CHAPTER 17 ✔

(The strategy)

The meeting with the board of director was very good. Everyone approved my strategies and I found favorite with the CEO,I don’t miss the remark and smiles from the sales manager Mr Zuk.
I knew he was after me since the day I stepped into the company but I never cared but right now that Jesse is out of my life {a lie my mind said 🤨},I think I should try him that’s only if he talk.

The rest of the day was spent in the CEO office. I was giving him details how the strategies would work,the CEO really commended me for my job,I felt really good even though I was forced to do this I am enjoying it now.
Whenever my mind drift back to my dream of becoming a lawyer,I still feel empty but anytime I wake up and remember l am a business woman I feel elated.

Mr Zuks walked into my office with a letter from the CEO. I opened it and it says I would be attending a meeting with Mr Zuks at Dubai to represent our company. I felt good and bad at the same time.
I would be going in the next two months,I called my Mum and tell her how things have been going in my careet,she was happy to the extent of wanting to block my ears with her shout of joy.

When she asked of Jesse, I told her the truth but my Mum won’t hear she believes that I should listen to him for a while that something was fishy and I should find out I only said OK.
She gave the phone to dad and he was still bent in settings up my own business for me and asked for my siblings they are as funny as ever,I will miss them all {including Jesse 😔}

There are lots of things in my mind right now but the first one is Lucy.
I love her so much that can’t do without her,it almost two months she rejected me not break up 😔 cause am not taking it until I explain things to her and I felt dejected. I don’t want to loose her,I can’t even loose her that it 🤧 .

Well you all must be blaming me but it’s not my fault it’s my parents fault. My Dad had a friend,the province Governor of California.
They were friends from business field. My Dad betrothed me to his friend daughter Viona all in the name of business.

That day Lucy saw me not caught me,I got back from my last meeting for the day,planning on spending the rest with Lucy so when she called I told her not to come but I didn’t tell her am coming.
When I got to my office I met Viona the one my parents just talked to be about last two days that she was betrothed to me,I was angry I had to leave their present. She was in my office sitting on the couch looking like a monkey with that concrete of make up on her face.

I got in and sat on my chair and asked her what she came for,she stood up and started walking like an Ostrich in the name of cat walking to my side.
Oh she was trying to sed-ce me the keyword try,she got to my side Clinton and acting like a gum to my body I was still trying to free myself from her when Lucy came in.
This was all my parents fault,to worsen it all my Mum was in support kd it,everything that is happening are just bunch of rubbishes.

I already left my Father’s business and set up a business on my own. I would be attending meeting at Dubai,all other company were to be there,well it was all for a contract.
My company wants to give out a contract and it turned out that all companies wanted the contract. I had to order for a meeting with all the companies anticipating for the contract at Dubai,from there I would choose the company with good quality.

I don’t know what to do,I am fed up Lucy doesn’t want to hear me out and it killing me softly everything is shattered,my heart is broken and it only Lucy that can mend it,I want Lucy and Lucy alone.
What do I do,I think I should settle this meeting at Dubai first,then I would know my next line of action.

I don’t Mr Zuks is the right person for me,so I declined his request to be his girlfriend. My mind always drift back to Jesse his smile,naughtiness,stubbornness,I could get off it but one thing remain unchanged he cheated on me. I had no option but to leave him.

I and Mr Zuks are almost at the airport to give to Dubai,I spoke to the CEO about the plan and he said all will be well. The journey to Dubai wasn’t that long,we got there early so we had extra time to scan the environment. I hope my company is given the contract cause I would be full filled if that can be done.
After some hours of scanning and sight seeing I and Mr Zuks left our apartment and went straight to the venue where the meeting would be hold,I was kinda of nervous but something in me keeps calming me down.

I was almost late for the meeting but I had to sort out some things. I was in my car talking to my manager when a presence struck me it was Lucy.
she was with another man oh Gud don’t tell me she moved on when am still here then am damaged to the core. If Lucy had moved on then won’t want to listen to my explanation that even if we have the chance to.

Right now I am not in a good but I had to put on a smile and wipe off my tears cause I was already crying. I walked into the conference room to see Lucy and the man sitting beside her,Why can’t she be doing here?.

The CEO of this company was just taking so long. I looked up from my phone only to see Jesse walked in,taking the CEO’s seat. What in earth is he doing here?,us he the CEO or better still he is stalking me absolutely no ,so did he leave his Father company?.

After all said and done,the contract was awarded to company. I know in my mind that Jesse did that on a purpose maybe to appease me,well it didn’t move me and now I am getting nearer to him.
Throughout the meeting we avoided each other,I do catch him stealing glances at me but who cares. Mr Zuks was trying to flatter me with his words,he thinks it’s of his presentation that made Jesse give our company the contract little did he know that I was the one behind it all.

I felt someone putting something into my bag I turned and saw a young boy,I wanted to stop him but was interrupted by Mr Zuks saying it is time to start off our journey back to California.

I can’t deny the fact that I missed Jesse,how bad but that doesn’t change the fact that he cheated on me why?. We got to the airport,I took a little time to scan the place again it a nice place in less than five minutes the plane took off and I slept off. The pilot announcement wakes me up,geez it is good to be back.

As I stepped into my apartment I threw off my shoes and slept off. I was waken by the alarm,no work today the CEO gave Me Zuks and I a week off so I guess am in for some fun. I started ransacking my bag for my phone when something dropped from my bag,it was a card. I take it up and that us was for Jesse,I threw it into the trashcan immediately oh so that was what the young boy dropped into my bag huh.
I dragged myself to the bathroom,about twenty minutes or more I was fully dressed. My agenda for today is to go for shopping then drive off to a cool and quiet place,I had to cool off my brain and think .

I got to the shopping mall if about thirty minutes drive. I took the basket and tasted picking what I needed when I sighed familiar figure,it was a girl. I looked at her well then it struck me she is the province governor daughter, Viona. She was the one I saw with Jesse the in his office now I got it,she is also famous you know.

Well that not my concern{who am I kidding she just stole my boyfriend 😥} since I have been able to bring back my company shareholders all of them are how back and plus the contract awarded to us {I meant the company} it was a boom. I continued my picking and dropping about one hour {don’t judge me I came for shopping you know you shop it all😉}. I left her there she must be that type of a shopping freak cause I met her here and am leaving her now. I went to the cashier and paid off my bills I was going to my car struggle with my bags and also want to reach my ringing phone when I bumped into someone,I looked up and saw him.
