Only creatures could see how wicked my uncle his. And I promised to deal with him after getting my brother out of this mess. I will so much deal with him.
I stared at the wall clock and see it was just 4 PM. I will have to wait till the next day to see my brother.
How on earth am I going to cope with this day that looks like infinity. I know my brother is damn troublesome but is still the best brother.
He doesn’t lie but can lie for heaven all because of me. He hates disloyalty but can risk his loyalty all because of me.
He’s just 16 but he behaves like a mature guy. I can’t believe is not around me.
My mind was baffled. My heart worries as they drift for him. I could feel the long distance between us.
“No this is not going to happen”I wailed holding my head.
“I must be dreaming” I pitched myself crying so lonely
. “Is this true? Damn! My Dason is away from me. I didn’t even know where my brother was right now. I can sense the distance” I couldn’t bear this grief.
My heart longs for him. “I was so silly to have to go and find that brat trouble, if I hadn’t spat on him then my brother won’t be in this trash. He would be right here with me. Two days and everything has already changed “My inner mind cried out.
I felt the guilt deep in my spine. “I will not trouble you again, Please come Dason, don’t do this to your sister” I sat and rest my head on our bed. My body shivers

Khalid POV
I alighted from my car and went to take dan from the front passenger seat. I picked him up from school as pledged. I strolled into my living room with Dan in my arm.
On getting in,side I was so stunned to see Emma or whatever her name is.
I hate this lady with passion. I don’t hate people but when I hate, I hate from the depth of my heart.
Like seriously I dispersed her sight. If not for this foolish woman. What could an idiot like her be doing with her filthy legs in my house?
I can imagine that. She’s not even beautiful thank goodness for her complexion. Even the South African girl among us in school back then was way better than her.
I wonder why Leo was attracted to such a fool. If I am bereft of girls I would still not date this disgusting being.
She inflicted that stupid Evan. I can’t even accept her If she applies for a cleaner.
I was so lost in my thought. I will have asked her to leave my house, but what could I have done when she was invited there by her fool mate.
“Dad, drop me”Dan jolt me out of my thought.
“Auntie” My little boy ran towards her. Emma opened her arm on seeing him.
My goodness, how could he be so intimate with this devil woman? I just wish they don’t inflict this devil act on him. But to my greatest surprise, he change his direction and run to Clara who was standing at a corner.
A smile elapsed on my face. “That’s my boy!”I murmured but it was loud enough for anyone to hear me.
She shamelessly packages her hand back to herself. She sneezes.
“What the heck! Don’t you have manners”I was so irritated by her disgusting act? How dare she sneeze like that? she doesn’t even have any composure. She gazes at me.
“When you know you are a coronavirus patient why don’t you go and get yourself treated and stop behaving like an illiterate,” I said and walked past them heading towards the staircase.
“Dad, what’s she doing here. I hate her”Dan shouted.
“Only Evan can tell” I paused and stare at her.
“She is the only one who keeps animals as friends,” I said with a smirk.
They both fumes. Who cares. “She’s not choosy at all. I would rather keep the dog as a pet instead of a peac*ck. She has long necks. I hate her.”He said irritatedly.
I couldn’t believe I had already started laughing. Clara also joins in the laughter. She didn’t even attempt to leave.
I look at the table. What the heck! how dare they touch the expensive beers that I purposely bought only for important people? Well, let her enjoy.
“Emma, I must say you enjoyed this beer. Am very sure your yearly salary can’t buy this. Well, feel at home. But don’t be too relaxed because this is not a home for intruders like you “I gave her a deadly glare and go towards the staircase.
I stood halfway and look at them. Clara was busy laughing silently.
“Come to my room,” Evan said and they both stood up. I nodded my head in pity.
I can’t allow her to frustrate me. We gat to frustrate each other. Clara gives me a thumb up.
Naughty girl, the relation with her is more than a maid. I would rather make someone like her a wife than that disgusting fool.
That makes me remember my anonymous lady. There’s something special I haven’t understood. It’s been a very long I have been receiving her letters but each time I wanted to reply something happens.

“Dason, Please I want to have some sleep don’t wake me up. I will do the house chores later” I yawn out of my sleep.
I opened my eyes and I realized Dason wasn’t there. Flashes of what happened yesterday came knocking in my head.
I slept beside the bed.
“Good morning Jasmine. Get up from that place and get ready. Your husband-to-be has called me, he said his driver and guards are on their way. And also the house would be demolished today. I am so lucky to have you, my girl. I will be waiting for you”My greedy Uncle said standing by the door.
I didn’t budge, as I gaze at him with so much hatred. “Make sure you are done soon” He turned and left.
I shouldn’t have stood up but can’t sit here all my life I won’t be able to see my brother. I gather some courage and went to take my bath.

Khalid walked into his office and went straight to his inner room in his office.
His office was a big one. That he has a room where he can relax or even eat and dine with anyone he likes.
“A lot of work is on my table. Leo already completed his part”Khalid murmured. His face shows he wasn’t happy and was well disturbed.
He got a call that very morning that they needed him to come for a shot. Which he rejects telling them why would they just be informing him.
He makes them understand he’s an impromptu man and has a lot of work to deal with.
But they pleaded with him to do it for them, as the person who was expected to do it has an issue and was just informing them.
They need someone and couldn’t think of anyone older than him. They promised to double his money. But he makes them understand he’s not a man who is entitled to only money.
He told them he would be coming and told them they would only pay the amount they wanted to offer the person who was supposed to do it.
This is the thought going on in his head. He looks stressed out. He picked up his table phone and dial the secretary’s number.
“Don’t allow anyone in till further notice. You can only allow Manager Leo in. I have a lot of work on my table and I won’t like it if was disturbed”Khalid Instructed. He further added.
“Anyone who wants to see me should be directed to Leo. Please I beg of you”.
“Okay sir, I will do just that”The secretary replies from the other end. I head to my table and found a letter.

A smile elapsed his dreaded face. His heart melted as all his bone wine and dine. He huffed and continue reading.

He took a pen and tore a sheet of paper to reply to the letter. His fiance barge into this office. His smile faded.
“Khalid what the heck did you say to your secretary?. Not to allow me in!. Sorry, you are mistaking I am your wife-to-be.
We are melt for each other “Evan yelled with an emotionless face.
“Why are you always like this. I have a shot tonight. I have to complete the work here then get ready for my shot, that’s why I asked her not to allow anyone in”Khalid shouted and hit the table angrily. He felt so frustrated.
“You will see”Evan left the office and slammed the door angrily. He took the letter, and smile with teary eyes.

He saw him staring and smiling at a letter “Your mysterious lady again. What are you gonna do about her?” Leo asked.

Throughout the ride there was silence. I didn’t bother to ask a word about where we are going.
All I know is that either is a good place all bad, we are in together not until I found my brother.
“Here we are, “One of the guards said as we arrives Infront of a big mansion.
I glare at the Mansion through the car window. Damn! Is beautiful. Only from the outside structure, you would know the in,side will be just like heaven.
If not for the situation I found myself I will be drowning right now. I decide to act as if am not moved by the richness of the place.
One of the guards come to opened the car door for me to get down.
“You can come down ma, we are home,” He said to me like am some kind of queen. I am a queen in my world after all.
“Thanks, I can do this myself. my hand is still functioning ” I said nicely.
But he still refuses to leave the door.
“Young man what’s your problem. Can’t someone be nice again, or can’t you listen to simple instructions”I wailed?
“Sorry,” He said without taking a glare at me. “Keep that to yourself, can you leave the way for me now “I said to mean.

“Why do you move to the front. Are you planning to strangulate me from behind” I said with an eye roll. What do they think of themselves?. They kept my brother hostile and they want to be treating me like a queen.

Like I care?. I stared at him and also look at the guard glancing at me.

I walked behind them as we led the way towards the mansion. We got to the door. One of them press the button, and the door opened.
We followed suit. “What the heck! another door. Is this a bank or what? Why so much security” I murmured.
It’s even a lift! Then I start wondering how am going to escape with my brother. This is going to be hærd though.
The lift finally stopped. He press the button and it opened.
What am I seeing? Is this heaven or paradise. Because I don’t even know what to compare it to. My eyes couldn’t restrict what am seeing.
There’s real wealth in here. “No, composed”My subconscious mind warned. I am sure if not because of what’s happening now. I will have admiring it.
“My queen is here in the palace”The stupid guy who I don’t even know what’s the name is said. I was miffed looking at him.
“Who is your queen?”I wanted to ask. But I cautioned myself.
I start looking around if I would see Dason anywhere but I couldn’t find him
“Where’s my brother, young man?”I asked angrily.
“Relaxed. Your brother is okay” He said and didn’t budge from where he sat.

“In this house, but you aren’t allowed to see non meet him till further notice”He cleared his throat.
How rude! “Why? Is he not my brother? How dare you decide for us?”I yelled at him.
“Jasmine shut up now”Uncle thundered and wanted to slap me.
“Hey man! Don’t dare do that. You don’t have right over her again. She’s mine now. I have paid you off. You are here because I want you to be present at our wedding as her father, understood?.
So, whenever I am discussing with my wife stay away “He warned my uncle.
Good, I love what he did. That’s what greedy people like him get. They lost their dignity over some unimportant things.
Now he has had a taste of his own medicine. “Hey! I can see you have guts. Don’t forget you are also talking to your father-in-law to be if you consider me your wife to be.
You should respect him”I have to put up some shows just to let my uncle know am not as selfish as he was.
“Jasmine, he’s right. So stop disrespecting him”My uncle warned.
I know he won’t change easily. Whatever!
“Uncle can’t you hear what he said. That I can’t see my brother. On what basis?”I asked my uncle.
“That’s because I don’t want anything to distract our marriage”He answered.
“Really! If you don’t lemme see my brother I will not proceed with his marriage. That’s final” I yelled and walked angrily to him. I hold his collar tightly.
His guards wanna interfere but he stopped them.
“I can see you aren’t the kind of someone to be handled easily”He draws me closer and makes me sit on the sofa.
He stood up and brought his l-ips closer to mine.
He’s mad or what. “Not here baby” He held me tightly by my hand and headed to where I don’t know.
But with the way of seeing things, Maybe to his room. What the hell is he going to do?
He keeps dragging me while I was baffled.

I was with Dan in the living room playing a video game,as he as requested me to play with him.
Evan was busy with her phone, someone slammed the door open.
My eyes went straight to the door. I look at her hand, I think am seeing bags.
Goodness! She! As she planned to come and stay here for a lifetime or what?. Evan stood up smiling.
