By the time I could make up an excuse, Mwikali had already walked away and before I followed her to turn down her lunch offer, I saw Sly walk out of the office; she was ready to go for lunch.
“I am ready sir.” Silvia Edward said after she met me at the reception.
“Wait for me outside I am coming.” I said then went towards Benerdeta’s office.
I found Mwikali getting ready to go for lunch as well. I did not even knock the door, I just walked in and closed the door behind me. Mwikali’s office had a nice enclosure and with the door closed, nobody would know what was going on in there.
“Hey, you are here already! Actually I was getting ready to get going. Should we go together or you will find me there” She asked smiling.
“Am sorry dear but today it will not be possible. I am meeting up with Edwin in the next twenty minutes ; there is something he wants us to discus and he claims that it is urgent.” I lied.
“Well, too bad then. We shall postpone it to tomorrow instead, I hope you don’t have plans tomorrow.” She said then winked.
“Tomorrow am all yours darling; I miss your ride so much.” I replied then winked back.
She then walked to the door and locked it then took off her top and was left with only her brassiere. She then pinned me on her desk and began removing my belt. I knew if I agreed to give her what she wanted, I would end up disappointing Sly and that was the last thing I wanted.
“Babe, tomorrow am all yours, I have to get going before it gets late.” I said then gave her a deep k-ss.
“I can’t wait for tomorrow darling, I just miss how you make me scre-m. Talking of which, by the way I am informed that you have a new secretary!” She said then gave me the kind of look that a jealous person gives the spouse when they suspect anything. +
“Are you not the one who hired her?” I asked perplexed.
“No my dear, she was sent from my boss’ office and he was specific that she should work in the Editorial office; he has the final say you know.” Mwikali replied.
“But down there I have the final say.” I said jokingly pointing her lower abdomen.
That was when I realized that it was Teyie who had hired Sly and not Mwikali; I felt a bit relaxed since it was not a trap after all. I excused myself and walked out of the office smiling like a monkey which had seen a ripe banana; I had the clearance to get closer to my secretary.
I had called an Uber while I was walking out of the office, Sly and I got into the Uber and left for Prince George Resort in downtown; the resort had a serene and conducive environment.
We both sat at the back of the car and I kept on staring at Silvia’s thighs since her skirt had risen above her knees after she sat down.
“So, where were you working before you came here?” I asked curiously.
“I was working at the head office sir.” She replied calmly.
I kept on engaging her in a friendly conversation until we got to the resort where I had made the reservation. The Uber dropped us and left then we went ahead to our reserved table; I was out to please Sly. I pulled the seat for her and then unfolded the napkin for her; I could see her blush off.
“Thank you sir.” I said shyly.
The waiter then served us and after enjoying the delicious lunch, I ordered for a bottle of wine. I just wanted Sly to see me as a friend and not as her boss.
After enjoying the wine, Sly suggested that time for lunch was over and we should go back to work. I did not want to look like a careless boss so I paid for the bill for lunch and called the Uber once again.
While we were seated at the lobby waiting for the Uber to arrive, I saw Mwikali’s car drive through the Resort’s main gate. I immediately got up and grabbed Silvia’s hand. +
“What is going on?” She asked shocked.
“The boss is here. If she finds us both here, things will get bad.” I replied pointing at Mwikali’s car.
Sly froze and began trembling when she saw Mwikali get out of the car; I grabbed her hand and we went towards the gardens outside the building.
“Stay here until I text you or I come for you.” I said to her after we got to the gardens.
“Where are you going?” She asked sounding tensed.
“I am going to meet up with the boss lady.” I replied calmly.
“You can’t be serious sir! You are risking your job.” Sly said.
“Don’t worry about me dear, I am not getting fired anytime soon. The problem will be if she finds both of us out for lunch together” I said calmly.
“Okay sir, I will be waiting here.” She said then took my hand and gave me an innocent look; she had began falling close to me.
“In case I don’t come for you, the Uber will be waiting for you at the gate.” I said then gave her a comforting smile.
I then left her seated at a table in the gardens and went to meet Mwikali. While I was walking back into the main building of the Resort from the gardens, Mwikali was walking to the reception. I was about to go to her with my arms open ready to hug her when I saw Teyie walk in behind her; he was facing the direction which I was.
I immediately took a U-turn and quickly headed back to the gardens. +
“Is she gone?” Sly asked curiously.
“No. I thought she came alone but she was with the big boss, Mr. Teyie.” I replied…..
