having soft spots Annabelle?” He asked.

“When do you start Lying to me?” Annabelle asked back and Lord Smith frowned. “What really happened to my parent?”

Lord Smith chuckled and indicate everyone to leave except his assistant who stood behind Annabelle.

“What do you mean doll?” He asked walking close to her.

“You were there” Annabelle whispered. Her eyes cold.

“I saved you” Lord Smith spoke and Annabelle felt a sudden electric shock coursing through her body. Lord Smith’s assistant had placed a shocker behind her. A loud scream left her lips as she went down to the floor.

“You should be grateful” those were the words she heard before passing out.

(BRILLIANT HIGH)

Ethan’s eyes stayed glued at the teacher lips as they kept on moving constantly. His body was in the class but his mind was not there. Moving his gaze to Annabelle’s empty seat, he let out a shaky breath.

His mother told him about her work and he was so mad at her. She work as a nurse and sometimes as a waitress in that dangerous club. He haven’t spoken with her for two days now and worse of all Annabelle isn’t in school.

“Ethan” The teacher called snapping him out of his trance. He looked up. “I asked you a question”

Ethan exhaled. “Which is?”

“Your mind doesn’t seem to be here.. what was the last thing I said?” She asked.

“The last thing you said?.. uhm.. the last thing you said was definitely the last thing you said last”

Liam burst into laughter, Selene pinched him and he stopped. “Sorry” he said to the teacher. Ethan smiled..

“Both of you, out” the teacher commanded.

“Thanks for putting me into trouble” Liam said to Ethan as they both waited to enter the principal office.

“We are best friends. If I’m in trouble.. then so are you” Ethan replied and Liam glared at him. “I can see you and Selene are together now”

“Yeah. What about you and Annabelle. She’s not in school”

Ethan sighed.. “I need to tell you something. I don’t think I can face this alone”

The principal door opened before Liam could reply. A figure stepped out and Ethan eyes widened.

The guy who beat him up that night?! Ricky?!!

Ricky smirked at him when their eyes met.

“I’ll call you Mr Ricky. Thank you for coming” The principal said to him politely and he left, while Ethan’s gaze followed him. “Both of you in” the principal said.

“Why have you been avoid me?” Patricia asked Daniel.

“Nothing, I just feel like there’s nothing for us to talk about” Daniel shrugged.

“But I told you something days ago.. you..”

“I know but it’s too late.. I’m with someone already” Daniel replied and look back. They both spot Barbara from a distance.

“Barbara? But you liked me first and not her”

“Yeah, but not anymore. You lost your chance Trisha. I like someone else” Daniel replied and turn to walk away.

Patricia fist clinched as she watch them leave. She’s not going to let this slide.

“So Annabelle is a mafia.. tssk.. that was pretty funny” Liam scoffed but Ethan’s face remain intact. “Fuck, are you kidding me? You’re serious.. Annabelle…”

“Shh keep your voice down. I think she’s in trouble but I don’t know what to do” Ethan said.

“When was the last time you saw her?” Liam asked and Ethan answered explaining the challenges Annabelle is currently facing. He also told him about Ricky.

“That guy who came out of the principal office is the one who hurt you that night?”

“Yeah.. I wonder what he is doing here” Ethan said.

“I guess we’ll have to find out” Liam said and they both stood up to leave but their eyes widened spotting Selene before them.

“How long have you been there?” Liam asked.

“Long enough to know Annabelle is a mafia” Selene replied with a shrugged and the grin. “How come you didn’t tell us Ethan” she squealed.

“Actually we don’t want this to go out.. can you keep it a secret? This is between life and death” Ethan said.

“Sure.. but you gat to tell Annabelle to teach me some move” Selene said.

“Alright, we have to get into the principal office to know why that guy called Ricky is here” Liam said.

The principal locked the door of his office and kept the keys into his pocket, he bumped onto Selene in his way.

“I’m so sorry sir” Selene apologized with worried look. The principal ignored her and walk pass her. A smile appeared on Selene’s face as she went to meet Liam and Ethan.
“I got the keys” she said throwing the keys to Ethan. The boys were stun.

“What, it wasn’t hard” Selene shrugged.

“I love you” Liam said and Ethan gave him a look. “Sorry dude, I couldn’t help it”

They sneaked into the principal office and began to search for a clue.

“I don’t think the principal knows about Annabelle” Selene sighed after the had search for some minutes.

“The lunch break, will soon be over. We have to go” Liam said but Ethan was still searching. “Ethan”

Ethan sighed and ran his hand through his hair. All of these is driving him crazy. He could feel everything going wrong around him.

“Where are you Belle” he muttered.

In the dark room, Annabelle could be found kneeling on the cold floor. Her face look weak, her hands and legs tied behind her. She had been like this with no food and water for three days.

Finally the door opened for the first time and a figure step in. Without looking up, she knew who it was.

“Look at you Annabelle, suffering because him” Ricky spoke as he walk further, then crouched Before her. “Do you like him that much?”

Annabelle sneered at him. “I don’t like you” she clinched her jaw.

“I will kill you slowly Annabelle. How dare you challenge me? I’m going to show you how dangerous I can be. You’re strong but not even smart to know how your parents died” Ricky said and the girl’s face loosen.

“You know?” She asked.

“Why are you asking me? Ask the Godfather you look up to” He stood up. “Adios, you’ll be released soon” he left the room.

Immediately the door closed, Annabelle’s head throb a little.. it wasn’t painful like the previous ones. In fact, the image was clear for her.

A little while longer, Lord Smith asked for her release. They bought her to face Lord Smith. When his eyes set on her, he frowned. Her breath was shaky, one could feel the extreme anger coming from him.

She got her memories back!

This man had been the devil all this while and she had been so stupid not realize it.

“How have you been Doll?”

His question came sarcastic to her. How have she been?

“You killed them, didn’t you?” She slowly raised her head to look at him. A light groaned escaped her lips as she disconnected her thumb joint in order to release handcuffed hands.

Lord Smith decided not to pretend, he knows one day she’ll get to know the truth. “It was pleasurable. I could still remember the scream of her pain and the beautiful red blood coming out from every part of her body”

Annabelle face turn colder, “You monster!!” She yelled.

Lord Smith assistant made to electrocute her but her hands were free. She dodge his attack and took the shocker from him before dipping it into his mouth. He shook so badly before passing out on the floor. The men around pointed their guns to her.

Lord Smith raised his finger indicating them not to shoot.

“I bought you in and made you strong Annabelle..”

“My name is Isadora” She cut in.

“I made you into a weapon..”

“You ruin my life!!” Her emotion got the best of her, she grab a gun from the floor and shot it at Lord Smith but her surprise, the man block it using a dagger.. just like her move but faster.

“Don’t be surprised. I’m your master after all” Lord Smith grin.

Annabelle grunt in anger. Her whole focus is to kill this man before her.

“Come to think of it Doll.. we’ve never spar before. I’d like to experience your fighting skill” He spoke, his eyes flickered with something dangerous.

“I’m gonna kill you!!” Annabelle yelled and charged towards him……
