God, what a bummer!

Just when I thought that this night couldn’t get any worse, my own aunt had to make a lousy tag-team selection that felt like a sour taste in my mouth. Teaming up with Robin isn’t something that I’m against but I would prefer if Rotimi was by my side. The fact that my boyfriend was teamed up with his ex bothered me alot that I couldn’t stop thinking about what was going on between them. Rotimi may not be in love with Lola anymore but that doesn’t mean that he can resist her when she s-duces him. However despite how bothered I was, I decided to focus and not get carried away by my emotions.
Shortly after arriving in one of the streets of Ibadan, Robin and I went to work as soon as we could. The place was overrun by deadly spirits and demons not to mention the dead bodies laying around. Using the lightening magic as my first assault, I quickly unleashed and manipulated it within the vicinity of the street Robin and I were in killing these damned creatures. Robin too used his commandment spell killing them off steadily, our team-work was fast and effective at least for little while.

Robin ➡ Omo, this is too easy.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Don’t let your guard down. There’s still hundreds of this creatures ruining around.

Robin ➡ Relax, we’ve got this covered.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Let’s just get this done quick so that we can get meet with the others. They might need our help.
.

Robin ➡ See this one. You can’t fool me, I know you’re unsatisfied with your aunt’s choice of team selection. You’re just itching to get back to your boyfriend.
.

After that statement, I ignored Robin and focused on the task at hand but before neither of us could get far, we were suddenly and unexpectedly intercepted. Standing here a few meters away from was a very large spirit with six eyes and wide mouth that vertical on it’s face. As if it’s ugliness wasn’t bad enough, the spirit gave off a very foul smell that nearly scrambled my brain. Robin’s face squeezed with discomfort as he perceived the smell, he even had to pull back to avoid it.

Robin ➡ Omo, this smell no be here o.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ I agree. This is too much.
.

Robin ➡ Let’s kill this b-stard jare.
.

Suddenly as if the spirit understood what the Robin had said, it reacted and went crazy. Instead of attacking us, the spirit increased it’s awful smell making it stronger than ever. The smell was even more devastating than ever, it was making it difficult for us to think rationally.
In that moment, I noticed a cat on a building mewling in agony and within a matter of seconds, it curled up and died on the s₱0t but that wasn’t all, it’s white fur also became black. Not only was the smell awful but it was also poisonous and to make things worse the atmosphere was clouded in this awful smell and it was spreading around. This b-stard was polluting and poisoning the air with it’s stench and if it keeps doing so, lots of people could die instantly. As quickly as I could, I casted a healing spell on myself and Robin before launching an assault on the spirit. Seeing that I was about to attack it, the damned thing took off instantly running for its life.

Robin ➡ The werey is getting away.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ That’s what you think.
.

Aiming at the direction the spirit was heading to, I opened a petrifying portal right in front of it and in it’s haste, the spirit went right through it turning into stone. Robin was astonished by what happened that he couldn’t keep quiet about it.

Robin ➡ So you can cast transmutation magic as well?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ You know transmutation magic?
.

Robin ➡ Sure, the petrifying spell is one of it’s categories. What kind of witch are you exactly cause I’ve seen you cast so many different magic. It doesn’t add up.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Let’s just focus on the task at hand. Now that spirit is dead. It’s time for me to clear the atmosphere of this smell. We have go check on the others as soon as we’re done. Let’s hope that they’re alright.

{ ROTIMI }

Being paired up with Lola wasn’t something I was comfortable with. The fact that we were once an item even made the situation more awkward than it is. Minutes after, we had arrived at some commercial street in the city, Lola and I went to work but whilst we were doing that, she began to annoy me.

Lola ➡ Of all the people I had to be partnered with…. Why me?
.

Rotimi ➡ Hey… I don’t like this either. Since we’re here let’s do what we’re assigned to do and let’s get going.

Lola ➡ So tell me, how’s life with that pompous life form?
.

Rotimi ➡ Mind your business. You have no right to know what’s going on between my girlfriend and I.
.

Lola ➡ Whatever, besides Robin is a lot more fun than you in all aspects.
.

Rotimi ➡ I don’t care and besides, our relationsh¡p wasn’t real anyways. It was built on lust and nothing more. What Ebinoluwa and I have is special.
.

Lola ➡ (laughs) I can’t believe I’m hearing this nonsense… Love is nothing but a farce to us supernatural beings. We live based on our desires. You may think that Ebinoluwa loves you but trust me, if she finds someone more interesting than you, she won’t hesitate to dump you.

Rotimi ➡ Just shut your mouth. I know what you’re trying to do and it won’t work. You’re just mad that I chose Ebinoluwa over you.

Lola’s face frowned as I said that but before she could give me a reply, a loud s¢ræm interrupted us. Rushing to the place where the s¢ræm came from, Lola and I froze as we saw lady s¢ræming as a young guy or perhaps her lover was being eaten by a demonic being that looked like a dog. It was so big and it’s body was so messed up that words couldn’t describe it.

Lola ➡ By the devil’s might… This demon is quite huge. Come on Rotimi, let’s kill it.
.

Rotimi ➡ Wait Lola… don’t.
.

Despite my objections, Lola went ahead and attacked the demon using her magic, she ignited the demon into flames killing it instantly but that only made things worse. The lady who was witnessing all of this s¢ræmed and took off running for her life but before she could get far, another demonic dog appeared and killed her instantly. Seeing the face of the demonic dog made Lola spit in disgust, it had about a dozen eyes and there was mucus dripping from its mouth. Just as Lola was about to attack again, we heard angry growls around us and as we turned around there were about hundreds of the demonic dogs surrounding us.

Lola ➡ This is not good.
.

Rotimi ➡ Whatever you do, don’t get bitten.
.

Lola ➡ Look… What are those things?
.

Just when I thought the demon dogs were trouble, another group of horrifying beings showed up. Standing in the midst of the dogs were baby like creatures, their skin were pale and white and their eyes were missing. Seeing that we were outnumbered and out matched, I grabbed Lola’s arm and took off. It may seem cowardly considering the fact that I’m half demon but this was the logical thing to do.

Lola ➡ Why are we running? We can take them.
.

Rotimi ➡ That’s what you think. We have to avoid them.
.

Lola ➡ Well, it’s too late for that.
.

Rotimi ➡ Why?
.

Lola ➡ They’re chasing us.
.

As I turned around, I noticed that Lola was right, the damned things were chasing us and they were incredibly fast. What’s even worse is that they went through building and objects easily without being slowed down.
.

Lola ➡ Ogbeni, we should stay and fight. They won’t stop chasing us.
.

Rotimi ➡ We can’t. They outnumber us and your magic isn’t enough to kill them all at once.
.

Lola ➡ Well, do something cause they’re about to catch up to us.
.

It s–ks not being able to do anything. I do have powers but it’s not enough to take out these beings. If Ebinoluwa or Doris were here, they would have handled things better but still I had to figure out a way to kill these creatures or else Lola and I will be on their menu. Whilst I was busy running with Lola, we passed across a tall building that was engulfed in flames, an idea soon popped into my head and I quickly used it. Instantly, I dashed into the burning building with Lola heading all the way up. As expected, the demon’s followed us in chasing h-rder than ever. As we finally got to the top, I released Lola and waited for the demons to show.

Lola ➡ What’s the meaning of this?

Rotimi ➡ Just shut up. I have plan.
.

Lola ➡ Just tell me already.
.

Rotimi ➡ Okay fine.. Just be ready to teleport when the building starts to collapse.
.

Lola ➡ Collapse?
.

Rotimi ➡ Here they come.
.

In that moment, the demon’s showed up in their great number charging towards Lola and I. Before they could get close, I touched the building unleashing my bad luck juju on the structure and then smashed the roof with all my might heading back into the building. It wasn’t easy dribbling or getting past demons but I had to do it. Before long, the building started to rumble falling apart instantly. The demons who were busy chasing me were crushed by the heavy concrete structure that fell on them and seeing that I wasn’t going to make it out on time, I jumped through an open window and fell 5 storeys down onto the cold street.
As I got back to my feet, I noticed that the whole building had collapsed and Lola who had bailed me out on the roof engulfed the rubbles in flames. Just when we thought that everything was finally over, another demon appeared but this one was on a whole different level. Not only did the demon have a skeletal appearance but it also has the ability to s–k out the spirits of any living being . Stealing a humans spirit won’t kill them physically but it will destroy them mentally and make them completely useless throughout their lives. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the demon had a very terrifying fave that even Lola was forced to s¢ræm her lungs out. The demon who had already sensed our presence focused it’s attention on me as if it knew me. Just when I thought the demon was going to attack, it opened it’s mouth and spoke.

Spirit demon ➡ (demon dialect).. Xhdiir jmfmfl hdhbrbdndn…… (You over there, you smell different.)

Lola ➡ Rotimi,.. Is it talking to you?
.

Thanks to Aunt Folade and the half demon blood flowing in my veins understanding the language was quite easy for me. It took me 90yrs before I could understand and fluently speak the language of my demon kin. Although the language can only be spoken and understood amongst demons, no being even the supernatural ones could ever comprehend or speak this language even if it takes them forever to learn it.

Rotimi ➡ (demon dialect)…. Qhdjd… Xghdur ifjfn ncijfnt…… (Yes. I’m different, I’m a half human half demon)

Spirit demon ➡ (demon dialect) TRMKDK!!…. LSUHRND NDJFJKF!…… (Abomination… Your kind should be exterminated)

Rotimi ➡ (demon dialect) Quehrbb! Xhdjdudi ksjdhdj……. ( You don’t belong here. Who sent you ? . )
.

Spirit demon ➡ (demon dialect) Egrudnr Vsudjdn Wvsint ….. (We were released by a witch ).
.

Rotimi ➡ (demon dialect) Xi Wvsint? Sjht orb isbr? …. (A witch?…. What’s her name?)

Spirit demon ➡ (demon dialect) Qyebd… Iwihrbd ndjrj Ziej…. (Enough talk impure breed, Prepare to die)

Lola ➡ Ah.. What are you 2 discussing?
.

Rotimi ➡ Later.. Right now, we need to capture this one alive.. Whatever you do, don’t kill him.
.

Lola ➡ I hope he doesn’t fight too hærd.

{ OMNI-POV }

Walking alone in one of the quiet streets of Ibadan, Doris grumbles and mumbles about Hadiza’s revelation. She was mad with jealousy about the fact that her little sugar Riley Jr was engaged with Hadiza. Thinking that the northern witch was responsible for this turn of events, Doris swore to do whatever it takes to make sure that the union between the 2 collapsed.
Meanwhile as the young witch was passing by, A couple of ladies who were extremely panicked by what was happening approached her hoping she could help them. Unfortunately for the young girls who had no idea they had approached a witch had sealed their fates.

Girl 1 ➡ (speaking Yoruba) Mà bi nu…. E dá kun…. (Help us please)
.

Girl 2 ➡ Please… Help us.. Please..
.

Instead of feeling pity of the young ladies that groveled at her feet, Doris smiled wickedly enjoying the look of misery in the faces of the young ladies. In that very moment, Doris grabs both of the girls by their throats separating their feet from the ground. As the young ladies struggle to break free from Doris’s grasp, the heartless witch laughs at their faces and then s–ks out their life-force draining their completely until their bodies were dried up. After feasting on her victims, Doris throws away their corpses and walks away but before she could go far, something unexpectedly occurs.
Holding her own against spirits and demons in the next corner, Hadiza fights hærd swinging her wh¡ps expertly and gracefully tearing off her foes with ease. Meanwhile, Doris who had arrived on the scene hissed angrily as she saw Hadiza and instead of helping her out, she decided to do nothing. Despite not getting any assistance from Doris, Hadiza was able to handle the situation all by herself, it didn’t take long for her to clear her own portion of spirits and demons. Feeling tired and exhausted, Hadiza stretched her limbs to ease the stress and whilst she was doing that, her eyes caught the glimpse of Doris staring at her in an unpleasant way.

Hadiza ➡ It’s rude to sneak up on people like that but the again, what do you know about manners?
.

Doris ➡ Watch your tongue your northern sl-t!
.

Hadiza ➡ Still can’t believe that we crossed paths after separating from each other. I’m sure you’re not here to just to sneak up behind me.
.

Doris ➡ I’m going to say this once.. Stay away from Junior.
.

Hadiza ➡ I don’t like to gloat but it is you who needs to back off. After all, he’s mine.
.

Doris ➡ We’ll see about that. Better watch your back.
.

Hadiza ➡ Your threats mean nothing to me. In fact, you don’t deserve him, you’re nothing but a bad influence on him. I’ve tapped into his juvenile mind and I’ve see what you’ve done. Do you think his sister let it slide if she found out you ravished her little brother? I won’t let you corrupt him. He may be a pervy brat but he’s still a kid.

Doris. ➡ See this b-tch. Who need morals? That stupidity is for the humans. Junior is a wizard.
.

Hadiza ➡ He’s also half human. That side of him makes his special.
.

Doris ➡ Special!? What’s special about being human? I’ve had enough of this nonsense talk. Either you stay away from him or die..
.

Hadiza ➡ Everyone dies eventually but I have a feeling yours will come soon enough if you keep lingering on my fiance.
.

Angered by Hadiza’s words, Doris burns with rage trying to attack Hadiza, the latter too tightens her grip on wh¡ps imbuing her magic energy on them waiting for Doris to make her move but before either of the witches could engage in a bitter brawl, an unexpected interference puts the fight on hold.
Charging towards Hadiza and Doris in a wrecked up Mercedes Benz, Chris tightens his grip on the wheel as he shouts at the 2 witches to move out of the way. Morenike who was beside him s¢ræms out loud with fear as she clutches the seat belt tightly. In that very moment, a big black hawk flies down and yanks the 2 out of the car before they could crash. Shortly after Chris and Morenike were taken out of the car, Doris utters some magic words making the car to stop instantly.
After dropping off Chris and Morenike safely on the ground, the black hawk suddenly transforms into Riley Jr. Excited about the events of the night, the young wizard looks around with a smile on his face but his expression quickly changes as he notices both Hadiza and Doris.

Riley jr ➡ EWO!…
.

Hadiza ➡ Junior.. What are you doing here? I thought your sister said you should stay at home.
.

Riley jr ➡ Don’t mind the werey.. Who stays at home on a night like this?
.

Doris ➡ Junior.. We need to talk.
.

Riley jr ➡ You say Wetin?
.

Doris ➡ You heard me you little punk.
.

Morenike ➡ Jesus Christ… I thought I was going to die.
.

Chris ➡ Are you alright?
.

Morenike ➡ Yes.. Junior, where’s Helen and Sara?
.

Riley jr ➡ They jumped off and went to a different direction. Don’t worry, they’ll be fine.
.

Morenike ➡ OYA WEREY NI???…. How can you say that? If anything happens to those girls.. Their mother will… Oh God.. This is bad.
.

Hadiza ➡ Relax, let’s go look for them.
.

Morenike ➡ Sure, let’s…. Wait, where’s Junior?
.

Chris ➡ The other witch isn’t here as well. Did they go somewhere.
.

Hadiza ➡ That b-tch! You 2 should stay put, I’ll go look for Junior.
.

Morenike ➡ No Hadiza.. Don’t leave us here.
.

Unfortunately for Morenike and Chris , Hadiza had already opened a portal and jumped through it before they could stop her. Stuck the worst case scenario they could have ever imagined, both Chris and Morenike knew that they were done for but luck soon shines on them.

Chris ➡ Oh God.. I can’t believe they abandoned us. What do we do?
.

Morenike ➡ Why are you asking me?
.

Chris ➡ Well, you’re familiar with this kind of things aren’t you?.
.

Morenike ➡ I’ve never been in this situation. I’m just as helpless as you.
.

Solomon ➡ Don’t fret little mouse, have you forgotten that you have me?
.

Morenike ➡ Solomon.. Thank goodness. I’ve even forgotten about the necklace in my pocket.

Chris ➡ Who are you talking to?
.

Morenike ➡ It’s alright Chris. Everything is going to be fine.
.

Solomon ➡ FINE? Girl, you must be mad. You’re still in a hot mess, the city is filled with spirits and demons and you can’t see any of them. Don’t get your hopes up yet. Now do as I say and you shall live.
