“Listen guys like I said yesterday, we will be ending everything today. Jeff and the twins must die today but the twins will die first”. I said and gulp down water. I can’t drink Alcohol somehow.

“But you said we are to take them to the orphanage. Why do you want to kill them now? “. I was shocked by what Becky just said.

“What do you mean?? Wait I hope it not what am thinking? Dont tell me you love them already”. Scorpion turned to Becky.

“They’re just innocent kids, we dont have to kill them they……..

“Just shut the hell up. This not the first time you’re doing a dirty job. You’ve done lots of in the past. You’ve killed lots of kids! “. Stone shouted slamming his hand down on the table.

“Listen guys….. I’ve done this in the past.. Yes but seriously I dont know why I feel attached to this kids, the………..

“Becky!!!!!! What the hell has come over you?? Am the one related to them, you dont tell me what to do with them and mind you.

Am still the boss and you be the one to carry out that operation”. I barked shaking my head in annoyance.

“First of all, I will do no such thing! Secondly you’ve helped me in the past but you’re not my boss.

And lastly Everybody here knows you’re being selfish, you just jealous over nothing. You already have your own life why not let them be! But No you’re selfish, self centered, you…………..

Boom! Stone shot her in the stomach and she gasped holding her stomach. Blood gush out of her mouth. “You all gonna regret it. Nemesis will catch up with you all, you……..

Scorpion released three bullets in her head making blood splash everywhere and she fell down.

“Bastard!! “. He cursed.

“We getting it done right away”. Scorpion said.

“And her body? “. I asked referring to the lifeless body of Becky who laid in pull of blood and her eyes wide open.

“We’ll dispose it in the river with the babies after killing them”. Stone said.

“Are you sure you’ll be able to dispose them right now in broad daylight? “. I asked.

Scorpion and stone laughed and I wondered why.

“This is not our first time, we’re expect in this. Only cowards dispose corpse in the night and we’re not cowards”.

“Okay, what about the kids, have they eaten this morning? They should eat something before dying”.

“Yeah, Becky fed them this morning not quite long and they slept off”. Stone replied inserting a cigarette in his mouth.

“Right then. I need to go before they start suspecting me. I already performed a good drama yesterday in covering myself.

It won’t be nice if I ruin it all now”. I said to them then I left the house. I made sure nobody saw me before entering my car and sped off.

EVELYN P. O. V

Jeff, Davis and I sat in the car on our way to Jocelyn’s place.

She had called earlier today that she wants me to meet someone and am so curious. Who could it be..

Jeff sat in the driver’s seat while Davis sat with me at the back.

“You gonna find your kids, dont worry”. Davis said rubbing my arm and I nodded.

I must say Davis is really a nice person and I appreciate him alot. He has been there for Jeff and I. He’s the one that got the cop and the detective for us.

I heard horn and I realize we already at Ryan’s house. The gate opened and Jeff drove in. We came out of the car and walked into the house.

“Welcome sirs and Ma’am”. The maids greeted bowing.

“Where is Jocelyn? “. Jeff asked sternly and I held his hand.

“They’re at your home ma… “. One of the maid said to me.

What game is Jocelyn playing… “Home? What home? “. I asked

“The house you shared according to madam”. Another answered.

“They’re at my home but what are thy doing there? “. I turned to Jeff.

“We’ll only find out when we get there”. Davis said. Jeff nodded in agreement.

We left the house and drove to my old house. My home. All through the drive i kept wondering why we were going there.

After 30 minutes drive we got there, immediately the gate opened and we drive in.

Five elegant cars were parked in the compound. Ryan’s guards are there too. Lots of them. Jocelyn abandoned car is still at where it was parked.

Jeff held my hand and we walked in. None of the guards were inside, just Ryan and Jocelyn who sat watching movie, they sat in a romantic way.

Ryan is playing with her hair while she focused on the TV.

I smirked. Really.. What Nonsense! Am starting to believe Jeff that Jocelyn has a hand in it.

If not why will she still have time for romance when my kids are missing. She stood up immediately she saw me, coming towards me.

“Hey sweet sister, welcome”. She smiled while I hissed in annoyance and walk towards her too.

Am not gonna be her fools anymore. I grab her hair immediately, it a new braid so it gonna hurt her big time.

“Leave her alone”. Ryan yelled as he tried getting my hands off her but I gripped tighter.

“Talk to your wife, she’s pregnant for Christ sake! “. Ryan yelled at Jeff when he realized there’s no way he could break me apart from Jocelyn without hurting her.

“Leave her Eve”. Jeff said trying to calm me but am not ready to listen.

“Please leave me alone…. I dont know about your kids please… You’re hurting me..

“What’s going on? “. I heard the voice. I recognize that voice very well. I can never forget it.

I left Jocelyn’s hair and turn around. My body went weak immediately I saw her. I covered my mouth with my palm as I gasped.

“Evelyn……. “. She called and tears rolled down her cheeks. Now I know why the house was neat the day I came. I should’ve come back.

“Mom……. “. I called in shock. “You’re Alive…… “. She nodded and smiled.

It was like magic, I was already in her arms crying.

“What happened to you mom….

We sat in the sitting room. Jeff and I sat beside my mom and held her hand like she was gonna run away from me. I dont wanna ever lose her ever again.

FLASHBACK

MRS JAMES P. O. V

“Your dad and I held hands immediately it was announced that there is a bomb in the plane. I dont know how it happened.

All I know is I opened my eyes and found myself in the midst of people. They surrounded me looking at me closely.

“She’s awake”. They murmured and i wondered where I was. Cos the last thing I saw was holding my husband.

“What happened to you? “. An elderly man among them asked. I tried to say something but I couldn’t find my voice.

“Looks like she cant talk”.A young man said and I kept looking around them.

“Take her to the man”. An old man who seems like the eldest said.

I tried standing up but I couldn’t. My headaches and my whole body, I felt so weak”.

Two young men came to me and helped me up. They took me to a room where someone laid on the bed but he was covered with white clothe.

They opened the clothe and my eyes grew wide when I saw the lifeless body of my husband. He has lots of wounds on his body.

“He couldnt survive”.One of the men holding me said.

I screamed and tried to touch him but the men held me back. Even though I couldn’t talk, they knew I had a strong connection with him.

He was buried in the village and I became a villager because I couldnt say a word.

So I was unable to tell them where I came from. But I dont even remember where I came from, i know I have a family but I dont know where we were living.

Everytime I remember you guys, I will cry my eyes out. I couldnt talk. Years rolled by and u still couldn’t talk.

Then one day, the son of the man I was living with came from the city.According to what I heard it been 5 years since he left the village.

“Who is she, father? “.

“We saw her by the river years ago with a man but he died two days after. We wanted to bury the man but since they were holding hands when we found them.

We decide to wait till she regain her conscious. Fortunately she did that same day the man died but she couldnt talk”.

“Have you tried to locate her family? “.

“She can’t talk,times without number Emeka gives her pen to even write her location but she’ll just be crying. So tell me how do you expect us to locate them? “.

“But you should’ve report to the police”.

“Nobody talk about it so why should we bother to. Moreover we don’t want to have anything to do with the police”.

“Lots of people are out there, looking for their family. Take my boss son for a example. His only child that I told you about, that he’s very nice, that he doesnt have pride despite being the only child of his rich parent, that he still love and treat people around him fairly.

His fiancee parent died in a plane crash but he still thinks they may be alive. He hired lots of people to look for them and according to him, he’s gonna provide A house, car and a job in his dad’s company to anybody that find them. He’s not ready to give up”.

“Hmm that’s serious”. The man said. All through the time I just sat at the corner listening to them.

“Am gonna take her picture and post it on the internet papa”.

“Since you said she can find her family then I dont have a problem with that”.

The young man was about to snap me when his phone rang.

“Papa, it my boss son. The one I told you”. He said before placing the phone on his ear.

📲 Hello Oga Ryan……. Yes ooo…. Am fine…. Yes….. I travelled to the village, you know it been years since I saw my old man that why I came……….. Wow…. You’ll send me money…… Haaaa Oga Ryan…. Na human being you be. God bless you sir…… What of Madam Jocelyn..

My eyes grew wide immediately I heard the name. “J-jo… Joe-joecl…. Jocelyn Jocelyn “. I voiced out.

The old man turned to me. “Jocelyn my daughter…. Jocelyn Jocelyn “. I kept saying, the young man was surprised.

“Oga Ryan… You get Madam Jocelyn mother picture…… The thing be say….. There is one woman who has been in my village for years now…. Yeah my people found her…… Exactly….. She can’t talk but immediately she heard Madam name, she voiced out….. Alright right away sir…..

BACK TO PRESENT

EVELYN P. O. V

“Thats how I found her, I did not tell Jocelyn about. I just lied that my parent wants us to marry in Nigeria and not Canada like we were planning”. Ryan said.

“You should’ve met the day you came but you did not come back”. Jocelyn added.

“Thank you so much Ryan for bringing our mother back… Jocelyn am so sorry. I…….

I was interrupted by Ryan’s phone. He placed the phone on his ear.

📲 Yeah…… Really….. Wow Bring them….. “. With that he hanged up.

“What happened?! “. Jeff and I chorused.

“They’ve caught the criminals and according to them. The mastermind is here with us”.

Jocelyn flinched immediately……
