“Annabelle.. she’s not breathing”

Ethan rushed to her immediately. “Hey Belle” he called tapping her cheek several times. He lean his head to her chest. Liam was right, her breath siezed. Is she dying?.. hell no!
He thought of how his mom normally attend to patients who seems to be in a critical situation like this.
“This better work” muttered taking a deep breath.
“Ethan” Liam called softly behind him. Selene and Jennifer’s eyes teared up already.
Ethan closed her nose and connected his lips with hers, blowing air into her mouth. He then placed his hand on her chest and pressed it back and forth.
“C’mon Belle, you can’t die” Ethan lean to her mouth again and blow more air, his eyes teared up and his heart pounding hard. On his fifth attempt, Annabelle gasps weakly and breathing return but her eyes were still close.
Ethan let out a breath of relief, he ran his finger through his hair. Gawd, he almost lost her.
“You scared me Belle” he muttered, kissing her forehead. He then carried her into his arms.
Mrs Serena arrived at the scene with a car. “Why can’t you just take her to the hospital?” Mrs Serena asked seeing Annabelle’s condition.
“She asked us not to take her there. She doesn’t want to be found. Mom do something, I’m freaky out” Ethan said with shaky voice.
“Come with me, I know somewhere” Mrs Serena said.
Getting to a close clinic, Annabelle was rushed to inside.
A man dressed in a white robe spot them. “Mrs Serena” he muttered.
“Get the equipment ready” Mrs Serena said to the man.
They fixed the oxygen mask on her face and began to do the necessary things to stop her bleeding.
“Oh God” Mrs Serena muttered worriedly. Who could have done this to her?
Ethan kept his head low as he run his fingers through his hair. She better be fine or else he doesn’t know what to do. He didn’t even know when a tear slipped out of his eyes.
Others was also scared too. Liam held Selene’s hand and caressed it.
“She’ll be fine, I’ve seen how strong she is” Jennifer said beside Ethan but the guy didn’t reply.
After 30 minutes, the door finally opened and Mrs Selene stepped out. The look on her face blank.
Ethan sprang up from his seat. “How’s she?” He asked.
Mrs Selene sighed. “She lost a lot of blood..”
“Give her mine” Ethan cut in.
“Yours doesn’t match son. We have to check the others. I just hope one of you works.. she is still in a critical condition” Mrs Selene.

Others was checked and Jennifer and Selene’s blood was the only one that matched.
“Take mine” Jennifer spoke out before Selene could. She gave Selene a look. “Remember what the doctor said about you not having enough blood” she said and Selene nodded.
“Come with me” Mrs Serena said to Jennifer and they both enter Annabelle’s ward.
After a while, the blood transfusion was done.
When he finally got to see her, Ethan walk to sit beside her. She still have her eyes close and her breath was steady now. He reached for her hand which has a pipe connected to it and caressed it gently. Her dress was changed already.
“How are you feeling?” Selene asked Jennifer.
“I’m fine, just a little dizzy” Jennifer replied taking a seat.
“Gosh she’s strong” Mrs Serena said as she stare at Annabelle. It’s rare for a person to survive this. “You guys did a good job on keeping her alive, until I got there” she said. Her gaze moved to her son.. his sadness was palpable.
“Annabelle breath siezed before you got there. Ethan was the one who revived her” Liam said to her and Mrs Serena sighed.
“Mrs Serena. I found this in her dress” Mrs Serena working partner came to hand over a paper to her, which contains a strange content. It was like a pattern.
“What’s this?” Liam frowned.
“It’s a location” Selene spoke and they all looked at her. “All you have to do is find the related pattern on the map” she added.
“You are really a gangster” Jennifer said.
“I told you so” Liam said.
“What.. I lived on the street before coming to school” Selene shrugged.
Ethan didn’t even mind what they were doing, his gaze was on the girl before. He is afraid she might stop breathing again.
Jennifer took a peak at them.. she shook her head and sigh.. is she not over him yet?
“There” Selene pointed at the main location as they laid the paper on the map.
“It’s quite far from here and pretty strange” Liam said.
“I guess that’s where she wanna go and we’ll take her there.. immediately” Mrs Serena said.
Liam blinked several times. “Come to think of it, you didn’t ask why Annabelle was like this”
Ethan finally look up to his mother. Their eyes met.
“I know about Annabelle” she replied and they all gasped.

Annabelle was placed in the ambulance.
“You guys can go back from here.. thanks” Ethan said to his friends.
“What? Hell no.. we are coming with you” Liam refused.
“These are dangerous people and I don’t want anyone to get hurt because of this.. we’ll come back soon”
“Oh yeah? And do what?” Liam asked. “And what if those people use me to get you”
“Why would they use you to get me?” Ethan raised his brow.
“Cus I’m your best friend. Will you let me die out there?” Liam asked. Selene and Jennifer shook their head.
“I’ll gladly tell them to take you” Ethan replied.
“Now I know you don’t like me” Liam said.
“I love you and that’s why I don’t want you to get hurt” Ethan said and Liam blinked severally.
“Bro that’s the nicest word you have ever said to me” Liam muttered.
“Guys.. c’mon all of you get in! It’s getting too late already” Mrs Serena yelled from a distance.
“She said all of us” Liam laughed and quickly enter the bus. Selene and Jennifer too followed and Ethan groaned.

The bus stopped before the location. It was a junkyard.
“A junkyard? Are we in the right location?” Jennifer asked but the gate open for them.
Getting in, they got down and look around, the place seems empty.
“Who are you?” A guy asked behind them, they were shock to see him pointing a gun at them. It was so dark already so they could only see his figure.
“We are not here to cause any harm. Maria.. we are from Maria” Mrs Serene quickly said. She actually saw the name at the back of the paper they found with Annabelle.
The guy holding the gun brow furrowed as he carefully observe the people before him, they look harmless.
“She said only one person would come. Why am I seeing so much” He asked.
“We are her friends, okay” Ethan spoke this time. “Annabelle is inside the bus. She needs proper medical attention” Ethan said.
The guy slowly bought down the gun and sigh. “Fine, bring her and follow me” he said and walk pass them.
He entered a small hidden passage and press a button. A door opened revealing a stairs leading down.
“Careful with your steps” He said switching on a touch light.
Ethan carried Annabelle in his arm. He was so careful like she was an egg. Liam and others carried some of the equipment.
Getting to the bottom of the stairs, Another door opened and their eyes opened in awe. It was like a huge house underground. The place was large and the architect was grand.
“This is awesome” Selene muttered.
“We have three extra rooms upstairs.. the code is 1804. You are to divide yourself by two.. feel at home and keep your phone off” The guy said leaving Instantly.
“He didn’t even tell us his name” Jennifer muttered.
“Let’s get Annabelle upstairs” Mrs Selene said and they all help in arranging the equipment.
“I’m staying with her” Ethan said to them.
“I’m staying with Liam” Selene spoke.
“You guys are together even after all the cat and mouse fight” Mrs Serena raised her brow.
“She’s a gangster and she stole my heart” Liam replied and Selene hit his chest. “Argh, what was that for?”
“That’s for making blush” Selene said.
“I guess I’ll be staying with Jennifer” Mrs Serena said.
They all left leaving Ethan, Mrs Serena and Annabelle.
“Are you still mad at me?” Mrs Serena asked the quiet boy. She sigh when there was no reply. “Yeah.. you are still mad at me, I deserve it”
“Since when did you find out about Annabelle?” Ethan finally speak.
“That night, the club was raided and she saved me” Mrs Serena replied.. giving him the full details.
“I’m deeply sorry, all I wanted was for you to have a good life. Goodnight my love” Mrs Serena said and kissed his hair before leaving the room.
Ethan held Annabelle’s hand, his eyes remain on her peaceful face. He decided not to sleep throughout the night. He almost lost himself when her breath siezed.

(NEXT DAY.. DRAGONS)
Anger was the only thing Lord Smith felt when he found his doll gone. How the fuck did that happen?…
He had released his anger on the guards he had asked to watch her by giving them the worse punishment they could think of. He tried checking the footage but found nothing.
“Maybe, there’s is a mole among us” Ricky said.
“Find Annabelle and bring her to me alive” Lord Smith replied.
“What do you mean? Annabelle broke your rules and she should be killed once we find her. I’m sure the boy and his mother have their hands on this, since they are not even in their home. Why the hell are you holding back when it comes to her?!!” Ricky yelled at the man who stared outside his large window with a blank look.
“Are you questioning my authority?” Lord Smith asked turning himself to look a Ricky.
“I still don’t get why you let this slide easily.. Annabelle is going rampage. She is slowly going against you!”
“It’s my decision to make, not yours” Lord Smith said and return his gaze back to his window.
“Why do you keep act this way whenever it comes to her.. don’t tell me you see her differently.. She is not Annabelle”
Lord Smith aura changed dramatically as he turn to walk towards Ricky.
“Don’t you think I know that. The fuck do you think you are to remind me?”
Ricky tried his best not to let Lord Smith’s aura affect him, but he couldn’t help but feel nervous when those pair of cold eyes met with his.
“Challenge me again and I’ll ignore the fact that you are my brother and snap your head into two” Lord Smith warned coldly.

Back in the new place, Ethan heard a knock on the door which jolt him up from his slumber. His eyes were red already since he was trying to keep himself awake.
“Baby, uhm.. how is it going?” Mrs Serena’s voice sounded.
Ethan checked on Annabelle.. she was okay. “She’s fine, I’ll let you know once I need you” he said.
“The weird guy last night, asked us to come for breakfast” She said.
“I’ll eat once she is awake” Ethan replied.
Knowing her son won’t listen, Mrs Serena left.
A little while longer, the light peeking from the window illuminated on the girl laying on the bed. Her brow furrowed a little and her eyes slowly opened.
The place was bright. So bright it took a while for her eyes to adjust. Where is she? The place is definitely not familiar.
The memories of what happened came in and she made to move but felt a hand holding hers. He was sleeping with his face covered by his messy hair..
Her lips stretched to a smile as she stared at him for a long amount of time. He is handsome even in his sleep. Only her knows how much she misses him.
Annabelle sit up not minding the pain. ‘How weak of me passing out’ she thought herself, she ran her fingers through her hair. Her brow curved down the more noticing she was wearing white. What the fuck!…
Why white of all colors?!..
Her movement woke Ethan up from his sleep. His eyes widened seeing her awake.
“Belle” he called out. “How are you feeling?”
“Weirdo, why am I putting on white?” She asked.
Ethan frowned.. is that the first word she is to say? “We c.. couldn’t find any other cloth. Your previous one was wet with blood” he shifted close to her and held her face but Annabelle hit away. “Ouch”
Her action shows she is fine.
“Where are we?” She asked.
“We found the paper in your pocket and bought you here” Ethan replied.
Ah.. that’s right. Maria helped her in escaping now she have to find a way to end all of these. All she need to do is heal.
Her face slowly go down and squeeze in sadness. A light sob was coming from her which got Ethan worried.
“Belle are you hurt?” He asked shifting close to her. He scolded himself for falling asleep despite the fear of Annabelle’s condition.
Annabelle sniffed and pouted like a kid.
“Should I call for my mom? So she can check you out?” He asked and the girl shook her head in refusal.
Annabelle sniffed again.
“What’s wrong?” He asked lifting her chin to look up to him. Her next words made his jaw dropped.
“I want Chocolate” Annabelle pouted.
