⭐Block Buster Ending!!⭐
The devil only attacks what he feels threatened by. Love is powerful, patient and sacrificial. Love was powerful enough to make Harry come to the aid of his dying wife even though he was still suffering from memory loss and couldn’t remember her. Love was patient enough to make Diana believe that her husband wasn’t dead and she waited for him to return home even though he was declared dead by the military personnel he worked with. Love was sacrificial enough to make the rescue team embark on a deadly journey to a far away land to rescue someone they weren’t even sure was truly alive. These and more are clear indications and confirmation that Love is selfless.
It was such a relief for everyone when Harry woke up from his slumber and agreed to treat his dying wife. For a moment, they thought he had gained back his senses and could hopefully recognise them, but it’s quite unfortunate that their guesses were wrong. Harry intEr×¢ted and communicated with his dying wife, Dan and the soldiers as though he didn’t know who they were. However, they were quick to sweep everything beneath the rug and just focus on making Diana better. They couldn’t hear the language he spoke and depended on the tourist guide for translation.
Just as instructed by Harry, the tourist guide stopped the boat and packed it along the riverbank. Immediately the boat was packed properly, Harry hurried down and ran into the bush. For about five minutes, he gathered herbs that were good for healing fresh wounds. He got to know about these herbs during his stay in the village. It’s possible that the village healer must have educated Harry on the use of those herbs because he spent quite a lot of time with him. After locating and gathering the herbs, he ran back to the boat and began to use his hands to squeeze the leaves to bring out tiny drops of water from it.
While Harry was engrossed in healing Diana, the soldiers watched him and were blown away. They began to feel bad for the dying lady due to everything she went through in the hands of the military a year ago. They sincerely wanted her to be ok and back to her feet again. Despite being aware of Harry’s strange behavior since he was recused, no one said anything because they were more concerned in getting Diana the healing she needed and at that moment, Harry was the only qualified person to deliver. After about an hour of administering medications on Diana, she slowly began to show signs of recovery and everyone was extremely grateful to God and Harry. Without wasting more time in fear that the hunters could still be after them, they entered back into the boat and headed home.
It took a wh0le day before they reached their destination. As they got close to the riverbank, network for phone calls came in and the soldiers quickly contacted their colleagues and informed them that two people were critically wounded. Before the boat reached dry ground, a handful of Military personnel and an ambulance were already waiting for them at the riverbank.
One look at Harry and everyone was dead-drop shocked. It was totally unbelievable and seemed as though they had seen a ghost. Despite the grown beards and a little change in stature, he was still highly recognizable. What a day no one saw coming!
Immediately everyone alighted from the boat, Harry carried Diana but the medical officials quickly collected her from his hands and headed to the ambulance. The other soldier that was hit with the arrow was also taken into the ambulance. Without wasting time, the medical team drove off and headed to the military hospital, while the rest were conveyed by the military to their camp to rest after a hectic trip and for further questioning on what happened.
As they drove to the camp, some military officials who knew ‘Dr Harry’ were a bit confused as to why he was quiet all through the ride. He didn’t acknowledge their presence, neither did he show any signs that he knew who they were. The confusing countenance on their faces was quickly dismissed by one of the soldiers that went on the rescue trip. “He doesn’t understand a word we say expect it’s been translated by the tourist guide. He didn’t even recognize his wife so I doubt you guys stands a chance. Just let him be for now, he might have been greatly affected by the trauma of being away all these while in a far away land without civilization” the solider said.
That explanation was insightful and it eased the tension a bit. They couldn’t wait to hear the story behind Harry’s one year disappearance. When they arrived at the military camp, Dan and the tourist guide were given a room to share. They refreshed and laid down to rest properly before any questioning. On the other hand, Harry was checked into the military hospital for thorough check-up and treatment. The nurses took him to the bathroom to have a thorough shower. Afterwards, he was given a nice hospital clothing and food to eat. They noticed he wasn’t enticed by the food because it was different from the food he was now accustomed to in the village. After much plea and persuasion, he was able to drink juice and ate few spoons of the nicely prepared rice.
The military kept everything a secret from Harry or Diana’s family members for a while till they could at least find out what happened. It took another 24 hours for everyone to settle for questioning. Dan and the tourist guide were the first to be questioned by the military. They said everything they knew and didn’t hide a single detail. The soldiers were the next to be questioned and they also narrated the rescue mission exactly as it went.
After the first and second set of people were questioned, the senior officers saw no need to question Diana but they definitly wanted to hear what Harry had to say for all the while he disappeared. After series of tests were conducted on him, the doctors now knew about his memory loss. They were heartbroken by their discovery and didn’t hesitate to inform the military officials after running a physical test on him to see if he could recall past events from two years ago but he failed the test woefully.
“What do you mean by what you just said?” Mr Rex shocking asked after being informed by the doctor that Harry had amnesia. “Sir, he can’t remember anything before the accident that occurred a year ago that led to his disappearance. He can only remember the things that happened after the incident” the doctor revealed further. Despite being sad about the latest discovery, Mr Rex was a bit relieved that he could at least remember what happened to him. “Can we speak to him now?” Mr Rex asked and in no time, Harry was ushered into his office.
When Harry came into the office, also seated were few senior officers that were also interested in knowing what happened to Harry on that fateful day of the terrorist attack. The tourist guide was invited to the meeting to help with translation since they were informed that he couldn’t understand the language he used to know.
The question sessions began and series of questions were asked. Harry wasn’t too opened at first but later began to talk as time went on. They asked him to narrate all that happened and he tried as much as he could to give the information his was asked. Up until then, Harry had no clue of why they took him from the villagers that were now his family and certainly had no idea why everyone was asking him questions. It was highly confusing for him but he still compiled.
As Harry spoke in details how he was found wounded by some hunters and taken to the village and also how he lived there peacefully and almost got married, Mr Rex and the other officers present couldn’t help but wonder what Diana would go through when she eventually realize that her husband whom she dearly missed for a year had forgotten who she was. It was sad indeed for them to hear everything the man went through just to be alive.
When the question sessions ended, Harry was taken in,side a nice room to rest while Dan and the tourist guide were compensated financially and released to go back to their various homes. Diana was still at the hospital but the good news was that her wound had began to heal. After about two days of being in a very critical condition, she finally opened her eyes and the first thing she said was “Where is my husband?”. The doctor and nurses assured her that Harry would be with her soon. They said this to calm her down to avoid stressing her with the sad news that he was suffering from memory loss. After staying in the hospital for three days, she was later discharged.
By the time Diana was discharged from the hospital, the news of Harry’s return had spread all through the state they resided in. Their parents got to know about the shocking news and were at the hospital the next minute to see Diana. Immediately she was discharged, they all cried as they gave the strong woman a warm hug. They hugged Diana for a very long time because it just began to dawn on them how remarkable, strong and genuine she was. They were blessed to have such a daughter in-law and praised her.
With everyone present on the day of Diana’s discharge, the doctor felt it was the perfect time to break the sad news to them. “Harry is suffering from memory loss and unfortunately can’t remember any of you; including his wife and daughter. Cases like this can be hopeless because he has a very slim chance of regaining his lost memory again. I advice you don’t force things with him because you might just succeed in making him uncomfortable. Take everyday one step at a time and we pray for a miracle someday. Diana, my prayers are with you because you have been through a lot for your family. You might not hear this often but you are a very strong, kind and selfless woman and I pray Harry is able to tell you this someday when he hopefully regains his memory. God who saved him and brought him back to you will finish what he started. Don’t lose your faith or hope now because you have come too far to give up now” the doctor said.
To be honest, if it wasn’t for the comforting words that followed after that heartbreaking news, Diana might have collapsed and given up the ghost when she heard that her husband had lost his memory and couldn’t even remember her and his daughter again. It was still sad but they all comforted each other as family.
Without hesitating, Harry’s parent and his wife was given custody to look after him. In order to reduce the awkwardness or being around strangers, they took the doctor’s advice and gave him space. A different appartment was rented for Harry to live in since he couldn’t recognize his wife nor daughter. Diana came visiting often to help out with cleaning and cooking in his new apartment. The only way they communicated with each other was through signs. Whenever she came back from those visits, she would cry herself to sleep. Despite her husband being close to her physically, it still felt as though he was thousands of miles apart. There was no connection, affection or communication between both of them and it killed her slowly.
As time went on, Harry’s dad hired professional historians who knew how to speak the language Harry learnt from the village. In no time, they were able to teach him how to speak the normal language he knew before the accident. That way, everyone could now communicate with him without using signs. Gradually, he became a Pro and began to speak the language fluently just like before.
Slowly, Harry began to smile and intEr×¢t with people again even though he couldn’t remember them. Whenever Diana came to visit, they would talk for hours and laugh while at it. She would talk about the museum and different art piece that were brought in that day. Gradually, she started getting the bestfriend and confidant side of her husband back. She always called him ‘Husband’ whenever she came around but he never knew why she called him that. He felt it was a good nickname so he went with the flow.
Harry’s parents were happy that their son was now good with speaking their language and could intEr×¢t well without the need of an interpreter. However, their happiness still felt incomplete because things were not the way it used to be. They dearly wished for a miracle for their son but it seemed as though the heaven was shut before them. It was sad but they had to learn how to live with the current situation at hand.
Years passed and it’s been two years since Harry was rescued. Ayla was now 3 years old but sadly, Harry still couldn’t recall his family. Life was unencouraging for Diana but she was still hopefully that a miracle would happen someday. It’s been a wh0le three years without her husband in her arms, without feeling his touch and without k-ssing his beautiful soft l-ips. Just pause for a moment and imagine the hell Diana went through those years without the only man her heart beats for?. Up until then, she had never looked at any other man twice, talkmore of being touched by another man; she never thought of it, talk more of doing it.
Diana showed a wh0le new level of faithfulness and lived the reality of the vow “till death do us part”. She was ready to die believing God for her husband to regain his memory, than be with another man. Her level of commitment to her husband marvelled even his parents and other family members. It wasn’t long before other people began to use Diana as a example of ‘Loyalty’. She lived that reality and was worthy of any accolade given to her.
As time went on, Harry genuinely began to fall in love with Diana’s personality all over again. He loved the way she cared for him and started seeking for a way to reveal his feelings to her. Whenever Diana brought Ayla with her to cook for Harry, he would ask who owned the child and Diana will smile and say “Someday you would know her father”. Harry usually felt drawn to Ayla whenever she accompanied Diana to his apartment. He had no idea that she was his daughter but liked her genuinely.
After giving the relationsh¡p intentions a thought, Harry finally decided to pour his heart out to Diana one fateful day. On that day, she was supposed to visit him but later called in sick. Concerned to know how she was doing, he asked her and asked if he could come over to her house; of which she agreed and sent her house location to him. That was the first day ever he visited her house since after the rescue.
An hour after the location was shared with Harry, he arrived at Diana’s house. Immediately he stepped his feet into the compound, his heart skipped several beats. It was confusing because it felt as though he had been there before. The gate, the house and staircase to his apartment came flashing in his memory. Unable to figure out why the atmosphere suddenly felt as home, he dialed her number and she came out from the balcony and told him to take the staircase. When he got to the door, she opened the door and gave him a warm hug. “How are you feeling now?” he asked, “Feeling better now that you are here” she replied. They both entered in,side and Harry sat on one of the couch while Diana went to get him something to drink.
With Diana gone, Harry’s eyes began to look around and landed on a family portrait that caught his eyes. He got up and walked towards the photo to have a clearer view and almost collapsed when he saw a man that looked exactly like him in the photo. While he was still confused on what was going on, his eyes saw yet another family photo that consisted of a man that looked exactly like him with Diana and Ayla. As he stood there looking even more confused, Diana walked in with a soft drink. One look at his eyes and she could tell that something was wrong. “What’s going on?” she asked and he pointed at the large family portrait hanging on the wall.
Immediately Diana figured out what was going on, she burst into tears. As tears fell uncontrollably from her eyes, Harry came closer to her and held her arms. “Why are you crying and why am I on these photos?” he sadly asked and Diana revealed the shocking truth she had been hiding from him since the very day he was rescued. “You are my husband” she revealed. The look on Harry’s face at that moment was obvious that he was shocked beyond words could say. He couldn’t put to words the content of his heart because it was too much for his mind to comprehend.
Followed by the revelation, Diana narrated everything that happened to their marriage starting from the massacre incident till his loss of memory and the rest. For the first time ever, Harry could give meaning to his existence. So after all, he didn’t just fall from nowhere into the forest where the villagers found him. That was the first time ever Harry cried. It was such an emotional moment for them but the sad thing still was that he couldn’t remember the amazing husband and father he once was to Diana and his daughter. The fact that he couldn’t remember such beautiful moments pierced his heart and made him more sober. He only relied on Diana’s tale of the past to know how blissful his family used to be. Such a sad thing indeed.
That day marked a great turn in Harry and Diana’s relationsh¡p. They became more closer despite the fact that their condition was still the same. Through Diana’s help, Harry was able to get a job at the museum so he could be more closer to her. Everyone admired the couple and wished them nothing but happiness. Things carried on the same till something unfortunate happened that was a blessing in disguise for the couple. God finally showed up!
It happened that Harry was trying to hang an ornament in the museum and needed a ladder to help reach the height he was aiming at. As he climbed the ladder to hang the ornament, he slipped his leg and fell from such high place. Diana almost died when she was told that her husband had been rushed to the hospital after sustaining a head injury that made him black out. She was very worried that it could worsen his memory loss and make him forget all he had managed to learn in the space of two years.
Without wasting time, Diana rushed to the hospital to see Harry but he was in an Intense Care Unit. She immediately called his parents and her mom to inform them of the recent tragedy. Everyone’s heart was high as they prayed that nothing bad should happen to their son who had gone through a lot in the past three years of his life. They arrived at the hospital shortly and began to wait on the doctor.
Some of Harry’s friends from the military who heard what happened to him came running to the hospital. Everyone prayed silently for no complications but they had no idea that God was unto something unimaginable.
After several hours of waiting, Diana got up and sat beside her husband. She looked at her mother in law with tears falling from her eyes. “Mum stop crying, we still have a long time together so he isn’t going anywhere. After saying that, she laid on Harry’s body and began to sob silently. “Lord please bring my husband back to me. I’m not asking for too much anymore, all I am asking is for him to open his eyes. I’m so tired but grateful at the same time because he could have been dead three years ago but you spared his life. Please bring him back to me alive, that’s all I ask for” she soberly said and laid her head on his chest.
Just as everyone sobbed silently for the lovebirds who had been through so much together, Harry opened his eyes. Diana smiled and gave him a peck on his forehead. “He is Awake!” she said with so much excitement.
As everyone drew closer to Harry’s hospital bed to welcome him back to his consciousness, he casually said “Di Di, what’s going on?” and everyone froze. That nickname was a popular name the ‘Old’ Harry usually called his wife.
Immediately Diana heard that nickname, tears of joy began to fall from her eyes. She looked at her husband and called him a popular nickname she used to call him too and he happily replied. Without stress, Harry identified his parents, in-laws and his military friends that were present.
Everyone scre-med for joy till the hospital almost collapsed. They danced for joy and sang praises as they kept asking Harry questions from the past and he answered sharply without blinking an eye. All Diana could do was cry helplessly till Harry reached out for her hands and dragged her closer to him. “My love, why are you crying?” he curiously asked, she smiled faintly and said “Because I miss my husband so much and love you with every bit of my heart. Welcome back baby!”.
“Where’s Ayla, where’s my daughter?” Harry voiced out when he looked around but couldn’t find her. Luckily, Diana’s mum was carrying her on the back and quickly untied her. Harry gave his baby girl a fatherly hug and was shocked at how big she had grown. “Just like yesterday I held her as a baby and now she’s so grown.. wow!” he surprising said. Everyone smiled with tears still in their eyes.
Everyone enjoyed the moment and praised God for such an unexpected miracle. Funny thing was that he couldn’t remember anything after he hit his head during the massacre. The village memory and everything that happened for the past three years of his life was wipe away. The last memory he had of his family was k-ssing his wife ‘Goodbye’ as he left for the camp that fateful day.
After Harry’s discharge from the hospital, he went to his matrimonial home with his wife and daughter. That night was probably one of the best night of Diana’s life in three years. They made love as though they were going to die if they stopped. Diana wanted every bit of Harry’s body and wanted more every second. It was such a beautiful way for them to bold after the trials and tribulations their marriage had faced in the past three years.
Weeks later, they did a massive thanksgiving in the house of the Lord to return back all the glory to him. It wasn’t easy but they won and defeated the enemy. Harry resigned as a military doctor and started his own private hospital.
From then henceforth, their marriage only experienced blissful and happy moments. No more tears and sorrows. They enjoyed their marriage and vowed to be together ‘Till The Very End’. They were blessed with two more kids as the years went by. Glory be to God!
