“Fred your Mom is here to see you”
The lady said and went out.

“Your Mom!
Eva and Boboy shouted being so astonished.

“Fred what did she mean by your mom is here?
Eva asked still confused.

“Dude I thought you said your mother is late?
Boboy asked being confused too.

“Yeah my mom is late”

“Then what did the lady mean by that?
Eva asked confusingly.

He narrated everything to them,
“That means you will soon leave me all alone in this place?
Eva sounded sadly.

He held her hand and said,
“Don’t sound like that Eva,I need to know the reason why she is here okay”

“I don’t want you to leave me Fred”
She said feeling so sad.

“I will not leave you okay,let me go and find out the reason why she is here”
He said and went out to Mrs Santo’ s office.

“Don’t start crying Eva! You didn’t know if he is going or not”
Boboy said to her.

“Hey Fred!
Mrs Sarah hugged him at the moment he walked into the office.

“Good Morning Ma!
He greeted her with smiles.

“Morning Fred! I know you must be feeling so sad that I abandoned you for a months and didn’t care to come and see you for a day,I was trying to fix things before bringing you home so am here to take you home”
She said feeling so happy.

“Take me home!
He sounded so unhappy.

“Why? Don’t you wanna go home?
She asked being confused of his expression.

“Mrs Sarah is not that I don’t want to go home”
He said feeling so unhappy.

“Then what is it?
She asked.

“I don’t want to leave someone so special to me in this place”
He sounded.

He held his hand and said,
“See Fred there’s no future for you in this Orphanage,your future lies with me and I made a promise to your mother on her sick bed that I will take good care of you like my own son and i don’t want to go against her wish nor break the promise i made to her,your mother won’t be happy if I did not take you as my son”

“My dear think about your life and what the future holds for you and you will know that there’s no future in this place for you,Fred you have to go home with me”
She said and later conceived him.

“Give me some time let me talk to my friends and pack my bag too”
He said still not happy.

“Okay dear!
She said.

Fred went out from the office to meet his friends.

“What did she said?
Eva asked at the moment he approached to them.

“With the look on your face i must tell that she came to take you home”
Boboy said.

“Is that true Fred? You will be leaving me here?
Eva asked sadly.

He held her hands and said,
“Eva I really don’t want to leave you but I got no option and I promise…..

She didn’t allow him to finish his statement she burst into tears and ran out.

“Eva! Eva! Please come back!
He shouted to her hearing but she ignored him and ran to the room.

“Dude you gonna really talk to her,she is feeling so bad”
Boboy said feeling so concerned.

They ran to the room and met her on her bed sobbing uncontrollably,Fred climbed on her bed he raised up her head and rest it on her shoulder.

“Please Eva stop crying,you know it breaks my heart seeing you like this”
He said feeling so bad.

“Why did you want to leave me Fred?
She asked in tears.

“Am not leaving you,Am gonna come back for you okay,once I have settle with my foster parents I will come and take you,please stop crying”
He said with a teary eyes.

“Who will now take good care of me? Who will now fight for me when those kids Gray and Mike bully me?
She said still crying.

“Boboy is here,he will take good care of you and also fight for you okay”

“Yes Eva,I will take good care of you like the way Fred always do okay”
Boboy said.

As Fred was trying to calm her down a lady came in,side the room to call him.

“Fred your Mom is waiting!
She said.

“Please tell her that I will be with her shortly”
He said to her and she used the door.

He brought out a bead bangle from his pocket and worn it on her ankle hand.

“I want you to be wearing this bangle,it will make you to feel that am with you and you will not miss me so much okay”
He said.

“Fred promise me that you will come back for me,promise me that you will not forsake nor forget me”
She said still crying.

He wiped her tears and said,
“I will never forget you my Eva,I will come back for you okay,this my heart will keep on beating for you Eva”
He gave her a bear hug.

“I will miss you Fred!

“I will miss you too my Eva,I don’t want you to be sad Boboy is here he will take good care of you okay and this bangle will make you to feel that am with you”
He said and pecked her on the forehead.

“Dude am gonna miss you so much”
Boboy sounded.

“I will miss you too,I will come back for you and Eva okay,I want you to promise me that you will take good care of her and make sure that Mike and Gray will not have the right to bully her again”
He said.

“I promise am gonna fight for her dude”
He gave his word.

“I will be going now,take good care of yourself for me my Eva”
He gave her a bear hug and pecked her on the forehead.

“Take care Dude!
He hugged Boboy before coming down from the bed.

He couldn’t stop starring at Eva even Eva too,it pains him leaving her if it is in his shoe he wouldn’t have accept to leave the Orphange but due it was her dead mother wish for him to be taking good care of by her stepmother he got no choice but to go.

He grabbed his bag as he was about to exit from the door,Eva called out on him,

“Fred!
She called out and rushed down.

She hugged him so tight and whispered to him,
“I love you Fred!

“I love you too my Eva! I promise to come back for you and we will not be apart anymore okay”
He pecked her on the cheek.

“I believe you Fred,I will be expecting you”
She said to him.

He hugged her for the last time before using the door,Eva went back to her bed feeling so bad.

“Come here Eva!
Boboy said and held her hands.

“Stop being sad okay,Fred will come back for us okay”
He said and hugged her.

Fred felt so bad for leaving Eva but his hands are so tight there’s nothing he can do at this moment.

“Ready to go Fred?
Mrs Sarah asked him at the moment he walked in,side the office.

He nodded his head in agreement of what she asked him.

Mrs Santo noticed the sadness expression on his face and asked,
“Fred you seem so sad,you don’t want to go,is it because of your friends?

Everybody at the Orphanage knows how the three friends are so closed,doing and sharing things together.

Fred didn’t answer her question,he kept on molding.

Mrs Santo stood up from her chair,she tapped him softly on his shoulder and said,
“I understand how you are feeling right now but you have to know that this will actually happen one day,you will not be in this Orphanage forever so as them,someone will also adopt one of them for the mean time you can still be coming to visit them,stop being sad okay”

“Thank you Mrs Santo!
He said without any atom of smile of his face.

“Thank Mrs Santo Domingo for your care and attention towards the children”
Mrs Sarah said.

“That’s one of our priority to take good care of the children”
She said with smiles.

Mrs Sarah signed the necessary things,she hugged Mrs Santo.

“We will be going now!
Mrs Sarah said to her.

“Okay Ma! Fred take good care of yourself and stop being so sad over your friends they will be fine”
She said and hugged him.

They left the Orphange to San Sebastian Bernal(Queretaro) one of the biggest city in Mexico,Fred didn’t utter any word to Mrs Sarah even when she spoken to him and gave him words of encouragement he didn’t say anything to her until they arrived at the city.

Meanwhile before Mrs Sarah left the house she told the maid to prepare a delicious food for lunch to welcome her son home.

“Welcome to your house son!
She said to him.

He came down and looked around the very big mansion,he is not surprised at all because he already knew how rich they are so their house will be rich like them.

“Let’s go in,side,your Dad is expecting you”
She said and held his hand as they went in,side.

“Honey your son is here!
Mrs Sarah shouted being so excited.

Mr Ernesto walked out from the lounge to welcome them,

“Wow! You look like me Fred!
He shouted being so happy to see him.

“Good afternoon Sir!
He greeted him.

“You are welcome Son!
He replied with smiles.

“I told you he got your look”
Mrs Sarah said.

“Oh yeah! You can say that again,you are welcome Son,I know we got a lot to talk about and I know it gonna take time before you accept me as your Dad but I gonna wait and I don’t care how long have to wait for you to call me Dad”
He said to him.

“I hope the lunch is already?

“Oh yes! Ready and waiting for your guys”
He answered with smiles.

“Then what are we still waiting for? Let’s move to the dinning,we had a long journey we are starving already”
She said.

They moved to the dinning table got sitted,the maid came to serve them.

“I don’t feeling like eating now I gonna eat later”
Fred said at the Maid was about to dish his own.

“Aren’t you hungry Fred?
Mr Ernesto asked.

“Yes,I need to rest”

“Okay,Kate take him to his room”
She said to the maid.

“Okay Ma!

“What’s wrong with him? Is he not happy to be here or is it because of me?
Mr Ernesto asked.

“No my husband,he is just being so exhausted and you know it his first time of having a new home and a new family too so let’s give him so time he will be fine”

“Okay then!

Fred stood up and followed her behind to his room,a well furnitured room very big to compare the one at Fred’s house,the soft bed so big that it can contain five people only for one person.

His closet so big and well arranged with plenty clothes and plenty shoes no need of bringing his old stuffs.

Maid Kate brought in his bag,
“Did you need anything Sir?
She asked.

He looked at her with the expression of why he should be address by Sir at young age.

“No,I don’t need anything”
He said and sat on the bed.

She understood his expression and said,
“You are the heir to Ernesto Perez Enterprises so you deserve to be address by Sir,in case you need anything ring the bell I will answer you”
She pointed at the bell to him.

“Okay thank you!

She went out and shut the door,he lay down staring at the ceiling fan thinking about Eva how she will be feeling right now,he can’t take his head off her,the thought of being with her is killing him badly.

Concerning Mr Ernesto’ s expression towards Fred how he welcomed him whole heartedly is all Mrs Sarah’s handiwork,she gave him reason to see things from the right angle for him to bring his son home,she keep on persuading him and convinced him which he found the truth in all she said and accepted to bring his son home and have a heir to his company.

At night,Fred nor Eva couldn’t sleep,they keep on rolling on the bed thinking about the beautiful moments they used to had at the Orphange,how they played together,how people called them couple especially Boboy.

Eva looked at the bangle he gave him and smiled,
“I know you are here with me Fred”

She keeps staring at the bangle until she slept off.

THREE MONTHS LATER
“Why are you like this? What is it Eva?
Boboy saw her mood and asked.

“It’s exactly three months Fred left to be with his new parents and he promised us that he will be coming for us,what of he has forgotten us and he will not come for us? What of he has gotten a new friend there?
Eva asked feeling so sad.

“Don’t say that Eva,Fred gave us his word and he will not go against it,he will come back okay”
He said to her.

“Then what is still keeping him? For how long will he take before he will get us out from this place ?

“Maybe he still need time to settle in with his new parents before discussing us to them”

“You think so?

“Yeah so cheer up he will come for us okay”

A lady approached them,
“Eva you have a visitors”
She said.

“It should be Fred!
She sounded and stood up from the swing immediately.

“Yeah it should be him,let’s go!

They walked to the receiving room feeling so happy to see Fred,their faces changed when they got there.

“Good afternoon Mrs Cantu!
They greeted her.

“Are you not happy to see us Eva?
Clara asked.

“No Clara!

“But your face seems otherwise”
Mrs Cantu said.

“Yeah,Eva is a little bit sad because we thought is our friend that came to us”
Boboy said.

“Oh! Is he the one you told me about?
Clara asked.

“Yeah Fred!

“Oh! So sorry dear”
Clara said and hugged her.

“Eva I got a bad news for you”
Mrs Cantu said.

“Bad news from where?
She asked confusingly.

“Your Dad died last night”
She said to her.

She sighed loudly and said,
“That’s not a bad news to me Mrs Cantu rather is a good one,he deserve it,my mother’s soul will now rest knowing that the wicked man that killed her is dead”

Her statement surprised them all,they never expected her to behave that way rather cried out for her Dad’s death.

“Are you okay Eva?
Mrs Cantu asked.

“Oh yes am okay,Did you expect me to cry over a man that is not worthy of it? I will never cry over that man,he never for one day treat and accept me as his daughter”
She said.

They talked about for some while gave her the things they brought for her before leaving.

A YEAR LATER
Weeks passed,months passed got into a year they have not heard from Fred not even a visit or a phone call which also allowed at the Orphange nothing from him.

Could it be that Fred has forgotten about them or what?

Eva couldn’t stop thinking about the word he said to her,how he promised them that he will come back for them nevertheless she never gave up on waiting hoping and believing that one day he will come for them as he promised.

Two parents had came to adopt Eva but she refuses to be adopted by them,she told them that she will not be adopt by anyone that she is waiting for someone,he will come and take her out from this place.

Boboy has been so good to him,caring and protecting her from the hands of those bullies,he is always with her and spending more time with her more then when Fred was around,he started growing fond of her like before.

Early Saturday’s morning around 1am,the kitchen caught up fire a serious one,it burnt down the kitchen and nobody noticed it not even the watchmen .
