Eric’s POV
“What…..what are you talking about?” I stuttered as I tried to make myself move but I was unable to
Drusilla slowly stood up and moved towards me
“I casted a paralysis spell on your blood therefore you my dear, you are now paralyzed”
“But….but why?” I asked
“Is it still not obvious to you yet? Fine let me explain, you were a fool to trust an old woman that you met in a lone valley Eric Hammington, I am not the witch Eva Jones sent you to meet, hell I do not even know Eva Jones, all I did was read your mind and I got all the information I need to carry this charade” Drusilla said
“So you are not Drusilla?” he asked
“Oh I am Drusilla, but the one Eva sent you to meet, she’s not Drusilla, her name is Flavia, you see Eric, you should never trust someone that can read minds and is also capable of carrying out an illusion spell because just about everything you see and hear might be unreal” she said as she muttered a spell and the interior of the cave changed and I could see a witch unconscious on the ground with some kind of mark on her head
“That witch over there, she is Eva’s old friend but unfortunately for her and fortunately for me, she’s nothing more than a life battery” Drusilla smiled
“A life battery, what the bloody hell are you?” I asked
“You finally asked the right question Eric Hammington, I am a power monger, I am a hundred and eight years old, and it takes a lot for me to retain a young feminine look over the years” she said and pointed at Flavia
“That’s exactly what I do to stay young Eric, I extract people’s life essence to make me retain my young beautiful face and also make me more powerful, when I arrived at this valley a year ago, I was weak and slowly transforming into an old woman as I have not absorbed anyone’s life essence for a long time, when I saw Flavia and observed how powerful she is, I knew I must make her mine so I deceived her just like I did to you and now, I have been living on her essence, but the main disadvantage of this is that they are all mortals so their life essence might last me for a year or two and then they are totally gone and of no use to me, I was still planning on how to get my next prey before Flavia expires and you came along, imagine the joy I felt Eric, do you know what it means for you to become my life battery? It means I get to stay young forever, it means I get to have your powers and become an immortal like you and that’s why I immediately knew I had to make you trust me somehow and do everything I say, I read your mind and found out you have no idea who the witch Eva sent you to meet looked so I pretended to be her and with the vision I told you I had combined with the information I got from reading your mind, I pulled off the acting stunt perfectly didn’t I?” Drusilla laughed
“So you are going to kill me?” I asked
She smiled and pulled the golden dagger from my hand
“I can never kill you Eric, you are about to be my life battery, if you die I will no longer get a supply of your powers, for me to continue to be young and powerful, you need to stay alive, only you will be unconscious and incapacitated for as long as I live off you” Drusilla said as she began to draw some mark on my forehead with a dagger while chanting a spell
“No matter how long you believe you can live off me, my siblings will find you, and they will kill you” I said
“Same siblings that you came here seeking to kill? I doubt that Eric and let’s say they even do come, thanks to you I have a golden dagger to kill them off with or I can make them my life battery too” she said
“You know nothing about my family do you? You know nothing about my family’s history, we were cursed to be broken and alone forever so all we have to depend on in the end is ourselves and that is why, no matter the altercation between us all, we always come for each other in the end, for a thousand years, that’s how it has always been and you Drusilla, you have just put yourself on the list of the people my siblings will kill, it might take a month, a year, a decade or even a century but they will find you and they will rip out your heart” I said
“Well until then Eric Hammington but for now, you are mine and only mine” she said as she completed the symbol on my forehead and I began to feel drowsy, I saw myself falling to the ground and then everything went blank
Dianna’s POV
I went back to the Hammington Mansion first and I took the candle representing Bellatrix’s life along with me, each moment the light flick’s a bit, my heartbeat flares up thinking Gia might be killing her but she’s still alive and if I want her to remain so I will have to find Gia as soon as possible
Ivan, Ethan and Layla arrived at the Mansion too and I took them to the five covens of witches I had arranged at the courtyard
“This number of witches should be enough to break Gia’s location cloaking spell right?” I asked
“It should be, the witches don’t really need to do anything, Ethan and I will just be channeling their powers and use it to break through Gia’s spell” Layla said and I nodded
“You could channel me too” Ivan said
“I think the witches will do Ivan” Layla said
“Well let’s begin then” Ethan said holding Layla’s hand and all the witches held their hands too forming a big circle
They began to chant a spell and a strange wind began to blow
“What is going on?” I asked but Ivan just focused on them ignoring my question
The wind suddenly stopped and they opened their eyes
“Did it work? Did you find out where Gia is?” I asked
“Did you see it Ethan?” Layla asked Ethan and he nodded
“I saw where they are” Ethan said
“She’s with Adrian and they still have your daughter, they are at some place called the Taciturn Creek”……..

Dianna’s POV
“Taciturn Creek? I’ve never heard of such a place” I said
“I know Taciturn Creek and they better not be trying what I think they are trying because if they are and they succeed, we will never be able to get them” Ivan said
“What are you talking about Ivan?” I asked
“It’s a very long drive from here to Taciturn Creek, it’s definitely going to take the whole day so we better leave now if we must catch up with them” Ivan said
“If Dianna is going with you then I’m coming along too” Ethan said
“You know I cannot allow that” Ivan said
“But you need a powerful witch to go with you guys, just in case” Ethan said
“Then Layla can come along” Ivan stated
“When will you stop treating me like a liability?!! I can protect myself Ivan, I am the bloody guardian of the Hell Gates after all!!” Ethan yelled
“Let him come along Ivan with you guys and stop treating him like a kid, he has seen more than anyone his age has and he has matured, he’s no longer a kid, he is the Guardian of The Hell Gates and that position requires a lot of maturity perhaps, we have no time to argue this, you just said it yourself, we need to hurry, I’ll get the get the car keys, you two meet me outside meanwhile you take care of things here while I’m gone Layla” I said to Layla and she nodded
“Good” I said and I walked out of the courtyard
Gia’s POV
Adrian and I have been scheming on the best way to make the locales here talk to us and find out if they really know the route to Mordor
We carried Bellatrix and walked around the settlement
The locales were going about their business not speaking a word but then I noticed something strange
The settlement were all composed of old men and women, there was not even one young man or woman or even a kid running around
“Something is definitely going on here, they are definitely hiding something” I said
“Why don’t you go talk to the women and I’ll try to speak with the men” Adrian said and I nodded
“We could try that out” I said
Adrian went of to meet an old man fixing his fishing net by the shore and I went to meet an old lady that was seated in front of her cottage
“Hi” I said with a smile and she looked at me
“Hi, I’m Gia and I’m new here, mind introducing yourself too?” I asked but she immediately stood up and went inside her cottage locking her door
“That was very rude of you old woman!” I yelled
I looked in the direction of where Adrian went and he was already walking towards me, seems he hard no luck with the old man too
“The woman didn’t answer you too did she?” Adrian asked
“She just entered her domain and closed the door on my face, I was almost tempted to rip her heart out” I said
“We might have to resort to that in the end cause trying to speak to them isn’t working and we are running out of time, now Dianna is Queen, she’s more than capable of finding us” Adrian said
“What are we to do then Adrian? Should I try threatening to kill them all?” I asked
“They do not seem to be afraid of death, did you not notice? Only the old folks are here, old folks that aren’t afraid of dying, what makes me wonder is that if the old people are all here, what about their younger ones? Where do they live?” Adrian asked
“You do not think they live in Mordor do you?”
“That’s exactly what I think, the young generation lives in Mordor and when they are old, they are brought here, that’s how they know the route to the legendary magic free place” Adrian said
“But why risk their secret route being exposed by bringing their old generation out here? Why can’t they just live there together forever?”
“Well I guess that is what we’ll have to figure out ourselves” Adrian said
Ivan’s POV
Dianna drove and I directed her on which route to take, Ethan was seated on the back seat
“How do you know this place? The Taciturn Creek?” Dianna asked
“I had once wandered there during one of my times in solitude” I answered
“What’s so special about the place? Why have I never heard of it before and why is Gia there with my baby?” Dianna asked all at once and I sighed
“You wouldn’t have heard about Taciturn Creek because it’s a secret place, people that lived there don’t speak and very few people know about it” I said
“They do not speak? Why would Gia go to such a place?” Dianna asked
“Legend has it that the people of Taciturn Creek took an oath of silence to maintain the secrecy of their heritage, apparently they are from Mordor and they know how to get there” I explained
“What?! Mordor? That can’t be true, such a place doesn’t exist” Dianna said
“What is Mordor?” Ethan asked
“It’s a mythical place that is very peaceful and calm and no magic works or can penetrate through the place, but it’s a myth, just a story being told in fairy tales to children, it doesn’t really exist” Dianna said
“It might exist Dianna, I was there, when I heard about the place, I travelled there and at a second glance, one could notice that the people of Taciturn Creek were obviously hiding something but my journey there was cut short when you called us all back to Arcane City so I was unable to find out anything”
“Why were you in search of Mordor?” Ethan asked
“Apparently, it’s a place that magic doesn’t work, as long as he is there then he would be free of his powers, and of his curse” Dianna answered and I glanced at her
“If Mordor really does exist then it will be heaven for us, a chance to get rid of this thousand year old curse” she said
“Stop the car” Ethan said all of a sudden
“Why Ethan, we are in a hurry” Dianna said
“Stop the car Dianna” Ethan repeated and she stopped the car in front of a small cabin
“What’s going on Ethan?” I asked as Ethan stepped out of the car and I did too
“She was here” Ethan said
“Who was here?” Dianna asked
“Gia, she was here, with your baby”
Ethan walked into the cabin and we followed him in
The interior was scattered and a lady’s body laid on the floor with her throat slashed and her blood all over the floor
Dianna moved closer to the lady and examined her
“Did Gia do this?” she asked
Ethan moved around and examined the spell ingredients scattered on the floor
“That’s the witch that perform the location cloaking spell for her” Ethan said
“So she killed her so she wouldn’t spill out where she went, and I thought I was the devious sibling” I said
“Well Gia has taken that mantle from you now” Dianna said
“The spell this witch performed for Gia, she used your baby’s blood to power the spell and that’s why we couldn’t easily break through the spell, because it was being powered by the blood of the most powerful witch to have ever graced Earth, your child has an unimaginable power Dianna, more power than anyone can ever comprehend and for all our sakes, let’s hope we get her from Gia soon. Now I understand why Gia hasn’t killed the baby yet, it’s because she doesn’t plan to, who in her right senses will kill the most powerful immortal witch to have ever been born? She is going to raise your baby and use her as weapon against us all, and your baby, let’s just say she can be a very deadly weapon if raised badly” Ethan said…….
