I swore to myself that I’ll never taste any human flesh or blood or any kind of blood till the day I leave this world… But I was horrified to see the first blood I tasted was that of my own husband..
To be honest the blood was delicious, that I wanted more but I couldn’t let that desire get control of me…
For the past couple of weeks now, I’ve been putting quite a pressure on Riley, and I loved watching him do my bidding, but I felt sorry for him, I just wanted to see how serious he was about having this baby with me.. I felt disheartened when I found out I’ve sinking my teeth into his flesh for a while and he didn’t even tell me about it… That night after I saw the horrible thing I did, I teleported out of the house and found myself under the Iroko tree, In that moment I felt some kind of peace and I was able to think clearly..
As I sat on one of the branches of the tree, O began to rethink about what happened moments ago.. How could I do such a thing? What even incited me to do that? If Riley hadn’t pushed me off I would have bitten off his flesh right off… Damn! The problems of this pregnancy is too much, First I can’t eat normal human food for nine months, and now I’m a cannibalized witch because of it… If only Riley wasn’t happy and working hærd to make this pregnancy work so we could have a healthy baby, I would have aborted the damn thing.. The only way this kind of this could be avoided and not let it happen again is a keep my distance away from Riley.. I don’t want to take any chances.
Hours passed as I sat on the tree branch looking up into the sky staring at the stars, In that moment I felt some kind of solace, like I was floating on air, there was no noise, just the wheezing sound of breeze and the creaking sound of bugs, I inhaled the fresh air feeling good all over my body, sleep had disappeared completely from my eyes, All I wanted to do was enjoying the view of the beautiful night.

Then Suddenly that perfect solace of silent peace was shattered when I heard my name being called… I thought I was imagining things but then I heard my name been called again, I recognized who’s voice it was , It was Riley, I knew he would come eventually but what took him so long? He called me again for the third time and I looked down and saw him down below, I ignored him still and laid back on the branch, then to my surprise, He blurted out saying he was going to climb up the tree, I knew he would so I decided to avoid making contact with him, I quickly casted a spell on the tree covering it with sharp thorns…
I looked down and saw Riley examining the tree, I was hoping this would show him i wasn’t in need of his company and would make him go back home but then He did something that surprised me.. He started to climb the tree… I couldn’t believe it.. Was he nuts? He could get injure or worst… I had to do something to make him stop so he wouldn’t do something awful to himself.

Christen ➡ What are you doing?

Riley ➡ What does it look like?

Christen ➡ Get down.. You’ll hurt yourself.

Riley ➡ I will if you agree to come down.
.

Christen ➡ Don’t kid yourself because I wont.. For you information the thorns are poisonous.. You’ll die if one of them pricks you.

Riley ➡ Is that so? Well I don’t care.. I’m still going to climb up, if I die, I’ll be glad to know I died by your hands and I forgive you..

I couldn’t believe he was seriously climbing the tree despite the scary looking thorns on it.. I was touched by his guts and motivation.. I was excited that he would go through this ordeal just to get to me.. I’ve been rough on him lately, it’s time I made a little easy for him.

Christen ➡ Please don’t climb up..

Riley ➡ Are you going to get down?

Christen ➡……………

Riley ➡ Christen?
.

Christen ➡ Yes?

Riley ➡ Get down from that branch..

Christen ➡… Okay.. Please just don’t climb up.

I stood and flew down from the branch and landed in front of Riley.. He stood still putting his hands on his wa-ist as he stared at me, I looked away feeling a bit shy and nervous.. I couldn’t stare into his face, though he may not show it but I bet he’s feeling a bit annoyed about all this, After a brief moment of silence between us, Riley finally spoke up.

Riley ➡ Do you have any idea how long I’ve been looking for you? I even had to look for help from your friends in the hangout, Even Rose too helped me out.

I felt startled when Riley shouted at me.. He’s never done that before… What’s come over him…

Riley ➡ That’s not your choice to make.. I’ve already embraced the mishaps that might occur when you told me about the changes you were going through,.. And not for once have I complained about the tiring errands you sent me on.. Riley pulled me closer wrapping his arms around my wa-ist, I hugged him tightly and lovingly, we stood like that for a while enjoying each other’s warmth. After that, Riley pulled away from me and removed his robe and covered me with it, It was then I realized, I only had my nightgown on my body, After that he picked me up in his arms and took me home, on our way there I realized he was shivering a little bit, The weather 🌥 that night was quite chilly.

Riley ➡ I am.. That’s why I covered you with my robe, you’re pregnant, you shouldn’t be exposed to the cold like this, it might affect the baby.

After that, I laid back comfortably on his arms until we got home, as We got into the house, We noticed Rose and aunt Jezebel in the house, as soon as they saw me they rushed towards us to check and see if I was okay.

I broke up and started to cry… I didn’t even know where to start or tell about how Grandma died, Riley sat next to me consoling me.. After a while, I summoned up enough courage to tell them about everything that happened before and after she died, Everyone was shocked when I told them everything, Aunt Jezebel stood looking at me while took her seat and covered her face with her hands.

After that we did as my Aunt said, there wasn’t much for me to take, Riley however had a lot of carry but Aunt Jezebel teleported all his stuff to Grandmas house, after we were done packing, I covered the house with my illusion magic 💫 making it look like a forest.. If anything I couldn’t destroy this house cause it was very close to my favorite s₱0t and once I’ve through this pregnancy, I’m coming back to it.
After that we all went to Grandmas house, the place was quite spacious but it wasn’t my dream house, the place wasn’t just right for me.. As soon as Rose and Aunt Jezebel accompanied us to the house, they left us and went on their way, as soon as they were gone, Riley and I spread out some blankets and slept in the living room, we couldn’t possibly sleep on my grandmother’s bed.

Riley ➡ So this is your grandmother’s place.. It’s nice.

Christen ➡ Yeah but I prefer my own house.

Riley ➡ What’s wrong with this place? It’s spacious..

Christen ➡ I know but I just don’t feel it..

Riley ➡ Well, our stay here isn’t permanent.. We’ll be out of here as soon as you give birth.

Christen ➡ Yeah. But it’s quite long.. I’ll have to stay here for a 9 months..

Riley ➡ Don’t worry.. We’ll get through this in no time.. I’ll be always be here for you.

Riley ➡ Good night.

Staying in grandma’s house wasn’t that bad at all, Riley and I soon got used to the place, we never told anyone about our new place except for the ones we could really trust.. Since the university strike was still going on, Riley decided to use his time and resources to start a business, as for me, I stayed at home comfortably spending my time reading Grandmas spell books, I also read one book about a witch’s pregnancy and I learned a lot, I found out that my baby bump won’t start to show until I’m in my third month and I’m now in my first month.. When I wasn’t reading books, I would stuff my stomach with milk and honey but that isn’t always the case cause I usually run out of both of them and I’ll be forced to starve until Riley comes back, but then Riley who wasn’t comfortable with me starving myself, he decided that I should drink blood and eat flesh but I refused, so I decided to slow down on my chow down and manage things…
A week after we moved to our new temporary house, Riley told his mother and relatives about my pregnancy, she was so thrilled she decided to throw a party on my behalf, so on the appointed day.. Riley and I went over to his mothers house, The party started around in the evening, I also invited Esther and my cousins to the house, even some of the mystic beings at the hangout showed up at the party..
Riley’s mom also invited some people especially her church members, I felt annoyed when I realized Deborah was among. So after a while, Riley’s mom gathered us around the table to have a nice evening meal. As we all took our seats, She stood up and made a toast.

Sara ➡ Good evening ladies and gentlemen, welcome all of you for attending this wonderful gathering to celebrate a very special moment.. My son’s fiancee Christen is pregnant with his child and I’m so happy with words I don’t even know what to say… This wonderful lady here has changed my son’s life… I can’t repay her for what she’s done for me and my son but I can pray to God to bless her.. Everyone happily grabbed their plates and began to pour heaps of food on their plates, the meal 🍽 that was prepared what jollof rice and beans which was assorted with meat and fish.. The food smelled so delicious but I knew what would happen.. I watched as everyone happily ate their food, Riley’s mom noticed me and asked what happened.

Sara ➡ Christen.. Why aren’t you eating?

Christen ➡ Urh.. I’m not hungry..

Riley ➡ Yes mom, she has already eaten before we got here.

Debby ➡ She should eat, the baby in her needs to be sound and healthy.

Christen ➡ Its alright.. I’ll eat the food a little cause I don’t what to over feed myself and the baby.

Riley served a little portion on the plate for me to eat, as I took a spoon of the rice and beans.. I almost vomited… The food tasted bitter and horrible in my mouth, I maintained myself and swallowed the food hærd into my stomach.. I felt dizzy after that, everyone was looking at me especially that SL*t of a woman,(Deborah).. I decided to manage and eat the food, as I took the second spoonful of the food, I nearly spat it out, it was even more horrible than the first one, I felt my body heating up and swearing was starting to gather around my body, Riley insisted that I stop bur I refused, I didn’t want his mother to feel bad and unappreciated, besides it was because of me she went through all this trouble of making this food.
About 30 mins later, I was done with the damn food, everything on my plate was gone, After I had swallowed the last spoonful, I excused myself and went to the toilet to vomit 🤢.
Thankfully the water closet was clean so I vomited out everything that I ate, my body felt so weak that I could barely stand… In that moment, Riley came into the toilet and saw the state I was in, he carried my up and took my to his bedroom, as soon as we got there, he laid me down on his bed 🛌.
