Mitchell’s POV

My heart thumped faster as John came out with his ledger. I’m so nervous right now and the only thing that is making me calm at least, is Chris hand that is holding mine.

“I’m going to be reading the profit out for everyone to hear so it won’t be like I cheated you guys or something” Grandma said

“I’m only going to call the profit you made in this month so John, open to the last page” she added

John took the ledger from her and started opening it with a smile on his face. I wonder how these kind of people turned out to be my family.

How could Hazel and John stoop so low? They will go to any length at all just to make me look useless. I know that there’s a slim chance for me to win this task but I really do hope I win so I can put them in their place.

I just have to listen to grandma call out the amount for John and I’ll be able to know my fate already because John and Hazel will be having almost the same profit.

“Wow! This is incredible! You made this much profit within just three months?” Grandma exclaimed

What the heck! Is she kidding me? She’s fully aware of the plan but now, she’s pretending? Chris’ tight grip on my hand made me calm myself a bit. I was already boiling in rage but thankfully, Chris is right beside me.

If they continue like this, then I don’t know for how long I will be able to control myself.

“Of course grandmother! I’m the only grandson of this family so of course I have to make a difference” he said

“John Campbell made a profit of $95000 and $105,000 this month from his two companies and I’m so proud of him. I doubt if anyone of you would make that kind of profit but just for transparency and to be sure, I’ll check everything” she said

John Campbell made a profit of $95,000 and$105,000 she’s proud of him? Like seriously? Is she kidding me? I know I got help from an angel but what the heck! My profit is more than double of his own and she says no one can make that profit among us?

Well, I will just keep quiet and wait until it’s my turn. I guess my patience, endurance and hærd work over the years is finally paying off. I will definitely put them in their place today.

“Next on the line should be Hazel. Can you come over with your ledgers?” she said with a smile

Hazel presented the ledgers also with a smile on her face while I scoffed in disgust. How exactly did this people turn out to be my family?

“Wow! This is incredible and totally understand. Hazel made a profit of $105,000 and $95,000 which is the same as John’s profit. I’m going to choose the heir or heiress today no matter what happens even if I have to split the properties equally” she said

Equally? This was their plan from the start but I feel incredibly happy that I’m going to be shattering their plans to pieces.

“Now to the last person! Mitchell Campbell, can you bring your ledgers forward?” she asked

She wasn’t smiling this time, but had a frown on her face instead. Exactly what both of us need! She’s going to be shocked anyway so smiling will do her no good.

“Let’s see what you’ve done in these past months” she mumbled as she waited for me to open the journal to the last page

“So, Mitchell’s profit for her first company is $300,000 and the second…. Wait! Did I say $300,000?” she asked with shock written all over her face while I kept the smirk on my face

“Did you make the mistake of adding a zero to the amount” she asked

“I made sure to triple check so I can assure you that there’s no mistake” I said confidently

“No! I absolutely can’t believe this. I need proof to confirm that what you’ve written here is actually true” she said

“Wow! John and Hazel didn’t need any proof for the profit they made but I need proof? Are you kidding me?” I scoffed

“Yes, I can’t believe this. How can you have this much profit when you just started the company three months ago?” she asked

“Fine then. I will show you that my company is among the top twenty companies here. Will that be enough proof?” I asked

“Yes, show me” she agreed

I took out my phone and showed her the new ranking of companies that was released the previous day.

“How is this? You have enough proof now right?” I asked

“Y..yes I do” she stuttered

I’m sure she wants to say something but doesn’t know what to say. What could she possibly say by the way?

“I don’t need to call out her profit in the second company, this is more than enough already” she said calmly

“The three tasks given to the grandchildren of this family has been evaluated and I’m going to be picking the heiress right now” she said and paused

“The winner of this task is already known to us since I called everyone’s income out and so, Mitchell Campbell is the new heiress to the Campbell’s properties” she announced

“What?!! That’s not possible grandma! How can you allow her to rule over us? You know how grumpy she is already. If you make her the heiress, she will be so full of herself and won’t have regard for anyone” John said

“I never mentioned attitude when I gave you the tasks. Mitchell won this so you have to accept her as the heiress and put in your best next time” Grandma said

Chris pulled me into a tight hug and rained k×sses all over my face right there.

“The documents are here, I need your signature” Grandmother said

I pulled away from the hug and went to put my signature on the documents that legally proves I was the heiress of the Campbells.

I ignored John and Hazel’s murmuring and nagging and just focused on my husband instead. We left them there and both headed to our room.

As soon as we got in, Chris slammed his l-ips on mine and made me lay on the bed. As we k×ssed, one of his hands worked on my dress and in no time, I was left in just my undies.

He paused with the k×ss and stared straight into my eyes while I looked away shyly.

“Can I continue?” he asked

I gently nodded my head and he immediately took off the rest, making me stark naked before him.

He put a finger in my p***y and slowly move it in and out. After a few minutes, he made use of two fingers and although it was painful, it was pleasurable too.

He placed his l-ips on my b**bs and s×¢ked on it while he fumbled with the other one. He teased my n****e with his tongue and bite it gently while I m0×ned in ecstasy.

After he was done with that, he placed his d**k at the entrance of my p***y and slowly made his way through. The moment he broke my hymen, I let out a sharp s¢ræm and felt the warm liquid on my thighs.

He whispered soothing words to my ear and continued the love making while I m0×ned in pleasure and pain at the same time.

He soon reached climax and he pulled out of me and released the c*m on my stomach. He carried me in his arms and together, we went to the bathroom to take a shower before retiring to bed.

“How do you feel now?” he asked

“I feel better, thank you” I said with a smile

I’ve finally lost my v-rginity and I’m glad I gave it to someone that really deserves it.

“You said you were going to tell me something after the task is over, what was it?” I asked

“First promise me that you won’t break up with me because of this and you won’t end our marriage either even when the contract is over” he said

“What if I promise you and it turns out to be something that I can’t forgive you for? Will you still want to be with me, knowing I might never forgive you for as long as I live?” I asked

“I hope it won’t turn out to be like that but even if it turns out that way, I still want to be with you forever” he said

“Fine, I promise” I shrugged

“So, the thing is….I found out who my parents were and I’ve gotten mg identity” he said

“Really? Why didn’t you tell me about it? It’s really not fair” I pouted

“I’m really sorry! I thought about so many things and I realized it would be best to keep it from you until the task is over” he said

“Wow! So who were your parents?” I asked

“They were the Rodriguez. The popular Rodriguez that was once the richest family in America” he said

“Are you kidding me?!” I exclaimed

“No, I mean it. I made sure to double check and confirm it properly” he said

“Wow! But none of their properties are available again, I guess” I said sadly

“Their properties are available and I can make new available ones too” he said

“Really? Why haven’t you taken over it yet?” I asked

“It was in the hands of the Edwardo’s before. They killed my parents and sister and even took all their companies and properties but unfortunately, they had the fake documents so I retrieved everything back with the real documents” he explained

“How come I haven’t heard of something like this?” I asked

“You know the company that is helping you presently? The company that helped you with your business from the scratch? It’s one of my parents companies” he said

“There’s no way I’m believing that? How can it be your parents company and why didn’t you say anything to me?” I asked

“I didn’t say anything to you because I didn’t want you to be disqualified. Your grandparents might disqualify you from participating because of my wealth and I know how you will feel about that.

You might hate me and blame me for not making you prove yourself to your family and I don’t want that. I can take everything except you hating me and that’s why I hid it from you. I’m so sorry” he apologized

“I still don’t think you should have hidden something so important from me. You know how much I wished and hoped that you’ll find your parents but you kept it from me when you eventually found them. It’s not fair” I said sadly

“I know and I’ll do anything to make up for it. Just ask for anything at all and it will be done, I’m really sorry” he added

“I’ll think of something later. For now, I need to take a short nap and recover from the stress my grandparents put me through just so I can be an heiress.

I’m going to be having my first shoot tomorrow morning so I need all the rest I can get. Also, we will be moving from this house very soon and I also need to prepare for that.

By the way, thank you for being an angel in disguise for me. If not for you, there’s no way I could have gotten close to winning that task. I’m so grateful” I said sincerely

“No need to mention it. I’m just kind of scared of a little tiny thing” he said

“What’s that?” I asked curiously

“I haven’t told your dad about it yet because I wanted you to be the first person. He’s going to feel betrayed if I tell him about it now, I don’t know what to do” he said

“It’s fine! My dad is very understanding so once you explain things to him, there would be no problem. Take a good rest tonight and prepare to tell him tomorrow” I said with a smile

“Thanks baby, I love you” he pecked my l-ips lightly and turned off the lights as we both wandered off to Dreamland.
