A Glimpse Of Her (episode 5 & 6)
No matter how much someone loves you, the fastest way to drain that love and bring it to nought is by ‘cheating’. Infidelity can wreak a person’s heart and dissolve any feelings they once had for you. No one wants a partner that doesn’t have eyes for only them and no one would love to share their partner’s love and attention with another. Just the thought of Michael cheating made Tiffany sick to her stomach, talk more of him actually k!$sing another woman in a night club. Despite initially being worried and afraid that something of that sought might happen someday, she never believed it would happen that soon.
Tiffany didn’t believed Michael would betray her like that; talk more of disrespecting her publicly the way he had done. The fact that the news of him k!$sing a hottie was all over the internet made her want to crawl into her shell and weep. Her heart was just too fragile and innocent to be hurt that way but sadly, the deed had already been done. However, if only she could wait for Michael to explain himself first before assuming or jumping into conclusions, then there probably would have been no need for her to feel bad or sad because the k!$s at the night club wasn’t in anywhere consensual. Michael was drunk and taken advantage of and therefore deserved the benefit of doubt at least but sadly, she had already jumped into conclusion that he cheated on her. Too bad!
After few minutes of intense silence upon seeing the news, Tiffany managed to take her shower, prepare and leave for work. While on her way, Michael’s call came in but she was too emotional to pick up because she didn’t want to start crying while in a public transport. She silenced the call and put her phone in,side her bag. The phone vibrated nonstop and she could tell he was still calling. In a bid to stay happy for the students she was about to teach in school that morning, she tried to take her mind off her personal life problems and focus on anything else that could make her happy.
On the other hand, Michael felt deep within that Tiffany had seen the k!$s news online. The fact that she wasn’t picking up his calls confirmed any fear he was having about her seeing the news online. “Oh God, I have messed up” he said to himself as he continually dialed her number but no one picked up. Unable to wait any longer, he got dressed and headed for Tiffany’s school to see her because he was at the verge of losing his mind due to her refusal to pick his calls. He arrived at the school very late while classes were ongoing.
At that point, a part of Michael wanted to go back home but another part of him wanted to see Tiffany by all means. He walked up to the security and asked to see Tiffany. “Hello sir, please I want to see a teacher that works here, her name is Tiffany” he said. The security officer took Michael to the secretary office and handed him over to her. “He said he wants to see Miss Tiffany, please attend to him” the security guard said and left.
One look at Michael and the secretary instantly identified him. “Oh my! Milano is this you? You are my husband’s favorite football player, this must be a dream. Please can I take a picture with you so I can show my husband when I get home” she happily said as she stood up from her chair for a selfie. Being a fine gentleman, Michael happily accepted and took the photo with her. He shook her hands and even recorded a short appreciation video clip with her phone for her husband. It was such a happy day indeed for the secretary.
Without hesitating, the secretary gave Michael a seat and went in to get Tiffany. Immediately Tiffany saw the secretary in her classroom, she could sense that something was up, especially with the wide smile on the woman’s face. “Miss Tiffany, you are wanted in my office right away by someone. Please come with me” she said as she held Tiffany’s hands. There and then, she knew Michael was there as she could feel him deep in her soul.
Immediately both women walked into the secretary office, Michael stood up when he saw the love of his life. When Tiffany saw him, she instantly froze due to the shock of seeing him for the first time in her work place. His presence there defeats every agreement they had about keeping their relationsh¡p private, it was as though he added salt to the injury of k!$sing another woman at the club the day before. Apparently, there was fire on the mountain!
“Hey babe, can we talk outside” Michael asked and without replying his question, Tiffany walked outside signaling him to follow her. When they were out of the school premises, she finally spoke out. “Why would you come to my work place to talk about the fact that you cheated on me last night, after we agreed to keep this relationsh¡p private?” She bluntly asked. Without hesitating, Michael countered her; “Babe I didn’t cheat on you, it was a mistake and I can explain what happened last night” he said, “Ok, go ahead and explain to me how photos of you k!$sing another woman managed to make it’s way to the internet this morning. Please go ahead!” She urged him but he could see the sarcasm in her statement. However, he went on to narrate everything that happened at the club. “I and my friends went out last night to party after a successful match this week. We took too many alcoholic shots which made me really tipsy. Those ladies you saw were called to our lounge by my friends and not me. They made advances towards me and as much as I can remember, I turned them down. I was drunk at the time so I can’t really remember what led to the k!$s in the photos circulating online but what I can say for sure is that I left shortly after that photo was taken. I didn’t cheat on you babe, you have to believe me” he soberly said.
One look into Michael’s eyes and Tiffany knew he was saying the truth. Despite still being angry, she knew it would be unfair to punish him for something he didn’t do. However, that didn’t mean he was entirely let off the hook. “Babe listen, no matter how much I love you, I won’t stay where I feel disrespected. It is already too much for me to be with someone as famous as you are but I’m trying my best not to let it overwhelm me. Let’s talk about this later after work. Bye!” She said and went back in,side the school complex. Shortly afterwards, Michael left too!
All through that day, the two lovebirds weren’t in their best of moods. Michael felt bad for disrespecting Tiffany the way he did but it wasn’t entirely his fault. Let’s cut him some slack, he was drunk and taken advantage of. He eagerly waited for Tiffany to be done with work so he could drop by at her house.
Just as planned, Michael paid Tiffany a visit that evening. She knew he was coming over because he called to inform her of his visit. While on his way, he bought flowers and some takeaway meals for both of them to eat when he gets there. Tiffany was marking her students test scripts when she heard a knock on the door. She knew it was Michael and got up to open the door. Immediately the door opened, Michael handed a huge bouquet of flowers over to her. “I’m sorry” he said as he gave her the flowers. She smiled faintly as she collected them from his hands. “Thank you” she said and made way for him to enter in,side the house.
When Michael has settled down, he dropped the takeaway food he bought on the center table and asked Tiffany to pick whichever one she wanted. She picked her favorite meal and they both began to eat. They didn’t talk much as they ate their meal. It was such an awkward silence all through but at least, they were both happy to be in each other’s presence.
After a wonderful meal, Tiffany cleared the table and came back to continue marking her script only for Michael to hold her w–st and drag her to his laps. “Leave me alone” she calmly said in a shy tone and Michael replied “No, Never!”. He began to peck her cheeks and other parts of her face. “I’m so sorry babe, forgive me. I promise never to disrespect you that way ever again” he said while still giving her multiple k!$ses. Despite initially resisting the k!$ses, she finally succumbed and they began to k!$s passionately. “I love you” they both said to each other in between k!$ses. Before either of them knew it, the sadness from earlier that day was gone.
Since Michael and Tiffany started dating, they haven’t made love to each other yet. They didn’t want to rush anything and this decision was mostly that of Tiffany. It was no doubt that she was such a sweetheart and angel but that didn’t mean she was a perfect human with no bad sides.
One thing Michael had to put up with in their relationsh¡p was the fact that Tiffany didn’t know how to compromise. If things didn’t go the way she wanted, there was bound to be a problem. For instance, the idea to keep their relationsh¡p extremely private was all Tiffany’s decision. In as much as Michael didn’t want to blow the trumpet that he was in a relationsh¡p or rub his girlfriend on everyone’s face, at least he wanted to show his girl off once in a while so that other women that wanted him dearly would know that he was taken. He also wasn’t happy with the fact that they had to go to extremely private places to hang out when he has so many favorites s₱0ts he wanted to take his girl to. He wasn’t used to the secretive lifestyle Tiffany had introduced him to but he was willing to adapt just to make her happy.
Also, the idea to abstaining from deep intimacy such as s-×ual intercourse was all Tiffany’s decision too. Despite the fact that they had a healthy intimate life void of love making, Michael still felt the void of not having every bit of her. He wanted more than she was willing to give and this began to strain their relationsh¡p unknowingly.
On the other hand, Tiffany had good reasons for every decision she had taken so far in her relationsh¡p with Michael. She was scared of the humiliation or intense heartbreak she would suffer if he flaunted her today and they broke up tomorrow. She didn’t want to be an object of ridicule or sympathy for his fans or the public if things went wrong. She loved Michael dearly but was scared regardless.
As their secrecy lingered, Michael was seen as a free bird in the eyes of the numerous ladies that wanted him. There was this particular one that was very close to winning his heart before Tiffany came along. She loved him but had no idea that he was taken and even if she knew he belonged to someone else, that wouldn’t stop her for having him. Her name was ‘Lauren’.
One fateful day, Lauren paid Michael a visit at his home. Thankfully, Tiffany had just left after spending the weekend over with her boo. Lauren used to come there often before she traveled outside the country few months back. When she returned, she had to visit Michael because she missed him dearly.
When Lauren arrived, the gateman was quick to recognize her so he let her drive in. She was dressed to kill and could s-duce even the toughest of hearts. Lauren was a hybrid spec and she knew it. Immediately Michael saw her, he was shocked because he knew she was out of the country. Happy to see her again, he gave her a friendly hug and let her in,side his home.
Drinks were served and a friendly conversation began. “About the lady you posted on your socials few months ago that went viral, did you later find her?” Lauren asked and Michael smiled knowing she was referring to Tiffany. He wanted to reveal to her that they were in fact dating but couldn’t because of all their agreement to keep their relationsh¡p a secret. He was scared that Lauren would broadcast to the whole world that he found the lady and was dating her, which could hurt Tiffany so instead of saying the truth, he lied. “It’s complicated, let’s talk about something else. How about you tell me what you have been up to these past months you have been abroad” he asked and she smiled. She gave him a quick recap about her life as they sipped their drinks.
As the conversation got deeper, they touched other areas of both their lives and it was at this point that Lauren got up from her seat and moved closer to Michael. Everything about this woman was tempting, even to her perfume. Deep down, Michael wanted her but the love he had for Tiffany gave him the strength to resist every temptation. Just when he thought he could successful withstand her till she leaves, something unexpected happened.
It turns out that Lauren had an ulterior motive for coming there that day and she came prepared as well. Before Michael knew what was happening, she stopped talking and looked into his eyes. While still trying to figure her out, she pulled her dress downwards, leaned a bit forward and k!$sed him. “I know you miss me and this body, well it’s all yours again” she said as she pushed her br××st out from the skimpy gown she wore. There and then, Michael froze!
