Chapter 13 📚📚

~ Tatiana ~

“I’m waiting ” he said smiling.
I started sweating though there was air-con in the house.
How do I get out of this mess?
I started coughing, pretending I choked on my food.
“here ” he gave me water.
I took it and sipped a little but continued coughing.
“I… I’ll use the restroom “I said and he nodded.
I went up to my room and slammed my door.
I heaved a sigh of relief and brought out my phone.

I put a call through to dad and he picked up.
“dad ” I called.
“what’s it angel ” he asked.
“dad Leo is here and it’s difficult to cope with him. Can you tell me the pet name Lanna calls him ” I asked and he laughed.
I started wondering if he was laughing at me.
“puppy ” he blurted out and I arched an eyebrow though he couldn’t see me.
“what ” I asked.
“Lanna calls him a puppy cause he said he’ll be with Lanna through out their life ” he explained and I breathed out an “oh”.
“OK dad, catch you later ” I said and hung up before he could say another word.

I just hoped I acted it well.
I didn’t tell him thank you and I just hung up.
I straightened myself up and walked downstairs, ready to act.
” puppy ” I called as I walked to the dinning.
I almost busted out laughing but I gently bit my l-ips to stop me.
He grinned widely and tried to hide his blush.
It’s working!
I took my seat and we continued our food.
After eating, Leo spent the day with me but later left.
I felt kinda sad cause he left.
Maybe because I was bored and alone in the house.
Dad came home and I dragged him up to my room so he could tell me all about Leo and Lanna.
“now start ” I said after tucking myself in bed.

I woke up from my bed with a pounding headache.
I can’t believe it’s my wedding.
I was thinking about it all night and now I have an headache.
The pain in my heart can’t stop aching, not when I haven’t found my Tatiana.
I got down from my bed and went to freshen up.
I’m doing this for my unborn child and nothing else.
I can’t punish the unborn child for a mistake I committed anyway.
After freshening up, I put on my black suite and plumped down on my bed.
I was to use white suit but I disagreed cause I’ll only use white suit to wed Tatiana.
White is pure while black is the opposite.

Black is just the perfect color that fits this wedding.
My door flew open and I clenched my fists.
I kept my cool thinking it was Debbie but I flared up when I saw it was Sasha.
Sasha is my younger sister, she’s the last born of the family.
She’s sassy like her name.
She also travelled but only God knows where.
She doesn’t like being bossed around.
She’s the master of herself and that’s why she doesn’t live with us.
Grandpa said she’s a disgrace to our family cause she lives a rough life.
She would’ve been disowned but Debbie, Ronaldo and I, being the elders, we didn’t allow that.

She might be stubborn and act like a slut but she’s still our little girl.
“have you no privacy ” I asked angrily.
“oh cut it out! You should be happy I came to attend your wedding ” she remarked and I rolled my eyes.
“get your butt up, I’m here to dress you up ” she ordered but I ignored her.
I felt her small soft hand, pulling my arm up and I sighed.
I got up and waited for her to do whatever she wanted.
She started with my suit, by arranging it well.

She did my flower tie and tucked a red hanky in my br-ast pocket.
She asked me to sit and I did.
She dried my hair and styled it.
I don’t know how she did it but I felt some strands of my hair on my forehead.
She brought out an hair pin and I jerked up.
“Sasha Buenevista, no way in hell you’re putting that in my hair ” I seethed.
“please, it’ll look cute ” she said with a puppy face.
“no ” I seethed and walked to my mirror.
“please ” she said with an hoarse voice and I looked back to see her eyes already welled up in tears.
Ah those manipulative tears.
“fine ” I said and plumped down on my bed.

She giggled and put it.
“I’m not even a girl ” I muttered under my breath.
I was done so Sasha and I got in her car and drove to the venue.
My family already went there.
We arrived and alighted.
I went to the alter and waited for Melanie to arrive.
I saw her walking down the aisle with her dad.
Isn’t she supposed to be beautiful at least just for today?
But she isn’t, she’s as ugly as the witch she is.
She came to the alter and we faced the priest to say the vows.
We made the vows and I was asked to k-ss the bride.
She crashed her l-ips on mine before I could even blink twice.

Last night dad told me all about Leo and Lanna.
Can you believe Lanna’s real name was Hanna but she changed it to Lanna?
The L there is from Leo’s name.
They said they were made for each other.
Dad told me lots of things about Lanna and it’ll help me a lot.
It was morning and after having breakfast, I sat with dad in the sitting room.
I switched on the TV and the first person I saw made my heart flatter.
Fernando in all his glory.
Gosh I’ve missed him so much.
He looked so cute in black suit.
He was on an alter and mins later, Melanie walked up to him.
I couldn’t believe my eyes so I got up to the TV and ran my hands down it.
M heart sank and it was like my heart was being cut into pieces.
He’s getting married.
Oh my God!.
I sank to the ground and cried.
“is he the one ” dad asked and I nodded in tears.
They will all pay, all of them!
Including Fernando!

Chapter 14 📚📚

~ Tatiana ~

I slowly opened my eyes and the familiarity of my room settled in me.
I remembered crying my eyes out and dad walked me to my room.
I must’ve fallen asleep.
Just few more months and I’ll give birth then I can go for my revenge.
I got up and went to freshen up.

I woke up the next day, already set for the drama that was about to unfold.
Dad had earlier told Leo that I was travelling to Chicago for some school stuffs.
I’ll soon put to birth so I won’t be spending long in Chicago.
Leo was sulking like a child and I couldn’t help but chuckle.
I was already in the car and Leo was beside my window.
Dad didn’t allow him to esc-rt me to the airport.

The initial plan was for me to be driven out of the compound like it as really going to the airport and when Leo had gone home, I’d come back home.
Ben, my driver stopped us at a corner and waited for dad to put the call through.
After what seemed like moths, Dad called and we drove back home.
Now no Leo would disturb me.
“what if he calls me ” I asked dad.
“he won’t, I told him I ceased your phone cause you were there just for studies ” he said and our nodded.
“you’re the best dad ” I said and hugged him.

“few more months and you’ll put to birth ” dad said and I smiled as the feeling of happiness engulfed me.
I’d be a mother.
“and I a grandpa” dad said and I giggled.
Didn’t realise I said that out loud.
Your doc would come here often to check up on you cause you’re soon to put to birth.
Dad looked at me and I noticed he was at the verge of laughter.
“what ” I asked with sarcasm visible in my tone.
“you’re pregnant but your stomach isn’t very big like most women ” he said and we chuckled.

It’s been weeks since I got married to Melanie and their weeks have been the worse in my life.
Her stomach was growing too and I had no option than take care of her.
We were at the dinning as usual and I sat in between Sasha and Melanie.
Rinaldo sat in between Debbie and mom while grandpa sat at the head of the dinning table.

I picked on my food slowly and paid no attention to their conversation.
“I’ve lost my appetite ” Rinaldo said and dropped his cultery roughly.
Debbie hit him at the back of his head and he glared at her.
“pick it up and start eating ” Debbie commanded.
He glanced at me and slept took his cultery then started picking on his food.
This wasn’t our usual breakfast but Debbie prepared this and I’m sure Rinaldo doesn’t like it as well.
After having breakfast, I went up to my room and Melanie followed.
She sat beside me on the bed but I acted like though she never existed.
“I don’t feel too well, I have an headache ” she said and I rolled my eyes.
“then go see a doctor ” I said.
She cussed under her breath and I cussed too.
I got up and took her hand.
“let’s go see a doctor ” I said and she grinned widely.
*Bitch, I ain’t doing this for you but for my child* I said inwardly.
I took her hand and we left.

~ Tatiana ~

It’s been weeks and dad and I I’ve succeeded in lying to Leo.
I was seated in the sitting room watching TV when the door flew open and a very furious Leo barged in.
I jumped to my feet at the sight in front of me.
I’d started shaking from his angry glare.
“you went to Chicago, Huh ” he asked angrily.
Hot tears already started streaming down my cheeks in fear of what he’d do to me.
“you are not my Lanna ” he yelled and I flinched.
He chest rose and fell as tears raced down his cheeks.
His eyes were red, fist in ball with clenched jaw.
“my Lanna… My Lanna ” he stuttered and held onto something to maintain his balance.
“my Lanna is dead ” he blurted out and almost collapsed.
“my Lanna is dead ” he cried, pacing back and forth.
“you’re an imposter, you used Lanna’s face ” he said between gritted teeth.
“you fooled us all ” he yelled and I squealed.
“you are even pregnant ” he blurted out.
“how could I’ve been so blind to know that you aren’t my Lanna, I noticed some changes but I didn’t say cause I didn’t had the thoughts that my Lanna could die and someone else could use her face ” he seethed.

He paused and looked straight into my eyes.
“get out ” he commanded and I froze on my s₱0t.
“get out of this house and our lives ” he yelled as I shivered in fear.
“I said get out ” he yelled, took me by my arm and dragged me out.
“no listen to me ” I begged but he wasn’t listening.
He pushed me out and locked the gate.
Gosh! Dad isn’t even home and I’m not with my phone.
I sat at a corner and cried.
It was cold outside so I started shivering.
I don’t even know when dad would be back.
I buried my face in between my thighs and cried.

~ Leo ~

I paced back and forth in the sitting room.
I can’t believe my Lanna is dead.
I can’t believe the love of my life is gone forever.
No goodbye, no last words, nothing.
I wasn’t even there for her.
I sunk to the floor and let out all my pains.
I’m afraid the pain in my heart can’t be healed.
Love is stupid.

I don’t ever want to fall in love, never again.
I sat on the couch as the thought that I just sent out a girl out of the house.
What if she gets hurt?
How dare she use Lanna’s face?
She’s even pregnant.
Dad didn’t notice this all along?
No matter what, I shouldn’t have sent her out like that.
I got off the couch and ran out.
I walked down the street till I saw her at a corner.
Her head was in between her thighs.
I slowly walked up to her and touched her.
She flinched and looked up to me.
I could see the fears in her eyes.
“let’s go in ” I said but she said nothing.
I pulled her up and gently walked her in.

I made her seat and she sniffed.
“care to explain ” I asked and she nodded gently.
She told me everything that happened in her life how the known Buenevistas ruined her life and how dad asked her to use Lanna’s face.
That means dad knows all along.
“I’m sorry ” I said as she cried.
“I didn’t meant to push you out like that, I.. ”
“I understand ” she cut me short and I nodded.
“so dad is in this your question for revenge ” I asked and she nodded.
“I can help you too ” I said and her head snapped up at me.
“why would you help me ” she asked.
“cause you aren’t the first the Buenevistas are ruining and if you wanna seek justice, then I’d gladly join you ” I said and she smiled broadly.
“second, you now have Lanna’s face and I’m grateful cause I’ll get to see her beautiful face everyday though it isn’t mine anymore ” I said and she smiled a little.
“nice meeting you, Tatiana Grande ” I said and she nodded with a smile.

#Months_later………….

“it’s hærd dad ” I said, p-nting heavily.
“push h-rder ” the doc said as I fought for breath.
“I can’t ” I retorted.
“you have to angel, remember the Buenevistas ” dad whispered in my ear and that alone seem to trigger my strength.
I have to be strong to take my revenge, I’m a strong girl and I can do this.
With one last scre-m and push, I felt the child come out.
My chest heaved as I tried to calm my breathing.
“a baby boy ” dad said and I smiled.
Now nothing is in my way for my quest for revenge and justice.
Watch out Buenevistas, Tatiana is coming!
