My late grandma always says * Unexpected events brings unexpected changes * and I must say that she’s right. Evlyn’s reincarnation was totally unexpected and nobody saw that coming but thanks to her appearance, a lot of unexpected changes have occured. For instance, the appearance of my step brother and the sudden change of my mom’s personality. All of these is because of Evlyn which is the reason why she must be stopped at all costs. Her existence is a virus to everything and everyone, she’s like a plague that destroys the very essence of life and if care is not taken, she might be the end of everything.
Presently here inside my parent’s living room, Aunt Jezebel and Titi had gathered us all to choose a rescue team that would go save mom, everything was going well until Aunt Rose made an unexpected nomination.

Jezebel ➡ Alright everyone, Rescuing Christen is our top priority now and we can’t afford to make any mistakes.

Titi ➡ Precisely! Which is why we need to choose a small team that will be enough to contain the situation before it escalates.

Rose ➡ Good, we’ll also need Rotimi.

Rose ➡ Because he’s half demon.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Well, he’s not the only demon in our disposal! Can’t we use Solomon?

Titi ➡ There’s a reason why my sister, your grandmother sealed him away. He’s too powerful.

Titi ➡ Your grandmother was the most powerful Sealing witch that ever existed. Her Sealing spells is beyond supernatural. There’s no sealing witch or wizard that can meet up to her standards.

Rose ➡ Why are you so miffed about letting your boyfriend join us?.

Ebinoluwa ➡ It’s nothing.

Rose ➡ You lying b-tch! I know that look. It seems you had a quarrel with your half breed lover. I suggest you go talk to him.

Ebinoluwa ➡ I’m really not in the mood.

Rose. ➡ I wasn’t asking. Unless you want to see your mother again, I suggest you go talk to your boyfriend and I mean now.

Despite wanting to refuse Aunt Rose’s request, I knew I had no choice. Mom’s soul was at stake and time was running out. I decided to swallow my pride and go over to Rotimi’s place and talk to him. Hopefully, I hope he agrees.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Alright, I will go.

Rose ➡ Good and make sure he comes here with you.

Ebinoluwa ➡ And if he doesn’t.

🌹 Writer’s Pov 🌹

Shortly after Ebinoluwa leaves the house, Riley makes his way down to the living room looking casually dressed. Unknown to Rose and the others, Riley had overhead their plans about rescuing Christen and he didn’t like how they were going about it. After making his presence known, Riley speaks to everyone his opinion over their plans.

Riley ➡ What is going on here?
.

Bimpe ➡ Riley, you should rest.
.

Riley ➡ I’m fine.
.

Rose ➡ Well, we’re planning to rescue your wife!
.

Riley ➡ I know, it’s not going to work. As far as we know, Christen is dangerous and going in groups will only intimidate her.
.

Titi ➡ So what are you suggesting?
.

Riley ➡ Let me go alone.
.

Rose ➡ Seriously? What makes you think that she won’t suck you dry?
.

Riley ➡ Well, she tried to but here I am.
.

Jezebel ➡ Don’t get so cocky Riley. This is a dangerous gamble and we can’t risk that. For your safety and others, it’s best if we mystic beings take care of this.
.

Riley ➡ This could lead into a fight and that will not end well.
.

Rose ➡ You let us worry about that besides you’re in no shape to do anything. So go back to bed and sleep.
.

Riley ➡ Don’t talk to me like that, you’re in my house.
.

Rose ➡ No! You’re in Christen’s house? Don’t forget!

Seeing as the tensions were rising between his brother and wife, Lionel interferes in the situation and leads Riley to the bedroom. After moving away from the living room, Riley teleports both himself and his brother outside the house where he tells him about his own plan to rescue Christen.

Lionel ➡ Riley, what are you doing?
.

Riley ➡ Keep your voice down before they hear us. There’s something I want to tell you.
.

Lionel ➡ What is it?
.

Riley ➡ I’m going to save Christen by myself.
.

Lionel ➡ Are you insane!? What if she kills you?
.

Riley ➡ She won’t. I know her.
.

Lionel ➡ I don’t know.. What if this goes wrong? Just leave it to Rose and the others to handle it.
.

Riley ➡ No.. I won’t. I have to do this.
.

Lionel ➡ What is wrong with you? You’ve always been like this.
.

Riley ➡ What do you mean?
.

Lionel ➡ You always act like you’re special or leading a charmed life but you’re wrong. Your connection with these supernatural beings is just pure luck! Just because Christen didn’t kill you when you guys first met doesn’t mean she can’t now. Don’t overstep your boundaries.
.

Riley ➡ I may be overstepping my boundaries but that won’t stop me from saving my wife. Dangerous or not, Christen is my responsibility and if I’m going to die by her hands then so be it but nothing will stop me from trying to save her. You can tell the others if you want.

Lionel ➡ Riley… Riley!
.

Ignoring his brother’s call, Riley teleports out of sight leaving Lionel alone outside the premises of his house. After standing idle for a while, Lionel heads straight back into his brother’s house. Meanwhile here in the 666 lounge, Lionel goes about his normal business making himself some snack to eat and whilst he was doing that, his demonic Aunt Folade appears and begins to ask him questions.

Aunt Folade ➡ Nephew!

Rotimi ➡ Greetings aunty.
.

Aunt Folade ➡ Hmm, is everything alright?

Rotimi ➡ What do you mean?
.

Aunt Folade ➡ You spent 2 days in this place without seeing your witch girlfriend. Did something happen?
.

Rotimi ➡ We had a fight, nothing serious.
.

Aunt Folade ➡ Whose fault was it?
.

Rotimi ➡ It’s hers. She blamed me for something I wasn’t responsible of. Why do women think emotionally instead of logically?

Aunt Folade ➡ Well, this is something common. You need to learn to tolerate that. It’s hard but you just have to be patient. Has she contacted you yet?

Rotimi ➡ Nope, she’s probably waiting for me to come and apologize.
.

Aunt Folade ➡ There’s no need for you to worry about that cause she’s here.

Rotimi ➡ What?
.

Aunt Folade ➡ Yes, I can smell her scent.
.

In that moment, Rotimi catches the whiff of Ebinoluwa’s scent which triggers is lustful desires as he recalls the intimate moments they both shared not so long ago. Despite feeling turned on by his girlfriend’s presence, Rotimi controls himself and before long Ebinoluwa appears before him looking attractive despite her casual look.

Aunt Folade ➡ Ms. Ebinoluwa, it’s been a while.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Indeed it has. Can you please excuse your nephew and I? I would like to talk to him alone.

Shortly after Rotimi’s demonic aunt leaves, Ebinoluwa keeps quiet for some seconds without talking to him and the first words that came out of her mouth shocks him completely.

Ebinoluwa ➡ So, I don’t matter to you anymore huh? You leave me for 2 days and you don’t even bother to call?
.

Rotimi ➡ (shocked) Are you for real? If I remember correctly, you yelled at me, blamed me for something I didn’t do and then told me to leave. Now you’re asking me why I didn’t call?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ (silently) I’m sorry.
.

Rotimi ➡ What? I didn’t hear you.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ I said that I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have treated you the way I did.
.

Rotimi ➡ And I’m sorry for not checking up on you. How’s your father?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ He’s fine physically but not mentally. He’s worried about my mom.
.

Rotimi ➡ Is your aunt doing anything about it?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ As a matter of fact, we’ve hatched up a plan to rescue her and we need you.
.

Rotimi ➡ So that’s why you’re here?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Yes.
.

Rotimi ➡ Wow.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Look, this is an urgent situation and I have apologized to you.

Rotimi ➡ I’m not mad, okay?… (Sighs) I will help you out then we’ll talk about this when your mom is rescued.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Whatever you say.
.

Rotimi ➡ Care to join me for a snack?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Uh…. (Phone rings).. Excuse me.

Rotimi ➡ Sure.

Ebinoluwa ➡ (sighs) Hello Morenike! Tell my aunt that I’ll be coming home soon.

Morenike ➡ That’s not why I called. Your father’s gone.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Gone? Gone where?

Morenike ➡ To save mom!

Ebinoluwa ➡ What?
.

Morenike ➡ You should hurry home. He needs backup before he gets hurts.

Ebinoluwa ➡ I’ll be on my way! (ends call).. Rotimi!

Rotimi ➡ Say no more. Let’s go help your dad.

Ebinoluwa ➡ You heard?

🌹 RILEY 🌹

Psychologists say that Fear is a mental prison that restricts people from doing certain things especially things that might improve their lives for the better. Which is why it is essential for people to take risks even if it’s once in a while.
Taking risks is something I’ve been doing ever since I met Christen, sometimes those risks are reckless and crazy but still I managed to scale through.

Presently, here I was in the forest of Zambisa following Christen’s trail and from what I could see, I felt like I was getting close. Finding Christen’s whereabouts wasn’t as difficult as I thought it was. I didn’t need to look hard for her, her results of actions were all over the news. There had been reports of strange changes in the green zone not to change of landscape and weather. There was another reports of appearances of strange animals in some parts of the country. However, the report that got me worried was the disappearance of local hunters and government contractors who cleared out forest zone in order to carry out their projects. For the past 2 days, Christen has been going to state that has thick vegetation and the last place her trail ended was in Zambisa forest, Maiduguri.

30yrs ago back in the day, no sane person would come here because of Boko haram but now they’re no more and the forest was once again safe until now. After walking through the forest for nearly an hour, I finally arrived where I wanted to be. Here before my very eyes was a thick vegetation that looked very unnatural. The trees and vines looked like barricade and there was some kind of darkness around the place. Getting in was suicidal but I knew Christen was in there, so I teleported myself through.
Upon entering the place, I was approached by komodo dragon lizards which were nearly as big as a crocodile. They glared at me flipping out their tongues hungrily and just when I thought I had seen worst, hundreds of hyenas surrounded in within a matter of seconds. I knew Zambisa was a reserve but I never expected to see Hyenas here. Christen must have summoned them using her spell. For a moment, I thought that I was going to be devoured but then something unexpected occured, all the wild animals that corned me paved a path for me. I was hesitant at first until I saw Ovarkt heading towards me.

Riley ➡ Ovarkt!! Where is Christen?
.

Ovarkt ➡ She’s asked me to lead you to her place. She’s in the middle of feasting.
.

Riley ➡ Feasting!? Oh no.
.

In that moment, I ran through the path the animals paved for me. I ran so fast as if I was being chased by death himself. Hearing that word feasting meant one thing and that’s feeding and if Christen was feeding then, she might be eating flesh. I didn’t want to believe that she was doing that but I had to see for myself cause I wouldn’t know how to live with her if that happens.
Before long, I arrived at Christen’s place and there she was looking so bewitching and terrifying. Her face looked innocent but her eyes had this nightmarish vibe that made my spine rattle. Apart from her frightful look, Christen’s appearance was very pleasing to the eyes, her hair was roughed up but in a sexy way and she wore a black customized abaya which barely covered her full breasts not to mention the slit cut from both sides of her thighs.
At that moment, I wanted to talk to her but then I froze as I saw her surroundings. The place Christen positioned herself was underneath a big tree and hanging on the branches of this tree were the missing hunters and government contractors who were all barely conscious. They all looked like fruits hanging on the tree. Apart from that, the place that Christen was sitting was between 2 grown male lions. She sat and rested on them as if they were her cushions. I was stunned by all of these that I was left speechless, I would have remained quiet if Christen hadn’t called out to me.

Christen ➡ Riley honey! Is that you?
.

Riley ➡ Yes Christen, it’s me.
.

Like an excited little girl, Christen rushed towards me, hugged me and planted my lips with long warm kisses. I couldn’t resist putting my arms around her. She smelled so great and her body was warm not to mention her lips and tongue which tasted deliciously.
As we were both enjoying our kiss, Christen suddenly backed away from me stepping back slowly to her pet lions. I was confused wondering what had happened and as I tried to follow her, swarms of black wild bees surrounded me trapping me in a circle. I wanted to teleport straight to Christen’s place but I decided to act cautiously.

Riley ➡ Christen, what’s wrong?
.

Christen ➡ I…I.., you’re not suppose to be here, around me. You should stay away from me.
.

Riley ➡ But you’re my wife!! You’re my responsibility. I won’t go back not after coming all the way here.
.

Christen ➡ Do you remember what I almost did.. at the fortress? I nearly killed you, remember?
.

Riley ➡ I do but that wasn’t you.
.

Christen ➡ NO!! it was me. I did that intentionally. Please stay away from me. I don’t want to hurt you. You must go.
.

Riley ➡ If you think that I’m going away then you must be crazy!! You’re my wife and the mother of my children. Bad or not, I will not leave you. Do you remember our marriage vows? For better or worst, we’ll always be together.
.

Most people say that women are unpredictable but in some cases it’s not true. I know Christen and how to push her buttons. She may have become a bad egg but she’s still Christen. Immediately I said those words, Christen turned around trying to hide her emotions. I knew my words struck her deep within and now she’s trying to act like she didn’t care.
.

Riley ➡ Please Christen, let’s go home and let’s figure this out.
.

Christen ➡ I wish I could Riley but I’m not the wife you married. I’ve changed.
.

Riley ➡ I don’t care. You’re still my woman, my witch.
.

Christen ➡ You don’t care huh?
.

Riley ➡ No, I don’t.
.

Christen ➡ Okay then, I’m sure you won’t mind if I do this.
.

In that moment, Christen made one of the branches that held a local hunter lower down and as soon as the branch had gotten closer to her, she drained the hunter instantly before my very eyes. After that, another branch lowered close to her and she drained the person hanging on it. I knew what she was doing but I decided to control myself and after she had half nearly half of her captives, she faced me squarely and began to laugh.

Christen ➡ Tell me husband! Do you still want me? DO YOU?
.

I was speechless but I wanted to tell her that I still loved her. However, words weren’t enough, I needed to show her. I needed to prove to her that she’s mine and will always be mine. After a few minutes of silence, I teleported straight to her place and stood right in front of her. Without hesitation, I wrapped my hands around her waist and pulled her closer to me. Christen remained still and calm as I held her in my arms, her breath was slow but from the way her breasts were heaving I could tell her heart beat was fast. After staring deep into her eyes, I reached out and kissed Christen passionately tightening my arms around her. She too wrapped her hands around my head pressing her mouth against mine sharing tongues as we kissed.
After kissing for nearly 5mins, I moved my mouth away from Christen’s trying to persuade her to come with me but then something unexpected occured that ruined that chance.

Riley ➡ Christen.
.

Christen ➡ Oh honey, why did you stop? Let’s continue.
.

Riley ➡ Wait, I want us to talk please. Listen, come home with me. I know things will be different but I’m sure we’ll figure this out.

Christen ➡ Honey.. I.
.

Riley ➡ Come on, what else could wrong?
.

Just as Christen was about to give in, some kind of white mysterious light appeared close to both of us and then exploded instantly. The explosion separated Christen and I throwing us both to different directions. As I was trying to get back to my feet, Akinbilege approached me and helped me up.

Riley ➡ Akin.
.

Akinbilege ➡ Dad, you’re safe now.
.

Riley ➡ You shouldn’t have come.
.

Akinbilege ➡ Why?
.

Before I could say anything, all the tree branches in the forest charged towards Akinbilege with spiky ends trying to impale him. Seeing that there was no time to warn him, I teleported Akinbilege out of harm’s way at the cost of my own safety. The branches pierced me from all sides and it hurt like hell. Just as I was about to pass out, Christen’s scream echoed the forest and judging from the sound of it, she was really mad and pissed off.
