I woke up to see Kaden staring at me. ” Hey, good morning. ” I greeted.
” Good morning, ” he replied. ” How was your night?” He asked back.
” Mine was great, what about yours?”
He nodded. ” Good too. ”
I was smiling at him when I remembered that I had class with the physician. ” Oh no,” I said, shifting the duvet aside.
” What is it?” He asked with worry.
” Why didn’t you wake me up earlier? I have class with Doctor Ivan and I am supposed to be there before nine. ”
He held me back, pulling me to lie back on the bed. ” Practice can do some other day. Let’s have today for ourselves. ”
To be honest, I loved the sound of it.
Just as if he read my mind, he definitely knows I wasn’t in the mood to read what ever that is written in that Book.
And going to that library, it’s just like walking into dungeon. I don’t wanna go to that library today… Not anymore.
Just yesterday and I am already tired of reciting greek.
” Why do you hate the practice?” He asked me as we trailed down the stairs which led to the exit door.
” I just hate the languages, that’s all.”
” Why?”
” It’s so difficult for me to master them. And besides, latin is one of my worst subject back in high school. ”
He started laughing. ” Really? ”
” I always sneak out of the class when it was Latin period. ” I confessed. ” Though the teacher always asks of me, but honestly, that wasn’t my business. ”
” I wish I were your class mate, I would make you attend the class. ”
” Thankfully, you weren’t. I would have quited school a long time just for your sake. ”
He laughed aloud, his voice sounded angelic to my ears. He has this one sided dimple which enhanced those perfect smile.
” Look, it’s not like you are learning them as a common language, it’s for the sake of the pack and the f… ”
I didn’t let him finish his statement, I quickly cut him short. ” I know. I know. I know. I have to learn it to save the pack, I know. But yet, that still doesn’t change the fact that I hate greek and latin.
You can’t believe, I had to spend a wh0le day with Ivan, yet I couldn’t learn a thing. ”
” Really? ” He asked, surprised.
” Not really, though. I was able to recite a part of the Latin but, greek isn’t some thing to talk about. I almost had headache studying it. ”
” You just have to keep trying, that’s all. You’re a fast learner, you can do a lot better if you just calm down. But hold on, is that why you had to leave the library so soon? ”
I flew my eyes opened, there was no lie to tell him and for sure… He caught me.
” That was the only way I could leave the library. Besides, I have tried countless times to master them all. You know reading while sleepwalking is quite different from reading when conscious. ”
” I know. ”
” So, it’s not like I didn’t want to learn but, it’s more like I can’t get a shit from it. ”
” Maybe, I’ll have to study with you, guess that will be much better. ” He said.
” Seriously? ” I chuckled. ” Tell me, when did you started speaking greek?”
” Since I was twelve. I go to classes, it was one of my favorite subject. And to talk about latin, I speak only few. ”
We walked until we got to one of the gardens. We sat on the bench which was built under one of the umbrella shaped trees.
I have gone to the rest of the gardens, but never this one. We were quiet for about five minutes or less.
The breeze was so nice on my skin, I could even see the goose bumb growing on my body, sending shivers to my bones.
” It’s cool out here. ” I say, ” The breeze here blows like the ocean. ”
” You study nature a lot. ” He said.
” I’m a fan of the beach. ” We were silent for another two minutes, ” What kind of children do you want?” I threw at him.
He moved his eyes to me, ” Children?”
Okay, was this the right time to ask? Of course, it is.
” Yes, children. ” I repeated. “What kind do you want us to have, a girl or a boy? ”
“Oh, well I so much love baby boys, but, any can serve.”
” How many do you wish to have? ”
” Why don’t we say, I wish to have both genders at the same time. Talking about the number, uhmm… I was thinking about having three. ”
” Three? ”
” Yeah three. ”
” Okay, like two girls and a boy or, vice versa? ”
” The vice versa. ”
” Oh please. ” I chuckled, resting my head on his shoulder. ” We haven’t talked about my father.” I reminded.
” He’s still in the hospital, though he is getting better but the doctors said he needs more attention. Thankfully, his internal org-ns aren’t damaged, there’s still hope for his survival. ” He explained.
I nodded.
” But I have decided to bring him to the pack as soon as he gets discharged from the hospital. You can pay him a visit anytime you want. ”
I looked at him, beaming my l-ips with a small smile. ” Thank you. ” He rubbed my cheek,
” It’s nothing. Very soon, he’s gonna become my father-in-law. I can’t wait for that day to come. ”
I leaned back on his shoulder. ” Me too. Sometimes I think about my first vision, the part where Evelyn said about you ruling the wh0le world. I was wondering what it would be like to watch every one bow at your feet.
It’s glorious, isn’t it? When such thing happens, and then you will have the Moon Walker Pack at your right hand. ” I sighed heavily, ” It’s three years to the final war, are you ready? ” I looked at him again.
” There is something my mother always told me when I was little, some times fate changes. We can change fate only if we make a move.
I don’t have to wait for that day to come, in order to win a war, you’ve got to make alliances. And that’s what I am going to do.
I don’t need to have enemies to fight against me, I just need to have them by my side to fight against my real enemies.”
” Who are your real enemies?” I asked.
He looked at me, ” Humans.” He simply said. ” I know, I haven’t gotten their problem because it’s not yet the time. But when the time comes, I’m just so scared of the fate of your kind. It’s really not going to be good. ”
He sighed softly.
It’s clear that his fear for my kind was gonna be wiping them all out from the earth surface. I remember in one of the books Gene always read for me when I was a kid, humans is said to be wolf’s greatest enemies.
Most times, I wonder why it has to be the humans. Then I came to realize that the hunters never stops until they have them all dead.
Some how I also wonder why this humans can’t let them be, it’s not as if they attack them or some thing. It’s just an act of wickedness as I see it.
If the wolves would have to kill them all then it’s not something to be concerned about, somehow they deserve it some how they don’t.
Now I am speaking for the innocent ones. Those who knows nothing about the existence of this animals, and to those who really loves them like I do now.
And not excluding the fact about my mother and two sisters who hates the wolves as much as a wolf hunters does, did I ever mentioned that I don’t care if they are among those to be killed??
Of course, I really don’t.
They had the hærd stoned heart to such dreadful act to my father, likewise I won’t mind if they all die also.
I’m not trying to sound rude or wicked… They actually mean nothing to me now.
