Chapter 95 :- Never too late.

My worst fear in life is losing the things and those that are precious to me. Some may call me clingy or possessive but that’s just who I am. It’s not that easy for me to detach myself from something especially if it means alot to me. Losing my mom was the darkest moments of my life, I was devastated and hurt but I couldn’t do anything. That day I felt like I no reason for living which was why I stayed lonely for hundreds of years without bonding with anyone new.
However all of that changed when I met Riley, he pulled me out of my misery and gave me a life, a purpose to live. He gave my life meaning. I became attached and madly in love with Riley since then and I’ve never stopped loving him. For a while, I thought I was going to live the rest of my life with him in peace but then trouble came. First it was Lucas, then it was Satania, then the diabolic five and now it’s Evlyn. The biggest obstacle of all. The last few decades wasn’t easy for me cause I’ve lost and experience loss and emotional heartbreak that nearly drove me mad. After the diabolic 5 were decimated, I hoped and prayed that life would continue to be peaceful for me but then I realized, nature is all about balance.

Everything in this life cannot work without it’s opposite. Peace and conflict is something that has been going on since the dawn of time. Everything going on in this world is all on a natural balance and that’s when it realized the awful truth. Reality is harsh and nothing lasts forever. If I truly wanted my life with Riley to last then I had to take action in my own hands. For so long, I’ve been sitting around watching my loved ones at deaths door but no more. This time around I will do whatever it takes to save and protect them.

Accepting my dark side was the last thing I wanted to do but this was the only way. Evlyn’s a monster and in order to fight her, I too had to become a monster but unfortunately I may have turned into something far worse. There was a line I never wanted to cross and that was draining the life force of other beings. For 2 centuries, I never crossed that line despite all the temptations but now I have crossed that line and there was no going back. Feeling that life force flow inside me was like a having thousands of orgasms at once. It was too much to resist and I couldn’t control myself. Ever since I drained that eyed monster’s life force, I had no idea who I was or what I was doing. It was like something had taken over me.
I may not have been consciously aware of the damage that I’ve done but deep down, I can’t ignore this side of me. This is who I am now and there’s no way I’m going back to who I used to be, what’s done is done.

Presently, here I was lying half-conscious somewhere in the forest regions of Benue. My clothes were completely tattered and ripped off not to mention that I was exhausted and hungry. After escaping the explosion at the fortress, I got hold of my senses and recalled my experience at the fortress. I was devastated by what I did especially to Riley. I cried all night after I recalled what happened between Riley and I. As much as wanted to go back and check on him, I was afraid that I might have killed him cause that lightning sparks was too powerful and could kill a demon. Whilst I was busy moping silently, my dark half appeared before me.

Dark Christen ➡ Will you stop crying already? Our Riley isn’t dead.

Christen ➡ How sure are you?

Dark Christen ➡ Magic doesn’t affect him, remember?

Death is truly a terrifying thing cause it is a wake-up that reminds us all the end is truly inevitable. Having the chance to experience death twice, I have to say that I’m freaking scared of it cause it is the finality of everything . I can’t explain or understand why God still keeps me alive but I do understand one thing and that is my time will surely come.
Some people say that they’re not afraid of death or the afterlife but they’re wrong. They just don’t have any idea what death is like, which is why people should learn to value their lives and spend their time wisely cause one truly knows when their end is coming. Some think living the life of luxury is the good life but they’re wrong, life is a lot more than that. After the explosion at Evlyn’s fortress, I blacked out completely for God knows how long. At first, I thought I was dead but then eventually as I woke up I found out that I was in a coma for 48hrs. The first thing I saw after I opened my eyes was the ceiling fan in my matrimonial bedroom, then afterwards I saw Ebinoluwa’s cat which was staring at me with it’s green fiendish eyes without even blinking. I was confused at first but I realized I was inside my home. I tried to sit up but then I felt enormous pain in my midsection that made me lie down again and it didn’t take long for me to fall asleep.

Presently, here I was again on my bed awake staring at the ceiling. After a short while, I managed to sit up with difficulty cause my body was still aching but not like before. Immediately I sat up, I looked around and noticed there was no one in the room. As I was trying to get off the mattress, Ebinoluwa, junior and Morenike showed up in the room with excited look on their faces. They all sat on the bed right next to me asking about my health.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Dad, how are you feeling?

Riley ➡ My body still hurts but I’m fine.

Riley Jr ➡ Daddy are you sure cause you sure received a lot of wotowoto.

In that moment, my children and I faced the direction of the door and there was Bimpe standing looking hot and sexy in her T-shirt and sweat pants that looked real tight on her. In that moment, a young handsome guy with a strong resemblance with Bimpe appeared into the room and stood a few meters away from the rest of us. Judging by his choice of clothing and the tattoo of angels and demons on both of his arms, I could tell that he’s a wizard. He also has a calm yet intense magical essence all around him.

In that moment, I was stunned by that revelation made by Bimpe. I remained quiet for a long time after lowering my aching head to ease the pain. This information was too much to process and at first I didn’t want to believe it but I remained the sex I had with Bimpe 20yrs ago in Christen’s family house which I was summoned to for proposing to Christen and then there’s the orgy we had during our engagement party. I realized since Christen and I have come to an understanding, I could reveal your son to you.

Riley ➡ How could you do something like that? How do you expect me to bond with our son after all these years. Does he even know about me?

Bimpe ➡ He does and he has seen you lots of times. He knows alot about you.

Akinbilege ➡ I understand this is hard to take in and I apologize for mom’s actions if it has caused you any discomfort. Despite what my mom did, I respect her actions cause she believed my presence would cause some kind of family feuds and she didn’t want that and so did I.
I’ve been wanting to see you all for a while now cause I’ve heard so many interesting things about you. However, I would like you to know that I’m not here to stay, I’m just here to greet you all and head back to Abuja.
