His Majesty
Chapter eight
Nyx
I sang loudly as I wore my slip-on shoes, I wore a damask flare jeans and white crop top. I’d spent three days with dad, Sky never came back for me as promised, not even a single phonecall. It felt like he used me or something but I had to believe there was a reasonable explanation for what his actions. I sprayed myself with the one perfume he got me and walked out while clipping a pair of white gold star earrings.
Dad was outside talking to some elders, some teenagers of my age and below played in the field close by. Women sat in circles, braiding hairs and dyeing clothes. We were yet to have our own school. Dad’s house was settled at the end of the village, in a way he could see most part of the village, especially the towns square.
‘Good morning father,’ I greeted planting a warm k-ss on his cheek. Everyone stopped what they were doing and paid attention to the beautiful princess.
‘Morning love,’ he looked at my dressing, I was the only one with such fancy attire. ‘Where are you going to?’
‘Dad, is he here yet?’
‘He’s not coming dear, stop wasting your time.’
‘He’ll come,’ I said confidently. ‘Good morning elders,’ I greeted with a curtsey. They responded quickly, adding praises as well. I went to the women and greeted them as well, they didn’t fail to chant my praises. Some of the boys my age threw amorous advances at me but I didn’t respond, just greeted them and went back to dad, just as a wickedly sick white luxury hover Lamborghini sport pulled over. ‘Told you so,’ I grinned at dad.
‘You’re not going to wear a jacket over this?’ He grumbled glaring at my crop top.
‘Nope,’ I k-ssed his cheek, ran to the car which opened on it on and slipped in. ‘Good morning sunshine!’ I chirped before looking at him, my smile dropped. ‘Neil! What are you doing here?!’
‘His Majesty asked me to bring you to….’
‘Him!’ I squealed.
‘No, school,’ he said chucklingly.
‘Oh,’ I said disappointedly. Neil was the only guard who liked me, we were quite close because he’s Ms Nita’s son. He dresses like an old man. ‘How’s he?’ I asked looking at him sadly.
‘Locked up in his prison. He locks himself up twice a year in a place no one knows and come out later even colder than before. Mom said it’s a period in which he fights the darkness or it will take over.’
‘I should be with him…’
‘His instructions before he disappeared was not to let you get close, you can’t even find him if you try,’ he said nonchalantly as he started the car. I shrugged it off.
‘So, Sunshine, how’s mom?’
‘Please stop calling me that,’ he pleaded.
‘Sparky,’ he sighed and drove off. I gasped, he stared at me questioningly. ‘Just look at you, dressed up like a real man,’ I teased. He laughed.
‘Shut up,’ he wore regular jeans, a short sleeve sport shirt and a sport jacket. Pretty casual for a guy who’s obsessed with old fashion. I turned on the music. ‘Are you going to yodel?’ He asked in fright.
‘Should I?’ I smirked. He gulped. ‘Don’t worry, we’re going to sing.’
‘I can’t sing,’
‘Nonsense! Your element comes from the moon, every moon elements can sing.’
‘You won’t understand,’ he whimpered.
‘Come on, sing.’
‘It’s embarrassing,’ he cried.
‘Don’t worry, I won’t judge,’ I grinned. ‘Should I yodel then?’

Can I be something more than me. ♪ he sang with eyes closed. He peeled one open and spied me, my grin was stuck to my face. ‘So?’
‘Wow,’ I said with my grin still stuck. ‘That was er…interesting.’
‘It’s bad isn’t it?’
‘No,’ I drawled. ‘It’s different in it own unique way.’
‘You’re using reverse psychology. It means it’s bad.’
‘No, it means the land of the dead will get new tenants if you sing out to other ears,’ he looked away. I bit my upper lip. ‘Can I ask dir something?’
‘Yes you can laugh, I know it….’ I released the laugh. I held my stomach as I laughed fie the rest ten minutes drive to school. He parked the car causing under his breath. ‘Aren’t you one yet?’ He huffed.
‘One more minute,’ I laughed with my finger up and laughed until I was satisfied. ‘Ha, that was epic,’ I said laughingly as I wiped off tears from my eyes. If I was wearing makeup, I would have looked like a clown. He got out of the car, stomped over to me and opened the door. ‘Thank you love.’ I got out majestically and patted his head.
‘I hate you,’
‘I so love you,’ I blew him a k-ss and ran laughed pointing at him.
‘That’s it!’ I scre-med and ran to the building, I stopped at the door and waved.
‘Bye Singolo!!!’ That was amazing.
FAST FORWARD>>>>>>>>>>>>
Everyone was gathered at the field, showing off what they could do with their powers. Magnificent was first and she displayed such wonderful use of her wind power.
‘Excellent as always Magnificent,’ the principal said proudly. Magnificent scorned at me before walking away. ‘Next, Hezekiah….’ Girls shrieked, he must have been the school’s sweetheart. He came out and flexed his muscles, making the girls scre-m more. His body flamed up, he displayed what fire could do, in a beautiful way. He made dragons, butterflies and birds dancing around. ‘Great as usual Heze, next Austin Rage,’ another squeal. Another hot guy came out but not as s€×y as my Skylar.
He slammed his hands on the earth, the ground divided and he disappeared into the trench. He did some other impressive tricks before the next person was called. She had the power of nature, she turned the entire place to a garden before she reversed it. Many came out, I clapped in awe, they were all amazing.
‘Finally, the popular Ostrazian, Nyx,’ I scoffed at the introduction. I walked out with hands in the pockets of my flare jeans. They were all scorning at me. ‘Your power is healing, there’s no need for an introduction or presentation….’
‘But there is,’ I protested. ‘My healing don’t only reflect on humans, it reflects on every creature of thing of nature. For example, this ground…’ I trailed off and looked over at Austin Rage and his other set of earth benders. ‘Is the ground healthy? Can you feel the withering under the earth?’
‘The earth is none of your business,’ he scoffed. I went on my knees and touched the ground. ‘Principal, you lost your leg to a demon and now you move with a plastic one, I can heal it by healing the earth and transferring the dust to your legs. We all come from dust, that is how.’ I closed my eyes and murmured the spell, my healing surged through the earth, healing every withering part. I transferred the light from the earth to his leg, removing the plastic and replacing it with real ones. I over used it, my energy stubbornly went around and healed every single sick people in the school area. I gasped for air and fell on the ground.
‘My leg! I’ve got my leg!’ I heard him exclaimed. Others shouted other things I healed before I blacked out. I woke up later with a banging headache, I was in the school clinic. I sat up and smiled, I wasn’t fully healed but I was strong enough. Now most people would be grateful, I hope.
I walked out of the clinic, people smiled at me, some even offered to help me home but I declined their offer. For the rest of the day, I sat in the football field, many students surrounded me as I preached to them about the true history of Alphedia, don’t know how I knew it. I change 59% of the students attitude towards Ostrazians.
School had ended, I stayed back at the library to read a book while most people left. After reading the book, I walked out if the library. I was thinking about Sky when I bumped into Magnificent.
‘I’m sorry,’ I apologized and made to walk away but she blocked me. ‘Excuse me?’
‘I’ve been looking for you,’ she sneered. ‘Do you think because you healed so many they will love you?!’
‘They already have,’ I smirked. She scoffed.
‘I served you at the restaurant, how dare you!’ She yelled and slapped me. ‘You irritate me!!! What were you doing with my king?!!! Do you think you’re more beautiful than I am!!! You wanna take my place!!!’ Before I could retaliate, she three me away with her wind. My body burst through the wall, creating a h0le as I hit the floor of the other side. I mo-ned in pain, it disappeared as soon as it came, advantage of my healing light. She stepped over the wall with a wicked smirk, her pink sparkles whirling around her and lifting her off the ground, it was her wind powers in manifestation.
‘Magnificent, leave me alone,’ I sobbed.
‘Why can’t you stop me? Don’t you have any powers again?’ She asked mockingly. ‘Oh yes, you just have your healing stupid powers and you’re nothing but a worthless Ostrazian, good for nothing wh-re.’
‘I have done nothing to you….’
‘You existing is enough wrong, by the time I’m done with you, your useless powers won’t be able to save you,’ she spat venomously. ‘You think you can crawl your way out of your h0le and become our Queen! Never! I will kill you first!!!’ She scre-med angrily. The pink in her iris spread to her wh0le eyes, her mouth was a gaping pink h0le. I clutched my throat, struggling for breath. The wind lift me up and pinned my dainty body to the wall as every single breath in my lungs left me.
‘Magnificent please….’ I gasped, the entire building quaked with fury. I fell on the floor wheezing for breath as everyone was thrown into panic and confusion; she had awaken his demon.
‘Magnificent!!!!!’ His voice came with a roar of thunder and rage of lightning. The sky turned black as the wind blew fast and deadly. Everyone dropped to their knees, all mopping the floor with their faces as they trembled. ‘How dare you touch what belongs to me!!! How dare you challenge me!!!! Do you see me as a weakling!!!’
‘No, no, I swear, we were only playing….’
‘Since you love a challenge, I challenge you to stop your own death,’ with that she scre-med out in pain, holding her pineapple head. I cupped my mouth as I watched the horrible scene, her head swelled like a watermelon being pumped with air.
‘No, no, please, please…..’ Her head exploded, every bit of it spluttering to places it could fly to including my body. I sat on the floor shivering with hands over my mouth and knees folded to my torso. He killed her.
‘What just happened!!!’ Someone shouted. I stood up with trembling body, there was no way I could heal her. Thunderbolt ran in, he stopped in front of me.
‘He should never had killed during such period, go to him Nyx, fast!’ My legs moved on it own, I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, running as far as the spirit led.
Sky
‘You’re one of us!’ They laughed. ‘Join us Skylar, take our hands,’
‘No,’ I gasped wheezing for breath. ‘I rather die.’ I was bearing it just fine until I felt her pain, they used that girl to stain me.
‘Take our hands King Skykar….’
‘Never!!!!’
Nyx
I found myself running through a vortex before I cane into his galactic room. I puffed out breath and gasped, Skylar was on the floor. His body was blue with black and dark purple colour running along every single veins. I walked to him with shaking legs and raised my hands over his head. I had another power, one my best friends warned me never to use but I didn’t care that moment, the darkness had stayed long enough.
‘From the shadows of the moon, lies the light of Naphaledia, from the speck of the sun, lies the fire of Zanludan. Sun and moon, a form the same, light and darkness can never be in one. Let the light that shines within, reflect on me and pull out the darkness that hid beneath.’ My eyes glowed, the crest on my back heating up and transferring it light all over my body. My hair turned sliver and white like it did whenever I dared use it and blue dust surrounding me. Clouds of thunder and lightning formed above us.
Skylar screeched and cried in pain, he vibrated, kicking and trashing. Dark shadow emanated from his body and rose up to the cloud, changing it white colour to black and purple. He scre-med and scre-med, arching his back as the wh0le realm quaked. Every darkness left his body and entered the cloud. The darkness dashed out and hissed, the seven headed beast scorning at me.
‘You’ll pay for that!!!’ I smirked and summoned my electrokinesis powers, I wh¡pped it around it neck.
‘You’re darkness and I’m light, stop me if you can!!!’ I wh¡pped it on the wall and dragged it back to me. I kicked one’s head and wh¡pped it away.
‘You cannot stop us!!!!’ They yelled. ‘We will return!!!!’ They break free and dashed into  the galaxy.
‘And I’ll be waiting,’ I looked at Skylar with a smile before I fainted.
